The food was excellent and ambiance was okay. The service was a bit lackluster, but not terrible. My wife and I sat in a booth where my seat was about six to eight inches too far from the table, which caused me to have to sit on the edge of the seat to reach the table comfortably. A minor infraction, but also quite annoying--and the seat couldn't be adjusted. Because of these inconveniences, I'm giving this experience four stars. Make no mistake, though, I recommend Don Lucho wholeheartedly!

Seeing the reviews I thought would be a better experience turns out I was wrong got cold tacos put everything on the tacos excessively and server couldn't care less stay away if your looking for quality.

We decided to eat at Perfect Pollo Peruvian & Tex-Mex when we were going to Shenandoah. For most people at our party, it was our first time eating Peruvian Chicken, so we didn't know what to expect. Ambiance: The restaurant reminds me of a Filipino eatery with a food bar for food selection. Since we were dining in, we didn't order from the food bar. We ordered from the menu instead. A billiards table and game night machines are on the right side of the entrance. There are posters for some live viewing of certain sports events. Price: We were surprised at how inexpensive their food was, and their servings are also huge. Food: I ordered half-size dak meat Peruvian Chicken with yellow rice and fried plantains. The half-size dark meat is 2-leg quarters. They were flavorful. The highlight of our meal was the sauces. I don't know what they were called, but I enjoyed mixing them up and dipping my Chicken. The fried plantains were one of my favorites as well. Service: The staff was very welcoming and open to suggestions. We got a chance to talk to the owner, who explained what to expect when eating a Peruvian chicken. Perfect Pollo has multiple locations. We will definitely be back when we are back on the road and in the area.

Thank you my Peruvian brothers & sisters. Y'all do pollo right. Crispy outside and juicy inside. Fresh vegetables as you can see from the photo. Ya gotta mix that jalapeño sauce into those spuds folks. My first time here and I will be back! For those of us who have served our great country, it is much appreciated how you display your American patriotism & Peruvian traditions. They do go together and we are all better off with you here & glad to have you. Thank you.

Absolutely! We proudly serve what many of our customers consider the best Peruvian Rotisserie Charcoal Chicken in Virginia. Our chicken is marinated with authentic Peruvian flavors and slow-roasted over natural charcoal for that signature smoky…

Stopped here on a road trip headed down I-95, convenient location just off the highway. Food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. Menu has a great variety but isn't overwhelming. Excellent wine list and selection of beers, and mixed drinks, as well as appetizers and deserts. We had cheese steak egg rolls with fries. The specials were what we ordered for dinner: Lobster Ravioli- great portion of lobster meat with a creamy sweet pink sauce; and the AHI tuna special with a really nice red sauce with diced green peppers, thinly sliced onions, and chopped olives, with a side of spaghetti and marinara sauce. It was more food than we could finish so we took away leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Was sad to pass on the desert menu- lots of great options to choose from. Our server, Fawn was very polite, super attentive, and very cheerful. We came on a Friday night after the dinner rush and had a very quiet and relaxing dinner. Highly recommend for a far better than average casual dining experience.

Several times, Joshua has waited our table and his service is so commendable that we have personally requested him when we've returned. However, our experience at the bar tonight was actually what spawned this review. Honestly, I should have left a 5-star review ages ago. But this bar experience lit a fire under me to take the time to type something up. First off, Charred's posted closing time is 10PM. My wife and I got there around 9:35 and we felt guilty for doing so. The bartender (Emily) took our drink and food orders and never said a thing like what you hear at a lot of places when you show up late, like "our kitchen is closed" or "last call is in 10 minutes". No, she made us feel like we had arrived with impeccable timing. I even asked if we were putting her out at all and she assured us we could stay as long as we wanted. Our food arrived and was wonderful, as always. A little after 10PM, another bartender (Lauren) asked us if we wanted another drink. It was already after close and we were the next to last customers in the place. She assured me that it was fine to stay as long as we needed to, so I went ahead and ordered another beer. By this time, we were the only customers left in the entire restaurant. There were still plenty of kitchen workers and wait staff working diligently to prepare for close, but not one person seemed like they were in any hurry for us to leave. Here's the best part: although my final beer order was the last sale of the day, both bartenders (Emily and Lauren) worked together to ensure that my beer was poured perfectly. I'm not kidding, Lauren initially poured the beer and then Emily came over and assisted her with ensuring that the pour was correct. No one likes an inch of head on a draft beer. These ladies got it 100% right, and I complimented them on it. While we were the LAST customers in the place, they treated us like we were the most important customers of the day! Folks, you cannot put a price tag on that. Employees like this are hard to find and even harder to keep. Charred has won our patronage for years to come. This is a restaurant/bar that knows how to hire and train employees who will deliver a magnificent experience. Well done!

Ordered drinks, apps, apps came out quickly and were good (fried oysters and cheese curds). But our problems began when our waitress Lisa brought the drinks from the bar. My husband ordered the inkjet blackberry mint cider and was brought a beer, suspect it was probably DB, which he likes both but a cider is certainly not a beer. When he confronted our waitress and brought the discrepancy to her attention, she was argumentative and invited my husband to go down to the bar with her to sort it out. He took her up on her offer and did return to the table with cider not with what she had initially served him. Mistakes happen but piss poor attitude makes it an issue. Dinner was not great for any of us (steak frites x3, fried catfish, rockfish, and shrimp and grits). Fried okra, fried catfish, and the shrimp (fried and not fried) were the edible items. Food was unseasoned overall and needed hot sauce which we requested and received. We let the manager know of our issues when she came by our table, not looking for hand outs or comps but for majority of us having been in the service industry at one time, and one currently in the service industry, let her know the disappointment in the dinner but mostly with our waitress. Checks brought and our friend (the one in the service industry) was told when her check was delivered that the comped her husband's meal. The steak frites that were completely inedible with added shrimp. She looked at the bill and they ended up discounting the shrimp. Unexpected but a bit misleading considering it was the entree he didn't eat. We enjoyed our show after dinner. But we will never return to the restaurant, bad food and worse service.

The lady that took my order was soooo sweet and of course knowledgeable of the menu. I didn't feel rushed, just relaxed.
