Just so happens you're at the MGM and you're looking for steak. Here's where you'd most likely end up. My entire meal consisted of Caesar salad, 16oz bone in NY Strip (medium rare) and Broccoli di ciccio. Everything was really good, but for sure all of it was too much for me. The Caesar salad had the option of adding anchovies which I did. It was really good especially with the Parmesan chips that it comes with. The NY strip was really good as they basted it with garlic and thyme (which wasn't over powering). I could have been fine without the broccoli as I was overly stuffed. But going back between the two flavors was a really good balanced that complemented very well. This restaurant is very dimly lit and is pretty crowded. Suggestion would be for sure to get a reservation if possible, but I have been able to get in here as long as you're not with too many people. If you're really hungry and you're ordering a steak, my suggestion is to get some type first course (appetizer) as you may be waiting a while for your steak to be cooked. read more

Man, what a beautiful dining experience we had with the folks at Craftsteak. It hammered home the point that the company you keep can change an entire experience. We had a six top to celebrate my brothers wedding and it was a calm Sunday evening in the dining room. The decor is dark and has that old world vibe. We probably should have done a craft cut tasting experience because sharing all the different steaks would have been an excellent experience. Blue, our waiter, did such a great job of explaining the menu so we could make solid decisions without ordering way too much food. His style allows for the dining experience to unfold organically, rather than a forced and rushed meal. Lobster bisque --- wow! Really deep lobster flavors, succulent Maine lobster meat and the bisque was exceptionally seasoned. It truly shows when a chef and the team can hammer out a really difficult soup that just bangs with flavor. Caesar salad with pickled anchovies --- I've been in an anchovy kinda mood and this was such an exceptional dish. Pickled, fresh anchovies, with a very lemon forward profile, and freshly prepared fillets. I absolutely loved the preparation of this dish. 18 oz Prime Ribeye --- Star of the show indeed and nothing short of perfection. The cook on this meat was nicely medium, well rested, aggressively seasoned and tender, delicious, fatty ribeye. Melt in your mouth goodness with such a wonderful garlicky, herbaceous sauce. Stunning portions to share. 32 oz Porterhouse --- Massive hunk of cow and cooked to perfection. Rendered fatty goodness followed by that absolutely delicious medium rare interior. Seasoned very well, slightly Smokey finish and just an absolutely massive hunk of meat. Halibut --- Perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and such a nice tangy, caper/lemon/butter/herb sauce that compliments the flavors very well. Easily could eat this entire portion to myself. Diver Scallops --- Not my favorite dish, considering I always love to order scallops. I feel like the sear was not there, the cook was fine, but it just lacked the flavors that the other items delivered. Not a bad dish, just not my favorite. It was expensive, but, that's not news if you are into fine dining in Sin City! Shoutout to the entire Craftsteak team for making this such an amazing event. First off, the chairs were horribly uncomfortable - the -1 star is largely due to that. It is also very dimly lighted - not a problem for me but worth noting. We felt very close to the tables over the pony wall and behind me. Again, it was not really a problem but could have been. STAY AWAY!!! I wasted 200 there 2 nights ago. I ate only meal that day and it was from here. I ordered filet mignon and potato purée and mushrooms. All night long I was sick and finally I got Imodium at 10am. Totally missed my whole conference because of this. I had to checkout at 11am but told them I couldn't leave for at least 3 more hours all because the food they gave me was bad and I got sick. I tried to call them but their number goes to mgm grand to answer and they don't answer the phone. There is no email and their website is mgm grand website. So you cannot even call anyone to complain about this. I want a full refund. I have all the pics of the food and Imodium and proof of me missing the conference!!!! It was a busy night, there was a conference at the MGM so the restaurant was packed. We had reservations and were seated when we got there. It took awhile for our waiter to come by and give us the menu. The bus boy was more attentive than our waiter. He gave use recommendations, chatted with us, was attentive, and gave excellent customer service. First came out were the dinner rolls, which were delicious. We ordered the Caesar Salad, the braised beef short rib, the bone in NY steak, asparagus, and potato puree. We were so full that there was no room for dessert. Meats should never come sauced automatically. To me that means you are trying to hide the flavor of the meat. Even though it was sauces it was cooked perfect medium rare. Very good! As a retired Top Chef fan, I was curious about Tom Colicchio's cuisine. I enjoyed watching him judge and occasionally demonstrate his cooking skills on television. After dining at this establishment, I understand why Tom Colicchio is the head judge on Top Chef. The Caesar Salad with the pickled white anchovies alone deserves five stars! It was well-dressed and had enough salinity from crunchy pieces of parmesan. The lettuce was chopped into pieces that held up against the more assertive flavors. The pickled white anchovies were a surprise! I anticipated a salty punch, but a lovely acidic note tied the salad together. The anchovies added an incredible bite against all the crispy and crunchy textures. Having had this salad, I have a newfound appreciation for flavor combinations. I love this salad! We also had the Lobster Bisque, Ribeye, Diver Sea Scallops, Potato Puree, and Baby Spinach. The potato puree was creamy and rich, the scallops tender, the lobster bisque was smooth, and the baby spinach cut through all the richness. The place is spacious, great for groups. The service was outstanding! A team served us, and we have no complaints! So, if you're on the fence about trying this place, make that reservation asap! read more

Such a beautiful restaurant! Service is amazing. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and ordered the 18oz ribeye, diver sea scallops, and the warm frissee salad. Salad was delicious, must try. The sea scallops, another must try, just melted in your mouth, cooked perfectly. The ribeye, don't get me wrong it's definitely a great cut of meat, it was cooked perfectly, but the flavor was missing. If anything all I tasted was the sea salt that they sprinkle on top. Maybe their goal was to allow customers to really taste the meat rather than sauces and seasonings to hide the true taste of the steak, which I understand. My husband and I ended up cutting a bit of the garlic that came with it and actually ate that with each steak bite to get a bit more flavor. Overall again, amazing restaurant, service, and food. Everything went well. If it's possible to give my highest rating to a restaurant, it would be this one. This is the second time I've had dinner here, the first time having been eight or 10 years ago. In both instances what stood out was the exceptional professionalism of the serving staff. Too often, a meal can be ruined by a team approach for the weight staff, because three or four people can either execute a juggling act that would impress Simon Cowell or provide an experience that described by the word cluster fuck. These guys would win America's got talent for waiting, and providing professional courteous informed service. And the food coming out of the kitchen is astonishing. We definitely had the best porterhouse steak of my 68 year life. It was tender and flavorful, and served beautifully sliced with aromatic garlic and thyme and butters, and a lovely gratuitous touch of a marrow bone from some other part of the beef which added to the richness. We started with just three oysters each they were perfect. We had an excellent Caesar salad salad, which we also shared and two sides of incredibly fresh delicious variety, mushrooms, and steamed spinach that I had no bitterness. The quality of the provisions on the Care and precision to deliver them as requested was impressive. The ambience is excellent here. The room is handsome and masculine, but not in a toxic way. This just tasteful and restrained and comfortable. There are enough textures to balance the Hard services that the Cafe experienced in most modern restaurants is absent and one can actually carry on a conversation with the diners that they're on table. That's not true in many restaurants in Vegas or around the country. All of this is a testament to the Care and thought that Tom Colicchio and his team have put into creating this restaurant and seeing to its curated state and well oiled operating precision. Anyone looking to splurge on a stake meal here would've made a wise choice. There are a number of seafood and chicken options. Everything seems to be really good. There is talent and dedication on display here. Dan in particular needs to be singled out and thanked in our Four man team as having organized and delivered a truly memorable meal. read more

My server was Alexis who was very friendly and made great suggestions. I started with their warm frisée salad which was based on her recommendation. They actually mix the egg at the table in front of you which very unique. It is a special salad but you have to like egg, bacon and blue cheese. Wonderful concussion. I then had the 8oz filet with a half side of cauliflower and half side of broccolini. Fort was tender and cooked to my instructions and came in a small skillet. The cauliflower was on a bed or garlicky butter and very tasteful. Broccolini were well done with garlic and crushed red pepper. All in all 5 stars. 1000% recommend visiting Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak in MGM Grand. We made reservations through the MGM app and reserved a tomahawk that is prepaid. We actually ended up moving the reservation back a couple hours because we weren't that hungry and they were very accommodating. When we arrived we were brought right to our seats and introduced to our servers. The wine/cocktails menu is huge! We ordered the Sinatra whiskey and two smoking barrels. They smoke the two smoking barrels drink at your table and is a fun presentation. We ordered the warm frisée and wagyu tartare for the first course and the aligot and mushrooms for the sides.
