While in Vegas you should definitely get a nice steak dinner and Peter Luger is a great option. It's located in Caesars Palace alongside other good restaurants including the buffet. It definitely brings the NYC feel once you step inside. It was dinner time so it was quite busy but I feel like service in Vegas has figured it out - how to deliver fast friendly service. To start naturally we ordered some drinks that fit the vibe, classic strong drinks that went well with steak. While I am usually a filet mignon person, our table selected the steak for 2 which turned out to be a good amount for us. Plus the butter it's smothered in is amazing. For our other sides we selected the Caesar salad (fitting because we were in Caesar's :) and the crab cake (another favorite of mine). Note there are $$$$ signs so do not expect it to be cheap. Peter Luger Steak House has a fantastic prix-fixe lunch for $45.95, and it's an incredible value for a steakhouse at Caesars Palace. You get to choose an appetizer, main course, side, and dessert. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Luger's Sizzling Bacon, Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Luger Creamed Spinach, French Fried Potatoes, and the "Holy Cow" Hot Fudge Sundae. Everything was absolutely delicious! Pro tip: Save some of the Luger's Sizzling Bacon and add it to the Luger Burger. It takes an already great burger to another level! I have been looking forward to the burger during lunch but it was a disappointment. It was a 1/2 pound patty with the bun. The bun can make or break a burger. Patty was juicy but bun was not soft and no lettuce or tomato. I added bacon and the thick piece came on the side not sliced into the burger. You had a choice of the 3 course menu with appetizers, main course, sides and dessert for $49.95. I added bacon with the burger which was an additional $8.95. I should have ordered it as part of the appetizer at no cost and it would have came with two not one slice. The meal was quite filling. Another Vegas trip, this time to celebrate our 10 year Wedding Anniversary. We had originally set up an earlier reservation but had to move it further due to unforseen circumstances but the staff was Bru accommodating. We were seated by the kitchen which we hadn't seen before and it was very inviting and romantic as the lights were dimmed. Our service was great just like the first time. We had high expectations for Peter Luger, and while there were definitely some highlights, the overall experience didn't quite live up to the price. Kimmy and Xavier took great care of us throughout the evening. We saw Xavier most often, and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions. The standout of the meal was, without a doubt, the seafood tower. It was absolutely worth ordering. The generous portions of crab, lobster, and shrimp made it feel like a great value, especially since the crab was already out of the shell and the lobster was perfectly prepared and ready to enjoy. We also loved the mango and raspberry sorbets for dessert--they were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. We brought our own bottle of wine and paid the $50 corkage fee. I also ordered the Black Cherry Margarita, which was delicious, while my husband enjoyed a glass of the Domaine Laroche Chablis. Unfortunately, the steak was just okay. Come to think of it, they recently introduced a three course meal call the Power Lunch for $50.00. It's very similar to the Restaurant Week menu but there's more main entree options to choose from with Power Lunch. This restaurant is located right next to the famous Bacchanal Buffet. For our appetizers, we chose the Cesar Salad and their famous Luger's Sizzling Bacon. YES YES YES!!!!! If you're a fan of bacon, THIS IS A MUST ORDER. This isn't your plain ol diner bacon. Thick pieces, charred perfectly. You need to try this for yourself. Cesar salad was delicious as Cesar salad gets. Our main entree, we both got the Broiled Salmon. Comes with your choice of either creamed spinach or french fries. Both fantastic options. The creamed spinach pairs well with the salmon as there's not too much flavor/seasoning to it. Gives your tastebuds a bit more flavor. All I can say about the french fries is I've never tasted a fry I didn't like lol. Portions are big enough for leftovers. I love how they don't skim on your portions even though it's for Restaurant Week. As if you're not full yet...don't forget about dessert. The Holy Cow Sundae's portion was just right. I have eaten at the other 2 Peter Lugar spots in NY and i thought Great Neck location was it, But I was Wrong. This Peter Lugars here in Las Vegas is by far the BEST one. The Service and our Server Obi were spot on. When we go back there and we will I want Obi to be our server again. they have a nice Big round bar and the inside part of this resturant is like being in Cafe Central in Austria. The food was perfect better than NY locations. the only draw back was the girl at the front desk outside. seemed to have an attitude, she needs more people skills. this is not a place like a breakfast hangout. Of course, I had to try the famous bacon, and let me tell you... it really is some of the best bacon you'll ever have. Don't forget to dip it in the house BBQ sauce! I'm still dreaming about that bacon. The Caesar salad was a bit mid and slightly dry for my liking. The Maine lobster tail, however, was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh. The steak was worth the supplement and their burger patty is top tier, and better than most other gourmet burgers on the Strip. When I saw it was also in Vegas, I couldn't resist trying it on my Vegas vacation. I sat at the bar and noticed there is a power lunch special. It seemed like a great deal. Three courses for $45, with one course option being the Luger Burger. My three courses were luger's sizzling bacon, the Peter Luger Burger with french fried potatoes, and the hot fudge sundae. The bacon was two thick cuts of bacon with the luger steak sauce. You can't go wrong with bacon. Of course it was good. Next up was the burger. It's a thick perfectly cooked to temperature juicy burger on a sesame seed bun. No crappy smash burger here. It lived up to expectations. I devoured it. The french fries were thicker cut crispy fries that paired with the burger perfectly. After I finished I thought I was completely stuffed. The sundae arrived and I thought I would just taste it. But it turns out the sundae is so delicious that you can't just taste it. I kept eating more and more. I had to force myself to stop. Where to begin. My wife and I are steakhouse fanatics. We have been to over a dozen in Las Vegas alone and have done a ton of research on all steakhouses in the area. If you look at my reviews of them you will see that we have had many excellent dinners at most of them as you would expect given the nature of most fine dining restaurants. This was not great. We arrived exactly at our reservation time and were seated relatively promptly. A waitress came over and introduced herself and asked if she could start us off with a drink. I ordered a glass of wine and we were off. We then proceeded to wait for 25 minutes without a single person coming back to us. Not the waitress. Not another server. Not a manager. No one. 25 minutes!! We were there celebrating my wife's birthday and she and I were unhappy. We thought about getting up and leaving but I really wanted to eat her and by that time, it would have been difficult to go elsewhere at a reasonable hour. Others who came in and were seated after us were attended to and received drinks and bread and we just watched. Ugh! FINALLY, a manager came over as he and another manager? were standing nearby us most of that time talking, and must have figured out there was a problem. They asked us if there was a problem and we told them what was going on and we really wanted better service, or actually just service would be really nice. To be fair, they tried their best to turn things around. We got a different server and I finally received my wine and we got bread. I'm not sure if the original server was overwhelmed, forgot us, or what, but it was clear we had slipped thru the cracks. They ended up adding a whole bunch of apps and sides for us, but we were just 2 people and we were leaving the next day so the extra food was just a waste. Also, I like very specific things and wasn't really interested in those apps / sides to begin with. The food that we ate was just ok. My wife had oysters and she said they were fine. One important thing everyone should know before coming here is that they only have 1 steak option. You can get it for 1, 2, 3 or 4 but it is basically a t-bone so you get the filet side and strip side but all together. You can't just get a filet. You can't just get a ribeye, etc. Because of this, it presented a problem in that my wife and I like our steaks at very different temperatures. So, we got it medium rare for her and once it arrived I had to take a few pieces and have them cook it some more for my preference. Although they developed a nice crust on the steak, the flavor of it was just not great. It seamed relatively unseasoned and I'm guessing it is why they give you a large bowl of steak sauce at the table and they urge you to use that for flavor. I wasn't a fan - it was very spicy and had a horseradish taste. I did like the French fries - they were probably the best thing I had all night. Crispy outside and pillowy soft inside. They were well seasoned. We also thought the asparagus was ok. For dessert, they ended up being out a sundae for my wife but never even offered to show us the dessert menu and I would have tried one of their other desserts had they done so, as I had done my research and knew what was available. Free is nice but it wasn't what I wanted and so that was another miss. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice. It is slightly on the modern side and has a NY feel which makes sense given the original is from Brooklyn. I really wanted to like this place and we had saved it for the last night of this trip. It was very disappointing for it to not be like all the other high end steakhouses we have been to in Las Vegas. It was hard for me to decide what number to give it. The service was all over the place from the start to the end. I appreciate that they did want to make things sort of right, but in the end, the food was just ok and thus the experience was just ok, and when you are spending that much money on a fine restaurant, ok is not ok. There are so, so many excellent choices for steakhouses in Las Vegas that I cannot recommend coming here. For $49, you get a starter (including their famous thick-cut bacon), an entrée (upgrade to the Dry Aged Steak or Lobster Tail for +$30), a side, and finish with the "Holy Cow" dessert. I could get used to this power lunch thing. Peter Luger Steak House at Caesars Palace is interestingly a second attempt to import an NYC institution to this location. They took over the old Rao's spot a little over two years ago, so just navigate there or toward the buffet and you'll find it easily. I was able to sit alone at the bar on both of my visits so far. The Power Lunch menu (Wed-Fri, Sun 11:30am-3:30pm) screams good value at $49.95 a person prix fixe for your choice of three apps, seven mains (two of which carry a supplemental cost), two sides, and one dessert. Also, locals should note that the extended Sun-Thurs 25% off promo (current exp. 2/26/26) seems to be accepted. Luger's Sizzling Bacon just sounds great, and it came out extra thick as promised. It was also nicely tender and rich without being too heavy. It is served with their Peter Luger steak sauce, a fun and zesty blend that's somewhere between cocktail sauce, Worcestershire, and horseradish. The sauce is a great complement to the huge strips of pork. If you go with multiple people, this is easily shared. My inner Asian couldn't help but order the non-surcharge entree with the highest regular menu price, so my entree for the power lunch was Grilled Atlantic Salmon. The fish was generally seasoned fine and wasn't dry, but it did have limp skin at the bottom which they didn't do much with. I went with creamed spinach for the side, and it's kinda awesome. It just looks thoroughly green without any white, but it's super creamy and is served hot. You can just enjoy it solo, honestly. Dessert was a very simple sundae of some nondescript vanilla ice cream and some toppings. Only the walnuts really stood out to me. During the main course, I asked the bartender for a cocktail recommendation and eventually went with the High Five, a Botanist gin and Aperol cocktail with grapefruit, lime, and reportedly some form of sugar. It was still a little more bitter than I expected, likely from the Aperol, but it was an enjoyable sipper overall. I decided to make a return visit to try an a la carte Luger Burger ($28.95), with cheese (+$1.95) and fries (+$4.95). I wasn't actually that much happier with this burger than that salmon entree. It just felt almost devoid of juices despite coming out roughly medium-rare as I requested, and the cheese (probably cheddar) and raw onions didn't really do enough to liven it up. And the fries were so thick that they just weren't very crispy. A sauce could have made the burger a real treat, but I wasn't sure if I had that option. Based on my visit, Peter Luger does have the makings of something maybe special, but I'll have to try their steak for myself to see. Unfortunately, it seems that Caesars may be ending that locals discount as of this week, so maybe I'll have to wait for a special occasion. read more

Whole experience was awesome. The charred sides of the meat simply cannot be replicated at home without burning the entire piece of steak. They way they cut the pieces and the skill involved in cooking each piece at medium rare is actually very difficult to do. Hard to believe a porterhouse can taste this good vs a typical ribeye. Perfectly seasoned, really don't need to use their sauce at all to be honest, just something to try out. Is it the best? No it's not but it's certainly very unique. Don't forget to get your hands dirty and clean the meat off the bone. Everyone knows the meat on the bone is the tastiest. Service was very attentive. Lugar cab pairs very well with the porterhouse. Only outrageous thing is that they still refer the oil as "sauce", same as the ny one, lol. read more

Cooked a little under since the plates were hot. Perfect for me since I wanted the steaks rare and half in our party likes them more medium rare or above. Cocktails are good as well, but pricey. I'm a surf and turf kinda girl so we decided to try the crab cakes and lobster roll. Not as satisfying ad the meat, so might skip next time. Or just have one seafood thing. One thing to note, the sun! They do not have shades, so when the sun is setting, get ready to be blinded. Or get a weird tan. Honestly, this place is dynamite. Everything I had was top notch. The steak was perfectly cooked. The German potatoes were amazing. The power lunch menu was a pretty decent deal by Vegas standards. I've been to the New York location a few times and love this location in Las Vegas! Nice classic ambiance and excellent customer service where the waitstaff took care of me with precision. Went here for lunch and ordered the $49.99 lunch special w/ $30 add on to have that delicious, juicy and well cooked steak. We ordered the caesar salad to start and added the cut bacon into the salad which complemented it really well. What can i say about the steak? I have not been to every steak house in Las Vegas, but, it's the best steak I've eaten in Las Vegas! Spinach and fries was good as well. The sundae was a sweet ending. I will be back!!! read more

Had our date night here, and it was AMAZING! Best steak perfect medium rare. I liked their special sauce too. Best cheesecake, straight from New York; I liked it with my coffee. One of the best crab cakes I ever had. Everything was so delicious!!!!! Our server was exceptional:)) The only minor disappointment was the seating. I had made my reservation well in advance and, after looking through photos and reviews, was hoping to be seated in the main dining room. Since it was a non busy Monday night and there seemed to be quite a few open tables available, I was a little surprised that we were seated in the hallway area instead. I understand that we were only a party of two, so I can see why that decision may have been made, but I was still hoping for a table in a more central room.
