The food is just okay. The evening bartender is a younger gal, who is so lazy and grumpy. You literally have to grab her attention non stop for refills and have to bus your own dishes. What I experienced when I left was what I am most disappointed with as I walked out to my car I saw our buser from the restaurant in her car (a white Saturn) smoking meth, I know this because many many years ago I was a meth user and that just reminded me of my past. This little restaurant has been a part of Marysville nearly as long as Marysville is old. The food is awesome, be prepared to need a take home box because Don's doesn't serve little portions unless you ask. They make it the way you want it! The lounge is fun, karaoke nights and always a good time at Don's. The staff, from the dishwasher, cooks, waitresses and bartenders are top notch. Going to Don's is always a great experience. My husband & I were planning to go to Red Robin, but were driving by Don's so stopped in. That was the biggest mistake ever! I thought they would be in compliance with Covid-19 phase 2 laws of Washington. Boy, that could not be further than the truth! They did have a sign posted on the door stating you must wear a mask upon entering. After seating ourselves, we were given a full sized menu (not modified for Covid). We ordered a burger. After we placed our order, other patrons seated closest to us started walking around our table walking in circles talking on a cell phone while trying to get WiFi service. No one walking thru the restaurant we're wearing masks! They kept walking right by our table. The staff never enforced the mask law. The cook (whom you could see the entire time) was not even wearing a mask or any type of face covering. Dirty salt & pepper shakers and condiments were kept on the table. I never saw anyone cleaning tables, menus or common areas the entire time we were there. The one gal that was pacing around our table, was most likely a homeless/addict. Her and her male companion had all of their belongings packed into their booth. They packed up all of their bags and walked past us two more times without masks. I was so completely grossed out by this point, I could not take another bite. I literally had goose bumped and was thoroughly repulsed! We got our bill and I was relieved to see that you could scan with your phone to pay. I did not want to touch anything else in this place! Then, to my surprise the server brings this gross "Clover" pay device to our booth and holds it almost right to my face. I said oh, I thought this was a no contact pay option. She said no and grabbed my debit card out of my hand and stuck it in the machine. Seriously?!?!?! Who does that these days!? That was the last straw! I then told her that they are required to enforce the law and insist that customers are wearing masks while walking thru the restaurant. Another thing was the bar, it was full of people all huddled together drinking and singing karaoke it sounded like. I could see right into the bar while walking to the restroom. No one inside the bar was wearing a mask while all grouped together and not at all social distancing. We had very poor service too. My skin is crawling just thinking about this horrible "experience". Well, I hate bashing places, but based off the phone call I had when I called to complain about my order... I'm pissed. We ordered the dons cheeseburger and fries and the chicken sandwich with onion rings. Everything was soggy, undercooked and tasted like straight oil. I called right away. Finally after the second attempt a man with an accent answered, confirmed it was dons and when I explained my order he told me "call Doordash, it's their fault" I explained the food was undercooked and soggy and again he said "call Doordash." He also told me that they only make 50% off their Doordash orders. Which is bull. And then when I asked for a manger he said he would pass it on to the manager himself and that I didn't need to talk to a manager because there was nothing they could do. Don's makes for a great stop off the I-5 anytime of day with it's 24 hours of operation. Their "Backroom Burger" might conjure up some wild ideas as to what they might be doing to your burger, but rest assured the burger tastes delicious. It's small town restaurant dining at it's finest. The typical locals and truckers all stop by here and there's plenty of regulars. You may notice a handful of seniors on premise due to the close proximity to the neighborhood old folks home. I figured 1300 reviews spoke for its self. Ordered 160 bucks in food for the family. Half way through eating one of the rolls my daughter noticed it covered in GREEN MOLD. Looked at our other rolls which all had obvious mold on them.. called and they said thanks for letting us know. Had no real concern and only said to contact door dash for a refund. Refund wasn't my biggest issue. My issue is being served and ingesting MOLD. showing some real serious concern would have avoided me leaving this honest review. Awful!!!! Not only was I sick right after eating there, the food was horrendous! We both had the meatloaf, which was literally just dry hamburger in a thick mound. The mashed potatoes and gravy were obviously from a package, and the nasty canned mixed vegetables were cold. If that wasn't bad enough, the only good thing was the garlic toast...but they stuck it on top of the vegetables, so it was soggy. It also took 1/2 hour to get our food, which was all reheated in the microwave, so I'm not sure why their microwave is so slow. read more

Love the strawberry shakes! Fish & chips were okay, super soggy from the oil and tasted frozen but the fries are good with the tartar. On the other hand I ordered a side of hash browns with cheese and some scrambled eggs... sadly the plastic box they were put in melted and got on my food so I couldn't eat it. My boyfriend and I were loyal customers here, we would come at least 3 times a month. Some times multiple times a week. On New Years we decided to eat here and we turned to the couple behind us and said "happy new year." He proceeded to tell us "you better turn the f around." Obviously we were shocked but we chose to continue on eating. When it was time to leave, we ended up leaving at the same time as the couple that was behind us. He got angry again and a worker I have never seen before, I'm guessing she is new, came over to us and said "I've been watching you" and then kicked us out. We are extremely confused and disappointed that this happened to us. Since we know the other workers and they know us, they even know our order. So for this new worker to kick us out after a very weird and uncomfortable experience is very upsetting and we won't be returning back again. read more

If you're looking for something fancy Don's isn't the place but if you like traditional diners you'll love Don's. The service is good and quick, the prices are low, and the food is consistently good. It's one of the few places I know where my eggs will be poached perfectly every time, the hash browns will be golden brown never burnt, and their breakfast sausage is delicious. read more

The food is decent, the patrons entertaining, I've never had anything bad, employee's always nice and will joke around with you. I've worked in customer service 9 years at age 27. I am more than understanding knowing that it's not a easy job working with the public but this morning, the heavy set blonde waitress immediately stereo typed myself and 3 other of my friends and treated us as if we weren't paying the same amount as any other customer dinning to have deserved to be served like the rest dinning. She immediately had a smug look on her face, didn't ask one of are joining friends what to drink and when we nicely flagged her two tables away instead of walking up to use kindly to ask what we needed she stopped where she was at and asked us what we wanted. Never once asked us if needed refills or how are food was. As she blanteantly laugh with every other customer and treated them as if they were paying for her deserving kind service . Right before we paid my friend went to restroom then as i was walking to use restroom also she glared as if we were going to just not pay (half the group had already paid for there food and outside waiting for us. ) At Least if you're going to treat people who are paying your bills with less service just because you are discriminating on are age or because of who are as individuals. End of her shift, I get it, but it's still a little off putting. Oncoming waitress never acknowledged me or even made eye contact, I guess I must look too cheap to leave her a tip too. We had the meatloaf special which was huge served with mash potato, choose of soup or salad and choice of bread and we also ordered #10 on the breakfast menu which is the meat trio and had Bacons , link sausage a slice of ham choice of wheat or white toast and also two eggs . After dinner we were offered desert, but we're very very satisfied and had requested coffee instead . I surges one of those take out menu to plan for your next late night dinner . I've only gone here for breakfast, and it is OK, nothing special, so you can order almost anything you can possibly want to eat and it is nothing special or out of the ordinary, but it beats fast food. Why am I writing about this then you may be asking yourself, and why not? It is a great question and one that deserves an answer. I am writing this because this is the only place I've ever come across that features a "TIP JAR" for the cooks. I am a very generous tipper, and for bad service I usually tip 10%. I tip at least 20% every time I had breakfast here but I NEVER tipped the cook. AM I WRONG??? I figure the waitress probably gets paid minimum wages, and works primarily for the tips. But a cook gets paid a cooks wages to make breakfast and I REFUSE to tip a COOK for COOKING. It would be like tipping to get your oil changed, or buying a movie ticket and tipping the guy for printing your ticket. I know that most wait staff tip other's like a bartender or hostess, but I have never heard them tipping cooks for preparing meals. That is basically it, why I reviewed this restaurant. The food is good, nothing out of the ordinary, service is good, and I leave a nice tip for it, but tipping the cook, no way, never, will not happen in this lifetime. NOTE: I have tipped in a casino in Reno that had an omelet station and he had a jar. I will tip this kind of cook that makes me an omelet in a buffet. read more

It was really weird because every once and a while we would hear this really loud cheering and clapping coming from one of the back rooms. Not sure what that was all about.
