After pandemic this place has become so cheap. I ordered bulgogi bento and there was no meat at all. Literally 10% was meat and the rest are all vegetables. Mostly cabbage and bell peppers. Horrible. Kimchi stew was disgusting. Why would you make kimchi hotpot sweet? I had to recook it's and it's still nasty. I would never ever order from this cheap place ever AGAIN. I've never seen any Korean restaurant so STINGY. Be aware of this place! They don't provide any meat in food when they sell it for FULL price. Very bad business. Also haven't seen any korean restaurant who doesn't give free kimchi side dish. All the ingredients they use is not traditional Korean ingredients. Great option for simple "homemade" style korean food in the Sunnyside area! The price point is great for a satisfying meal that you can do regularly. They taste authentic and I like their spicy pork over rice and LA Galbi set especially. Cheesy dobokki is great too! read more

Their food is so salty and not worth to pay. I would recommend ppl to find other good Korean restaurants. There is a lot of Korean restaurant that serves a lot better food with much cheaper price. Love that there's a Korean spot in Sunnyside so I don't have to trek to Flushing for some of my favorite comfort foods. We ordered a set meal (split between two). Rice cakes (ddukbokki) were great! Perfectly chewy and soft. Most places don't cook ddukbokki well, but Doma got it just right. Kimbap is a hearty portion with a great filling to rice ratio. Donkatsu was crispy and the sauce was on point. I even got 2 bulgogi kimbaps to go. Place is a bit small and filled up by 7:30PM on Sunday. Small family business. It's 5-stars not because it's a fine dining restaurant. This place is so small only has 6-8 ish 2 people tables, perhaps barely enough to fit in a big family. However, customers are greeted warmly and being treated like "friends and family". It's 5-stars not because the food is particularly exquisite. However, it's the homemade style food that I would return for daily. They offer a free can of soda when you "check in" on yelp! I do wish they could somehow refresh part of their menu or offer some daily special, so that people can try something different once a while. Keep up the great quality of food! read more

Great service! Fantastic food. Spicy and flavorful. The spicy chicken dupbap was a wonderful mix of chicken rice and veggies all in a spicy sauce. My wife got the chefs special Jap chae. I've had this place on my list for a while for it's fair prices and interesting menu. I tried to come once on a Monday and the place was closed with no note or sign.. that was disappointing, but finally got the chance to come for dinner. The interior is small but honey. We came on a Monday night and there were still tables unrolled. Patrons were respectful and talked at a moderate volume, so I actually enjoyed this tight space - it reminds me of the hole in the walls you often find in Taiwan. My friend and I both ordered the last Bibimbap on the menu, which doesn't actually come in a stone bowl. Regardless, I loved the mushrooms and eggplant (maybe?). I was looking for a local (relatively) korean joint to become a regular. This place mostly gets it! More on the mostly to come. Looking for a place that avoided me trekking into eastern queens/flushing/bayside area for some good Korean food. When I found this in Sunnyside, I knew I had to check it out. The place is small, maybe fits about 12 people max. It's comfortable and cozy though. Prices are really good for korean food! Portion sizes aren't supersized, but they'll fill you up. Me and my better half ordered the Bulgogi (marinated slices of ribeye) Kimbap (rice rolls with veggies). Delicious and also the largest kimbap ive ever had! Also ordered the cheese dukkbokki (rice cakes in spicy pepper sauce) and yookgaejang (shredded beef spicy stew). Everything was delicious, only issue is the waitress switched up my yookgaejang with another party's Bulgogi dupbap (marinated sliced ribeye stir fry and rice). But we accepted the switch and it was a good call! Our neighbors also said the yookgaejang was good as well. One note is that most korean restaurants provide what's called banchan, which is small side dishes to be shared among the entire party. Doma didn't really have that, only serving up pickled cucumbers and a bean sprout spicy soup, which the cook/owner was super sweet about and gave us refills on both! Overall the food was really good, and very well priced. Service was a little crazy but I don't blame them. Definitely a great small spot to get your korean fix. Came here to try some authentic home style Korean cuisine, and it delivered. Place is small and narrow, be prepare to wait outside the shop when it gets crowded. Decided on the set menu combo, thought it looked cheaper than ordering separate from the menu. Miso soup and kimchi radish accompanied the premeal. The waiter got a little frazzled as the place filled up with customers. He basically rushed through my order with me and forgot my free soda from Yelp checkin. Kimbap tasted really good, with the Beef Bulgogi in the center and warm filling around it. The Cheese Dukboki (rice cake with ramen noodles and eggs), was sour and spicy at the same time. My sister had to ask for more iced water since its so spicy. Next, and last dish was the Pork cutlet Kutzu which was deep fried to perfection, goes so well with white rice. At the end of the meal, Ajumma from the kitchen came out to greet us and asked how was the food. The only complaint isn't about the food. We usually have an ok experience eating Korean street food it, but tonight's dinner really got me mad. For some odd reason when I received the White Ramyun I thought out of nowhere the wait staff is cleaning with bleach right then and there. I kept looking at his direction to check if he was cleaning something with bleach, but no he was not cleaning anything. I go back to sniff my noodle soup, and realized, wow my food smells like bleach. It wasn't anyone cleaning the floor right in the tiny restaurant at that very moment with bleach but in fact, it was my soup. So to make sure I wasn't going crazy, I asked my boyfriend to smell my Ramyun, and he said yes it smells like bleach. I then kindly called the waiter quietly to help me bring it back to the kitchen and tell the chef that this bowl of seafood noodle soup smells like bleach and I want to send it back. After two minutes he comes back with the same bowl saying they do not smell the bleach and it's just normal seafood smell. What?! I'm 42 years old, traveled the world, eating at countless restaurants and I don't know how seafood smells like? I know they do not smell like BLEACH. I didn't make a scene I just said I don't want it, and I do not want to order anything else. Because we all know if we piss off any kitchen staff, who knows if they'll spit in it or something. I ordered udon from our usual Japanese delivery from Seamless right away, since I'm still starving. Here's the kicker. When my boyfriend gave him his credit card, he returns with the receipt charging us of that bleach ramyun. That's why I had to say out loud so the people in the tiny place can hear what they just did. The poor kid, he's just working there part-time, it's not him, it's the really bad owners there. They lost some good customers right there. They should rename this dish Bleach Ramyun instead of White Ramyun, that would be more true to this dish. read more

There's not too many options in the neighborhood when it comes to Korean food. The food tastes clean (not too oily or msg'd) and tastes like "mom's cooking" (where the flavor and saltiness is just right) While I can't sy it is the best I have ever had, it certainly does enough to hit the spot. Love this place for kimbap - my two favorites are the bulgogoi and jeyuk. Other things I have tried: -Tang Su Yook - which was good. Almost wished that had served jja jang myun too! -Love the kimchee jigae -bibimbap (I'll add extra sesame oil and fried egg when in get this delivered) -Fried wings with no sauce. Delivery is faster than the usual 50-60 min wait with Pelicana. So if you are super hungry and craving chicken wings, try here. I love the idea of their lunchbox & over rice dishes i.e. bulgogoi dup bap, jeyuk dup bap but there is not enough meat in comparison to the veggies to be worth ordering. Would LOVE to see a Japanese curry as an option on the menu in the near future. read more
