Excellent "Mexican Eats". A larger Mexican Restaurant that has that aroma of "South of the Border" when I walked in. It is clean and very comfortable. Great service. Came in for supper right at supper time and didn't have to wait for a table at all. We were seated at a nice booth by the window, which was nice for keeping our baby entertained! Our server was superb. I didn't catch his name, but he had blonde-ish hair and a purple polo (if this is you, you are wonderful!). He was sweet to our baby, quick to bring us refills, and just went the extra mile in his comments and small talk. Very genuine, warm, and personable. Our meals were really big portion sizes, which was great because we were pretty hungry. And the chips and salsa here were fantastic! The chips weren't oily like at some places, and the salsa had great flavor. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat! read more

Ordered chicken cheese and rice instead I got a huge piece of chicken with beans and barely a scoop of rice. The chicken was so wet ??? that the entire dish was disgusting and soggy with chicken juice. I specified I wanted just chicken, cheese, and rice only. Not what I ordered at all. My boyfriend got the pineapple acp and only one tiny area of the rice had cheese. I've never had an order messed up when I eat inside the restaurant only have my togo's turn out absolutely disgusting. The few times I've been here, they always get a little something wrong. This time I ordered the steak a la Mexicana, which is T-bone, but they brought me Carne Asada. When I told the waitress, she just said there's no manager there, but asked the cooks, and they said they were out of t-bone and there was nothing she could do. My girlfriends order was wrong, too. Got charged for everything. Got stuck with what I didn't order. If I had known they didn't have what I wanted then I would have ordered something else. This is my last time here. read more

We are from out of town and we were looking for a great Mexican restaurant on New Years Day. We stumbled upon this place and decided to try it. I ordered the lunch special with one taco and one enchilada. The taco does not specify that it's a hard shell which I was disappointed because I wanted soft. The shell is just a generic hard shell, nothing spectacular. The enchilada was actually pretty good. Rice and beans were good as well. I also had a frozen Mango Margarita. It had good flavor but was too watered down. You do get a good size portion for the cost! (25 oz.) overall pretty decent meal! read more

Surprisingly good Mexican food! For years I've gone to my main stand-bys in the area, and some of them serve solidly tasty food that's priced right. Then I read a review of 7 Hermanos in the Johnson City Press, decided to try it, and absolutely wasn't disappointed. The interior is a bit tacky, but the servers were really friendly, and the food was generally very nice. I look forward to going here more often. read more

Ok so started with chips and salsa as usual but amazing how much better with all the salsa choices then for the meal decided on the half pineapple with steak chicken and vegetables in it and omg amazing can't begin to describe how good it is I've been to Mexico and I can say this is close to authentic without going to Mexico you will find in Johnson city highly recommend this little place over any other Mexican restaurant in town definitely will be a return customer read more

Had lunch on a weekday - not too busy. Quick cordial service. Clean tables and seats, pleasant atmosphere. Nicely decorated, pleasant Latino style music. Salsa is very good, slight delayed kick with plenty of cilantro and nice onion chunks. Chips were fresh and not too thick. Had #1 lunch. I take the coating off the pepper to save some carbs - pepper was cheese-stuffed and cooked just right - very good. Beef taco had an unusual taste for the beef.- not one of my favorites. Guacamole salad was simple with nice helping of guac, which was good. Beans were a nice consistency - nothing outstanding about them. But good. We've been ordering take out here regularly for the last couple years. The last time we ordered, the person taking the order on the phone seemed confused and told us the dish we wanted wasn't on the menu. This the same order we've put in multiple times before. So just to make sure there was no confusion we called back on the way to pick our order. At that point we were blamed for placing the wrong order and were spoken incredibly rudely to on the phone. In fact, the person on the other end held the phone away from her face and actively talked rudely about us to the other staff. We could still hear what she was saying. Also when my wife went in to get the order she was also treated incredibly rudely by the folks at the front. Including being spoken about as she was standing at the register to pay. Being treated that way, we will never be back. Which is a shame because this was one of our favorite places. But treating customers like that is not okay. Especially when the confusion stemmed from the person taking orders on the phone being confused about what dishes were on the menu. read more

This is my first ever review. Pre covid-19 this was a great restaurant. We(as a family) eat Mexican at least once a week. And have are here many times and it was great. But the past two times it was bad. This time worse then ever. Most waiters were not wearing masks, bathrooms were gross, food was gross, and they added extra orders to our ticket. This place is definitely over packed. There's people standing up all over the place and college students staying as long as possible. So The waiting time takes forever. I also don't see them cutting these college students off on alcohol. They just keep bringing them out. The foods good but the employees aren't all wearing masks. We visited this restaurant due to being near it's location after visiting a nearby phone store and having to wait there for a phone we wanted to purchase to arrive from the Bristol store.
