Grilled Pork & Egg Rolls Vermicelli
    Angie H.

I'm new to Boise and was missing some Vietnamese food, but this spot definitely delivered! I met the owner, Nikki, and she's incredibly sweet and welcoming. She makes everything authentically with true Vietnamese flavor and doesn't adjust the taste to cater to the American palate. I tried: - Duck & Bamboo Shoot Noodle Soup (Bún Măng Vịt) - 10/10 Weekly special and very hearty! The broth was nice and clear with rich flavor. It came with about three THICK slices of duck and two pieces with bone. It also included a side plate of chopped vegetables and a sweet-and-sour ginger dipping sauce that paired perfectly with the duck. - Condensed Milk Phin Coffee - 10/10 I LOVE this. If you ask them to make it a little more bitter or less sweet, it's perfect. Definitely order again, esp with salted foam! - Grilled Pork & Egg Rolls Vermicelli - 9/10 Crispy egg rolls, smoky grilled pork, and fresh vegetables over vermicelli noodles. Super refreshing and great for a hot day. The housemade fish sauce was flavorful with garlic and chilies. Need to come back to try the pho next time!

Vietfood was great! Definitely my new favorite viet food places in town now. I was so happy that they actually serve their food with authentic ingredients ( i.e blood cubes, pigs hocks, etc.) food was delicious and definitely would come back here again! Staff were nice, very casual place.

Honest Review for VietFoods I'm visiting from Seattle and happened to come across this place on Google Maps--and I'm so glad I did. First visit: I walked in and was warmly greeted by the owner with a beautiful smile. She asked where I was visiting from and recommended the Bún Riêu Cua. I took her suggestion, and wow--it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, it's one of the best bowls of Bún Riêu I've had in a long time. She even asked if it compared to Seattle, and I happily told her yes! Second visit: I came back again the next day and was greeted by another staff member who was just as sweet and welcoming. This time I ordered the Phở Gà. They didn't have chicken heart or liver available, but even so, the flavor was incredible. I'd say it's the best Phở Gà I've had since my trip to Hanoi and Sapa about four months ago. Overall: The service is attentive and genuinely friendly, and the food is both authentic and excellent. Inside decor is beautiful and quiet. Love it! If you're in Boise, I highly recommend stopping by and giving VietFoods a try--you won't be disappointed.

Great and authentic Vietnamese food! I'm Vietnamese myself, so I was excited for a new place to open up in Boise. The service is friendly but a bit slow/awkward at times since they're still training new staff (and a new restaurant in general). The decor reminds me of Vietnamese restaurants you'd see in Little Saigon in Orange County, CA so that's when I knew it'd be legitimate. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and Banh Mi, as well as Vietnamese coffee. All of them were good! The Bun Bo Hue is the best here, in my opinion! Will be coming back here to try more stuff on the menu, especially since they have a lot of tradition appetizers I haven't been able to find here in Boise.

Unbelievable new experience. I love pho but today I tried something new. The #21 Special Spicy Hue Noodle Soup. Full of flavor and so much food! My new go to spot in Boise!

So my wife and I are always searching for great Vietnamese or ethnic food.. The food was fresh. We had the barbecue pork summer rolls. And we both had the barbecue pork Vietnamese sandwich. Service was slow wish as there were only two tables in the restaurant.... Ambience was nice. I felt as as if I was at a spa very calming music. I thought the Vietnamese coffee was a little expensive at seven dollars. we will definitely be back and perhaps get some pho!

Bun Bo 22. Regular Hue Spicy Noodle Soup

As someone from the Bay Area in California, I am always for the hunt for authentic Vietnamese Food in Boise. I found Vietfood when I was really craving Bun Bo Hue, and it hit the spot. The broth is flavorful, light, aromatic, and full of a variety of meats. The bowl was huge and I wish I had room for more appetizers or side dishes! I think compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in their area for Bun Bo Hue, the recipe and preparation at Vietfood is much higher in quality and quantity.

    46. Fried Eggs Sandwich

Diverse menu offerings, attention to detail and chef prepared Vietnamese dishes that range from soups to sandwiches to noodles to rice with meat and yummy desserts like banana pudding. Add-ons like beef rib, pork chop and more made the array of dishes sized just right for the appetite. Great value!

For dinner I was tempted to get a bowl of pho since it was so cold outside. But since I got pho yesterday I thought I'd order something different. Tonight's dinner choice was Vietnamese curry with fried tofu. My parents used to make this curry at their restaurant when I was younger. The smell and taste of it will always be a core memory for me. I remember the juicy chunks of chicken, potatoes and carrots in this beautifully crafted curry sauce. I was hoping for something similar. The bowl that was served to me was beautiful. The curry was golden. The sweet potatoes and carrots were vibrant in color. It smelled lovely. My first bite was delightful! It was fragrant in coconut, lemongrass and curry. It was very good! The curry was on the sweeter side as i continued eating it. I was only able to finish half. The curry did come with a lot of tofu! I believe the tofu was pre fried when it was purchased. It was good but wasn't fresh fried tofu. The baguette wasn't fresh. The bread didn't have the crustiness to the exterior of the bread. It was still good though. Compared to my last visit, it was night and day! Service was great! Food was good. The ambiance was casual but yet romantic.
