Wow the shrimp toast (which was on a Chinese donut) was special! Service was very attentive. Prices were reasonable. Nice, clean, bright restaurant. Stumbled on this restaurant via Yelp. Yelp never fails. Will come again when visiting Walnut Creek.

Pork soup dumplings were exquisite!

Wow, I remember loving this place the last time I went which was about four years ago. I just went today with a group of friends and we were not impressed. All the dumplings seem like they were too thick. The crab Rangoon's were just almost to the point of being inedible because they had been fried way too long, same with the potstickers. In fact, I'm looking at the pictures. I took four years ago and the crab Rangoon's were perfectly lightly deep-fried instead of how they were today which was way too deeply fried. It was difficult to get a server to bring you water. The chive potsticker was just way too thick, a ball of dried chives in a thick potsticker. Shu mai also dry. The soup dumpling was OK but once again the dumpling part was way too thick. The egg custard crust was good but the custard inside was a congealed ball not creamy. I was just really disappointed and to spend $130 for lunch and to go away disappointed was not fun plus I had told my friends about it and they were so excited and it just wasn't good anymore. Hopefully it was just a bad day.

Food: We ordered chicken feet, pan fried shrimp fat noodles, and steamed wrapped tofu skin. The taste is pretty good, with wok qi for the pan fried noodles. C sicken feet is a little puffy, over steamed. Ingredients inside the tofu skin is generous. Pro: especially likes how they makes our lunch more interesting by bringing over suggested dim sums for customers to choose, just like the traditional ones where they push dim sum carts around, you get to choose from display of real food. Ambience: definitely on the older side, no fancy decorations. Service: 5 star excellent service from all servers

Because order took too long to receive I rated them two stars, although the food was really good. I ordered through Postmates and the driver kept me up-to-date but my one entrée took very long to complete and arrived about 20 minutes late. I ordered this scrambled egg, chow fun and it was pretty good, but just service was lacking because of the delay. I may consider trying them again, but who knows

Stopped by Creek House Dim Sum and overall it was a solid experience. The food was definitely tasty, didn't blow my mind, but still really enjoyable and satisfying. Service was smooth and attentive, and the ambiance had a nice, clean, modern feel that made it a comfortable spot to dine. Prices felt reasonable for the area and quality. Would come back again when I'm in Walnut Creek. Overall I give this restaurant a solid 4/5 stars.

Really tasty food, super friendly staff and a traditional atmosphere. We went to dinner on a Sunday night with a group of 4. The restaurant was pretty busy but we had a reservation and were seated promptly. We were given water and a chance to check out the multiple menus. We ordered some dim sum, some noodles, entree dishes and desserts. The food came out at a nice pace and everything was really good. Standouts - salt and pepper chicken wings, sizzling rice soup, shrimp dumplings were all great. The space is very large and great for having a party of a big family or work dinner. Will certainly come back!

Found this spot on Yelp and I did a takeout order for some dim sum. It's a nice spot near the Mercedes dealership in Walnut Creek. Plenty of seating inside and the hostess was friendly when I picked up my order. The dim sum I order was tasty, I love to try Chinese places that serve dim sum and I must say this is a good spot if you're craving dim sum in WC.

Creek House Dim Sum Restaurant is located in a strip center across the street from Mercedes-Benz of Walnut Creek, occupying the space previously used by Shanghai Gourmet. My buddy Geroge F. invited me to a dim sum brunch here on 03/08/2025. At 10am, we were their first customers of the day. The staff greeted us immediately, and we were seated in a booth on the right side. The interior was clean. No changes were made to it since my last visit here pre-COVID. Tea was brought to us promptly. Ordering was done on a paper menu, which featured a wide array of dim sum fare. We ended up getting seven items - har gow, siu mai, steamed spareribs, steamed chicken feet, pan fried daikon cakes, baked ube buns, and roast duck. Our food started to arrive in about 10 minutes. The dim sum items were pretty solid. I especially loved the baked ube buns. They were light and fluffy, and the ube custard filling was right on. The roast duck, however, was atrocious. It appeared they used deep-fried day-old roast duck and served it as regular roast duck. The appearance was somewhat comical and disturbing at the same time. It seriously looked like it had been exposed to a heavy dose of radiation. Service was alright. A couple servers refilled our tea and water several times. Pricing was on the high side comparing to restaurants in Oakland and the South Bay. For Contra Costa County, this is a good dim sum option, especially if you don't want to drive to Oakland or down Hwy 680. Just make sure you don't order their roast duck. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4 because of their service and convenience. Mahalo to George for the outing! BONUS MATERIAL: - $1.99 tea charge per person. - 18% gratuity for parties of five or more people. - $2 charge for split check.

I was looking for a good dim sum spot and my brother had suggested this place. So I decided to try it out. He mentioned that the way is usually long on a Sunday given that a lot of families tend to come here after church. Parking wasn't too bad when we arrived. We put our name on the waitlist and the host told us it would be a 10 minute wait. We waited 15 minutes which wasn't that long. There were several tables and it was very busy inside. The only thing I missed was seeing a person walking by with a cart full of different varieties of dumplings. Unfortunately this wasn't that type of dim sum restaurant. We ordered a few items which is a bit pricey compared to other places. My favorite was the sticky rice in a leaf (I forgot the name of it). There wasn't anything that really stood out from what I remember. The service was ok. It was a little difficult to get a servers attention. Aside from that, I'll have to come back. Anyway, will definitely return to try other items on their menu.

This has been on my list for a while since moving to the East Bay. Great ambience and very open dining room. There was no dish that really stuck out to me but I can say this will be a nice place to have in my back pocket for my dim sum cravings. Chinese broccoli and the BBQ pork buns were my top picks from here. Close runner up is the pork fried rice. Would recommend!

Solid dim sum up in walnut creek area Lots of asians here so must be a good sign haha It has solid cheung fun and har gao which are the staples Service was not bad for dim sum Parking may be hard but down the lot frees up a bit

bunch of take out dim sun LOL

I am a real sucker for mom and pop Chinese restaurants and this place really rocks. Yeah, it's not as refined or elegant as the high end dim sum restaurants in Dublin BUT it isn't as expensive and you don't have to wait in line to get a table. Honestly, if I lived in the Tri Valleys I would eat here regularly. Here is how it scored: Baked Char Siu Bau: 5/5 it is as good as it gets Shu Mai: 5/5 big fresh with a delicate skin Har Gow: 4/5 good but not great Pot Stickers: 4/5 at least they were hand made and not frozen Soy Sauce Chow Mein: 3/5 needed more soy sauce. Yes, do eat here. They are a genuinely nice couple.

Nice and crunchy skin. Great flavor.

The BBQ pork buns, shu mai, potstickers, and especially the turnip cakes were all super good. The combination fried rice was delicious, not oily at all, and the portion size was very generous. We also ordered the General Chicken, salt and pepper fish, mapo tofu, and Singapore noodles. We definitely ordered enough for very hungry people, and still had plenty left to take home. The space itself is very welcoming and open -- clean, comfortable, and not overly stuffy. The servers were attentive, friendly, and genuinely kind throughout the meal. Special shoutout to Vivian for letting us know what pepper was in the shakers because that crushed white pepper was seriously so tasty also for being so sweet, made our experience 20/10

They have the basics and then some, which is more than good with me! We went here recently for my dad's bday and another time two weeks later with just my husband and I. Ordered a few dim sum items but ordered off their main entree menu which we haven't done before. Here's what we ordered: Siu Mai - it was delish! This isn't always created equally. lol some places it almost looks like they served frozen store bought siu Mai, but this was legit! Honey walnut prawns - I'm obsessed with this!! It was perfectly cooked! Nice and crispy on the outside and the shrimp fully cooked on the inside. Fried shrimp dumpling: this is my go to at most dumplings sum places. It was delish! Chicken Crispy Noodles: this is the star of the show for me. Their pan fried noodles are perfect. It reminds me of a place I used to go to in sf when I was in middle school which is no longer there. The taste, texture of the noodles brought back memories! I know there are many iterations of pan fried Hong Kong style noodles, but those are also not created equally. This is a winner! Mapo tofu: this is hubby's favorite. We really enjoyed it and will definitely get it again! I'm not going to list everything we got, but I did put the ones that are my favs. Everything we ordered was amazing. What helps too is that the ladies that work here are all so friendly! We move a place with great service. This will now be our go to place!

My only minor complaint is that everything came out separately. The green beans arrived about 5-7 minutes before the orange chicken, and the white rice came out after that, so I ended up eating quite a few green beans while waiting for the rest of my meal! That said, everything tasted great and was clearly made fresh. The person who served me was really nice, and the restaurant itself was cool and comfortable, which was especially appreciated on such a hot day.
