    Beef Spicy Noodles with Beef

I used to go there when I was little, but as an adult Dong Khanh reminds me of my favorite Asian restaurants during my time in NYC. Everything is delicious but I particularly love the house pho, house special noodle, the cha gio and the beef spicy noodle. We often have the same server and she's very warm and friendly. I've never had a bad meal and I enjoy the cozy neighborhood feel of this place.

It's officially soup session! Today is quite gloomy so pho is on today's menu. Coming in today I was pretty set on having pho but everything is so good here that is easy to change your mind. Service was great as usual. The gal that serves here is always working so service is always consistent. She always on top of it no matter how busy it is! She did have a second helper with drinks and seating which helped her out a lot. For lunch I had a half order of cha gio and the pho special. The cha gio was fried perfectly and crunchy. I love that they use rice paper for their cha gio and not egg roll wrapping. The texture and crunch is totally different. The lettuce and cucumber was so fresh! The pho came out steaming hot! Loaded with meat and green onions. The Brisket a a little tough today but it was still fantastic! The broth was rich in color and flavor. The noodles were not overcooked so it had a great chew to it. It was a hearty to work on and I couldn't finish it. Like I have said before, this place knows how to throw down zone vietnamese food. Service is always great and you'll never have a bad meal here. Just a dope ass local joint to support.

    Wonton Noodle soup--very good.

I've been twice, and both times were solid. The second time I actually left because they didn't have the wonton noodle soup that I ordered the first time, but I ended up going back because I just didn't feel like trying to find somewhere else to go. I ended up getting another type of soup the second time, and it was just as flavourful as the first time I went. Service both times were great, and I'll continue to support this local business when in the city.

#22 beef has never done me wrong and I will always highly recommend it. Price, taste, service - everything was on point. This place does not get the recognition it deserves.

A pho place near the Boise airport. They have booths and tables as seating options, and the parking lot is large but shared with other stores. The wait staff was friendly. I had the pho special which includes tripe; only one size is available. I found the flavor of broth to be tasty enough that I didn't need to add any sauces and I also thought the meat to noodle ratio was pretty even. The bun bo hue wasn't too spicy for me. If I return I would like to try some of the chef specials such as the bun cha or bun thit nuong. I was on a tight schedule to catch a flight so was glad that the service and food arrived quickly. Based on this experience I would return for another meal before a flight.

The food came out super fast and the server Danielle was super sweet. The vibes give diner which I love, the food tastes authentic, and the prices can't be beat.

What a wonderful little hole in the wall for delicious, authentic Vietnamese food in Boise. My husband and I met some friends and were able to enjoy a variety of choices from their menu. For starters, we chose the Goi Cuon or "Spring Rolls" (fresh cooked shrimp, bean sprouts with rice noodles wrapped in rice paper, served with peanut sauce, $11.25). These were fantastic. The ingredients were indeed fresh, and the peanut sauce was absolutely delish. It has a little kick to it but nothing unbearable. Totally recommend. For entrees, we ordered he House Special Noodles (chicken, beef and shrimp with stir fried veggies and house sauce on top of wheat pan fried noodles, $12.50), Shrimp with Mixed Veggies (Great stir sauce, fresh vegetables and choice of meat, $11.95), Pho Bo Vien (meat wrapped in wonton, seasonal brother and topped with green onions, noodles, shrimp, black mushroom and BBQ pork, $10.25) and one more incredible dish I cannot remember. Out of them all, the House Noodles really took the cake for me. There was just so much going on, so many different combos with each bite and the spices/flavor was absolutely awesome. However, ALL the dishes were GREAT. Service was perfect! Our waitress was very attentive, informative and most of all patient! We appreciated her so much! I would highly recommend and I will be back!

I can see why this place is so popular hot special incredibly delicious by combining meatballs, steak, tendon, and tripe mixed with jalapeños. It is delicious. I found the service to be very friendly, and they seated me right away, if anything, order the spring rolls, because they give you a healthy portion! I can see why this is called the treasure valley... This place is a gem. I found the spring rolls to be absolutely delicious and I love the photo once again I just had to say it. !!

But I rolled my dice today and took my chances and decided to head in. I sat myself. My server was handling a table but came to my table after. Dropped off a menu but this girl knew that she wanted. I did notice that they have size options for their pho now. To be honest, they are pricey compared to other joints. And their portions sizes do run smaller as well. I went with the large chicken pho today. Mannnnnn, the bowl that came out was massive! It was piping hot! The broth was clear. It was sprinkled with cilantro and onion. It looked like a delicious bowl of pho. The broth was savory and rich. The noodles were cooked perfectly! It still had softness to it will a slight bite. I added the basil, Sriracha and a little extra fish sauce. It was hard for me not to consume all the broth. The amount of noodles you get as a large here is a regular bowl at other joints. Today was the right amount I needed. This bowl was warm on my soul. The chicken was tender and not overly cooked. You get a good amount of chicken breast. Sriracha and hoisin sauce is the perfect dipping sauce for the chicken. Today's visit and my last visit was black and white. My server did a great job taking care of me today. The venue is also decorated for fall which was fun! I am stuffed to the brim. I enjoyed every bite of my bowl today. Now that it's getting colder, I will be seeing myself here quite often. Looking forward to mu next big bowl!

For dinner I was tempted to get a bowl of pho since it was so cold outside. But since I got pho yesterday I thought I'd order something different. Tonight's dinner choice was Vietnamese curry with fried tofu. My parents used to make this curry at their restaurant when I was younger. The smell and taste of it will always be a core memory for me. I remember the juicy chunks of chicken, potatoes and carrots in this beautifully crafted curry sauce. I was hoping for something similar. The bowl that was served to me was beautiful. The curry was golden. The sweet potatoes and carrots were vibrant in color. It smelled lovely. My first bite was delightful! It was fragrant in coconut, lemongrass and curry. It was very good! The curry was on the sweeter side as i continued eating it. I was only able to finish half. The curry did come with a lot of tofu! I believe the tofu was pre fried when it was purchased. It was good but wasn't fresh fried tofu. The baguette wasn't fresh. The bread didn't have the crustiness to the exterior of the bread. It was still good though. Compared to my last visit, it was night and day! Service was great! Food was good. The ambiance was casual but yet romantic. If you're looking for a good Vietnamese joint downtown, Pho Nouveau is a great local joint to try out.

The prices compared to what is being offered in Boise was less expensive so it seemed like Paris Banh Mi sold out of these items. I walked up to the young man at the cashier and asked where were all the croissants, palmiers, and chocolate croissants. He tells me, matter of factly, that what they have is out on display. To be clear, what was out on display was two or three offerings of bakery goods that didn't look fresh or even appetizing. If you're going to be a French bakery and have trays with the words of Croissants, Palmiers, and others then stock it OR Remove them as it is false advertising.
