My 13 year old and I had a fun dad/son trip to Vegas. Stayed at Fountainebleau which was amazing, though expensive. Don's Prime was 10/10 can recommend! We spent $500 on dinner including tip, but if you are looking for that amazing steakhouse experience, it was worth it. Servers doted on my 13 year old and helped him have an amazing experience. The pull apart croissant bread served before dinner was over the top. We got a bone-in ribeye and Filet, both incredible. They had a (whole) lobster mac and cheese for a side special - we crushed it! Unfortunately OUR dining experience at Don's was a disappointment and most likely we will not be going back any time soon as it appears that this restaurant is fairly new and management clearly is NOT doing their job/taking part, that tasks are ran & handle correctly at this establishment. For starters the temperature of one of the steaks was incorrect and came out cold. You can clearly tell that this steak must have been forgotten about and sat for a while as when I put the back of my hand on the steak, it wasn't even at room temperature. It was seriously cold. Also wanted steak to be cooked medium well, not medium rare which was the case. Yes we could have sent the steak back; though as we know, we would all be eating our food while one guest was left out waiting for their food while watching the rest of us eating. Just not right, considering this is a so call high end steakhouse. Also one of our guest ordered chicken which was clearly undercooked and was not consumed. You think our servers/manager would have caught on to the fact that some of our meals had issues as you can see that our meals were hardly touched. Instead our servers asked if we were through with our meals and immediately took our plates away. Didn't even asked if we wanted a box to take our food home: Very suspicious behavior. Also salad/plate was removed from me before I could even finish my salad. Literally had fork in hand. Overall the most disappointing part of the night was when we addressed some of our concerns to one of the managers, he could have cared less, got defensive, and on several occasions interrupted me while I was talking and spoke over me. I think we all know when you are talking over someone, you are clearly not listening. I'm sorry though the management skills, or at least the manager we dealt with has no manager skills what so ever. A professional manager would have heard what the guest had to say and be concern, though in this case unfortunately this was NOT the case. Being a business owner and knowing to be courteous & calm in order to get my points across was a complete wasted effort and time concerning this manager. I then realized it was best to just leave the restaurant being disappointed. Just a horrible way to run a business. I believe the General Manager is John and I believe from what I heard he used to be a manager at the SW Steakhouse at the Wynn. I hope he takes note of this review and trains his managers to be respectful and make sure the guest leave the restaurant with a decent dining experience. In all honesty, there is a lot of room for improvement. On a good note the ambiance is amazing. Might be a little loud for some people, though overall we liked the vibe. Also the following night we did have our dinner at the SW Steakhouse in the Wynn, which was absolutely epic. Food came out PERFECT as always, the managers who poured our wine were absolutely intelligent and gave us a run down/history on the wine we were ordering, the bus boys were attentive to all our needs/request. Just overall the experience was like night and day. Really would be nice if the GM can get it together at Don's. Very nice restaurant though poorly managed. read more

This was a 75th Birthday Celebration, the location and restaurant was beautiful. It offered many beautiful photo opts with live roses and Christmas Decor. I wasn't present when our party was seated but when we arrived the three servers assigned to us were amazing. They were helpful in choosing drink orders, I chose a German white wine which was delicious. They let us know that orders would be ample in size. Ordering à la carte and sharing is a wise choice. Our table chose lobster Mac and Cheese X2 @ $98 each the presentation was 5 stars the taste 4, meaning we've had better. Pass on the crab potatoes taste was at best a 3 stars. Two family members had steak the Sirloin Strip was 5 star, the filet mignon, was a 3 star. The blue cheese salad wedge 5 star. The creamed spinach deliciously, the creamed corn was also a hit the bacon added a tasty twist , again pass on the crab potatoes overly salted would have been better taste and presentation as a crab filled baked potato. We had a 4 night stay at Fountain Blue. We were lucky enough to get dinner reservations at Don's Prime! So lucky as it was our favorite night during our stay. Lucky enough to be greeted by the general manager, John! He was so nice and treated us like regular customer's. John and our server helped us choose wonderful wines for the table. He helped us pick each entree! Everything was over the top delicious and such a big treat for my family. The ambience was luxurious and elegant. Again, we had the best attentive service making sure everything was to perfection. We had the amazing steaks and treated ourselves to several desserts. I had sent a letter to your business customer service department 5 weeks ago concerning our "experience" at your restaurant on January 27th. It is really disappointing that you have not responded, not a good customer relations approach. We were there to celebrate our 57th wedding anniversary. There is so much to love about this restaurant, it's beautiful and immersive, and the staff is charming and so on it, service-wise. It's just inexcusable that they nuked our steaks, which we requested "medium rare" on two separate occasions, only to be served something medium and too tough to really enjoy. I even specified that I'd like mine on the "rarer side of medium rare," as this happens too often at reputable steakhouses. Most everything else we had was good, but it's sad to waste great meat like this and it blows my mind that such a grand steakhouse can't cook a steak right. Worth every penny! I had been seeing videos of this restaurant since the Fontainebleau opened and was eager to try it out. My expectations were high, and Don's Prime completely exceeded them. Everything about this restaurant is gorgeous and thoughtfully designed. Most of the seating options are L-shaped booths, making them spacious yet intimate and incredibly comfortable. The service was impeccable. Our team (Benny, Erica, and Austin) worked together seamlessly to give us top notch service. We started with the gnocchi which was absolutely delicious and very sizeable - little baby gnocchi in a tomato sauce smothered in cheese. We both ordered steak, which was incredible and cooked to perfection. The au gratin potatoes were the best I have ever had. So many times the cheeses are too sharp for the potatoes but this cheese combo was the perfect compliment. We were too full for dessert but needed to try to mango sorbet and I am so glad we did! It was the perfect finishing touch to our meal. To say I loved this dining experience would be an understatement. Yes, it's expensive but for what you get and the quality it is not overpriced. It was surprisingly less expensive than many of the steakhouses we looked at in Vegas. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Vegas. read more

Had a 5:45 reservation at Don's Prime located inside of the Fontainebleau Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. We were immediately greeted by Alyssa and told we would be seated shortly. About 2 minutes later Chi told us our table was ready and escorted us over. We have now only been in the restaurant approximately 3 minutes and I was already impressed by bright genuine smiles and staff that was happy to see us. Next, we were greeted by the restaurant's in house sommelier and I apologize for not remembering her name. I told her how much I loved her suit and was informed that it was the restaurant's uniform. It's a burgundy colored velvet tuxedo with a matching bow tie. We discussed our wine options and ordered. We were then informed by the assistant manager (I don't have her name as well) that the restaurant kitchen had a small malfunction and the fire alarm had been activated. The kitchen was unfortunately closed and could not reopen until the fire department came to clear it. The restaurant didn't expect the problem to last too long and they would cover the cost of our wine at if we wanted to wait it out. We decided to wait and see if the kitchen would reopen. While we waited we had the opportunity to meet and get a know some of Don's Prime staff. John the manager came to our table to again apologize for the kitchen situation. We spoke with 1 of the 2 Brittany's about the amazing uniforms and I gave her some ideas for additional pieces that the restaurant could add for additional options that would include the hotels bow tie theme. We met Austin who was very sweet and helpful We spent time with Bailey who is currently in college and was an absolute dream. She played volleyball in hs. And loves working at Don's Prime. She has an entire world of opportunities ahead of her and I can't wait to see all the wonderful things she accomplishes. Giovanni wasn't born in Las Vegas but he was raised here. So kind and caring and I appreciate him spending time talking with us. I can't say enough good things about Isai!!! He got his pilots license at 17 when he was in high school. He's married with two beautiful daughters. Listening to his stories warmed my heart and I'm grateful to have met him. The kitchen was not able to open back up and I don't have a single complaint. How many times can you say that you went to a restaurant for dinner and had hands down the most amazing restaurant experience without even eating a meal. That's what you can expect when you visit Don's Prime. We did get to try their house bread bowl. and if their croissant bread is any indication of their food you will not be disappointed. It's was beyond delicious. In total we had 3 glasses of wine at no cost and I left with memories that will last an entire lifetime. John the restaurant manager even gave me his email because he wanted to hear more about my ideas for the staff's uniform. I didn't care for the garlicky taste of the drink but our server Brittani recommended the rum drink Quinta cox which was super yummy! She & Stacey were extremely knowledgeable on the drinks & menu. Don's Prime checks all 3 boxes, food, service and ambiance for an exquisite night out in Las Vegas. I've been there several times (I'm a local) and Don's never disappoints. The bar, cocktail lounge and dining rooms are stunning. The decor is velvet, polished silver, marble , art deco, great classic music to visually set the tone for your evening. The food is beautifully plated and carefully prepared. I especially love to nibble on their bread service with a glass of champagne. Then however they cook their shrimp cocktail it's delicious. Again, more champagne please. Sometimes they have Foley scallops. Divine and sweet as candy. The mashed potatoes are sinful but worth every calorie. I've had Dover sole and lamb chops as well ! All amazing . The service is impeccable because John the GM drives his team to deliver on excellence and strives to make every guest feel welcome and extra special. We were pleasantly surprised by just how wonderful everything was at Don's. The restaurant is beautiful, if a tad tight in the front dining area (we saw a group of four men somewhat packed together at a table with combined bench and chair seating). The background music was a nice change from some of the other Strip restaurants--jazz. Food was absolutely first rate: decadent pull-apart bread, tasty chopped salad, a truly meaty crab cake, a perfectly cooked dry-aged New York strip, and some of the best roasted mushrooms we've had. But the service was what made the evening special. Our team of servers was spectacular. Roberto, Isaiah, David, and Katie were on their A+ game throughout our dinner. They were there when we needed service, offered great advice, and added pleasant conversation along the way. Isaiah explained why he valued the restaurant as a "yes" establishment: when a customer makes a request, their goal is to make the effort to say "yes" rather than "no." Case in point: my spouse mentioned to Isaiah that she would have liked scallops as part of her non-meat dinner, but they were only listed as an add-on for the steaks. Lo and behold, Isaiah came back during the meal with a complimentary serving of beautifully prepared scallops. That was a memorable moment in what was definitely a memorable meal. read more
