Cool-retro roof top bar offering a big selection of beautiful IG worthy drinks. Prices are great and they have seating both inside and outside with some great views of DT Phoenix. Loved the friendly staff, delicious drinks and yummy food. The bar is very nice and I loved the aesthetic. A super chill place to hang out for happy hour or date night.

Great atmosphere! Great drinks! Okay bar bites. Nothing special in terms of food, but this is a great spot to come hang out before going out!

Came up for a drink and small appetizer. We were greeted immediately by Louis. He started one of the gas fireplaces for us since it was a little chilly. The Brie appetizer was really good and came out quick. The views are beautiful from this top floor bar.

Came here recently for happy hour with a few friends. I recall seeing it's opening on TV in the last few years. Don Woods was in fact a real person, a Phoenix real estate guru in the 1950s whose office was nearby.... and enjoyed a good cocktail. The space is even neater in person albeit a little smaller than I expected. You can sit inside or outside. For a short (three-story) rooftop, you get some nice views, especially of Camelback to the east. It's definitely got chill/laid back vibes from the decor, music, and views. Our server was nice, she gave us recommendations based on our own drink preferences. Round one for me was the Escapade which was basically a vodka cranberry, but elevated. Liked it but wanted something else for round 2. I ended up going with the Julius R Harvey (an alcoholic orange julius), that had more ice than I liked. Tasty though! Because of the relatively small space, it's more of a cocktails/light bites menu for before/after dinner. We didn't end up getting anything to eat - that will have to come on my next visit. Service was hit or miss I think due to not giving the staff assigned sections. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Say When is an absolute delight to have in Phoenix. It's a nice escape from Downtown without having to drive all the way to Scottsdale. I like coming here after dinner just to hangout with friends and grab drinks. The ambiance is laidback but refined. Don't mistake a laid back vibe for poor service. The servers here really know their stuff and will make sure you're taken care of properly. Avoid coming here if you're hungry, it's food menu is extremely limited and will make a dent in your bank account. Just come here for drinks and great views of the Phoenix skyline in the background.

Cool little rooftop bar. Inside seating & outside seating. Service was just fine - you get a free drink until 6pm for the social hour if you're staying at the hotel. However, if you ask for another drink after that, it's $10. A little pricey for what ya get, but es ok. This would be a nice place for a date night pre-drink, but idk if I'd plan a whole night there.

Loved this place! Host and waitress we had tonight were incredibly kind - sorry didn't catch their names! We were short on time but loved our cocktail and we tried the deviled eggs app which was absolutely delicious! Views here are incredible! We will be back for sure!

Candy orange and the froth is vegan(no egg) which was good for us. My lady is allergic.

Haven't been in awhile and they revamped the menu. Good for them but sadness for those who loved the dreamsicle!(ie: MYWIFE) good news though this is still one of the best rooftop bars in AZ and absolutely the best we have been too! Wifey enjoyed the Un Espresso and I tried the white Negroni which was fire. Great news is despite the redo on the simpler menu it's still amazing and even better news is the staff is one of the friendliest you will find if not the friendliest anywhere. Daniel the manager came out and personally made us feel like we were the guest honor. You gotta come back or try for the first time.

    The Kentucky Buck!

Great views! And a super friend staff who will eager to share the signature cocktails for happy hour! I chose the Kentucky Buck, which was refreshing and a perfect compliment to a perfect evening of sunset views!

I like the fabulous mid-century look of this place, but I love the classy, delicious drinks that prove they've got substance, not just style. Their drinks are photogenic, unique, and just the right amount of complex. I go for the Whiskey Tart for something more classic, the Grand Nacional for something more strange, and the spritzes as a general category. Staff are good at recommending drinks and answering questions about the menu. Last time I was here, some coworkers and I came by after a rough day at work, and the great time we had really turned my week around. It's refreshing to step back in time and have a thoughtful, excellent experience. Whether indoors in the Mad-Men style bar or outdoors on the rooftop, this place is worth a visit.

    baked goat cheese and Alameda

This is a lovely place to grab a drink with friends and enjoy the ambiance + sunset from a rooftop setting! For parking, there is plenty of parking in the lot for the Rise Uptown Hotel, and the bar is located on the third floor of the hotel building. When you walk out to the sidewalk next to the hotel, there are signs that point to an elevator to take up to the third floor. Seating is available indoors and outdoors, and I was able to get seated very easily on Sunday at 5pm. The waitresses were very attentive, and I appreciated the good service. I decided on the baked goat cheese and Alameda. The baked goat cheese came out quickly, and the lentils were very creamy and paired well with cheese + bread -- definitely recommend getting it! The Alameda was refreshing and tasty with predominant flavors of cucumber and pears. Most of all, I loved getting to kick back and watch the colors of the sky change. Overall, I would love to come back to have a glass and bask in the atmosphere again.

Great Views of Camelback! Although, the service was lacking and the drinks were not impressive for the price. Most likely would not return.

Can 20 year olds and up go in there?

Yes, but keep in mind there wait staff is not experienced and wait times and correct drink orders are the main concern … best to go elsewhere if you want good food, service and friendly staff.

But, if you're looking for a really cool bar, KWSC is for you. I stopped by on a week day evening around 8:30 p.m. Located in Roosevelt Row, while there isn't parking, I found free parking on the street a few minutes away on foot. Ambiance (4.5/5): My type of spot. Dimly lit with a speakeasy vibe. There are eight or so seats at the bar, and the rest of your seating options consist of comfortable chairs and sofas. You'll see a lot of photos of people's bums on the walls lol. This is indeed part of the appeal. For free, if you would like, they will take a polaroid of your butt and memorialize you eternally on the walls. While I didn't do that, if that's up your alley, go for it. Service (2/5): This is the main area of improvement. After being seated, I was greeted promptly and got my first cocktail promptly. From there, things fell apart. I had to grab the bartender's attention to order my second drink and to close out. It was a week day and they weren't busy. And there were two bartenders. A lack of attentiveness. When I closed out, I noticed that the cocktails were both $2 more expensive than what was listed on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that the menus were outdated... umm what? If you're not going to re-print your menus, give people a heads-up when they arrive. I understand that most people won't notice, but this is deception. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet. If you're trying to eat here, all they have is snacks. The menu doesn't specify but I'm thinking it's probably chips or somethign like that. Drinks (4/5): A lengthy, and interesting, cocktail list. Similar to a speakeasy, you're going to see creativity and an interesting blend of flavors here. The most popular drink is Fuck Nazis. We're seeing a theme here. KWSC is an interesting spot. For various dollar amounts, you can get funny things outside of the polaroids of your bum. My first cocktail was great. My second one, a tiki drink, not so much. The menu said that there would be some flame action happening. It didn't. Just another example of the service falling short. If the service were better, Killer Whale Sex Club would easily be a five-star experience.

The atmosphere was unique, the bartenders were genuinely engaging, and there was a real sense of community that made every visit memorable. It became my go-to spot to bring friends from out of town and every single person I brought absolutely loved it! Back then, the cocktails felt intentional and creative, not just rushed out for volume. The staff remembered regulars, conversations flowed naturally, and the whole place had this warm, eclectic energy that made you want to stay for hours. Even on busy nights, it somehow still felt personal. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, the vibe has changed quite a bit. The drinks just aren't as consistently good as they used to be, especially considering the prices now. Service feels far more transactional and impersonal, and the atmosphere that once made this place stand out has faded into something much more generic. It feels less like a neighborhood gem and more like a stop on a nightlife circuit.

Carry On actually called me to confirm our "tickets," which I thought was really cute. The whole experience kind of started a couple of days before our actual "departure time." They also reminded us to park in the Renaissance Square parking garage under Wren & Wolf, and they were able to validate our parking for three hours. We had to go to Wren & Wolf first to pick up our Carry On tickets. We got there early, and they let us relax in their couch area while we waited for our departure time. The walk from the Renaissance Square parking garage to Wren & Wolf was easy. You just follow the signs, and the whole walk is inside the building, which was perfect because it was so hot outside. While we were waiting, we could order drinks and chill, just like being in an airport lounge. When it was time for departure, we walked outside the building, and Carry On was right around the corner. You won't miss it because you'll see the Carry On Air flight schedule above the gate door. Right on time, we were greeted by a friendly flight attendant. Once we walked into the cabin, it really felt like we were inside a first-class flight lounge. Our flight attendant served us drinks right after we sat down, and we also ordered more cocktails and snacks from their menu. The captain spoke to us over the speaker, just like on a real flight. As we took off, we could even feel the seats moving. Looking out the "window," we saw buildings, clouds surrounding us, and even experienced turbulence I'm not going to tell you too much because I don't want to ruin the experience. I'll let you try it for yourself. I think it's definitely worth giving it a try. At least for us, we loved it.

The back patio often turns into a dance floor when there's a DJ or music playing. Inside, the space leans heavily into the retro theme. There are a few arcade games, a retro-style phone booth, and a living room area that looks like something straight out of the 70s, which adds to the nostalgic atmosphere. Ordering drinks can be a bit hit or miss. The bar inside can get a long line, and there isn't waitstaff walking around taking drink orders. There is a small window connected to the bar where you can place drink orders, almost like an ordering window, which sometimes works better than waiting at the main bar. Parking can also be a bit of a challenge. There is parking in front of the establishment and in the same shopping center, and you can also park across the street.
