Love this local place. Great vibes and lovely owners. Donuts are good and so are the croissants!

The high quality of their legacy donuts speaks for themselves. I had to update about their breakfast croissants and sandwiches. They are in my opinion about the best in town. The size, quality, price and most of all taste, is outstanding! A must try! Keeps me coming back for these as well. The friendliness and genuine appreciation from the owners is great way to start the day. Amen

Donut obsession continues They did a custom order of donuts for my kid's birthday party, and they were an absolute hit!! They did custom colors (K-pop demon hunters themed, of course), and let me do custom sprinkles. People couldn't get over how awesome they looked!!

I went there and there were lots of selections. It was hard to choose and everything I got was amazing! I got the ham and cheese croissant and chocolate donut . The people were really nice and helpful.

Too many donuts, but I couldn't resist!

When we needed donuts for our shoot, Lily from Foster's Family Donuts didn't hesitate. She supplied the donuts you see throughout the film...including these beautiful pink donuts that she made specifically for SLUSH. The truth is that independent films aren't made by one person. They're built one act of generosity at a time. A location owner says yes. A crew member goes the extra mile. A local business owner helps. And suddenly a story that existed only in your head begins to exist in the world. Thank you, Lily, for being part of that journey. And if you're anywhere near Foster's Family Donuts, do yourself a favor and stop in. The donuts are every bit as good as they look.

The young lady who initially helped us was very kind, and we ended up spending about $25. My kids decided they wanted to sit and eat inside, so I grabbed two small sheets of wax paper to use as makeshift plates so they wouldn't make crumbs or leave a mess on the tables. As I was taking the two sheets, an older woman working there aggressively confronted me and nearly smacked my hand away. Her reaction made it seem like I was reaching over the register and stealing money rather than taking two pieces of inexpensive wax paper for food we had just purchased. There were other customers inside, which made the whole interaction even more embarrassing and unnecessary. I had just spent $25 at the shop and was simply trying to keep the table clean while my kids ate. If taking the wax paper was an issue, she could have politely said something instead of reacting so aggressively. I'm local to La Crescenta and would have happily returned, but treating a paying customer this way over two pieces of wax paper left a terrible impression. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

I'm a sucker for inventive flavors and adorable packaging. Paired with one of their delicious coffee drinks, a Sidecar Doughnut feels like a small special occasion. I had an issue with a recent order and they handled it quickly, professionally and thoroughly. First of all, the donuts were absolutely delicious. Everything looked amazing, and what we tried definitely lived up to it. But what stood out to me even more than the donuts was the wonderful woman who helped me choose what to get. She was so warm, kind, and genuinely welcoming. She complimented the Christian shirt I was wearing, and from that moment, there was just something about her spirit that stood out to me. She had such a light about her, and she made me feel genuinely appreciated just for walking through the door. It was one of those small interactions that ends up meaning so much more than you expect. Before I left, I felt led to give her a little Jesus figure I had with me. It was such a sweet reminder that God can use even the simplest everyday moments--and even a stop for birthday donuts--to let His light shine through His people. God is good! Great donuts, but even better people. I'll definitely be back.

I'm always on the hunt for a Piroshki, one of my favorite delights that I think originated in…read moreRussia and is East European by origin. I think Papillon is Armenian which I believe has European cuisine, as Armenia is considered geographically to be within Western Asia (the Middle East) and the South Caucasus region. Sitting within the mountainous Armenian Highland, it acts as a transcontinental bridge between Eastern Europe and Asia. Their Piroshki is long and thin, whereas I'm accustomed to them being robust short stocky and round almost resembling a giant baked potato in size and shape. So these look like a "Chinese Donut" a.k.a. Youtiao (油条) in size and shape, same girth but length maybe 6"-8" long. What I liked is the filling of the Beef was minced ground beef with sauteed onion bits mixed into a blend and seasoned with a bit of spice but overall was very moist and juicy and the fried dough was very good. So, I'd recommend that. Oddly, I tried the Beef and Potato reluctantly thinking the pure beef option was going to be better... and the Potato was soft and perfect so I'm thinking they're equally good depending on your mood. I tried the beef empanada, and it was very good, similar flavor of the beef empanada to the piroshki but not exactly the same, otherwise I might say the empanada is bigger and gives more protein of the ground beef. The desert shaped like a peach fruit was very good. It reminded me of Asian style deserts where they're not overly sweet and has a healthy refreshing taste more so than being too overwhelming with thick sugary creams. I found out they have multiple locations. It feels maybe the Armenian and Russian community in So Cal are more toward this area and The Valley, so I do have to take what could be a 60-90 minute journey to come here, and even longer of a commute to their other locations. I think they'd do well in the SBBC (South Bay Beach Cities) down South past Santa Monica but before Long Beach and Orange County. I'd recommend this place for the food and service.
