The doughnuts here are quite tasty. I like a thicker cake doughnut and this place fits the bill. My most absolute favorite here is the ham and cheese croissant. The employees (which are probably the owners) are always very nice and typically remember you and what you like to order after just a few trips. Pretty awesome donut place! I spent about 100 dollars here for client meetings and it was worth it. The owner is awesome. She was very friendly and got my order right. Maybe it was because I just spent $100...maybe it was because she is nice....OR maybe it could be both! I had a good 10 minute wait for my order but saw many regulars come in, which tells you that they know how to serve donut. The breakfast sandwich they sell here isn't bad. This morning I had a few errands to run in pleasant hill. I told my boys if they did a good job we would grab a donut. They were super excited. I googled the nearest donut place (since I'm not familiar with the area) and donut king came up. When I got there it was a clean and light environment. A lady came out to help, she was very friendly! When it came time to pay they told me they only take cash (I saw the sign after I ordered. My fault, not theirs). I was bummed because I only had a debit card. So I told the lady I would have to cancel the order. This lady was amazing. She asked if I had kids and I told her yes so she gave me my order and told me not to worry about it ! When I told her it was okay she insisted and was very kind. Guys, I was so humbled! My kids were so excited to get their donuts lol. I will be returning with enough to cover my bill and pay it forward to the next. The prices were somewhat high because they had hefty fees for the premium doughnuts (e.g. fritters). They do score points for using fresh oil and not logging their doughnuts with grease or burning them though. To be honest, I like their donuts and burritos, they are really delicious. The only reason that stopped me is a lady who has an Asian face ( maybe Filipino ). I was trying to get coffee with one of my friends, and I thought the coffee is $1.5, but after she charged, I asked her why she charged me way more than $1.5 plus tax. After she heard my question, the expression on my face made me feel particularly uncomfortable. She looked at me with an incredible eye and said: " OMG, no, no, no, those prices are when you bring the same cup come back and get coffee the same day's price!" If she just stops here, it was fine. Unfortunately, she didn't. She was laughing with another customer about this. Yes, I was sorry about I didn't pay attention to the price, but is it necessary to laugh at other people because of this? As a customer, I feel great disrespect. If she changes her attitude and only politely tells me that I have read the wrong price, then I will not complain, even I will apologize for my mistakes. Anyway, I won't go there anymore. So many places have good, even better donuts, also there are many shop owners who understand how to treat customers, especially old customers. I just went for the first time. Love the doughnuts and the staff! But I will never go back because someone tried to break into my car in the five minutes I was in the store. There was two patrons in the store and no one told me someone was trying to break in. I came back out to find my driver's side lock broken. I was parked right in front in clear view. i was directed here by my 6year old, no joke! he said "It's next to 'Sports'!"(as in Play it Again Sports). He was right! anyway, it's mostly your standard Asian mom & pop-style place in a strip mall. it's smallish, the customer service is great, and the donuts were yummy and tasted fresh. a good number of ppl coming in and out on a Saturday morning too, a good sign. :) prices were extremely reasonable and they had an extensive selection of coffee, which i thought was really nice! the only reason why i'm not giving it 5 stars is because they don't take anything but cash. i'm not sure if there is a "Cash Only" sign at their door (i didn't notice, but i wasn't exactly looking for one) so i had to go to grocery outlet in the strip mall to get a couple things and some cash back. however, overall i'm very happy with the place-- a great neighborhood donut place with decent prices, all your standard donuts and pastries, and lots of flavors of hot coffee. read more

I wasn't impressed when I tried a few years ago. I wasn't impressed when I bought some yesterday either. I bought donuts at around 1130am, and went home to enjoy. They tasted like they were a day old and the texture was tough, like they were stale. I also wasn't a fan of their cash only policy, but it's their store, their rules.
