It was a quick easy stop while I was on my way home from the Winter Garden area this weekend. They specialize in fresh baked Tigelle sandwiches which is an Italian flatbread. As someone who is watching my carb intake, I really like this thin, light bread. So far, I've tried the Bella Vita and the Picante (spicy) sandwiches. Both are amazing! They use super fresh Italian ingredients like soppressata, mozzarella, mortadella, prosciutto di parma, burrata, and pesto. The to-go packaging for their sandwiches is also on point. They have the cutest little yellow boxes and it's like unboxing a present. One of my absolute favorite things on the menu is their pistachio tiramisu dessert. It's probably one of the best desserts I've ever! I would drive here just for this alone. A MUST! The staff are all super friendly and happy to offer suggestions. Their food is always fresh with the most beautiful looking tomatoes. They are so bright and so red! Jersey Mikes is known as a fast casual/ quick service / fast food place. Most people, myself included, get their subs to go. They do offer a few tables inside as well as outside. We always take it home. Their food options include cold deli style sub sandwiches in 3 different sizes, a wrap and even a bowl (no bread). They do not have the ability to toast or warm your sandwich. If you prefer a toasted sub, you could order one of their hot sandwiches. For cold subs, some of their options include turkey, ham, prosciutto and capicola, roast beef, BLT and tuna. When they make your sub, they will slice the deli meat fresh. This is different from most other sub places which usually has them portioned and ready to go. I really think this is what makes their subs so great. It really adds to their freshness. If you want a hot sandwich, they really just have Philly's including chicken Philly and steak Philly. Besides their super fresh tomatoes, their bacon is also on another level. It is so good, so crispy, we will add it always to any sandwich. It is that good! For me I personally always go for the larges sub, the giant. This is a huge sub, I can finish it if I am super hungry, or I can eat half and take the rest to work the next day (I usually just eat the entire thing). My wife always chooses the medium size, which is regular. This is your typical sized sub, most people are used to. My wife and I always go for different sandwiches and toppings, but we could easily share the giant if we could come to a consensus of the type. My go to is turkey provolone and then Mikes way. This is lettuce, tomato, onion, the "juice" (oil and vinegar) and the oregano seasoning. Dont forget to add bacon. I also like their Philly steak or chicken. My wife has two she likes to rotate, either the Chicken Bacon Ranch which is a chicken Philly with ranch, bacon and toppings of your choice or the classic BLT. Overall this is a great sub place. The food is fresh, the sandwiches are good, its a great place to go if you want a great sandwich! They also do catering which would be perfect for parties or work events. ACES!
