This was my first time ever dining at Olive Garden, and while the food is nothing special, it sure hit the spot after a long, arduous hike and no lunch! We came in around dinnertime and had made a reservation beforehand so was seated without a wait. Our server was very sweet and took the time to explain the new breadstick, salad, or soup add-on (basically you have to pay separately for it but once ordered, it's unlimited) and brought out our food super quick. I got the chicken shrimp carbonara, which was creamy and had big portions. The chicken was a little bland but with some pepper added, blended in well with the pasta. I really liked the soup and was glad we could have as much of it as we wanted. Definitely hit the spot. We arrived here around 5:50 tonight to meet up with some friends. We were finally seated at Around 6:30. Our party was pretty much immediately greeted by a waiter named Jared. I have never left this high of a review before. I can't say enough about this gentleman. He is very alert and very professional in his manner and service. He was prompt and already know what we needed before we had it. The professionalism and kindness he presented to us has dumbfounded me to were it is hard to describe in detail but to say 5 stars wouldn't be enough for this gentleman. There are a couple of things I want to mention when it comes to visiting Olive Garden, Each time my wife and I walk in the door, I can't begin to tell you the warm & fuzzy feeling we get when we are greeted by either 1 or 2 people at the front greeters counter. It's so nice to have you acknowledged by someone who immediately sees you walk into the restaurant. Next, is gonna be the cleanliness of this establishment as well. I see people continue to clean tables and maybe the floor is a bit dirty where patrons just sat and they had children and made a mess but, that is understandable, they are children. The next thing I want to address is the service and the staff. They are not only friendly but they are also accomodating in any manner of items of food that you need or that you could suggest with making any alterations to your order. Tonight my wife and I ordered a salad and we wanted extra olives and more dressing, and not only did we get that but it was abundantly obvious there were extra olives and more dressing in the salad. The staff are very helpful and if you have questions about the menu or an item that you wanted to order, they will sit with you and explain it so that you can easily understand. So Thankful for this Olive Garden and how well they serve you. I felt served and appreciated as a customer. I usually really love their food despite numerous occurrences of getting moldy/unwashed grapes for my side of fruit in my To-Go orders. Tonight they didn't wash their broccoli properly. Found this little worm in its web on my broccoli. I understand stuff like this happens but it'd be nice to know the food I'm eating was prepared and handled with care. On 11/11/25, I went to Olive Garden because they were honoring veterans with a free meal. Like I do every year I ordered more than just that because I want to give back to business that go out of their way to be a blessing to their community--particularly ex-military. Kimberly (tall) was my waitress. I absolutely loved that she pulled up a chair to take my order. I later learned that she had injured herself, that's why she used a chair, however I thought it was an especially unique way to wait on a customer. Kimberly was very friendly, very personable, and very professional. She checked on me often & made sure the dining experience was enjoyable. The food came out very quickly, which was surprising since there were a lot of people there. It tasted great (as always), and (as always) left me very full with some to take home too. I love going to Olive Garden throughout the year and I especially love that our community has restaurants like this one that honor our former military. It's one of the many reasons I enjoy living where I do. The food was excellent, the service was beyond wonderful, and I'm very glad to have spent this Veterans Day with the fine people at Olive Garden. I have really enjoyed Olive Garden for years now. I have been to the Redding Olive Garden a few times and my experience has been good. The food quality is outstanding and the taste of the food is just the same! I will say, I have at times been disappointed with the lack of amount of breadsticks delivered to our table. It seems as though, they give you one extra breadstick per amount of people you have at the table. This always puts me and my family in a position of waiting on a breadstick refill. The last time I was there I ordered the Chicken Gnocchi Soup and as the lady server delivered the dish to my table, she said "oh by the way, we are out of Gnocchi so this is just the soup". This frustrated me as she said the would make more but already giving me just the soup portion. read more

I honestly wish I could leave 10 stars for the Redding Olive Garden after tonight. I was supposed to go out for a little Galentines night with some work friends and I was the only one to show up. I waited over 30 minutes for anybody else to come before being seated alone and upset. The manager, hostess, and my server (Nick) were all so wonderfully nice to me when I was so upset. I got a nice table next to a window and got to people watch everyone else in the restaurant to calm myself down. The manager then approached me and said how horrible she felt I was alone, so dessert was on the house. I got my usual chicken parm and it was amazing (as always), and Nick introduced me to a lovely new drink. I deeply appreciate the staff for taking my night from a 0 to a true 10/10. We came here from Burney Falls with the family of 14 people during our anniversary. We were starving after lunch time and wanted to chill and eat somewhere that could fit our big group and have good AC! It was 105 degrees outside about 2p!! We choice Olive Garden since it was in the area and we wanted good food. It was not too crowded but we did have to wait 15 min for them to set up our table. Plenty of parking. Of course the free bread was good. The salad and Zuppa Toscana soup is always good. My husband and I choice 'Tour of Italy' for our meal. The chicken patty was kind of dry. The plain Alfredo was kind of aldente' and no flavor. Even with Parmesan cheese, it didn't help. I liked the lasagna at least. My kids shrimp Alfredo tasted better. I did want to give a shout out to Amy and the other servers who gave us good service and paid attention to us while we were in the back of the restaurant. They did not forget us.. I'm skeptical about dining at Olive Garden in general because it doesn't matter which state or location that I visit, my meals tend to taste very salty. I don't sprinkle salt on my food. However, my husband finds a reason to eat at an Olive Garden once if we or he's in the area. Walked in and greeted by hostess, waited for a table and called to be seated about fifteen minutes later. We didn't mind waiting due to anticipated peak time during the weekend. Our server was very thorough and provided consistency such as offering dinner specials, made sure we had ample napkins and drink refills, visited us to see how we're doing from time to time, and asked us if we wanted to order desserts. Chicken & Gnocchi tasted fresh; however, the salt in the soup overpowered this dish. I also tasted the salt on the first bite of bread. I loved how the spaghetti noodles were cooked al dente, yummy shrimp and asparagus that added a great crunch to my Shrimp Scampi without the tomatoes. Again, I experienced the same salty taste in the first few bites. Now, my skepticism kicked in. If I ever order food at an Olive Garden in the future, I will kindly request for no salt. read more

Been so long since I've paid a visit to an Olive Garden. The host folks were friendly and on their game, but once I got seated it started going downhill. My server had a stank face on and seemed like she was trying her best to be semi-friendly and it transferred into the service I received. Everything except the water refill needed to be requested (bread sticks and soup). The bread sticks tasted like they were baked in salt, and the entree was completely bland, so to add seasoning, I took a bite of pasta and a bite of the bread stick (when I had them). The ambiance of the place was cool I guess. When I go out, I expect to pay for the service I receive and maybe it's just Redding restaurants or perhaps my server worked a double - but I felt like I was bothering her by having to keep asking for items that I feel they should notice at the tables they are managing. She did have a pretty name though lol. Check this part out..when I asked for to-go boxes, she brought back little boxes, so I had to separate the food into these little boxes and walk out with the bread sticks in my hand.
