The food in this photo cost $14.00. This is shameful. I don't know what else to say. Maybe Donut King is better for other dishes but I'm finished supporting them. Talk about shrinkflation.

Accepts cash and credit card. Tons of free parking in the shopping center. I've driven past this shop multiple times and decided to give this place a try. First off, customer service is great. The staff who works there was very friendly and nice! I ordered an assortment of donuts since it was my first time. Would recommend their stuffed donuts such as the lemon stuffed donut. Their donuts were fresh even though I came towards the end of the day. They also serve drinks and sandwiches there. They also have tons of cookie options. Will definitely return here in the future. Prices are reasonable. If you are in the area for some sweet treats, this place is a good option.

Ordered donuts on grubhub. Very smooth process on the app, however it was challenging finding the powdered donuts at first we found it. We received our donuts shortly before excepted so definitely fast service. The donuts were really good. The apple fritter was my favorite of them all. Good balance of apple and donut plus the texture was perfect! The blueberry donut was delight, light, and fluffy. I would definitely recommend this spot for a good donut.

As a self certified, international donut, connoisseur, sommelier, aficionado I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit a donut spot local to where I had an appointment. Of course, I hit yelp for suggestions and landed on donut King. It was pretty easy to find. It was relatively good parking as I went at prime lunch hour. If you are a donut connoisseur, such as myself, this is not the place for you. I tend to stick to artisan donut bakeries where all they do is donuts because I know the quality will meet my expectations and my visit to King reinforced that perspective. When I got there, there weren't many left so I chose the mini donuts, the lemon, and a powdered doughnut. These are clearly not being made in house. They were absolutely basic. The lemon in the jelly donut was the traditional gelatinous goo. The miniature donuts are very very light and melted in your mouth so quick it's like you weren't even eating anything. The powdered was thoroughly uneventful. I would not recommend this if you want really really good donuts and I definitely won't be back.

So, it's been a baker's dozen years since I last reviewed this place and I feel I need to give it a most deserved update. The place has been modernized, but because of COVID there is no dining inside. I don't recall there being tables outside, but you wouldn't want to eat outside because the entrance is right up to the parking lot and when I was there there was a guy asking for money. I didn't give him any because there is a liquor store nearby. I did give him a donut though. They have a pretty expensive breakfast menu, but who are you kidding. I came for the donuts. It is Donut King, after all. I bought sugar twists donuts and cakes donuts. I got an apple fritter for breakfast the next day, and a scone (pictured) for my tea time. Loved what I had so far! I will have to make a return when they are fully open. Maybe sooner for more donuts to go.

Eight incredibly fresh donuts to go: raspberry filled, Bavarian cream filled, Boston Cream, chocolate iced and a chocolate cake (wrapped).

You cannot imagine the joy when I realized that I was going to pass Donut King in Wheaton on my way home from a doctor's appointment. Donut King makes the best donuts. The Raspberry Jelly filled are light as air. The Donut shop is a half of a full Breakfast and Lunch Grill with moderate seating. The servers are kind and quick. I wished I lived closer!!!

I stopped here randomly as I was in the area. Very quick and friendly service. The steak egg & cheese croissant I got was very good. I paired it with a regular cup of coffee. I will definitely stop in again if I am back in this area and want a quick bite.

This is such a great local staple for us. We're so lucky to have a good place to get coffee and breakfast and of course donuts and treats. They are nice and well priced. There's rarely a wait.

I liked this place when I walked in because it seemed like it could become a regular place since I live nearby. When I ordered the breakfast Reuben sandwich, I thought - ok it doesn't have sauerkraut, but I can overlook that. But then I opened it up and it didn't have meat?! For almost $7 that seems crazy I just got toast with egg and cole slaw. It was soupy and gross. Disappointed :/

    Assorted goodies from Donut King!

Donut King, how do I love thee? I love Donut King in the morning, for egg sandwiches and other tasty breakfast treats like french toast and pancakes. I love Donut King in the afternoons for all kinds of savory sandwiches and desserts. But there's nothing better than a Donut King donut and a hot cup of coffee, any time of day. My favorite is the sour cream donut and a cuppa black joe. Sometimes I just get a bag or two of goodies to spread out over the next few days. Add to that the fact that Donut King is local and family-owned, there's no reason not to visit often!

I've been on a quest to find a non-chain donut shop that not only has delicious donuts but is also consistent in quality. I came across Donut King and figured I'd give it a try. I'll admit after seeing the photos online I walked into this situation not expecting to be wow'd however I wanted to give them a try after seeing their Honey Dipped (Glazed) donuts in photos. Long story short, their donuts are what you would expect from an old-fashioned, old school coffee, breakfast and sandwich shop. They give you all of the traditional donut flavors and I even saw donut twists. The donuts were OK. I was expecting more from the glazed donut which was a bit dry and lacking icing considerably which brought the dryness of the donut and the overall lack of sweetness of the donut itself to the forefront. The other donuts I tried in the photos were OK. I arrived around 10:45am to which I expected to find a good amount of donuts available and fresh in quality. Virtually all of the donuts they sell were available on showcase. Customer service was warm and friendly however that is with me being overly friendly to get some personality out of the cashier. I think for the price this donut shop is worth it. Certainly I'll give them another try if in the area.

This place is awesome. Super consistent food at totally reasonable prices. Can get a little busy in the AM but worth the wait.

Really solid four stars and a strong recomend fora cozy, relaxed and casual dinner with your partner, freinds, yourself or family. The only note is parking in their lot is nigh impossible some times, so your best bet is to find street parking nearby and drop anyone who can't walk all that far. If you don't drink they seem to have a limited NA beer selection, and I didn't see any mocktails. We really liked our beet salad and our Ceasar salad, which came out os fast, I wonder if they already had them prepped. I really liked my fish and chips as it was a nice portion and wasn't heavy on the frying at all. It was very well done and the tartar sauce was great. My wife got the (I think it was a special) Tuna poke for her main, which she said was really tasty. But, it also looked like a small portion in one of those weird plates that only had a modest divut in the middle for food. Nonetheless, she liked it a lot. If it becomes a mainstay, they just need to make it a bigger portion on a better bowl. We're happy we finally came and will return.

The brussels sprouts were a standout to start, and the mussels in the coconut curry had a rich, well-balanced flavor. I also really enjoyed the grilled Faroe salmon with the butternut squash purée--it was cooked perfectly. The steak frites with the red wine mushroom reduction glaze was another favorite and definitely worth ordering. For drinks, I tried the Cherry Blossom "Another Trip Around the Sun" (a seasonal cocktail available through April 12th), along with the brown sugar old-fashioned and the lavender French 75. All three were well-made and complemented the meal nicely. Overall, this is a solid spot if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere, good food, and quality cocktails. I'd definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a reliable dinner spot.

The bad news is that the coffee was terrible. Weak, not much flavor. I did something I have not done with coffee - I threw it out. For $3.89 for a large cup at a bagel shop, I expected more. Just awful. I don't know if it was the brand of coffee or just a bad batch. There's half and half available, but no other milk/non-dairy options. There are 4 very small tables in the place for standing only. Based on pictures I've seen on Yelp, they used to have a few tables there for sitting. I came today hoping to sit for a few minutes and enjoy a bagel with coffee. Not here. Finally, I ordered and the person who prepared my bagel called out my number and put the bag on the counter. I checked my ticket, confirmed the number, went to take it and another worker (the guy who took my order) ran over, grabbed the bag, asked me for the number and told me it wasn't mine. Then he asked the other person what the number was, she said my number and then he dropped the bag on the counter and told me I could take it. Weird experience. There were only two people waiting for orders at the time - not a huge opportunity for a mixup. Just weird. So, I recommend the place for take-out but skip the cup of Joe. There also are two different prices based on whether you want BBQ + sushi with your buffet. (Sushi??? I'll stick to BBQ when going Brazilian.) I tried to sample small amounts of the dishes on the buffet and then got some picanha and another steak cut (maminha). Both BBQ cuts were very good - I liked the maminha more. (Fraldihna is my usual favorite, and it's kind of similar to the maminha.). They had a chicken with capers that was probably my favorite of the buffet dishes. The stroghanoff wasn't bad. Some of the other meat dishes on the buffet were a bit dry. I got a mystery empanada which turned out to be guava & cheese, if it had been warmed it would have been better. I love guava, but there was just a little small rectangle of guava paste in the very center; probably 80% of the empanada had no filling. Similarly, the cheese bread balls were cold and hard. Those need to be right out of the oven to be worth it. It's a shame, they probably were good when they were first made but they weren't by the time I got to them. The potato salad was ok but the balance of mayo to potato & other veg was off (too much mayo). I had some fresh fruit too. All in all, I'd definitely come back (I love the steak!) but I'd focus on the things I know are good rather than trying a lot of things.
