First we tried the Caesar's Salad and the bacon. I cut up my bacon and at it with the salad, and it was such a delicious combination. I would do this again! Next we ordered the strip steak, and it was pure, old-school steak heaven! I would probably order a different cut. I had heard great reviews regarding the creamed spinach, but I thought it was just ok. Same with the fries. I would try something else on a future visit. Finally, I wasn't super impressed with the "Holy Cow" Hot Fudge Sundae. The hot fudge didn't wow me. I wouldn't order this again. Overall, we were very happy with our visit. Come to think of it, they recently introduced a three course meal call the Power Lunch for $50.00. It's very similar to the Restaurant Week menu but there's more main entree options to choose from with Power Lunch. This restaurant is located right next to the famous Bacchanal Buffet. For our appetizers, we chose the Cesar Salad and their famous Luger's Sizzling Bacon. YES YES YES!!!!! If you're a fan of bacon, THIS IS A MUST ORDER. This isn't your plain ol diner bacon. Thick pieces, charred perfectly. You need to try this for yourself. Cesar salad was delicious as Cesar salad gets. Our main entree, we both got the Broiled Salmon. Comes with your choice of either creamed spinach or french fries. Both fantastic options. The creamed spinach pairs well with the salmon as there's not too much flavor/seasoning to it. Gives your tastebuds a bit more flavor. All I can say about the french fries is I've never tasted a fry I didn't like lol. Portions are big enough for leftovers. I love how they don't skim on your portions even though it's for Restaurant Week. As if you're not full yet...don't forget about dessert. The Holy Cow Sundae's portion was just right. Peter Luger is a steakhouse that's been famous for over 130 years, so while we were in Vegas, we had to give it a try. We decided on the Power Lunch, and it definitely did not disappoint. The service was phenomenal, and the staff was extremely knowledgeable from start to finish. Of course, I had to try the famous bacon, and let me tell you... it really is some of the best bacon you'll ever have. Don't forget to dip it in the house BBQ sauce! I'm still dreaming about that bacon. The Caesar salad was a bit mid and slightly dry for my liking. The Maine lobster tail, however, was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh. I wasn't a huge fan of the creamed spinach or the fried potatoes, even though the portions were very generous. Personally, I would've preferred a loaded baked potato instead. The steak itself was cooked beautifully and packed with flavor, though I felt the presentation could've been a little better. I was looking forward to this burger for a while after watching a Food Channel episode on best burgers and the level of craftsmanship put in for this burger. It looked very good. The steak was worth the supplement and their burger patty is top tier, and better than most other gourmet burgers on the Strip. Stopped by Peter Luger Steak House for lunch to try their famous Luger burger. The NYC location had been on my to-do list for years. When I saw it was also in Vegas, I couldn't resist trying it on my Vegas vacation. I sat at the bar and noticed there is a power lunch special. It seemed like a great deal. Three courses for $45, with one course option being the Luger Burger. My three courses were luger's sizzling bacon, the Peter Luger Burger with french fried potatoes, and the hot fudge sundae. The bacon was two thick cuts of bacon with the luger steak sauce. You can't go wrong with bacon. Of course it was good. Next up was the burger. It's a thick perfectly cooked to temperature juicy burger on a sesame seed bun. No crappy smash burger here. It lived up to expectations. I devoured it. The french fries were thicker cut crispy fries that paired with the burger perfectly. After I finished I thought I was completely stuffed. The sundae arrived and I thought I would just taste it. But it turns out the sundae is so delicious that you can't just taste it. I kept eating more and more. I had to force myself to stop. For $49, you get a starter (including their famous thick-cut bacon), an entrée (upgrade to the Dry Aged Steak or Lobster Tail for +$30), a side, and finish with the "Holy Cow" dessert. For a steakhouse of this caliber, that's serious value. And they absolutely do not shrink the portions just because it's a lunch special. We upgraded and tried both the Dry Aged Steak and Lobster Tail. The steak was perfectly sous vide, finished with a beautiful sear on one side and topped with braising butter. It truly melts in your mouth -- rich, tender, and incredibly satisfying. The lobster tail was meaty, tender, and cooked well. While the steak feels like the stronger value play, the lobster is still a delicious option. For starters, we had a Caesar salad -- creamy with a mild, well-balanced dressing -- alongside the iconic thick-cut bacon. Crispy exterior, substantial thickness, and bold smoky flavor. I could get used to this power lunch thing. Peter Luger Steak House at Caesars Palace is interestingly a second attempt to import an NYC institution to this location. They took over the old Rao's spot a little over two years ago, so just navigate there or toward the buffet and you'll find it easily. I was able to sit alone at the bar on both of my visits so far. The Power Lunch menu (Wed-Fri, Sun 11:30am-3:30pm) screams good value at $49.95 a person prix fixe for your choice of three apps, seven mains (two of which carry a supplemental cost), two sides, and one dessert. Also, locals should note that the extended Sun-Thurs 25% off promo (current exp. 2/26/26) seems to be accepted. Luger's Sizzling Bacon just sounds great, and it came out extra thick as promised. It was also nicely tender and rich without being too heavy. It is served with their Peter Luger steak sauce, a fun and zesty blend that's somewhere between cocktail sauce, Worcestershire, and horseradish. The sauce is a great complement to the huge strips of pork. If you go with multiple people, this is easily shared. My inner Asian couldn't help but order the non-surcharge entree with the highest regular menu price, so my entree for the power lunch was Grilled Atlantic Salmon. The fish was generally seasoned fine and wasn't dry, but it did have limp skin at the bottom which they didn't do much with. I went with creamed spinach for the side, and it's kinda awesome. It just looks thoroughly green without any white, but it's super creamy and is served hot. You can just enjoy it solo, honestly. Dessert was a very simple sundae of some nondescript vanilla ice cream and some toppings. Only the walnuts really stood out to me. During the main course, I asked the bartender for a cocktail recommendation and eventually went with the High Five, a Botanist gin and Aperol cocktail with grapefruit, lime, and reportedly some form of sugar. It was still a little more bitter than I expected, likely from the Aperol, but it was an enjoyable sipper overall. I decided to make a return visit to try an a la carte Luger Burger ($28.95), with cheese (+$1.95) and fries (+$4.95). I wasn't actually that much happier with this burger than that salmon entree. It just felt almost devoid of juices despite coming out roughly medium-rare as I requested, and the cheese (probably cheddar) and raw onions didn't really do enough to liven it up. And the fries were so thick that they just weren't very crispy. A sauce could have made the burger a real treat, but I wasn't sure if I had that option. Based on my visit, Peter Luger does have the makings of something maybe special, but I'll have to try their steak for myself to see. Unfortunately, it seems that Caesars may be ending that locals discount as of this week, so maybe I'll have to wait for a special occasion. read more

Whole experience was awesome. The charred sides of the meat simply cannot be replicated at home without burning the entire piece of steak. They way they cut the pieces and the skill involved in cooking each piece at medium rare is actually very difficult to do. Hard to believe a porterhouse can taste this good vs a typical ribeye. Perfectly seasoned, really don't need to use their sauce at all to be honest, just something to try out. Is it the best? No it's not but it's certainly very unique. Don't forget to get your hands dirty and clean the meat off the bone. Everyone knows the meat on the bone is the tastiest. Service was very attentive. Lugar cab pairs very well with the porterhouse. I've always wanted to go to Peter Lugers in NYC but never had the chance. As luck would have it, there's now one in Las Vegas and I happen to be there for a convention. With so many highly rated steak houses, I was debating on which to go to but ended up going to Peter Lugers as it was also close to the hotel I stayed at. I got there pretty late but there was still seating at the bar available. The service was very good and the food luckily lived up to the hype. I got the thick cut bacon and steak for one. Both were excellent and paired well with their house made steak sauce. The steak itself was full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and very tender. Peter Lugers has been open in NYC for many years, and they age their own beef and inspect each and every cut of beef that comes in. They only accept the very top of the best cuts. Steaks are broiled in thousand degree broilers and are cooked exactly to your desire. They also have their own super thick cut bacon which is not to be missed. Peter Lugers is not the cheapest place to eat, and it will take a bit bite out of your wallet, but for the special occasion when only the best will do, it's the place to go. If you're in Vegas craving for a steak I highly recommend visiting Peter Luger's Steak House at Caesars Palace. From the front just walk straight in on the right until you pass the Cashier's Table and see bar in the center floor. This establishment is family owned and only has 2 other locations one in New York and the other in Tokyo known for their dry aged steak. To get the best value come during their Lunch Hours from 11:30 to 3:30 to get their Power Lunch for $50 but I recommend upgrading to the steak for $80. If you're flying solo you can typically find a seat at the bar pretty quickly but if you have a group I'd make a reservation online prior to going. The burger is good but the dry aged steak should be why you're here. After going here twice I believe the combo to get is Sliced Tomatoes and Onions for your appetizer (add their lugar sauce and eat with your steak), the dry aged steak for your main course, and french fried potatoes for your side. You should also order at least 1 side of bacon for $10 and ask for honey and pepper to add on top. I know you're thinking why not just get the Bacon as the appetizer, but this simple combo with their house sauce eaten with the steak is an indescribale combination of flavors and textures. Other than the perfect steak, the bacon/honey/pepper combo was the most unique and flavorful bite. This $90 meal will be an unforgettable dining experience you should try at least once. We decided to try Peter Luger for the first time for a birthday dinner, and it was a decidedly "OK" experience. Reservations are highly recommended and are easily made on the website. The hostess acknowledged the birthday, but no one else did for the entire evening. The restaurant is very large and divided into several dining areas. There is a lot of table seating and very little booth seating. There is unfortunately not a lot of privacy no matter where you are seated. We had sort of a half booth in a corner which is probably the most private you can get. Our server was friendly enough, but we expected more from a restaurant of this caliber. Usually we get a welcome, an explanation of the menu, etc. We really did not receive any of these things. Water glasses also sat for long periods of time without being refilled, and the busser who cleared plates for us literally did not say a word the entire night and never smiled once. I had the black cherry margarita cocktail which was very tasty and strong with a very nice black cherry flavor. The complimentary bread was delivered without a word (i.e., no description of what the specific breads were). The bread was tasty but honestly seemed very slightly stale. We had the shrimp cocktail appetizer, and we enjoyed this. The shrimp were plump and juicy and seemed quite fresh. We also had the Caesar salad (split). The salad was also quite good with fresh croutons and a pleasant dressing that seemed quasi-genuine rather than the creamy ranch-style Caesar dressings that some places use. We were confused about ordering the steak, and we had to ask the server for help. The menu describes "steak for one, steak for two, etc." However, unlike most steak restaurants there is no explanation of what cut of meat you are getting (filet, porterhouse, etc.). The server explained the steak for two very quickly, and what I got from the explanation is that it is a combination of filet mignon and porterhouse sliced off the bone (approximately 11 slices). We decided to try it along with the German fried potatoes for the side dish. The filet mignon slices were actually quite tender. The porterhouse side was much less so, with some pieces that were actually pretty tough and hard to chew. The German potatoes were very tasty, but they were less crispy than I expected. The outer potato layer was crispy, but the interior potatoes were much wetter than I expected. The flavor was overall good, however. For dessert we had the "holy cow sundae." Ultimately, we thought "holy cow how did we pay $18.95 for this totally standard sundae?" It was a very standard sundae - standard ice cream, standard toppings, standard size. I could not see anything "holy cow" about it other than the exorbitant price. If we return, we would probably try something different and unique such as the apple strudel. So, overall this was a decent dining experience. But it fell well below the caliber we expect from a strip steakhouse. There are better choices (Prime, SW, Cut). read more

HOLY COW! Can you believe I had never heard of this restaurant?? My family took me here and told me that this is a new location and that the original is in NY. That being said, this restaurant surprised me on all levels. First off, it is a beautiful restaurant with amazing service. Second, they only serve ONE type of steak: Porterhouse. While they do offer other food, this is what they are known for and I can see why. They put a lot of love and care into their steak. Come hungry though as it is a lot of food! I also tried their Caesar salad and that too was amazing! If you have room at the end, order their Ice Cream Sundae (which can be slightly altered if you so desire). It too is fantastic! The only complaint I have is that it is very hard to find, at least for me and my family it was. That could've been just us though. Lol read more

We had our $100 celebration dinner to redeem so of course, we had to come here and have a delicious meal. Service is always good. Very attentive and love the team work. They split our salad and baked potato so that was convenient. Everything was oh so yummy! Unfortunately we had no means to do carry out. Boooooo!!! read more

Came to Peter Luger on a whim with my husband and a good friend after our lunch plans at Bacchanal didn't go through (they don't open until 2 p.m. during the week). While trying to figure out where to eat, we noticed Peter Luger just steps away... so why not? :) It's been on my list for a while, so it worked out perfectly, plus there was zero wait time We originally planned to order from their $49.95 lunch specials, which is an absolute steal for Peter Luger's, but that plan quickly went out the door and we decided to go all out and it was worth every penny! To top it off, our waiter was exceptional: attentive, professional, and made the experience seamless. Highly recommend, and I'm already looking forward to returning in the coming weeks! read more
