Then idk what happened but they stopped being yummy so we tried different ones because we were determined not to give up on our favorite way to start our Saturday's! These donuts are absolutely the best! I'm here several times over the past year and most recently a few weeks ago The employees are friendly and it's an all-around treat to get their donuts. Why only 3 stars? It looks like the grout and floor in the seating area has never been cleaned. You can find a Groupon for $85 to have someone come in and just steam clean the floor. Each time I go in I'm curious if the floor will have been cleaned, but it just keeps getting worse. It would make the appearance of the place so much cleaner looking if they had the grout cleaned up. Grime is building up and seeping onto the tile so that you can't even see the tile line defined making it look like black sludge is growing. I have to not look at it so I don't gross out because I still want to buy their donuts tells you how great this place really is. read more

My family and I enjoy this place from time to time. It's the closest drive thru doughnut shop. :) I have 3 boys, 5, 3 & 2, so convenience and not having to unload them to get sweet treats is a big selling point for us. A cool thing about this place is they offer some special doughnuts on the weekends- like maple with bacon chunks all over the top! Soooo good! But you better hurry because they sell out before 11am. The rest of their doughnut selection dwindles quite a bit if you come later than 11am... (we like to sleep in on weekend) So unfortunately the last couple times we have gone, I have missed out on my precious Maple bacon doughnuts! :( Overall this place is good- their drive-thru menu needs upgrading, it looks sloppy. But that's minor. The food is what we care about. Just remember to arrive early on the weekends if you want any specialty doughnuts otherwise you will miss out. They also have a $5 min credit/debit card purchase. However if you get a dozen mixed, it's easy to get past that. I also enjoy their ice chai lattes! :) read more

Fast, friendly employees. Best raised, glazed, filled donut I've ever had. the employee recommended the blueberry filled, which I bought, along with a raspberry filled and apple fritter. Both the raspberry (which my wife requested) and apple were very good. When my wife took a bite of "my" blueberry, she didn't want to give it back. I have been by over the past few years (I live miles away) and every time I come I am greeted by warm, fun employees and wonderful donuts. Worst service ever! I ordered two fruit smoothies(which they didn't have the flavor I wanted.) After a longer than normal wait, I got my smoothies that had some weird liquid on the bottom and the top was ice and fruit chunks halfway blended. I took a sip and it tasted like flavored water. All Aboard! Next stop Donutsville! On a quiet Sunday afternoon, I found Donutsville filled with a sweet surprise all the way to the last bite. I've been on a donut craze and wanted to explore their menu which had classic and non-traditional favorites. From donuts to cronuts and an extensive drink selection, we were impressed and somewhat overwhelmed with the selection. The staff was very patient while we made our difficult decision because they had over 32 donuts to choose from considering she mentioned they were almost sold out! The date consisted of: Glazed red velvet cake donut - I'm not a huge red velvet fan but this donut made me see the light! What made me crave more bites of this donut was the crunch of the cake donut and the light amount of sugary glaze. The chocolate had just the right amount of flavor. They also have the same donut with coconut shaving if you feel like a nut. Blueberry cake donut - This is definitely my go-to donut since I had my first one in SoCal. This one did not disappoint. Another highlight to was the lack of glaze which made the blueberry become the highlight. They offer it glazed for those craving the extra sugar. Maple bar - My childhood favorite and this was unique compared to the usual maple long johns. The maple flavor stood out with a light glaze covered top of the bar compared to a thick, hard, brownish coating of artificial sugar with a hint of maple on it. Cherry glazed and filled yeast donut - What a surprise! Better than a jelly filled, you get a double dose of the cherry glaze on top with a generous dollop of cherry filling with real cherries in the center. The yeast donut was so light and airy and each bite was more addicting after the other. The cost of the donuts were from $.89 (raised or cake), $1.25 (specialty & filled), $1.59 (fancy), $.25/each $2.50/dozen (donut holes) or 1 dozen mix $8.90 (extra for filled & fancy). They accept cash or credit card. Many customers ordered from their drink menu with a huge selection of coffee and smoothies drinks. What made this a five star date was the interior with ample seating, free wi-fi, water and friendly service. For those you who are in a hurry, they have a drive-thru. From time to time we would pass by this donut shop, and one day we finally stopped by to see what they are all about. The shop currently has a drive through, plenty of parking available, and a spacious interior. The shop also serves as a café and bakery by carrying a good number of coffee, espresso drinks, and bagels. Donuts range from $.89 to $1.59 each, and $8.90 by the dozen. They also offer free wifi, and the atmosphere is quiet and conducive to family gatherings. During our visit, the donuts that made an impression were the Glazed Red Velvet Cake Donut, Blueberry Cake Donut, Maple Bar, Cherry Pie Yeast Donut, Chocolate Bar, Chocolate Glazed Red Velvet Cake Donut, and Coconut Red Velvet Cake Donut, and Oreo Cookies Yeast Donut. The Glazed Red Velvet Donuts had a nice firm exterior, and a soft, moist, and cake-like center. The Blueberry Cake Donut was not too sweet, and had a blueberry aroma to make it count. I was very pleased with both the Maple Bar and Chocolate Bar. Comparatively, the texture came with a thicker consistency with a better chew than the Chocolate Glazed Donuts. The mix of textures also stood out in the Coconut Red Velvet Cake Donut. The Cherry Pie Donut was one of my favorites with its creamy center and slightly tart profile to breakdown the sweetness. The Oreo Cookies Yeast Donut was a bit sweeter than expected, but it was hard to resist when it arrived fresh and warm. The ones that I thought were either too ordinary or not worth the calories were the Cinnamon Roll, Apple Pie Yeast Donut, Chocolate Glazed Donut, and Cherry Donut. They were either underwhelming, too sweet, or lacking the elastic chewy texture. Overall, I liked the flavor profiles and the options available each day. Observable limitations included uneven sizes in some of their selections, and during our visit, their donuts were not properly labeled and shelved at the counter. Despite these shortcomings, we find service to be helpful, informative, friendly, kids friendly, and patient. I would be interested in coming back to try their Cronuts, among other items. read more

Being a donut connoisseur, I'm not holding back on this review! If you know me like the back of your hands, you know how much I love donuts. If done right, it should leave a lasting memory, just like any good food you've ever had. I came in with zero expectation to only be blown away. While they offered many interesting flavors, I stuck to the classics and some. If there's one donut that you MUST come for is the raised glazed. As I sunk my teeth into the fluffy dough, I knew right away this was a home run. I wanted to keep eating as each bite was heavenly. Since we are in the fall season, it only made sense I try their pumpkin. Yes, pumpkin--not pumpkin spice, but pure pumpkin. It had a nice "pumpkiny" taste. Not too sweet, just right. My two other loves are: blueberry and red velvet. I do have pretty high standards for the blueberry flavor. Having had quite a bit of experience eating many of them in California, I might know a thing or two about good blueberry. What makes their blueberry outstanding and reaching the upper echelon of my donut checklist, is the glaze. But on top of that, I enjoyed how the cakey dough is soft and semi-sweet. Sometimes donuts are overbearing with sweetness but here, they have that under control. Red velvet on the other hand was just as pleasant to eat. It had similar consistency to the blueberry. I would say the only thing I would suggest here is to have a second option with white frosting to give it a full red velvet experience. Besides their amazing donuts, Donutsville offers many other things such as coffee and other beverages but I've yet to try. I will make my way back to try more things, that's for sure! The atmosphere and decor is hustle and bustle with a warm and inviting attitude. The folks behind the counter are swift with orders and will surely make your busy day a happy one. Locally owned and operated, a call to make sure they'd be open on 1/1/16 humorously answered "same time as always, this family doesn't party much," it was true to their word that my 6am arrival was met by a wide array of baked and fried goods - the $15.17 bill nabbing a Bakers' Dozen including several specialties while service couldn't have been more friendly, no hangovers to be found just smiles a pleasant environment all around. Playing Top-40 tunes with holiday décor ranging from Nutcrackers to Darth Vader still speckled around the store it was with items boxed carefully that my order was taken to a seat, free Wi-Fi allowing me to catch up on news from New Year's Eve while first bites of a Nutella-smeared Cronut proved as crisp and oilless as can be. Running the gamut from raised-and-glazed or cake classics to novelties including the aformentioned cronut and cereal topped treats it was with a feathery light cruller that the tasting continued and impressed by its texture an equal degree of old-world craftsmanship was found in each yeasted ring, the cinnamon crumb and longjohn both reference standard while the Oreo cookie crumble and rice topped options were both quite delicious, the latter something not seen in all my travels with a marshmallow glaze and Snap-Crackle-Pop texture equally prone to please. Moving next to cake based options, the buttermilk bar an unfortunate failure as it lacked any tang amidst a crumb that came across quite dry, improvement was quickly found in a duo of lumpy old-fashioned circles, the glazed standard creamy and delicious while the blueberry one-upped the standard blueberry cake in texture and taste, a strong statement as the more commonly found version was itself quite good. Moving to the heavier options, a red velvet cake predictably tinged with cocoa but also fruity-fragrant from what seemed to be a half-blueberry base, it was in two favorites that the tasting would conclude; the Apple Fritter competent and crisp, if not a showstopper, while the Bearclaw stuffed with Fruit and Nuts was perhaps the best version sampled to date, each bite as good as the last with textural variance negating any sort of palate fatigue. read more

It has now been one year since Donutsville has opened. I have upped my rating to the maximum 5 stars. It is a mixed blessing. The Good side - they continue to offer the best donuts I have eaten in my life. They continue to have owners that are very engaged and approachable. They care about their business, their product and their customers. All big plusses. The bad side - I have gained weight since they moved into my neighborhood. They are so good, I promise to only have one and always get two. This is no joke, they are irresistible, seriously. Note - I hear often that some people complain that they don't have that special donut they were hoping for on the day they go. Deal with it, there are so many great choices I understand how they can't make them all every day. Expand your culinary horizons and check out many of the other goodies. You really can't expect them to make every type every day, especially on the high end gourmet donuts that take extra effort and may not sell out on a slow day like a Monday. We went to try this place after having them at a wedding a few years ago. My wife was really excited to have their peanut butter and jelly doughnut. It was pretty good. Wish it had a little more peanut butter and jelly. Their other doughnuts are pretty good overall. My daughters had a normal glazed and a chocolate covered and I had a Bavarian cream. We were pretty satisfied over all and I would rather support a smaller place like this than go to a Dunkin doughnuts or another chain. We will be back and I will probably try a breakfast sandwich as I am seeing that they are pretty good. Overall, I would recommend this place. Good decor, good doughnuts and good service. read more

Love this place! I've been going to Donutsville about once a week since they opened. Always a good experience. Nice people. Clean shop. Sometimes I show up in the afternoon, and they still have incredible fresh donuts/pastries available. True, selection is smaller if you show up later in the day, but you can still find something tasty on the shelves. My faves are the apple fritters, glazed yeast donuts, crullers, and cronuts. The savory stuff is great too. The filled croissants are delicious. They go fast on the weekends. They also have meat kolaches which are dough stuffed with either smoked sausage and cheese (my fave, see pictures) or with pulled pork, then baked until golden brown. Ask them to heat it up. Wish I had one right now... Dare I say they have the best donuts in the valley? It's in the top 3 of best donut shops for sure, and certainly best in the west valley IMO. 4 stars. read more

My favorites were the Boston Creme filled donut and the creme filled Cronut. The hot chocolate was pretty good too. As we were leaving, we decided to order another dozen for the road. I came to Donutsville expecting to be wowed by unique varieties of the AZ valley...unfortunately, even though I ate in-house right after opening (when most fresh), I found myself a bit underwhelmed by the taste of the doughnuts despite the glitz and glam of their presentation. I purchased a yeast fruity pebbles, maple cruller, strawberry sprinkles, chocolate cocoa crispies, traditional glazed cake, and a jalapeño cheddar kolache. -The fruity pebbles was great due to the texture and crunch of the fruity pebbles (they weren't soggy), this one I enjoyed and finished. -The maple cruller lacked a density to the donut that I would've liked, it was rubbery in texture as far as the dough goes and the maple was light in flavor. -The strawberry sprinkles folding have a strong strawberry flavoring that I would've enjoyed if it were more robust. It was simple, basic and not very special. -The chocolate cocoa crispies was mediocre too in that there wasn't a lot of chocolate flavoring...but the texture was decent from the crispies which were crisp. This could've used perhaps a dark chocolate or hazelnut icing rather than a lightly flavored generic chocolate to really make it noteworthy. -The traditional glazed cake doughnut was simple...not my favorite as the density of flavor was lacking, but it was ok. -The jalapeño cheddar kolache was actually the star of the show, it was delicious from the warmth and spice from the sausage. There were great flavors and this is something I'd definitely want to order again. In general will I go back? I have no plans to return to such experiences--though I wish I could report otherwise. read more
