    10" cheese pizza
    Mahauganee S.

This location, in the A gates, was directly next to our gate. We arrived to the gate about half an hour early, and decided to order pizza before our flight. We ordered two 10 inch pizzas, one cheese and one specialty pizza. The specialty pizza was the very vegy. (Disclaimer: that's how they feel veggie; don't come for me) My husband thought the pizza did not have enough pizza sauce. My 5.5 year-old thought the cheese pizza was two cheesy. My brand new four-year-old found the cheese pizza to be just fine. I really enjoyed the seasonings on the veggie pizza. I thought I gave a good flavor. This location only serves thin crust and cauliflower crust. We had thin crust on both pizzas. It was more crispy on the veggie pizza, which the adults appreciated. The restaurant has seating, but stayed busy. So, we had to scope out a table while we waited for our pizza. Luckily, a table for four opened up just before our order came up. Overall, this was a good experience.

I have never had a cauliflower crust pizza that was as good as one with a wheat-based crust. Until now. I ordered the Founder's Special on the cauliflower crust, and it was amazing! This is some of the best pizza I've ever had, and it's at an airport of all places! My wife and I had a few drinks at the bar while waiting for our flight, and the bartender was friendly and generous in allowing us to taste things before ordering them. A great experience overall, and if you're flying into or out of Columbus, it's definitely worth a try!

So, the last time I flew out I had overpriced wine at Vino Volo and this time I walked past it. I saw Donato's. With a bar. With cheaper wine. I had 2 glasses of Malbec for $20. I also had one of their pre-packaged salads. Friendly service. They have a full bar.

The corn meal on the bottom is a "secret ingredient" - a little extra flvor and crispness.

It is not all that easy to get excited by airport food, but I'm usually jazzed about a quick lunch on my way out of Columbus. Why? Donatos! Donato's is a regional chain focusing on a delicious thin crust pizza that includes some cornmeal on the bottom, a feature that I loved about Shakey's pizza when that chain was national. I had the meal deal on my most recent visit which included a 7" personal pizza (pepperoni) and a soft drink. Hot, fast, delicious, and at a reasonable price, by airport food standards. If you need something more substantial than a soft drink, there is a full bar available (not as part of the meal deal, though...). Pizza is not everyone's friend. Know that they have a decent cauliflower crusts for those who prefer/need that option.

Pizza was delish! Crispy pepperoni with a nice layer of grated parm all over. The crust was different. At first it tasted kinda dry but then it was a good balance to the toppings kinda like a shortbread cookie is a good kind of dry when it's covered in chocolate. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the ordering process. Maybe it's the time of day (tho noon on a Fri seems like a steady business hour) but the big wall menu and bottled water/soda counter area has a sign telling you to order at the bar instead. Well the bar tender was plenty busy making drinks and that area is really crowded plus she's racking up food orders. Pizza took a bit of time too. So maybe it's not their normal workflow and they were short handed or something. Considering how bad airport food options are, I'd definitely eat here again, regardless!

Okay.. I'm sorry this place was completely disappointing... airport dining can do a lot better. The lady at the counter was so disinterested in my order that I should've known trouble was coming.. I say I was a simple hamburger pizza, she says "we don't have hamburger..."you can do pepperoni"... Fine I did pepperoni.. and LOOK at the pepperoni monster they served me.. overwhelming... And it wouldn't be so bad if the pepperonis were underwhelmingly tasteless... Nice place.. nice atmosphere... But as far as the food and service?.. it's a no for me

Yay! A restaurant bar combo that's open at the airport. I ordered a side caprese salad and a 7" mariachi pizza. Yum yum. My husband got a big dom. So glad they were open I'm not complaining about one thing.

The line was Hella long. They were completely understaffed. You'll miss your flight if you wait on them.

I felt so bad for the ladies working here. The line was so long and everybody was complaining, but they were so understaffed and they didn't have any pizzas on hand. They were really unprepared.

    Nice local craft beer selection

Imagine-it's 7:30PM and there are almost 300 people waiting for a late night flight. Only two restaurants are open, one is a pub and the other is this Donatos. They had a better selection of beer so we came here. The staff was completely overwhelmed (three people working total including making the food). I'm giving them 4 stars because they truly hauled ass and did the best they could to make sure everyone was served quickly and accurately. Since we were all drinking, they ran out of glasses quickly but improvised. The beers ran out quickly with so much demand but there were still some good options on draft. The pizza was as good as always for thin style columbus pizza.

    COMPLETELY BURNT!!

I would get them again. The dill pickle potato salad was okay. But let's get to these sandwiches. Meaty, juicy goodness. The sandwich that I got was a special called the King of the Rodeo. Meatloaf, bacon, white cheddar, BBQ sauce, crispy fried onions and ranch on sourdough. OMG! Put this on your regular menu, Newfangled! My wife got the Joe Brrr, essentially a Turkey Reuben. Completely different from my sandwich but very good. No wonder everyone gives this place 5 stars.

This Sandwich Brought the Heat: My Visit to Newfangled Kitchen…read more Some meals leave you full. Others leave you talking. And then there's the Lucifer's Hammer sandwich from Newfangled Kitchen in Bexley, Ohio--which left me sweating, smiling, and seriously considering a second round. I'd heard whispers about Newfangled Kitchen for a while. It's one of those word-of-mouth places--no gimmicks, no over-the-top Instagram vibes, just damn good sandwiches built with love (and a little madness). So when I finally found myself near Bexley, I knew I had to stop in. The moment you walk in, you get a sense of what this place is all about. The decor is no-frills but full of personality--warm wood tones, clever sandwich names chalked up on the wall, and a retro, diner-meets-neighborhood-joint kind of charm. It's small inside--cozy, really--with a few tables to snag if you're lucky. But if the weather's nice, the real move is to take your order out to one of the picnic tables just outside. There's something about spicy meatloaf and sunshine that just works. Now, about that sandwich. Lucifer's Hammer. Even the name dares you to underestimate it. We're talking a thick slab of meatloaf--juicy, savory, slightly crisp around the edges--stacked with fiery jalapeños, melted pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and smothered in their housemade diablo sauce. All that gets hugged by a soft, toasted bun. One bite in, and it's clear this isn't just a sandwich. It's a full-on assault (in the best way) on your tastebuds. The meatloaf is the real MVP here--comfort food leveled up. It's hearty, flavorful, and holds its own under the weight of the spice. The jalapeños bring the fire, but it's the diablo sauce that steals the show. Creamy, smoky, spicy--it lingers long after the last bite like a good movie scene you replay in your head. But Newfangled doesn't stop at one knockout. They've got a whole lineup of meatloaf-based magic. There's the "Newfangled"--their namesake sandwich, topped with bacon, cheddar, and a tangy barbecue aioli that brings the sweet-and-savory energy. Or the "Phil's Delight," which throws in fried onions and horseradish mayo for a punchier, richer flavor profile. If you want something a little less volcanic than Lucifer's Hammer but still packed with character, "The Fancy Pants" is a solid move--Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and just enough zip to keep things interesting. And don't sleep on the sides. The mac & cheese is creamy and golden--exactly what you want riding shotgun next to your sandwich. The tater tots are crispy and nostalgic in the best way. And yes, they've got hand-cut fries too--salty, satisfying, and perfect for dipping into any sauce you "accidentally" save from your sandwich. Need something sweet to cool things down after Lucifer scorches your tastebuds? Enter the dessert menu. On my visit, there was a rotating selection of housemade brownies and cookies, and they were everything you hope they'd be--gooey, chocolatey, just-right indulgence that ties the meal together like a great movie ending. Newfangled Kitchen knows what it is: a sandwich shop with soul. No frills. No filler. Just really good food done really well. It's the kind of place where you feel like a regular even on your first visit, where the staff greets you with a smile and a knowing nod when you point to the hotter options on the board. If you ever find yourself anywhere near Bexley, do yourself a favor: stop in. Order the Lucifer's Hammer if you dare, but whatever you choose, bring your appetite. Grab a picnic table if the weather's kind, and take your time with it. Because sometimes, it's not just about the destination--or even the sandwich. Sometimes, you've just gotta take the trip.

First time my wife and daughter stopped before our daughter headed overseas for two years in the Peace Corps. Scotty''s is super close and convenient to the airport. Scotty learned of the imminent departure and came with cookies and treats for the long flight! And now this morning it was another airport drop off. It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe. You rarely see a 4.9 rating and even more rarely that high based on so many reviews. But I understand why - like in so many things in life, it is about the people. And the joy they bring to every conversation. That's actually a positive if you're looking for a spot where you can grab food and watch a game at the same time. In general, walking into a restaurant that's full is a good sign, so from the start I had high expectations. We were seated fairly quickly, which was great. However, it did take a while for our waitress to come over and take our order. That part was somewhat understandable, as she appeared to be the only server handling a large number of tables. While that's not her fault, it is a downside from a staffing perspective. Once we finally placed our orders, the food also took a bit longer than expected to come out. When it did arrive, though, it was hot and seemed very fresh. I ordered the loaded tater tots, which came topped with chili and cheese, with sour cream on the side. They were good overall, but I do think the chili could have been better--more meat and a slightly richer, more savory flavor would have gone a long way. We also ordered wings. Aside from a couple that were burnt, the wings were actually quite flavorful and enjoyable. Most of them were cooked well, and the seasoning was solid. The restaurant itself was clean and well maintained, which is always appreciated. The waitress was very kind and polite whenever she did come by, and I think most of the issues we experienced were simply due to how busy the restaurant was at the time. If we were to return during a slower period, I believe the experience would likely be much better overall. Would I recommend going here? Yes--with some caveats. If you're going primarily for the food, I wouldn't necessarily recommend visiting on a busy game night. However, if you're going to watch a game, enjoy the atmosphere, and grab some food at the same time, it's worth giving a try. Hopefully it won't be so busy that things come out rushed or slightly off, like a few items did for us. Overall, the experience was decent. It wasn't amazing, and it wasn't terrible. Aside from a few burnt pieces of chicken, most of the food was flavorful, and the atmosphere made up for some of the shortcomings.
