Overall, this was a really good experience. The pizzas were done quickly and tasted great. I loved the addition of extra sauce on the side to dip the crust. The pistachio pizza was incredible and I'd absolutely order it again. The pepperoni though just wasn't quite what I expected. The pepperoni pieces tasted surprisingly gamey and overpowered the rest of the pizza. The crust was also a touch soft, but I got them to go and I suspect that may be because the steam of the box. almost nailed it. Service was really good Dough was really good Sauce was really good Toppings needed to be refined... but for their first month, really good job. I got the prosciutto pizza and really wanted some crispy prosciutto action, even adding the prosciutto in the last minute would have rendered some fat into the pie. Brush the crust with garlic butter too please at the end. And dress the arugula with olive oil and salt n pepper And mb lemon juice to cut through all the richness. My husband and I just picked up the Pistachio pesto pizza and the salcicia pizza. We loved both and can't wait to order again. We're at the age where we can't eat the traditional American style pizza even though we love it but it's too greasy and the crust is too thick. The Neapolitan style that Donatello's makes is perfect for us and gives us our pizza fix without making us suffer after eating it. But without a doubt they don't skimp on flavor and the crust is perfection. read more

I liked the service and the guys were nice and cordial but the pizza leaves a little be to be desired imo. They go for a more authentic, traditional pizza that's cooked in under 90 seconds so if you like a more done pizza with some crisp to it then this probably won't be your cup of tea. It's lightly cooked and most of the crust is very floppy and hard to even eat. They said that's the authentic way though so evidently ppl. do like it that way, it's just not for me personally. read more

Can't tell you how the pizza tasted. It is obvious these people don't know how to run a restaurant or how to do customer service. Not enough help. UPDATE went back last evening @5pm. Called first they were open. There were two people waiting and us 2 plus 3 more came in. No one greeted us. There were two men making pizza and two young girls standing where you order. No one offered us a menu or a drink. We were just told when we came up to order that there were 9pizzas ahead of us and it would be at least 50 minute wait. With no appetizers or drinks to order just sit in their sparse space and wait. No music nothing. So we all left. Third times the charm. WE WON'T BE BACK. Went here last Thursday evening and they were closed. Sign Said they had no dough. Went back on Saturday night @ 5:15 and there was a sign on the door "sold out come back tomorrow". It was only 5:15. Went inside and they just kept saying sorry. The sign was not just handwritten but printed up so they must have known this would happen. The least they could have done was hand a coupon for next time. We said you make it hard to want to return. This is a new business trying to get started and they keep turning away customers. Better to have too much dough and customers than none at all. read more

Went today for the first time with friends. It's so good!!! I don't remember the name of it but it was a pistachio pesto pizza. SO good! It's nice to have new options in Redding for pizza. They import their flour from Italy so it's super good for those with gluten problems. Anytime I've been out of the country, I have no gluten issues because it's pure with no fillers. They import other items from Italy as well. Some sodas and drinks are in glass bottles and made with sugar cane or honey. Super good! It's family owned and they're all welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend! Look forward to going back again read more

If you want an authentic Italian Neapolitan pizza you need to come here. The pizza was phenomenal! Their pizza sauce is tangy and robust. The attention to ingredients and how they source them really elevates the pizza. They were also very helpful explaining to us how they make their dough and answered all of our questions about their pizza and the process of making their sauce. For the area of Redding this is a real gem. read more
