Lunch break happiness

Cool place to have coffee, donuts, sandwiches and snacks! Private parking lot with plenty of parking spots. Location is easily accessible to walk there. I ordered an Egg Cheese Avocado sandwich with a side of chips and drink. Enjoyed my time eating at a table in the back. A large screen tv is in back near seating area. Staff and customers are friendly and welcoming. Excellent customer service! I requested suggestions of a Meatless sandwich; I appreciated their help. Thanks so much. Can't wait to try their donuts and sweets. I will be back! Cheers!~

I pride myself on being a donut aficionado and love finding non-trendy donut shops. I found a great one you must try if you're in the area! My test donuts are a simple glazed donut and an apple fritter. The glazed I had was in the form of a donut hole. So good! Not oily tasting like so many of them are these days. The apple fritter may be one of the best I've found this year! It's nice and light, not greasy, not overly sweet, and not overly crispy. Holy smokes, I should have bought more of them! Nowadays when a simple donut is $2 I don't eat as many. Plus, a donut has to be good enough to justify the calories. These are worth the money and the calories! You can also get all kinds of drinks, ice cream, sandwiches, lotto tickets...and more! They even have some tables to hang out for a bit and enjoy your food and drinks! A great find, indeed!

(Tookout 06/18/23 SU @ 3:30pm): Donuts - and apple fritters - were always delightful! After celebrating MacLeod Ale Brewing Co.'s 9th anniversary, I finally decided to try nearby Donuts & Delites to feed an urge. I've driven by this donut shop countless times as it was between two rental properties I managed for my family. How did this first experience go, and did they have all of my favorites!? PURCHASE 16floz Taro Smoothie + Boba ($5.75 + $0.75): A meal in itself, the taro flavor was subtle and a tad on the powdery side with a light tinge of purple, the consistency was a good thickness that flowed smoothly, while the boba was plentiful and perfectly chewy but not gooey, and it was all topped with a dollop of fluffy whipped cream. Aside from the faint taste, this was a reasonable deal https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=qlgv-yZDvmOhkWMIQISmBw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. THE "APPLE FRITTER IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD TOUR" CONTINUED... Apple Fritter ($2.50): Not that I was an apple fritter snob - eff it...yes I was! - but there was a certain way I liked mine. 1st, the price was comparable to the going rate (how I longed for fritters less than $2.00). 2nd, it was round shaped, the thickness and density was exactly what I liked, and more the size of my hand rather than my face (an ode to the great Goldstar Donuts in Van Nuys). 3rd, there was a noticeable amount of apple bits. 4th, the overall dark brown color was nice with several burnt ends (I loved it burnt), and the medium glaze was just enough and didn't make for a messy cracking effect. There were several crunchy odd crannies, corners, and nooks which I liked to break off into small little morsels. 5th, it was still fresh based on its temperature and early-afternoon with some hints of oil pockets and gooey apple juices that leaked into your mouth and dripped down your throat. Overall, it had exceptionally good value - 4.5 STARS https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=nnpV0C45XYfdBQqKXidorQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Glazed Buttermilk Bar ($1.75): A short and stout heavy-glazed creamy bar of goodness I had for breakfast a couple days later, twenty-five seconds in the microwave softened it up as it easily fell apart while it slightly burned my mouth https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=6sl11l8VFGiKOfGt21GwtA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Rainbow Sprinkles Chocolate Frosting Cake Donut ($1.50): A sweet treat that always put a smile on my face, I enjoyed this a few days later, seemingly still fresh, thick, and sugary goodness https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=JNutQSHxA7PYuC6Fx0dVkQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. SERVICE Kindly greeted by a friendly woman, she quickly took my order after she finished with an earlier customer, took time to make my drink, and less than ten minutes later my entire order was ready. All was good with no complaints - thank you! PARKING (FREE) Located within a medium-sized strip mall that contained an insurance company and a handful of other businesses, there was decent onsite parking albeit a bit tight which I found a spot directly out front. Otherwise, there appeared to be sufficient parking along the main drag of Victory Blvd. - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A deceptively long shop with multiple donut display cases, Lotto & Scratchers, easily legible drink https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=_FIGeHdgSxO8rNxe9X6tjQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw and food https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=phfa15W16srY4s-YRvMzSg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw menus/prices boards, a wall-sized menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=jEhn2uRUFZriFyI6dBLJfw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, a few tables and chairs to enjoy your food onsite, and a ton of visuals that covered the entire inside https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=vL8Vh4DD2ENXV59_3OLSXw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Decent amounts of natural lighting came through the semi-covered large glass windows and doors while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights covered the rest. I didn't notice any TVs nor background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=v8iWyZTHl4c4FU4CxS4E0A&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Donuts & Delites was "de-lovely" and would consider a return visit. Everything tasted generally fine, the prices were very comparable, and the service was quick and easy. They also sold coffee/drinks/juices/tea, sandwiches, various snacks, and more! Plus, it was always a pleasure to support a mom & pop small business. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $12.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Half dozen mixed. Basically all the donuts that don't sell
Vic G.

Ordered 2 sandwiches and half a dozen donuts for $35 and this is the mixed dozen the put in the order. All the donuts people going into the shop DONT pick they pack them in the delivery orders. What's dumb is that we are still paying customers. There's no way you would give this as a mixed half dozen to someone walking into the shop. And for that I will never order again or come into your store. Cheap people

Croissant with Bacon, Egg, Cheese, and Avocado.

The fact that this is a $10.35 sandwich is criminal. The prices are very inconsistent. It's like they charge you whatever they feel like charging you. They are very nice, but the prices just don't equate to the quality that you receive.

Pretty good morning donut. Other breakfast items looked tasty, but I didn't have any. Not the best of buildings. In a Spanish neighborhood.

Really like this little mom n pop local donut shop…read more So far I've enjoyed every donut I've tried (except for the cinnamon crumble I think it was). I really love their chocolate donuts and their Nutella one. Yum. I also love how they have so many other offerings from cold bottled beverages, to sandwiches, boxed up cut fruit and even little bags of chips. I wish they'd try introducing some asian inspired beverages like boba and milk tea, that would be amazing. The owners are incredibly nice and the store was kept very clean and organized. Will be back again! =)

The mother always treats me like her son and tells me that I need to eat more because I'm too skinny and slips in a couple donut holes in my bag free of charge and gives me a wink. This is the true definition of neighborly love and hometown goodness. They have a vast range of donuts and don't sleep on their bagels. If you ask, they'll make you an awesome breakfast sandwich fully customizable. I'm an everything bagel toasted twice with ham, egg and onion. Also another recommendation would be any of their bear claws and turnovers (puff pastry with jam filling). Added plus are the hours, I'm an early bird type so getting a breakfast sandwich at 4:00 am while being greeted with the best smile is a win in my book all day long. The specialty donuts can sell out so if you're a maple bacon type person show up before noon. They have plenty of drink options as well. From juices to healthy drinks and energy drinks and coffees. There's table seating if you choose to dine in too. Parking has never been an issue because there's the lot out front and a garage below if the lot is full. I've never had to park down in the garage.

No, I am NOT pregnant. :-) just cravings like most people have. Walked in this morning around 10am & was greeted by couple of employees. Both very nice, sweet, helpful and kind. They have so many different donuts, croissants, sandwiches, hot and cold coffee, espresso, latte, bottled drinks and more.. They have an indoor and outdoor seating and the place is super cute and very clean, chill and you get what you pay for. I got a dozen donuts from them and tried one on my way home and it was just decadent, fresh, fluffy and the frosting isn't overly sweet. Has parking and a restroom for their customers! Will definitely return next time I am in the Encino area. Established back in 1960 & Winnie/the owner of the place took over ownership in February of 2023. Give this donut shop a try and you will be very satisfied!!:-))

The next morning, I opened the box and realized how small the donuts really are for the price. Compared to Randy's Donuts, there's really no comparison. Further, they become a bit hard. There's also another donut shop south of the boulevard on Topanga Canyon (I believe around 4872 Topanga Canyon Blvd) that does an excellent job. If you go too late, they're usually sold out -- which says a lot. Sometimes driving a little farther for better quality, larger donuts, and fair prices is absolutely worth the trip.

I am a mother that was taking her children to school and they requested that we stop for donuts. I dislike that I can't trust ppl to not judge me and provide me with terrible service/ food and I say this because I am wondering if maybe the fact that I had on my husbands baggy clothes I might have given off an appearance that I deserved to be served eggs that were grey in the middle. To be honest I dislike receiving this type of service from a group of women that seem to pride themselves on their looks. Either way I think a review is warranted so that if for some odd reason I end up here again I get fresh eggs that doesn't make me want to vomit; simply bc I'm a human being spending my hard earned money (over $30). I shouldn't have to be a repeat customer in order to get fresh food.

My husband fell in love with them in Portugal and he's been craving them ever since we got home. I'm happy to say that the pastéis de nada at Natas Pastries are just as delicious as the ones we had in Portugal. Their other breakfast food was delicious as well. I had the All American Breakfast, and the potatoes were incredible! My husband had the Breakfast Burrito with linguiça, and he loved it! We sat outside on the patio, which is a lovely place to enjoy a meal, and all of the staff was so friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu, as well as more pastéis de nada!

We had had dinner at a restaurant about a block away. I'm always looking to try different bakeries…read moreand saw that Natas was close by and still open. It's usually hard to find a bakery that is still open after 6 pm. I decided to try a variety of pastries and ordered an apple strudel, chocolate covered peanut butter bar and a large chocolate chip cookie. They had a very wide selection to choose from. My daughter ordered a lemon bar, slice of lemon cake and a small chocolate chip cookie. My first impression of the desserts that I chose was that they were sweet. I could feel the graininess of the sugar in the chocolate covered peanut butter bar. The strudel was tasty but light on the apple filling. Between the chocolate chips and sugar the cookie was sweeter than what I usually like but still a good cookie. I tried my daughter's lemon bar and I liked it. The things I tried I'm thinking 3 stars, my daughter liked the things she bought so averaging it out maybe a solid 3.5 stars rounded up to a generous 4 stars. Service was okay. Natas has a wide variety of pastries. I think the other items on the menu are more well received. I'll need to go back next time I am in town to try out some of other menu items.
