Maple bar, blueberry cake donut, and some free donut holes!
    Annette T.

Maple bar with custard filling. That's my go-to donut here and it's so good! The bar itself is large and the maple icing is nicely enrobed on top. The main thing I enjoy about this particular donut is that the custard is filled all the way through. A competitor in town (and a really good one) tends to not fill the custard entirely through the center of the donut bar. The only reason for the docked star was from the inconsistent customer service. The first time I went here, the lady helping us was super nice and engaging vs. the second time, there were two women that spoke to one another in their native tongue and I felt like I was interrupting them each time I had a question. This is not the kind of service anyone should get when they're a paying customer too. I'm hoping that was a one-off because their donuts are worth getting!

The good thing is that this place still exists lol. I've been coming here my entire life. The new owners took over in January 2025. We're now in December 2025. They have been upgrading and remodeling through out the year. The bagel sandwiches are still the same. The taste is the same. The one they changed is the #24. It comes with 2 sausages instead of one. Of course, they increased the prices. In addition, they have burritos! We have tried them and, girl, they have an immense amount of oil! The pan is filled with oil. There's more oil than anything. I like the potatoes and cheese but would suggest more egg and less oil. They have decorated the shop with cute frames and plants.

Delicious high quality food with awesome service. The bang for your buck is unbeatable here. I recommend getting the bacon egg and cheese bagel sandos on a cheese bagel - best price you can get and they use fresh high quality ingredients

What a joke... Give me some cream cheese not a half a tablespoon

This place USED to be amazing When the original people owned it. Recently within the past few months it was sold to a different family. Previously we would get cream cheese pile on and their bagel sandwiches were amazing. But since this new family took it over there's barely any flavor on the bagel sandwiches and it's a complete another joke how much cream cheese you get on your bagel

Love coming here for breakfast. They have the best sandwich and donuts. Definitely will be back to try every different type of sandwich.

Great to see this place thriving with the under the new management. Updated the decor and menu boards. Great service as always. Tasty sandwiches on excellent bagels. Decent selection of yummy donuts. Still one of my favorite donut places for many years.

So good, I had to take a bite first. Seriously, I didn't feel like making breakfast this morning so I decided to go out for a drive and I drive to this place called Donuts N Things off Monterey Rd just north of Main Street and decided to have a breakfast sandwich. The number 10 to be exact. This is the most tasty breakfast sandwich I've had in a long time. While I realize this place has been here for a long time, they are under new ownership and the staff is really friendly and it made for a more enjoyable experience. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning soon. P S, I had a doughnut as well, haha

Too good to wait for pictures! Their cinnamon roll is the best in town!
    Kassie R.

Come here for their freshly made cinnamon rolls! They only make a limited amount each day, so call before you arrive. The cinnamon roll was ooey-gooey and smothered in cream cheese frosting. They also give you the option to make it warm It's a cute hole in the wall donut shop that delivers great food to their regulars!

I refilled the cup about an inch worth. I didn't know they don't offer refills. I would gladly have paid for it. Geez!!!

My wife and I know all the servers by their name as we go weekly. Today I went there and we got a new server, now I realize there is a training period but we've seen him there for at least three weeks. When the order came, it had sweet potatoes fries instead of shoe string fries. Again, simple things but the order was incorrect. His name is Christian, I would not get him again period! Now the other servers like Sam,Monique, Jeremy for example are excellent in fact a 5+. So ask for them and your meal will be special because of the service. The service was fantastic, glasses constantly being refilled, asked us if we wanted more bread and butter and our server made some great recommendations "5 Stars" The Food: #1. They gave us 2 nice warm bread rolls with a room temperature salted butter cube. The bread at first tasted salty but then my palate caught up and oh snap! this bread was good!! 5 Stars! #2. The server recommended the beef Wellington. "I ordered it med rare, it came to me med rare" it comes with mashed potatoes and longstem broccoli with cherry tomatoes, and a wine/vinegar reduction for the Wellington. The broccoli had a nice crispness to it and were seasoned perfectly, the cherry tomatoes added some brightness. The mashed potatoes were silky smooth and paired perfectly with the Wellington. NOW THE BEEF WELLINGTON: OH MY .....GOSH!!! My eyes rolled back into my head, it was so good!! The beef was as soft as butter, I could have used a butter knife to cut it (not kidding) and it melted in my mouth. The seasoning with the dough and the spinach with the mushrooms inside nearly caused a wet dream (if you get my point) "and don't even get me started on their reduction sauce for the Wellington!" The waiter walked up to me and smiled and said "and I quote"... gives you goosebumps, right? Oh he knew, HE KNEW!! 5++++ Stars! #3. Wifey ordered the Grilled Salmon salad. She ate the Salmon so fast that I barely had a chance to taste it. She said she really liked it, now I did get a chance to taste the salad and I must say that it was so good that it could have been a stand alone dish. Again 5 Stars. #4. And for dessert we had tiramisu. It came plated beautifully with a raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, whipped cream, and a beautiful orchid flower. The flavor while not the best I've had was still pretty darn good 4 Stars. Overall food and dining experience at the restaurant easily hits 5 stars! He came to our table just after we were seated and before we had a chance to look at anything. Stood there looking annoyed as we scrambled to look at the menu for drinks and appetizers. We very quickly told him we would need a few minutes. The few minutes though turned into 10-15 before he came back to take our order. The appetizer took an extremely long amount of time to get to table. The young man who brought it wasn't our server and did not check to see if we needed anything else. When our waiter eventually came back with our cocktails. He just held them out to the nearest person and made us pass them down the table. Eventually after another long wait, our meals arrived. Server nowhere to be found. By this time our first drinks and waters were empty. Server didn't come by for quite awhile after. Some of our party asked for more drinks and water. We never got more water. Server never came by mid meal to ask how we were doing. If we needed anything else. I would've ordered another drink if I had a shred of confidence that it would've been delivered before I finished my meal. Speaking of the cocktail. YOU DO NOT MUDDLE THE CHERRIES IN AN OLD FASHIONED. It was just a mash of fruit floating around at the bottom of the glass. We finally saw our server again when he came by to ask if we wanted desert. He dropped off the menus and then disappeared for another 10+ minutes. At which point I had to go find him to inform him that we wanted to order dessert since we were celebrating my father's birthday. When the other young man brought our desserts we had to ask for new plates and clean utensils. We again had to ask for more water since it wasn't brought when previously asked for. Our server then eventually showed up for the check. He told us the first card didn't go through. He did not do this quietly or with tact. He came back after the second card didn't go through. We did not get any banking notifications about these and inquired if perhaps their system was the problem. It wasn't until the third card didn't go through that he admitted they were trying to fix the problem on their end. He did not apologize. We've dined at this restaurant multiple times a year for several years. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had here. If you care at all about the service you pay for then I would suggest you avoid this restaurant. Very disappointed. Next time we'll be dining elsewhere.

I grabbed the first booth I encountered and was brought water and menu right away. The waitress took my order of a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings ($16.50). A few minutes later the onion rings of my dreams (super crispy on the outside and a real onion rings inside with enough crunch left that you can bite through without dragging a soggy onion out of its outer shell, so each mouthful is both onion and crunchy coating) arrived and a sandwich with crispy (not soggy, underdone) bacon, hefty burger patty (done just how I like them with carmelized edges and perfectly done thick center) with cheese, pickles, red onions, lettuce and mayo. I asked them to leave off the tomato due to my food allergies. The bun was soft but held up well to the heft of the sandwich. The decor was classic 60's style diner. While the seats were well padded and the covering looked practically new, some of the tables showed the wear of the years on the corners. There is also a short lunch counter next to the kitchen. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed one of the slushies was non-alcoholic so I might try that next time. We ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger with Chili Cheese Fries and the Supreme wood-fired pizza. The burger was fantastic! The BBQ sauce was delicious, the bacon and onion rings were crispy, and the fries were great. I enjoyed the chili, but I didn't think the cheese sauce or sour cream really stood out. I thought the crust on the pizza was perfect, I really enjoyed the wood-fired vibe and fresh toppings. This would probably be my favorite pizza if they used better mozzarella. For now, Bizza is holding the top spot for me since they use Butcher's Son mozzarella, and in my opinion, it's the best vegan mozzarella sub I've ever had from pizza spots so far. Even though I have notes, I still think the overall meal was a home run and the staff were super friendly so they get 5-stars in my book.

They probably let used Bleu cheese. I'll send this back and tell the manager to come by". No apology, no I'm sorry can I get you anything else? Nothing of that nature. Let me be perfectly clear here, it's chilequiles. There's no way a cook confused the two. I wasn't falling for that nonsense. How would only one piece have the blue hue to it too? And the worst part is I LOVE bleu cheese. Like absolutely love it, so to lie to my face and tell me that's what it was. Ridiculous. Manager never came, she ended up bringing the check and took off plate as a courtesy she said, well yea I didn't eat it so why wouldn't you. Finally a place in Morgan Hill where you can have a nice quiet dinner with prompt and attentive…read moreservice without feeling crowded and packed in, table to table. The menu is varied, the food was excellently prepared and the Wine list is complete and honestly priced. Corkage was only $20 which was much appreciated. Had the prawn and chicken piccata, which was excellent, and my wife had the lamb shank, which was outstanding. I know that these are difficult times in the restaurant business, but these folks really deserve kudos for the job they're doing and I sincerely hope that they flourish.

My dear friend Russ talks continually about this amazing bakery, the owner Jeff and his wife, what…read morestellar staff they have and of course... The pastries!!! Well I've been in there a few times now and I understand everything Russ is saying, from the amazing delicious pastries to the warm and friendly owners and staff. I've loved everything I e eaten at this place! So I ran in with my husband a few days ago to order a birthday cake for Russ (his favorite bakery). Jeff and I had a great time ordering pastries to go and of course... ordering the burnt almond cake for the celebration a few days away. Jeff got a piece of the most dense/ingredient filled Quiche. Every bite was a taste bud delight and it was very filling! Good quality. No smoking and an excellent breakfast decision. We ordered some coffee cake and a cinnamon roll for others at home and I got a jelly roll that was this beautiful, fluffy, perfectly cooked roll with a bit schmear of a cream cheese/butter icing on top and the apricot jam they crowned it with was stellar! OMG. I'm going back for another one of those. That was an incredible decision. Pictures next visit I promise!!! The restaurant is clean and airy indoors and they have a beautiful seating area with tables and umbrellas outside. I was marveling at the giant leggos and giant games for kids to entertain themselves at while parents sip coffee, tea or another drink and enjoy a leisurely pastry and conversation to make their day special. All in all this place is as amazing as Russ said and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a special experience with food, family and joy.

This was my first time visiting the new location for Lawson Bakery in Morgan Hill, and I have to…read moresay they absolutely did not disappoint. We drove over 20 miles just to pick up a birthday cake for my son because we have been longtime customers ever since their older location on the other side of Morgan Hill. Their cakes have always been amazing, full of flavor, fresh, moist, and very reasonably priced for the quality you get. While we were there, I decided to try their coffee and I believe the espresso was Tilly brand, and wow it was excellent. I also had one of their cinnamon rolls and it was honestly to die for. Soft, fresh, full of flavor, and one of the best pastries I've had in a long time. What really made the experience even better was the staff. Everyone was super nice, polite, welcoming, and very professional. You can tell they truly care about their customers. Their boss should definitely give them a raise because great customer service like that is hard to find nowadays. If you are ever in the Morgan Hill area and looking for amazing pastries, great coffee, or a delicious birthday cake, look no further. Highly recommend Lawson Bakery! I would have took pictures, but my battery was dead. But next time for sure , I will
