I came here looking for remarkable donuts. My first visit during Labor Day weekend she was cleaned out with zero donuts in her case. She was quite apologetic. When I came back this am at 8:15, there was a queue (easily done with COVID). Even with a mask, I am impressed this lady remembered me. She is incredibly sweet. I ordered a chocolate glazed cake donut, old fashioned glaze, and a glazed crumb donut. I usually don't go for a crumb, but I was curious about this one. I took one bite of the crumb in the car and thought holy @&$! It's true the donuts are really good here. Definitely beats out fosters by a mile, surpasses Golden Donuts in LC. And if you come here and get peeved about no credit cards, get real, it's a donut shop. read more

Like many of us under cover 19 you end up driving around neighborhoods that you never have in the past. This morning we saw this little donut shop and we decided to get a classic maple donut and some donut holes for the kids. Both amazing! The service was also great. I can't even say how good this place is. There aren't many donut places in town. This place is, no joke, THE BEST!!! The cute little couple that runs it makes everything by hand every morning. The taste and service reflects their efforts. They ALWAYS greet you with a smile and make sure you leave with a smile too. My son loves their muffins because the have a perfect crisp around the edges and perfectly fluffy and soft throughout. It just always makes us happy when we go there. Donut Star is a small donuts shop that I have been to twice and was surprised by the excellent quality of donuts that they make. Their Apple Fritters are very large and delicious. My favorite has always been "Vanilla Frosted" (which is your basic donut with sprinkles), which they of course make and are very good. Their unfrosted "Old-Fashioned" are NOT sweet but surprisingly good. The shop's hours are a little chaotic. They are listed on the door but difficult to remember as the are not consistent throughout the week. Some days they open at 4:30 AM and some days they close at 2:00 PM. Hours: 5:00 AM - Noon, 7 days a week. Donut Star has been at this location since at least January 2008. read more

DONUT go to this place for a donut ..... They rarely have any donuts left (or to begin the day with?) and further more don't have a credit card machine. I realize getting donuts is mostly a cash affair but really, if you can't afford to keep stock/selection at 10AM or even have another form of processing payment @ competitive rates (hello square reader + iPad) then you really should just shut down and let another donut STAR take care of business. I could sell better donuts out of the trunk of my car and yes you can bet I would accept many forms of payment on my iPhone. read more
