The room was so hot, we had to get our food to go and take it home to eat. I was sincerely concerned my wife was going to pass out. 3rd time - we ordered from door dash. Simple order - two items. Guacamole and shrimp nachos with the cheese sauce on the side. We got the order - no cheese sauce. I called back and no one to deliver the cheese sauce. So I had to go pick it up. There were only a few tables so service should have been fast. However, 15 minutes went by without someone coming by for drink orders. Once we got them, we still waited another 10-15 minutes before they brought them out. My sister ordered a small pina colada and they brought out a jumbo pina colada flavored margarita. They never refilled drinks unless flagged down and asked. They got my order wrong and then told me that the food they made was the same thing but with onions so they told me I could just keep it but did bring out some extra queso and rice for the meal. First time customer and probably the last. Restaurant is beautiful! It was obvious there was not enough servers. There was no hostess and when we did get seated we waited awhile to get service. Our drinks finally came but then we waited awhile yo get straws. The chips were awful... I mean a Mexican restaurant better have good chips. My entree was okay but it took forever to get it and then the people at my table were almost done by the time I got my food. So disappointed. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside & outside. I couldn't wait to eat some really true great Mexican cuisine. The food was unbelievably bland. I mean absolutely no taste no flavors at all.. We spent $40 just on the Fajita trios. We asked for compensation and they only gave us $8 back. Basically equaling to the waiters tip money. Don't go to this restaurant if you're looking for good tasting food to eat. Or you're ready to choke down cardboard. None of our food was eaten but maybe a few bites. My friends and I always review restaurants when we go and here was our ratings. The price is a 3/10. For the meals themselves they are decently priced, but for the quality that you were getting for the price, I do not think it is worth it. Our queso was cold and the chips were store bought which is so tragic. The water wasn't very great. You can definitely drink it, it just isn't the best tap water haha. We recently went to Don Rigo's for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service. We went at lunch and I had the lunch fajitas with steak and I was impressed both with the flavor and quantity of the dish. My wife had the Don Rigo bowl and really enjoyed it, she said there was steak in every bite. We also liked the ambiance of the restaurant, Mexican decor without being over the top. Very average, chips are thick and I would say store bought. Guacamole had everything but guacamole. It had an overwhelming amount of onions and salt, had green peppers which I've never had that before. I had the Vegetable Fajita and our guests had Arroz con Polo. Beautiful restaurant, so many possibilities to be great. But with any business, customer service should be a priority. With that being said, the food was ok slightly above average, nothing to rave about. The customer service was horrible, we were seated quickly (party of 6, we were waiting on a couple to still arrive) 5 or so other tables were occupied with plenty of staff running around. 5 minutes after we were seated this gentleman brought our chips and salsa, very good chips and salsa, and left no drink order, no water just chips and salsa. about 10 minutes after that our waiter arrived with sweat running down his forehead, maybe he was busy unloading a truck or something surely not waiting tables. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, The waiter was polite although said nothing about the wait. At this point I requested another basket of chips and 2 things of salsa, chips and salsa for the incoming couple and another salsa for me, it was good. Because of the wait I had given the new couple the rest of my chips and collected enough salsa from everybody else to give them 1 bowl of salsa for the 2 of them. Now the table is out of chips and salsa when the waiter arrives with drinks 1 bottle of salsa and 1 basket of chips for the table of 6 and we are now 20-25 minutes at the table, getting our first drinks. Important, beer was cold a huge plus in my book. We ordered and actually came out pretty quick, the waiters brow has now dried up but, still did not check on us, we had to flag him down, did nothing in the way of customer service, napkins, straws for water (not the beer, what are you thinking), no more salsa, chips and no bill. after waiting about 15 minutes I finally walked up to the cashier, at that point the waiter walked up with my bill and rang me up. Poor effort, little to no effort whatever you want to call it, I don't believe wait staff should ever be stiffed but I do believe the should be tipped according to their level of service. My wife and I have been searching for a new 'go to' Mexican restaurant since El Camino closed in Noblesville. We were promptly seated at Don Rigo and food was served quickly. Unfortunately, our food was very salty and I needed a refill for my water. After waiting for a while, I decided to go to the bar and do it myself. Finished that glass of water and needed another refill. Still no server. Went to the bar again. The server appeared after an absence of around 15 minutes. I jokingly told him that I thought he quit. He responded that he was in the bathroom. For 15 minutes. Gross! Go to the bathroom; just don't tell the diners. Seems like terrible service and salty food are a good reason for a 1-star review. I always judge Mexican restaurants based on my abuela's cooking...and this place was very comparable! So so so good. I was even impressed by the amount of queso dip they gave, they don't hold back! I had the street tacos and beans/rice, I don't know for sure, but I felt like the corn tortillas were homemade. I HIGHLY recommend this place! Also, the service and esthetic were both phenomenal!
