It was Mother's day when we came in for dinner. I have been wanting to try this joint out for a while so it's nice that my family decided to head in her for our Mother's day dinner. My daughter and I showed up first. We were told we can sit anywhere. Of course the table we sat at was not available. I should have taken our first interaction as an indicator of how our dining experience will be. A couple menus were dropped off for the 8 of us. My daughter ordered a soda while we were waiting. We just hung out till the rest of my family showed up. After everyone showed up, some waters and menus were brought. It kills me how much time is wasted when the server only brings out a couple waters at a time. Same with menus. Why can't you put 6 waters on a tray and get it all done all at once? After all the walking back and forth, my daughter still had yet to get her soda that she ordered when we first got there. We started the ordering process with one server. She made her way down starting on one side with my neice, nephew and my daughter next. My daughter was in the middle of ordering when another server decided to take over. My daughter wanted to order the broken rice special. The special comes with a fried egg. So, she wanted the pork belly with fried eggs. With the interruption, there was confusion to her order. She was confused about what was repeated to her since it's not what she ordered but she went with it. The server made her way down the table. I was planning on taking a couple bites of everyone's food. I was still full from lunch earlier and didn't want a full meal. And in all honesty, with the service being so all over the place, I wasn't really interested at that point. Everyone's order was read back. There was an extra order of broken rice that was read off which is what I thought would happen when another server interrupts the ordering process. I picked up on it but everyone said that it was right. I was just goimg to wait for the food to come out for my family to see the mess up. Food was slowly trickling out. Tea was ordered for my grandma and was still not brought out. There was no method to their madness. It wasn't busy for things to be forgotten. A few bowls of pho and bun bo was dropped off. My grandma's vegan noodle was next and still no tea. My nephew and daughter both ordered the broken rice but 3 plates were dropped off. Of course the current server didn't realize the mix up cause she messed up the whole process. Everyone's food looked decent. I decided not to eat cause the choas of the food and lack of service just turned me off. So today's review is solely on experience. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the service. It's been a few months since they have opened so it's ridiculous how unorganized they are. By now, you should have a decent system down. The switching of the server was unnecessary. The lack of communication between servers was prevalent. You can't expect your guest to have a relaxing meal when your serving chaos. I'm giving 2 stars cause I was told the good was decent

Service is a bit slow, but the food is good, high quality pho and delicious spring rolls. I got the beef pho number 14 and veggie spring rolls both were delicious and filling.

Very deliciously made authentic Vietnamese food. I absolutely love the atmosphere, with the very helpful and friendly wait staff. They have great vegetarian options on the menu. I had the veggie and tofu vermicelli bowl and an order of summer rolls. They mentioned that the restaurant had only been there for 6 months, but it seems very well established. I'll definitely be back to this gem in the near future.

My husband and I just moved in the area, so we were on the hunt for good Vietnamese food. This was our first stop and it already impressed us! This just might become our regular spot. We got the bun bo hue and pho, both were delicious and flavorful broth with plentiful toppings and meats. I would say it is close to being as good as dishes we had from Orange County and Vietnam. I am so excited to come back and try their other dishes!! The owner is also super nice and friendly!!

I'm new to Boise and was missing some Vietnamese food, but this spot definitely delivered! I met the owner, Nikki, and she's incredibly sweet and welcoming. She makes everything authentically with true Vietnamese flavor and doesn't adjust the taste to cater to the American palate. I tried: - Duck & Bamboo Shoot Noodle Soup (Bún Măng Vịt) - 10/10 Weekly special and very hearty! The broth was nice and clear with rich flavor. It came with about three THICK slices of duck and two pieces with bone. It also included a side plate of chopped vegetables and a sweet-and-sour ginger dipping sauce that paired perfectly with the duck. - Condensed Milk Phin Coffee - 10/10 I LOVE this. If you ask them to make it a little more bitter or less sweet, it's perfect. Definitely order again, esp with salted foam! - Grilled Pork & Egg Rolls Vermicelli - 9/10 Crispy egg rolls, smoky grilled pork, and fresh vegetables over vermicelli noodles. Super refreshing and great for a hot day. The housemade fish sauce was flavorful with garlic and chilies. Need to come back to try the pho next time!

Great and authentic Vietnamese food! I'm Vietnamese myself, so I was excited for a new place to open up in Boise. The service is friendly but a bit slow/awkward at times since they're still training new staff (and a new restaurant in general). The decor reminds me of Vietnamese restaurants you'd see in Little Saigon in Orange County, CA so that's when I knew it'd be legitimate. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and Banh Mi, as well as Vietnamese coffee. All of them were good! The Bun Bo Hue is the best here, in my opinion! Will be coming back here to try more stuff on the menu, especially since they have a lot of tradition appetizers I haven't been able to find here in Boise.

Vietfood was great! Definitely my new favorite viet food places in town now. I was so happy that they actually serve their food with authentic ingredients ( i.e blood cubes, pigs hocks, etc.) food was delicious and definitely would come back here again! Staff were nice, very casual place.

Honest Review for VietFoods I'm visiting from Seattle and happened to come across this place on Google Maps--and I'm so glad I did. First visit: I walked in and was warmly greeted by the owner with a beautiful smile. She asked where I was visiting from and recommended the Bún Riêu Cua. I took her suggestion, and wow--it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, it's one of the best bowls of Bún Riêu I've had in a long time. She even asked if it compared to Seattle, and I happily told her yes! Second visit: I came back again the next day and was greeted by another staff member who was just as sweet and welcoming. This time I ordered the Phở Gà. They didn't have chicken heart or liver available, but even so, the flavor was incredible. I'd say it's the best Phở Gà I've had since my trip to Hanoi and Sapa about four months ago. Overall: The service is attentive and genuinely friendly, and the food is both authentic and excellent. Inside decor is beautiful and quiet. Love it! If you're in Boise, I highly recommend stopping by and giving VietFoods a try--you won't be disappointed.

Unbelievable new experience. I love pho but today I tried something new. The #21 Special Spicy Hue Noodle Soup. Full of flavor and so much food! My new go to spot in Boise!

So my wife and I are always searching for great Vietnamese or ethnic food.. The food was fresh. We had the barbecue pork summer rolls. And we both had the barbecue pork Vietnamese sandwich. Service was slow wish as there were only two tables in the restaurant.... Ambience was nice. I felt as as if I was at a spa very calming music. I thought the Vietnamese coffee was a little expensive at seven dollars. we will definitely be back and perhaps get some pho!

But I rolled my dice today and took my chances and decided to head in. I sat myself. My server was handling a table but came to my table after. Dropped off a menu but this girl knew that she wanted. I did notice that they have size options for their pho now. To be honest, they are pricey compared to other joints. And their portions sizes do run smaller as well. I went with the large chicken pho today. Mannnnnn, the bowl that came out was massive! It was piping hot! The broth was clear. It was sprinkled with cilantro and onion. It looked like a delicious bowl of pho. The broth was savory and rich. The noodles were cooked perfectly! It still had softness to it will a slight bite. I added the basil, Sriracha and a little extra fish sauce. It was hard for me not to consume all the broth. The amount of noodles you get as a large here is a regular bowl at other joints. Today was the right amount I needed. This bowl was warm on my soul. The chicken was tender and not overly cooked. You get a good amount of chicken breast. Sriracha and hoisin sauce is the perfect dipping sauce for the chicken. Today's visit and my last visit was black and white. My server did a great job taking care of me today. The venue is also decorated for fall which was fun! I am stuffed to the brim. I enjoyed every bite of my bowl today. Now that it's getting colder, I will be seeing myself here quite often. Looking forward to mu next big bowl!

I walked up to the young man at the cashier and asked where were all the croissants, palmiers, and chocolate croissants. He tells me, matter of factly, that what they have is out on display.
