This new addition to Vegas steakhouses is here to impress you. Booked a table to celebrate a big birthday 8:30 on a Thursday. The place was vey busy and we were told they were running 15 mins behind. No worries, we waited in the pretty bar with a cocktail, but 35 mins later I went to ask for our table and was told it was almost ready. Finally seated we were told they were so sorry about our wait and we're going to bring us "cocktails and dessert and probably some other surprise". That sounded very generous, a little much actually, but it never happened. (Besides an extra dessert for the birthday boy). Regardless of that we had a fabulous time. We were seated at a corner table in the far back of the restaurant. Not much of people watching view but great noise level which I appreciate because I do like when you can talk and hear unhindered. Very comfortable velvet sofas and just cool ambiance in general. Service was great, we had multiple people checking in on us and got great tips about the menu. Yes! Try the lobster McandCheese! So much lobster and just delicious. We added scallops as well, and they were just cooked to perfection, the same must be said for the salmon. I can also recommend the mushroom risotto as a starter, visited generously with fresh truffle! Actually I'd like to recommend everything we ate, we were so happy with very bite. Ended with the key lime pie and it was perfect, we also received the vanilla cheesecake with fresh berries to celebrate and it was delicious as well. We will definitely be back! read more

The servers were good and very knowledgeable. The space was lovely. Got a bit loud with the two parties that came in but very nice place. I recommend for anyone's friends' night out, event or to celebrate something special. The meal was the salmon and ala cart creamy spinach. The salmon was cooked well done and was absolutely tender, full of flavor and not dry. The creamy spinach was nice, rich, and just the right temperature. Wish I could give more stars, my fiance and I went to dinner here on Thursday and we both said it was the best meal we've ever had, we loved it so much we came back on Friday. We got the filet mignon and the snake rivers farm New York strip, both were cooked perfectly and tender. The sides we got the creamed corn, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and the scalloped potatoes and everything was seriously 10/10 service was also amazing. Would also recommend the strawberry shortcake for dessert. This is going to be our new go to for dinner. Love everything here! read more

Best steakhouse ever! The decor, service, and food were all top notch. Be prepared to come with a full wallet but you will agree that it's 100% worth the cost. We ordered Alaskan King Crab legs, scallops, and filet mignon; all were delicious. Our waiters were Christian and Nikkey. They were the perfect tag team. When you go ask to be served by the pair. Should you choose bread, get the warm pretzel bread. It is fantastic. If there was anything that could be improved upon, I would suggest having a small flame under the melted butter. It cooled off too quickly and made dipping the crab legs a tiny bit under whelming. We are looking forward to our next visit. read more

I hate writing reviews like this, but if it helps even one person make a better choice, then maybe it's worth it... because this was a really disappointing experience. I've eaten at a lot of steakhouses on the Strip, and this was our first time at Don's Prime. Right from the start, it felt off. They seated us in a back room with maybe two dozen tables... and somehow put us right next to the only other occupied table in the entire room. We actually debated asking to move, assuming more guests would be seated back there shortly. That never happened. It stayed just us and that one table, awkwardly side by side in an otherwise empty space. Service didn't help. We kept hearing about our waitress, "Nikki," who never once introduced herself. Instead, a rotating cast of staff would show up to take orders or drop things off. No one was rude, but nothing felt welcoming or even remotely personal. It was especially disappointing since we were there celebrating a birthday, which they knew, but you wouldn't have guessed it from the experience. It honestly felt like we were forgotten back there. And then the food... which should have saved the night. It didn't. Everything was wildly over-salted. The steak, the potatoes, the spinach... all of it. My tongue was actually burning from how salty it was. The iceberg wedge was completely forgettable and not worth the price. I ordered an Old Fashioned that used some kind of cardamom bitters, and it tasted like an old shoe--just trying way too hard and completely missing the mark. To make it even stranger, the restrooms are labeled as non-gender specific, which is fine in theory--but in reality, the condition inside made it pretty rough. I genuinely felt bad for the women who have to deal with what men leave behind in there. In the end, it was lackluster service, badly over-seasoned food, and a $500 bill for a split salad, a couple of drinks, two steaks, and two sides. Compared to places like SW, Prime, Jean Georges, Delmonico, or really any other high-end steakhouse on the Strip, Don's just doesn't measure up. Spend your money somewhere else. read more

Wife and I had dinner on a Friday night, to check out the new place.  Food was pretty good. Highlights were the black truffle mushroom risotto, the steaks, and the pull-apart bread. Lowlights were the crab pasta special appetizer, which was spicy, but didn't have much flavor, and the desserts were not great. Mixology was pretty good with the Smoke Jumper cocktail smoked tableside. We had some problems with the ambiance. Jazz music was too loud coming out of a speaker directly over our heads. We asked several times, and they eventually turned it down. The room was so bright, we couldn't tell our little table lamp was even on.  Service was OK. Took a while to take our drink order because the waitress was a little slammed, but overall good. It's a solid 4 stars. read more

UPDATE: I would have gladly given more feedback especially since my boyfriend is still on property this week and I know he would gladly share this information with someone. However, there is no way for me to reply to the business reply they posted. I even went so far as to call the hotel and they said there was no one to speak with and they'd reach out to me but they didn't ask for my name or number to ensure someone could do that. I explained this situation and they'd still said I couldn't speak with anyone. So much for customer service. What's the purpose of a business even responding if you can't get in touch with them!? We had high hopes for Don's Prime, but left underwhelmed. Service was inconsistent from the start--while our gluten-free guest received quick accommodation, we had to ask three times for regular bread, which finally arrived midway through dinner. Drinks were also delayed, and miscommunication around our wine order added to the frustration. While the foie gras was excellent, the lobster tasted overly fishy, and the filet lacked seasoning. The service team felt disconnected. The man who introduced himself never checked in on us after seating, and when we shared our disappointment, he simply nodded without any effort to address it. The sommelier we spoke with on the way out was receptive, but we've heard nothing since. As hotel guests, we canceled our future reservations and chose to dine off-property instead. Given the price point, Don's Prime didn't deliver the quality or hospitality we expected. read more

Came here for Christmas dinner. We were seated exactly at the reservation time of 6pm. It took a little while for our server to come around as she was busy chit-chatting w/other patrons. We ordered the risotto, American NY steak 10oz, surf-n-turf filet, mac n cheese and asparagus. On couple occasions, the server brought us food and drinks we didn't order. Whipped mash was delivered to our table when we didn't order it and was left with us free of charge. The steaks were cooked perfect medium. Our server, Stacy, was great. Super nice and attentive. Overall 4.5 stars. Restaurant decor was sleek and modern, service was attentive, and food was very good (we had the oysters, rib eye, creamed corn and butter whipped potatoes, plus the free bread was a nice touch). I would rank this slightly lower than Steak 48 in Los Angeles for a few reasons: the steak was good but at $135 it should be perfection, the $23 martini was half the size (steakhouse martinis should pack a punch!) and while the service was good it wasn't 5-star (eg they didn't serve us the sides, so we awkwardly had to reach across the table to scoop onto our plates). They did offer a slice of chocolate cake for my husband's birthday which was appreciated. read more

This was my second time going to Don's and let me start by saying it's a must visit if you're here at Fontaine Bleau Las Vegas. The porterhouse steak is incredible and the potato dish they have with cheese is to die for. The complimentary bread consisted of a buttered croissant roll and pretzel twists, which were admittedly addicting. Our servers provided us with recommendations for drinks based on our palates - my friend and I ordered white wines, while my partner received the whiskey cart that consisted of an old fashion in addition to a pleasant history and mixology lesson from our server. For food we ordered the roasted seafood tower, chopped salad, 45 day dry aged ribeye, roasted wild mushrooms, and corn with bacon. The steak was slightly overcooked, but was aged perfectly and the seafood tower was one of the best I've ever had. The chopped salad was refreshing and the wild mushrooms were perfectly meaty, but the corn left more to be desired. We mentioned to our servers that it was our friend's going away dinner and our servers graciously provided us with complimentary desserts that consisted of both the s'mores cake and crème brûlée. This was our first time here (friends/family recommended). Group of 6 had a reservation at 8:30pm. We didn't get our order taken until past 9. Getting the attention of the waiter was difficult. He was not attentive. When we asked questions about the menu, he appeared annoyed. Once the good arrived, we had to send back one entree because it was not prepared correctly (requested medium rare, and it came to table medium). All the food was cold. Overall, we had a great experience. The service was prompt and friendly, and the seating was very comfortable. We kicked things off with the lobster mac (serious lobster overload), bone marrow, and crab cakes (crispy outside, tender inside, zero filler). My filet arrived exactly medium-rare, tender, and juicy. BUT--and it's a big but--the default salt crust was way overkill and ended up masking all that delicious meatiness. A lighter hand with the salt would've made this a textbook steak. So why 4.5 and not 4? Because of the service. Fan-freaking-tastic from start to finish. Glasses never went empty, timing, everything. Total pros. Bottom line: Don's Prime nails almost everything. Skip or dial back the salt crust on your steak, and you'll be looking at a solid five-star night. read more

I wanted to pick the best place to take my husband for his birthday. Men and meat are always a great combination lol, so I picked the best steakhouse in the most beautiful resort in town. We were seated right away in the Red Room. There are various rooms with different color schemes. It really doesn't matter which room you sit in. Every room is luxurious yet comfortable. Our servers Jenn and David were incredibly kind and helpful. I had stated my gluten allergy when making the reservation but I usually have to make sure to remind the staff again but not at Don's Prime. They asked about it right away and helped me with menu choices. I've never felt so safe and cared for. They even had separate gluten free bread service and made sure to bring me my own butter so my husband's knife would not touch it. The GM John also stopped by to make sure we were doing ok. He was a very nice and friendly person. I wish I could remember everyone's names because every face we encountered had a smile on it. I think the other manager was Lucio. I forgot what the delightful amuse bouche was. I was just so happy I was able to eat it. If anyone doesn't know what that is. It is a small bite size offering from the chef that is translated as a gift for your mouth. Then we had the Chilled Seafood Plateau that contained Maine Lobster , King Crab , Jumbo Shrimp , Oysters and Clams. It was all so fresh. Next we split an Iceberg Wedge Salad with smoked bacon and a roasted tomato ranch dressing. I honestly didn't really want this salad but I let my husband pick because it was his birthday. Boy was I happy I did!!! It was Delicious with a capital D. The Iceberg was as cold and crisp as it could possibly get. The dressing was heavenly and the buttermilk blue cheese was silky not pungent. For our main courses I got the Table Side Sole Meunière while my husband ordered the Dry-Aged Bone-in NY Steak. We also ordered the Butter Whipped Potatoes and Roasted Wild Mushrooms. I was elated to hear that the Sole was gluten free. It was masterfully deboned table side then dressed with brown butter, capers, raisins, almonds and lemon. I highly recommend this dish. One bite into the steak and you immediately taste the perfectly seasoned crust. The steak was as tender as a filet with the robust beefy flavor that a strip is known for. The Butter Whipped Potatoes were heavenly. I honestly could have had a bowl of them and called it a day. I'm literally drooling right now just thinking about them. Do not miss them when you dine here!!!!!! For dessert they brought my husband a Sticky Toffy Pudding topped with ice cream on a plate with Happy Birthday beautifully drawn on it. He said it was very good. I couldn't taste it because of the gluten. They thoughtfully brought me an incredible Crème Brûlée which was gluten free. We were seated right on time for our reservation and the hostess even acknowledged my husband's birthday (I made a note when making the reservation). Service continued to be excellent from start to finish. For starters they bring you a pull apart bread & pretzel bread sticks. Don't pass on the bread! The pull apart bread tasted like Cacio e Pepe. It was amazing! I could have ate just that. For entrees I went with a wedge salad & a crab cake and my husband had the spring pea soup & Ny strip.
