Came here for dinner while we were in town. Sat at the bar and ordered the sourdough bread, large Ceaser salad, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts and they sliced a Porterhouse steak for the 4 of us. Everything was very good and the steak was cooked to perfection. Service was very good and a real old time steakhouse atmosphere.

This steakhouse has a beautiful and classic atmosphere. It was one of the most highly recommended steak spots that kept coming up during my Vegas research. We ordered the sourdough, mixed greens & apples salad, the dry aged bone-in ribeye, and the thick cut maple & pepper bacon. It was SO much food for two people, and for it being our splurge meal of the trip, it didn't end up being a "break the bank" kind of meal. The sourdough bread was pretty good, but it was just that: "pretty good". Unless you need bread as a precursor to every steak meal, I don't think it's as much of a must-get as people make it sound. The salad was light and refreshing, and it was a good accompaniment to the rest of our heavy meal. The dry aged ribeye was very good, with a really beefy flavor. It was tender and flavorful. The bacon was also very hyped up by those who recommended this place to me. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but it was SO rich and SO fatty (definitely leaning more thick cut pork belly than candied bacon) and very heavy on the pepper that I actually couldn't eat more than one piece. Service was very attentive. I could tell that they take that seriously here. I will admit that the food fell a liiittle short of my expectations given the endless praise for this place, but the environment and great service definitely bumps it up to a 5 star. 4.5/5

A beautiful steakhouse experience with my beautiful friend and fellow Yelper. Top tier service, which was cozy, welcoming, relaxed, attentive and friendly. We started with two slices of sourdough bread and warm goat cheese with tomato. Both were delicious. We shared steak frites, fried chicken, truffle mac and asparagus. For me, the asparagus was the best bite. If you get it be sure to squeeze that lemon all over it... So good! Enjoy!

Bavette is a must every time we visit Vegas! We try to go to Vegas every few months when we can and 9 times out of 10 we will have dinner here. Last visit was July 4th weekend. Our server Brian was the best! He was lovely and the service he provided was exceptional. He saw we ordered the ribeye and recommended a certain wine pairing for it. He even gave me a complimentary small glass to have with the steak! Service was above and beyond and I would solely come back for him. He made our night. We've tried many things from the menu from our visits. Including the dry aged steak and seafood tower. We weren't trying to order too much this time so we mostly went with appetizers and steaks for me and my fiancé. What we ordered: Half dozen oysters - So good and fresh! Was a great snack to have before our other meals came. 10/10 Beef tartare - Delicious! Flavors meld together so well and came with bread. It's slightly salty but I like it! 9/10 Crab Cakes - Very good and the tartar sauce is divine. A lil expensive for one cake though. 8/10 Wedge Salad - This salad was so perfect. Right amount of dressing and toppings. Lettuce was crisp! Quite addicting. 10/10 Bone Marrow - First time ordering it and WOW! Definitely getting this when we visit again. Comes with a caramelized jam and paired so well with the fattiness and bread. 12/10 Bone in Filet - So good and cooked to perfection. I usually like ribeyes but this was delicious and paired well with the sides and appetizers! 9/10 Ribeye - Fiancé ordered this! A must if you love a fatty steak. Cooked to perfection as well. 10/10 Mash potatoes - We always order this when we come. It's sooo buttery and not too salty. Goes so well with the steaks. 10/10 Bavette is a must visit when you come to Vegas. Service and food is consistent. The vibes are great and a perfect place for a special occasion :) We are coming back to Vegas during Labor Day weekend and already made a reservation to come back.

Amazing! We had a reservation for dinner but ended up snagging seats at the bar section an hour ahead since my husband & I were hungry already. The service was kind & efficient! - sourdough bread: so fresh & delicious. Wish we had done another serving but we knew we had quite a bit of food coming. - baked crab cake: tasted fresh, great portion to share & loved the remoulade it came with - mixed green & apple salad: so good! Such a great proportion of ingredients & each flavor shined through - dry-aged bone-in rib eye: delicious, cooked to perfection & so tender to cut! My favorite steak I've had in vegas! - truffle mac and cheese: this was so creamy, truffle was not too overpowering & also my favorite truffle mac & cheese I've had Everything we ordered was a hit & would reorder again. Loved this steakhouse & cannot wait to return.

Bavette's is located inside of Park MGM and has been a staple steakhouse for quite some time in Southern Nevada, originating from Chicago. On the inside, it is not really what you would assume a Chicago steakhouse to look like. There is a lot more flair, from nice chandeliers, velvet seating surfaces. I had eaten here before about 9-months ago for my wedding anniversary. The reason I chose to come back for dinner is because of something that caught my eye on the menu last Fall. They have a stroganoff and since I was a kid, Beef Stroganoff has always been one of my favorite things to eat. As Father's Day is one of the only times I really get to choose where and what to eat, I decided today was the day to give it a try! Service was what you expect from a higher end restaurant. Prompt, courteous and attentive. I started with the handmade sourdough with cultured butter with sea salt. The bread has a crunchy crust but was a little dense for my personal taste. The butter, was well, butter. I also had the wedge salad. The wedge was standard steakhouse flair, except it included a thick, candied, generous piece of pork belly. At last, the stroganoff arrived. Unlike a traditional stroganoff, their offering included hand cut fettuccine, instead of egg noodles. The fettuccine was light with just the right amount of firmness for a good chew. The star of the dish was the beef short rib. It was sweet and savory and was complimented perfectly with the button mushrooms. All-in-all, I love traditional Beef Stroganoff, but I really enjoyed Bavette's interpretation.

We both agreed: it's not not the best burger we've ever had :)

Great room, great service. My husband and I wanted to try a bunch of things so we split the burger and it was probably the best burger I've ever had. I also got the steak frites. I got the skirt steak version, but I wish I had tried the rib eye version instead because it was not as tender as I had wished it was. My husband got the fried chicken and the bite I had was great. We didn't want to skip dessert so we got the chocolate pie and the carrot cake and have no regrets. I look forward to our return visit! P.S. I truly appreciate people who take hospitality seriously. For example, they boxed up the dessert that we couldn't finish and included silverware with it. On the surface that's not a big deal, but it just shows that they think things through on behalf of their guests.

The ingredients that were supposed to be on the sandwich, not the red and green peppers and onions that were included.

Underwhelming--and honestly shocking for a restaurant of this caliber. 2 stars for the atmosphere. Our party of nine chose Bavette's Steakhouse at Park MGM to celebrate two very special occasions: a 36-year business partnership and a 78th birthday. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable dinner was overshadowed by poor food quality, rushed service, and an overall lack of hospitality. One person's steak had to be sent back three times. The first steak was significantly overcooked for rare. The replacement was raw and incorrect yet again. By the third attempt, the steak was delivered with what appeared to be security accompanying it, and they literally stood over my son while he cut into it--as though the steak were being delivered by the Secret Service. It was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and frankly embarrassing. Our waiter also seemed extremely rushed. On at least two occasions, he assumed someone was finished ordering and began walking away before they had completed their order. We had to stop him and explain that they were not done. I ordered the prime rib French dip, and nowhere in the menu description did I see anything indicating that it would come covered with onions and red and green peppers. Had those ingredients been disclosed, I absolutely would not have ordered it. I will be posting a photo of the menu description because the sandwich I received was completely different from what I expected and, for me, was disgusting. What disappointed me just as much was the restroom situation. It is 2026, and a restaurant of this stature inside a major Las Vegas resort has no changing table and no family restroom? We had a baby with us and ultimately had to place a changing pad on the sink area to change her. Other guests became irritated, which made an already awkward situation even more uncomfortable. Families should not be put in that position. What really bothered me was that, despite multiple issues during our meal, no manager ever came to our table to address the situation. For a party of nine celebrating important milestones and experiencing repeated problems, I would have expected management to acknowledge what was happening. I had Bavette's very high on my list of restaurants to visit at Park MGM. Unfortunately, this experience was incredibly underwhelming. For the reputation, atmosphere, and price point, I expected considerably better food, service, communication, and attention from management. The lasting memory of our celebration should have been the birthday and 36 years of partnership--not the steak that required three attempts and arrived on its final trip with an entourage.

I have been a huge fan of Bavette's since I went to the location in Chicago. Everything about them, from the food, the service, decor and the ambience speaks to old school steakhouse vibes. The Vegas location was no different. The food and service was top notch. I tell everyone not to sleep on the fried chicken, which is some of the best you'll have, but this last time we discovered how great the Prime Beef French Dip is as well. The Lyonnaise salad with that thick bacon and soft egg is superb, and of course you can't go wrong with any of their steaks. Believe it or not, but the only knock this visit was the fries, which came with two items we ordered. Both orders of fries were undercooked and on the mushier side, so perhaps just a bad batch.

Ambiance - upscale, intimate, great for dates as well as large groups Service - exceptional, our server and the staff were nice, checked on us often Food - our medium rare steak was cooked to perfection, do not skip on the bone marrow + their handmade sourdough bread

I so badly wanted to give this one five stars, but I think I also had a 'different' experience with a very large party. We were in town for a work trip and there were 14 of us who came for dinner. It was great being in the private room so we had space, but it was pretty crammed with the big (although very comfortable) seats. The wine was excellent for the table and the few cocktails we ordered for the rest of dinner were solid. I liked most of the appetizers -- the goat cheese dip was great and the tartare was good (but just a bit salty). The bread was amazing and I could have eaten all of that myself. Salads were great and I had an extra serving. The salmon was SO INCREDIBLY SWEET I could barely eat it. Same feedback from the others. I shared my neighbor's short rib pasta and that was incredible. Dessert was disappointing and most of us did not eat the cake. Service was good and I felt like the table touches were appropriate and there was enough help for our main server. I definitely would go back to try again, just not in a big group setting.

Absolutely outstanding experience at Bavette's from start to finish. The location is unassuming -- tucked in between the sports book on the casino floor. Stepping inside it's a large space that has incredible ambiance. Large bar in the middle of the restaurant showcases a traditional steakhouse vibe that isn't stuffy and promotes a subtle elegance. Service was friendly and attentive without being pushy or overbearing. The standout here is the food. Everything we tried was great, but especially the burger. OMG -- it's definitely not not the best burger I've ever eaten, and I'm strongly considering that it may be the best burger I've ever eaten. The fried chicken was also fantastic -- perfectly crispied and seasoned atop buttery mashed potatoes that were creamy and so delicious. WARNING: Save room for dessert. The chocolate pie is the clear gold medal winner, but DO NOT sleep on the carrot cake. The spices and bits of walnut and golden raisins were Christmas on a plate. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal on the strip.

    Do they offer prime rib?

    Yes

What are the dress code restrictions? ideally looking for resort casual, where my group may wear a nice polo, nice shoes and shorts. Have had a hard time finding something at this point.

Agree with all of the replies-- I've seen what you are describing (and a little more casual) to super fancy and it all works there. Very relaxed atmosphere focused on good food and drinks. Ask about the "secret bar" in the back!

What age is allowed? I have a teenager and an infant. Thanks!

They would be allowed to dine but would question if you would want to bring an infant if you want to enjoy an uninterrupted meal with the possibility of an infant fussing or crying and interrupting others who are there to enjoy their dining…

What are the vegan options? I read the menu as bd it seems to have vegetarian options unless kitchen is open to making dishes vegan.

Hello Renee - See below for our current vegan options:…

    Do they take walk-ins?

Yes! I walked right in on a Friday and sat at the bar. So, depending on busy they are, be prepared for possible bar seating. Enjoy!

Do they take parties of 6? I was trying to make a reservation for 6 online but 5 was the most I could select. Not sure if that was just an online thing or if they're limiting tables to 5 or less because of Covid.

Ive seen parties that larger there before but because constant changing covid rules i would call them to confirm. They open at 5pm

    Is there entertainment?

No live music etc. it's quite loud inside with the bar being in the middle of the restaurant and there's background music.

What kind of non-alcoholic drinks are available? (Water, soft drinks, teas, coffee.)

They can make any mocktails, but they have all the usual sodas etc.

    Is there a dress code?

I saw everything from business casual to coat and tie

Are you open for thanksgiving 2021? If so, is the normal dinner menu available or will we only be able to order from a "Thanksgiving" menu?

There's no thanksgiving menu. Just the classic menus as usual

Are reservations required for solo dining at the bar?

No. We walked in twice in the same week and sat at the bar. Once while we waited for our reservation and the other we decided to eat.

When making a reservation on open table it has separate times for a "main dining room" reservation and an untitled dining area. Can anyone tell me the difference or which you'd recommend?

I've never seen multiple options for Bavette's on Open Table, they just have a main dining room and a bar. Main dining room is great, go with that. Reserve in advance sometimes it's hard to get in. Steaks are phenomenal.

Is the 16 oz Chicago style rib eye boneless or bone-in? Thanks!

    Boneless. It's wet aged also.

Can i order for take out?

Yes, but they don't take orders over the phone. You will have to come in and order with the bartender.

Do they allow room charge for the bill? Staying at Bellagio

    Yes

Are the steaks done over flame or on a griddle?

    Flame. And perfectly prepared.

    How is the wine list?

    Excellent

    Are shorts allowed?

They are allowed. But with that being said I would. I recommend them. This is a fine dinner restaurant modeled after the old Chicago style steakhouses. Back in the day if you didn't have a jacket you would be given one to wear for dinner. Make a…

Does Bavette's have a Happy Hour bar menu (drinks and food)? If so, which days and time?

i dont remember seeing a happy hour.

One of our party said they wanted room temperature water instead of iced, server said they don't normally have that, but he eventually brought some, never brought the hot tea we ordered though. Pretty good selection of vittles. Egg and carb heavy IMHO. We really wanted some fruit, but that never came around until we were almost ready to leave. Almost all the hot items were served almost lukewarm. Probably due to the fact we were at one end of the dining room and the servers came in from the other end and made their rounds. Selection was pretty good , but I was craving either bacon or sausage and I never saw any making its way to our table. It did seem that by the time the servers got to our table, their trays were pretty close to empty. So maybe mixing it up a bit and starting at different corners with each rotation? But the food was good, definitely brunchie . Standouts to me were the egg benedict's (two kinds) . And the yoghurt and fruit and the berry dish. Other diners at the table thought the mini burgers and the grits were good. (The grits were too creamy for me, but that is just a personal preference) Other diners liked the flatbreads and the ubi pancakes. They do have a bottomless beverage option as well, and our server happily had the bartender prepare a couple to go drinks before we left. Final opinion, still a good deal and alternative to the buffet, especially with respect to lines and wait times... We'll be back of course, still need to get my applewood bacon.

We had finished with our salads and still no visit from our server. We finally pushed our salad plates to the side thinking someone would pick them up. Our food is brought out to us by a runner, and our salad plates still there and still no visit from our server. The runner then removes our salad plates. I see that our server is busy with a party of 11 behind us (more money there for him instead of us, a party of two). While eating our food, our server brings a birthday dessert to the ladies across from us and make conversation with them, still no visit to us. We finish our food which was good, then our server arrives to ask if we would be ordering dessert. We reply no because we figured a birthday dessert would be coming out as it did for the ladies across from us. Nope, nothing! All week I felt a little special by the other restaurants we went to in MGM. In the previous nights we had gone to Morimoto and Craft Steak which both did an amazing birthday dessert. I wasn't expecting Luchini's to do something to the same caliber as Morimoto or Craft Steak, but I thought at least something. My score is for the lack of service by our server and yes, no birthday dessert. It wouldn't have been a big deal if the ladies across from us didn't get one. Then I would just think Luchini's doesn't give anything out. But that was not the case. When you go out of town to celebrate and drop some money (because it's not cheap), you want some good service which unfortunately we didn't receive.

This bar will be closing on April 2, 2024 when Tropicana closes. We didn't get to stop in here last…read moretime we were @ the Trop for a show because it was closed for a private event but we went in here last night 03/29/2024. Bartenders were very slow & even though my friend & I had been sitting at the bar for a bit the bartenders were waiting on new customer's who had come up to the bar after us & then taking orders again from people who had already been sitting @ the bar drinking. It was annoying....but the female blonde bartender did apologize to us for "the wait" which I appreciated that she did & also noticed we had been waiting awhile. She was nice & friendly and did check on us again. There was one guy down @ the end of the bar with a couple other men & he kept coughing & coughing & coughing without even covering his mouth....it got very annoying and eventually he left (thank God!) but then one of the guys started smoking a cigar and it was soooooo stinky & a chic behind us who was smoking a cigarette, which was stinky too. I know these bad habits are smelly but I wish the air circulation in this bar was better. I did enjoy my Lemon Lime Happy Dad seltzer & gambled a little bit but didn't win any money. I have been in this bar twice in the past & had a better experience so I'll give it 4 stars, just like with any place sometimes your visits can be good & sometimes not soo good!

We used to come to the Tropicana, years ago. There was a gracious, wonderful valet. There was history. There was pride. There were customers. This is the end of days for the Trop.
