Here traveling from Georgia. While staying at a hotel near by I was told this place was good. When we walked into the Restaurant we past the bus boy and I said hello he looked at me and did not even reply with hello. At this point I should have left. We decided to get a seat and sat down. They were not busy and the waitress took forever to come to our table. We ordered food. The food came out and they did not bring silverware. We finally asked and got it. We started to eat and the food was only warm not hot. We kept trying to ask for hot sauce and it took two times to ask. We asked the busboy he never got it. Finally the waitress got it. They never came back to give us refills on our drinks. We are good tippers but we reduced our tip for the worst service ever. I don't recommend this place at all. I've come here numerous times over the years but today was by far the worst service I've ever received. We were sat at a table right away but hadn't even been asked our drink order after 15 minutes of waiting. When we called on a waitress she insisted that the other waiter was our server. We then called on him and he said he would be right back. Again we waited 10 minutes and he waited on another table while the other waitress made drinks. So we left. Came with Chorizo and eggs, beans potatoes and rice. Hot Cake special came with two pancakes, 2 bacon and 2 eggs. The pancakes were tasty. Just over all it was kind of pricey. The guac was okay. Looked like it had been sitting a while. Was a bit brown. They do allow indoor sitting during COVID , plexi glass between booths. Not sure if social distance is really enforced. read more

Fyi, I'm not a pro. I'm just a normal dude who loves to eat. I started yelping so I could help others find delicious places to eat. This place is impressive. I don't even know where to start. How about I start off with the fact that I RARELY give a restaurant a 5/5 star rating. I am currently sitting at a booth during lunch. I asked for pupusas de frijol y queso to start off with. This isn't even a salvadorean spot! The pupusas were amazing!!! So hot and fresh, and the taste of the melted cheese was amazing. There were parts of burnt cheese that crusted around some spots on the edges of the pupusas and it was delicious! They didn't use too much flour. I've had pupusas at other places, salvadorean places, and their proportion of filling to flour is always off. If I wanted pure flour, I'd get a tortilla. The burritos are stuffed!! I got the burrito ranchero and my girlfriend got the chicken fajita burrito. Both plates come with rice and beans. Both burritos are filled with rice, beans, onions, bell peppers, and choice of meat. A lot of meat. A side of sour cream and guacamole is also included! Best part...... Only $9.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't get that as a lunch special in other mexican restaurants. You can't get that as a plate at some mexican fast food places! So, this place completely blows everyone out of the water. You may think, "well, it's cheap so it probably tastes like cardboard." Sir or Madame, you are wrong! The chicken fajita burrito is scrumptious. The chicken is hot and tastes fresh. The chicken with peppers alone is good enough as a dish. The steak in the ranchera burrito tastes like it just came off the grill. Rice tastes like it's NOT from a box. Now, if you've read my other reviews you know I'm not one to really comment on customer service unless I'm quite impressed. Well the two time I've been here in the last few months, I've been impressed by a gentleman who is on his toes and is very attentive. He's friendly and makes you feel very welcome. I've had the pleasure of dealing with him both times, and I hope he continues to serve us when we choose this restaurant. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant. Excellent Mexican food. We had the 3 item combination plate which was $9.95. The beans were exquisite and the rice was very moist. The Chile relleno was really good. The hard taco with shredded beef was really flavorful. The sauce they used to put on top of the enchilada and the Chile relleno was the same with lots of flavors. They bring complementary chips and salsa which are always appreciated. We asked for spicier salsa which they brought free of charge and it had just the right amount of spiciness. Went here with my dad around 5:45 PM and got seated at a table right away. Received our drinks and chips and salsa pretty quick and ordered our meal. We had just finished our chips and salsa when our order came. I added some salsa to my food and my dad added it to his but ran out. He asked for more salsa and she said, we charge $1.50 for extra salsa. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that charges for salsa and my dad and I have been here quite a few times and never been charged. In fact, I've been to a few Mexican restaurants that brought out more free chips and salsa until our food arrived. We will no longer to going to this restaurant. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go to. The service is really friendly although sometimes it can be slow when the place is filled, but the wait time for the food here makes it worth it. I always order the chile verde chimichanga here, my favorite dish. The wrapping is very crisp and the meat just falls apart easily when I cut off a piece. The fare is the standard menu items and tasty. The place was a little dated, but kind of cool in a retro way. There was not an overload of decorations. The chips and salsa were really good. So let me start by saying we have eaten here multiple times because it's a family member's favorite Mexican place to eat. But this time, we walked through the door and the two older women waitresses immediately spoke to each other in Spanish. They didn't think I could understand them because I LOOK white, but I am half Mexican and can understand the spoken tongue. As we walked in they greeted us with fake smiles and then started asking each other who was going to take our table, because neither of them wanted us. They were not doing this in the back of the kitchen but in the FRONT of the restaurant, all while one waitress sat down to do her "side work" but never got up once to seat us or take our order. I just honestly can't believe that they thought that because my family and I look white that I couldn't understand their language and thought it was okay to talk badly about us RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR FACES. Will be eating at every other Mexican restaurant in town BUT THIS ONE. By the way, La Costa was great! So glad we went there instead. read more

The rice tasted like it was a day or two old and was heated in the microwave, and the beans tasted like they came from a can. The shredded beef inside the flautas were basically fat cause it was all chewy. Worst "Authentic Mexican" food I've ever had. I asked for water to start us all for our drinks, and our server only brought water for my wife and I. Not our son. I asked if he can bring water for my son also, and he did after, but the fact that my son wasn't considered was strange and unusual. The food wasn't very great. I'd give it 5/10. Starving after the gym. Wanted something light. My friend suggested this place. Not so much light, but I was so hungry! Restaurant was about half full. We were seated after a few minutes. Woman behind the bar took our drink orders. We were served chips and salsa. Chips were store bought and nothing special. My friend ordered guacamole and flour chips. Those were good. Waited and waited for someone to take our order. After around 20 minutes, we asked for help. A server from another section took our orders. He said he was helping our server because she was so busy. Food arrived shortly after. We both ordered fajitas. I got beef and my friend got the beef, chicken and shrimp combo. Tasty. Beef had good flavor. Veggies were fresh. Neither of us could eat a whole order. We should have shared. Our table was cleared and we sat and chatted. Took around 30 minutes to get our check. We had to ask for it. Service was not great. Restaurant wasn't very busy. Had to ask for drink refills. Took awhile to get a new straw for my drink, it was broken. I really liked the chicken but I wasn't fan of the shrimp or the steak. The chicken was well seasoned and the steak wasn't. I also wasn't a fan of the tail being on the shrimp.
