I recently came across this shop during my morning commute to work. I've only been here a couple times but every experience so far has been good. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. The inside is always clean and organized--even the counter that's off to the side where the sugar, creamer, napkins, etc. is located is tidy. As far as what's in stock, a wide array of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and plenty of good looking donuts and baked goods. I haven't tried any of their specialty donuts yet but every time I check out the glass case I always see the cinnamon toast crunch, lemon blueberry and orange circle flirting with me. Since I'm usually half asleep coming here, I get a large Vietnamese iced coffee and a plain croissant or chocolate bar. The coffee is sweet, smooth and delicious. It's definitely not too strong or bitter but it hits the spot perfectly. One day I'll try their sandwiches. I got my eye on that chicken salad! I ordered a dozen of their handmade donuts and they did NOT disappoint. Definitely recommend cutting the donut as in half and splitting them with friends so you can try all of them. I tend to go down to Sidecar, but I didn't have the time so I called Simon and desperately needed donuts for the post office and the UPS store located by Nifty the business I own and operate and is half a block from Donut Hub. Donut need to ask...it's no secret...this is the best priced specialty donut shop around! If they're out, they will make to order whichever flavor you want, and quickly too. Selling for 1/2 the price as those other gourmet bakeries with all the hype that don't live up to it. This place though, worth every penny! We ordered 4 donuts, and they threw one extra in there for free! They made us the Triple Berry fresh since they were out, and it was amazing...soft, warm, and with a three berry blend glaze, then topped with blueberries. The other two blueberry donuts were also very good! I wanted to try so many more, but we're gonna pace ourselves. Haven't tried their donuts yet. I've stopped by in the early mornings before work two times so far and the items I've gotten were delicious! I got a works burrito which was savory with crispy bacon accenting the flavor in there. The next day I got a warm ham and cheese with jalapeño pastry and oooh wee it hit the spot for a morning pick me up. I also got a Thai tea with boba, the boba was different from what I've had before and was more brown than the usual black color, but it was still delicious and honey flavored. I ordered a dozen or so croissants and donuts early in the morning, and although my request was quite late, they did their best to fulfill it. They also threw in a few donut holes on top of my dozen order of donuts, which was a nice gesture. This donut shop can be found sharing a strip mall with other Yelp faves such as Tabi-Ji and Brew Hawg BBQ. Then another fave of mine, not too far away is Sammy's Stackhouse. But enough about dining options, let's talk doughnuts. These round goodies are straight FIRE! Melted in my mouth at room temperature - how could they do that though? Exaggeration? Embellished opinion? Nope! I just bit into one and it began to quickly evaporate while I slowly extracted the subtle layers of sugar laced in the dough and glaze. It's hard to explain, but simple to devour. Lemon Blueberry - A crowd favorite. Delicate. Pretty. Fresh blueberries on top of a lemon glazed donut to balance the sweet & sour theme throughout. VERYummy. Chocolate Madness - The husband's fave. Chocolate glaze, choc chips, choc cake, and chocolate filled. An overflowing mini dose of chocolate. To him greatly insane. Butter Croissant - Large, soft, still fresh in the afternoon! Flaky but not messy. Sea Salt Caramel - This was my favorite glaze of all. The perfect unique mixture of butter (is there butter in it?) caramel and sea salt, unlike any sea salt - caramel glaze I have sampled elsewhere. Sprawled over a soft, pillowy, not-so-fancy, plain appearing doughnut. Just great all around. A Vietnamese Iced Coffee was also purchased, it was good. The owner/baker has a finesse for communication. Eye contact and verbal acknowledgment grabs you quick. She also dives into details of each donut/pastry and provides helpful suggestions. I stopped by this place for the 1st time last Friday on my way to work. I got there around 7:30AM. The shop was easy to find from the main street and there was plenty of parking space. Inside was very clean and there was 2 people working the counter Who were both very friendly. All the donuts looked pretty fresh and taking a look at their menu they even offered other items like breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, coffee, etc. I ordered 3 gourmet donuts and the total was $6.50. They do not have a traditional cash register. They have the pay system that is similar to an iPad where you stick your debit card in and then sign with your finger. The 3 donuts I bought were the cinnamon toast crunch donut, that hibiscus berry donut, and the chocolate Smore's donut. I did not get to try the cinnamon toast crunch donut or the hibiscus berry donut as they were for 2 of my coworkers. But the chocolate Smore's donut was for myself and I must say it was absolutely delicious and actually very filling. I like the chocolate and marshmallows as a great addition and the donate it's self was huge. My 2 coworkers said they both enjoyed their donuts as well. Sadly, Crumbs in Orange used to be my neighborhood friendly donut place until they closed. Our office was craving some "hole" foods on National Donut Day and luckily I was able to find Donut Hub based on the recommendations and the reviews of other Yelpers. First and foremost, I know you can get donuts anywhere. They aren't a particularly unique food but what sets Donut Hub apart from the others is the warm service you'll receive. The lady behind the counter was very sweet and honestly, took the time to chat with me about my day while she was preparing my dozen. Their donuts are also pretty great. My favorite was their cereal glazed donuts. Even though I requested a mixed dozen, she was gracious enough to include a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal donut and a Fruit Loops cereal donut both of which were hits in the office! The donuts tasted very fresh as if they were just made which was also great. In addition to donuts, they also offer lunch sandwiches too. Let me start by saying..... I am a donut SNOB. This is the best donut shop I've ever been to in Orange County, and might be the best damn donut spot I've ever been to period. They have specialty donuts (which are fantastic and absolutely worth the extra $1.50), but also the usual normal donuts. Even the normal donuts are fantastic! They're always baked fresh in the morning and super soft. What makes this spot even better is the owners! The husband who owns the spot is the sweetest dude ever and always super attentive. Donut I liked it. I'll go back. Want to know a little more, keep reading. I've seen some hype brewing for this spot and thought I'd check it out. I stopped by on a Saturday morning around 10am and it wasn't crowded at all. Maybe I missed the morning rush? It's very similar to a lot of donut shops- donuts, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, coffee. Even the refrigerator with sodas and boxed milk. However, it does rise above most of them. The inside is very nice and clean- there is a clean/modern/minimalist style inside that I liked. They had free samples sitting out of one of the "premium" donuts. The employees working seemed nice and were ready to help as soon as I walked in. I took a few minutes to check out the menu. They have one case full of standard donut flavors and the other case has "premium" style favors. I went with a mix of both. Some of the "premium" flavors with tons of ingredients on top looked very good, but I wasn't sure about the taste so I passed on the more involved creations this time. Whenever it's my first time at a place that sells something that everyone likes, like donuts or pizza, my attitude is "impress me with the basics." I did grab a lemon and tiramisu since they were less involved "premium" donuts, but did have a nice presentation. The good news- almost everything was good. The donuts themselves are fresh, soft, and very tasty. They nailed that. Impressed with the basics was an easy check. All the basic flavors were great. The pink sprinkle donut had a nice strawberry flavor to it. I'm looking forward to trying the other sprinkle flavors. I didn't love the tiramisu- it wasn't bad, it just wasn't impressive. It was more of a custard filled donut with whipped cream. If I didn't know it was called tiramisu, I never would have guessed based on the flavor. The lemon was good- great look and taste. But be warned, it's real lemon. It's tart and has lemon zest so if that's not your thing, it might be too intense. Think less Sidecar and more modern upgraded version of your classic donut shop. And that's totally fine. It left me wanting to go back and get more classic flavors and be a bit more adventurous with the "premium" flavors. If you're in the mood for donuts, check this place out. Friendly service and good food. And they're open until 8pm so you can stop by after work. I really like the effort to go next level here and appreciate the friendly service.
