At this tiny and casual Dunkin' Donuts spot in Milpitas, CA, it's a very self sufficient place. Order online or on app to pick up, or order at kiosk or front counter, but don't expect much service when picking orders/grab and go. It's nothing like those larger locations with great customer service in person. You will feel automation here. Convenient location and yes, it has the drive thru lane as desired. Plenty of parking all around the public lot. Dining inside can get tight or crowded during rush times. Small place for sure, but you can sit around if you like. Employees usually mind their own business and get orders ready at the counter. I never had any problems with service yet. Staffs are usually helpful if I needed anything more. 4/5 rating for the $14.99 special Valentine's Day/seasonal special donut holes in the pink colored heart shaped tin box. I wish they would have placed a piece of paper or tray inside the tin box before tossing those varieties of donut holes inside. It could have helped kept the tin box much cleaner and looking great. I really like these special occasion items. They also currently sell the big heart shaped donuts now. Love most Dunkin' Donuts beverages and donuts. If you want deals, definitely use the app to browse and order in advance. Get an extra 100 points on Mondays only (via app) to redeem rewards for foods in future. They always have good value offerings and bonus points to earn, but you need to check in advance. Overall, this Dunkin' Donuts location is a good addition to the walkable neighborhood and parks nearby. Convenient. They just take longer fulfilling orders daily. Never really grew up with Dunkin having been born and raised in the SF Bay Area. First Dunkin in the SF Bay Area opened around 2016 in Walnut Creek. Another one in 2017 near SFO, I would always see it as I drove past it. Fast forward to the South Bay locations, a Sunnyvale location opened several years ago, and more recently now we have one in Milpitas. I'm just more used to going to local Cambo/Viet donut shops, or Krispy Kreme. Kind of want to like it, kind of don't. Their large iced coffee is over $5, when you can get the same thing for $0.99 from McDonald's (use the deal in the app). The rewards system for Dunkin isn't that great. There are rarely any daily deals. Their "best" one is to get a $6 breakfast combo, which is a medium coffee (not even a large), some breakfast entree, and their little hashbrown bites. It appears they do have better selections of different drinks though. The employees are chill, though sometimes they don't really interact with customers or even announce orders when they're ready for in-store pickup. They'll literally just leave it on the counter and walk away without saying anything. I don't even know what Dunkin's west coast strategy is. We have plenty of mom and pop donut stores in our town that are waaaayyy more delicious. They sell coffee too.. Every time I visit this dunkin donut I am always disappointed. The service is terrible and the food is gross and the coffee is okay. In the 15 mins I was in store the staff screwed up two customers orders. They implied that I wanted a sandwich that I didn't pay for (they can't read apparently it was an online order that printed in front of them) the lady at the front was threatening and loud. So this location has a drive through which is nice however today I decided to come inside to check it out. I was impressed with the inside donut display and sitting area. There were about 4 employees working. This one customer was taking forever to place her order so another employee helping the drive through took our order instead. Thought that was nice and maybe it would be faster that way. I don't know if they forgot we were waiting but it took a hot minute to get one drink. When asked about the drink to get an update it had been sitting on the side ready for who knows how long. They never called out the order and we were left waiting unnecessarily. This Dunkin' is the one closest to work, and since it's opened I try to take advantage of their coffee + breakfast items meal deals (usually $5 or $6). I don't usually get a donut unless it is part of some sort of offer as theirs are not my preferred kind. They are usually not very busy for the drive thru between 6:30-7a.m. when I go, so I have been able to get my items quickly. The iced coffee occasionally has been extra bitter but the breakfast sandwiches typically are well made. When they first opened they often did have unavailable items, but that seems to be less of an issue lately. However, sometimes some food items have been burnt which I don't realize until I look into the bag after driving away. Hence, the 3 star review. I'll still keep going to this location for the deals as it is a convenient and relatively inexpensive breakfast option. read more

This is the worst drive through ever. I sat in line for almost 15 minutes. The person in front ordered hot coffee, they gave her an iced one. So they had to start over. The guy behind me had to get out of his car, he had a mobile order that was ready 10 min prior. There were multiple workers and only one seems to be working. I don't normally stop for breakfast but this morning I was really hungry. I ordered the eight dollar combo special with a bagel sandwich a coffee and hashbrowns. Everything else is very high priced. They got my order wrong. They gave me a croissant sandwich and then the hashbrowns were four or five little pieces of dried up hard hashbrowns. I was really excited to get their coffee but unfortunately they didn't have enough flavors.. so I just purchased half a dozen and I noticed they seem a little different from other Dunkin' Donuts ones. Jelly doesn't have sugar around it which is they do. Glazed seems a little not right, my niece tasted it she said it was okay. Glazed Chocolate downs doesn't have much glazed. Boston Creme was okay. This Dunkin' location is great for being next to the freeway and close to home for me. Been here three different times and I believe two is a fair score. Like many others who reviewed, for some reason, there's an unusual wait time when ordering anything that's not donuts. The most recent trip was this past Sunday around 10:45 am. Ordered two breakfast wraps and some tater tots. We were the only people inside. The wait was excessive compared to any other Dunkin' I've been too. Before driving off, we did a bag check, no tater tots. Parked and went inside to retrieve the tots. Soggy tots, soggy wraps, maple bacon was hard jerky teeth pulling texture. Today, I went back to tell them how bad it was -- they were polite enough to remake it, but it was still awful. Not to mention my breakfast sandwich was just as bad and really bland too. The cheese wasn't melted either. Do they not heat food up before serving? The only good thing was my drink. Wanted to give this place a try, their iced coffee is more expensive than Starbucks and it was mostly ice with very little actual coffee. They basically filled up the entire cup with ice, which is absolutely not necessary to chill the coffee. We were initially excited for this place to open up and for our neighborhood to get more lively, but now seeing how low quality and low value the drinks are we can't wait for it to continue to get poor reviews and close down so some other quality shop can replace it. Located in the Park Town Plaza Shopping Center in Milpitas, you can feasibly hang here while your dog is getting groomed at Sharon's K-9 Classics or just hang here while you clear your mind before going to work! Ordered 6 donut holes and an old fashioned glazed with white frosting and sprinkles on top. I forgot they do breakfast because...well, I'm not familiar with Dunkin' at all. I'll have to try their breakfast items when I am getting my dogs groomed. The donut holes were chewy and had the right amount of sugar glaze on them. The doughnut wasn't an old fashioned plain (which I prefer), but it was an old fashioned yeasted donut, glazed with vanilla frosting and sprinkles. It was delicious!
