I have been here a few times, for breakfast and lunch. Everytime I come here, they are very accommodating. The food always comes out hot and fresh. If I am in the area, this is not a place that I miss out going too. It was a great find and well worth the time to spend here.

My dad and I were in town for Spring training. The day we were flying out we just needed to have a quick lunch near the airport. I searched for reviews on Yelp, and it did not disappoint. Dontee's Diner is an unassuming building in a strip mall shopping area. Inside there is an old school counter and then a smattering of booths and tables. They have typical diner fare, with an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. The service was fast and our food got to us quickly. The portions were large, the food was delicious, and the prices were modest. My only regret is that I was there during lent and had given up sweets so I couldn't try one of their pies.

I started my Easter Sunday at Dontee's and so did many others! It is obviously well loved b/c they never disappoint. I had my usual--corned beef hash, grits, eggs and raisin toast. I love the service and the straightforwardness of the diner. Service is always fantastic (this time I sat at the breakfast counter). It was quiet, pleasant and active. I even had a great convo with a nice person sitting next to me at the counter. Can't wait till the next relaxing moment I can enjoy breakfast at Dontee's. The food their reminds me of my childhood. Another review giving it to you straight, no chaser! Enjoy!

After arriving in Palm Beach early morning, Dontee's was our first stop to get some breakfast. It is only 7 minutes from PBI, a local favorite. When we arrived we saw many locals on the restaurant, having breakfast to start their day. The restaurant has high chairs by the kitchen, bunch of booths, and tables chairs. The menu has plenty of variety between breakfast and lunch items. I got the Rueben with side of two over medium eggs. Our food came out pretty quickly. Rueben was a good sandwich with perfectly toasted white bread and beautifully cooked eggs. The service was super friendly. It was wonderful to see how nicely they treat the regular locals, checking on every table time to time and refilling the empty coffee cups.

Great local diner in west palm beach. The staff is very nice and friendly. I like my crab cake Benedict. I can actually taste crab meat. Eggs cook just right. Hash-brown is awesome. Bathroom is clean.

My favorite family owned diner in the area. Howleys lost its soul. City became too political. Dontee's is just perfect. Warm. Friendly. Great food. The menu has improved with some very interesting and creative specials. The honey Brie omelette rocks. The simple stuff, like the coffee? Outstanding. Service is first rate. Parking is easy. A few minutes to PBI if you're on your on your way there from the East side. A diner omg!

3/26/25 Stopped by Dontee's for breakfast before catching my flight back home to Kansas City. I arrived around 9:40 a.m. and was in an Uber headed to PBI Airport by 10:22 a.m. to catch a 12:20 p.m. flight. The food portions were generous, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Guests came in, enjoyed their meals, and left without lingering. The restaurant was clean and well-kept. The only downside was that the bathroom was out of service.

Our go to local breakfast spot! Family owned and it shows- the service is always exceptional. We have been here countless times. The prices are too good and quality is on point. Always hot, fresh and delicious. If you get there before 11am on a weekday they do a breakfast special with two eggs, potatoes, toast and coffee for $7 unheard of. I've also had the chorizo scramble, the California breakfast melt, biscuits and gravy (biscuits aren't dry!!), and my husband likes to get the 2-2-2, which is also a killer deal and delish. The rye bread here is so good. Coffee is nothing to write home about but it's cozy nyc diner vibes, exceptional service and good food keeps us coming back. I can't recommend this place enough.

    Late breakfast! Perfect eggs!

We sat in the wine vault and enjoyed a delicious meal. I ordered the mini lobster rolls, Caesar salad with grilled chicken, and truffle fries, while my friend had the grilled shrimp, salmon, and fries. With drinks, our total came to about $250, so it's definitely a splurge-worthy dining experience. Lauren provided excellent service and was incredibly sweet and attentive. It's a gorgeous space and one of the main reasons I wanted to celebrate there. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the setting. Throughout the meal, I had to remind the staff multiple times about items we had ordered, and service felt noticeably slow. At times, it seemed like other tables were receiving more attention, which left us feeling overlooked. While the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, it wasn't the birthday experience I had hoped for. RH Rooftop has incredible potential because the space is so beautiful, but I think the service could be more attentive and consistent to match the upscale environment. Hoping this was just an off day.

It quickly became clear why the drinks receive high praise! They were indeed delightful and well crafted. However, my experience with the food left much to be desired. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, which were topped with a creamy sauce. Unfortunately, the dish did not meet expectations, falling short in flavor and presentation. I would rate them a mere two out of ten. Additionally, we tried the oysters, which were disappointingly bland. Even with various toppings, they lacked the fresh vibrant taste one hopes for when enjoying oysters. Regrettably, both dishes missed the mark for me so I decided not to order more food and go somewhere else. On a positive note, our server was exceptional friendly, attentive, and accommodating, which helped enhance our overall experience. The restaurant's ambiance was mature and inviting and its location is indeed impressive. Despite the high ratings and popularity, I found the food lacking, which makes me hesitant to return. While I appreciate the quality of the drinks and the warmth of the service, the culinary offerings did not live up to the hype considering the basic dishes I ordered. Go for drinks only!
