I went to Doodle Noodle Bar with my brother and sister-in-law, who are regulars. It's also one of the few places open late at night in that part of Westchase. The cartoon-themed vibe is fun and playful. My sister-in-law ordered the fried rice, and my brother and I both got the Fiery Noodles soup bowl... and holy cow, it truly lives up to its name. The spice level is no joke (and I love spicy), but it was delicious. I actually went back again because I enjoyed it so much. I just wish they offered two spice levels for this dish -- it's that good, but I definitely needed a lot of water with it . Overall, great flavor, fun atmosphere, and a solid late-night option in the area.
One of my favorite Asian restaurants in the area. My boyfriend and I have been coming here since the opened and are never disappointed. They have changed the style to more table service which is nice. I always order the house noodles and add siracha, my favorite dish on the menu. We got the pork dumpling special this time to start and they were delicious and crispy. The decor inside is fun and unique. The food is always tasty and comes out fast. I've never had a bad experience here. Only dissapointment this past weekend was the bar was closed when we came. Bummer as they have some fun cocktails but we still love the place. Their pho is Soo good and definitely love their milk teas.
This place is both unique and delicious. The black and white 2D decor, fun sayings & giant panda on the wall are so whimsical! Our noodle bowls were huge and flavorful. There were many options on the menu to choose from and even the menu option to make your own noodle bowl. The staff were friendly. We had a very fun dining experience.
First time here and it did not disappoint! Everything we got was so delicious. I got pan seared pork dumplings to start, which were delicious with a really great dipping sauce. I got The Vong Way Stir Fry which was really great, very deep and rich flavor. Love the cucumbers being there, added a nice touch. My husband got the Pork Belly Heaven Soup Bowl which was also very good. Service was also really good, didn't wait long for anything. Ambiance is great too, with really fun designs and concept.
Server was very nice and explained the menu well. The decor was cool, however the food was mid at best. All the sauces were obviously poured straight from supplier bottles. The pork, ponzu, and kimchi tasted off and old. The rice was made with too much water and mushy. The pho broth had no flavor it was lacking essential spices and depth of flavor. It required so much hoisin sriracha and lime to make it palatable. The matcha and Vietnamese iced coffee were very low quality. Viet coffee lacked sweetened condensed milk and was very grey in color. While we dined pest control came in to assess an estimate. My partner refused to eat any more than 3 bites of the Peppa pig bowl due to off flavors and it upsetting her stomach. Tofu and Pork had 0 seasoning. We both left with stomach aches. Very poor experience. Server deserves a tip but want refund.

I would've preferred enoki mushrooms or something outside of the baby Bella looking mushrooms but I appreciate the effort! Although the pork was thick and different from the usual thin sliced meat, I enjoyed the texture and taste. I was missing that soft boiled egg but still a good amount of food for the $12-14 you're paying! I had plenty of broth left over which I'll neutralize the saltiness at home with more unsalted chicken broth and add my own ramen and toppings! My cousins got the pho which everyone liked. He said he liked the pho more than the ramen broth. Plenty of oxtail in that bowl as well since it's $22 ish. The dumplings were kinda basic. Good but you can get the same satisfaction from frozen dumplings. The krab Rangoon (see photo) looks thick and crispy! I should've gotten that. Great polite service and they were able to accommodate our larger party along the wall. My family got Thai tea and they really liked it. It looked like a good creamer to tea ratio (on the deeper orange side versus too much creamer and being light colored). Would def come back!

He order the Vong Way which was 3 spice rated and it was less spicy than mine? I mean you can even tell in this picture how spice the Oh So Good is. Anyways... if you can't handle spice definitely do NOT get that. But listen my husband LOVES spice so he thought it was good. *side note I asked if they could just make it less spicy and they said no lol which you'd think just throw less red pepper flakes in there maybe?

The food is the most important part, right? It's good!!! The food is really good and they serve alcohol! This is place is also kid friendly so bring the kiddies but leave crayons at home (LOL).

Ponzu tasted very dated like soy sauce that's been out for weeks. Went for hospitality discount and should have turned around when there were 0 other people in the restaurant. During my experience 2 pest controls reps came in to quote... being there was no other people there it made it very obvious. Most owners book that type of service prior to opening. Viet coffee wasn't traditional. No sweetened condensed milk. Fried tofu had no flavor served with Sauce which was mai ploy sweet Thai chili straight from the bottle. Dumplings were bland from obviously frozen a non Asian vendor served with the previously mentioned "Ponzu" on a bed of rotted spring mix. Kimchi is apart of my regular diet. I've never had old tasting kimchi until today. I stopped 3 times on the way home to go to the bathroom. Did not finish my food as the overcooked rice paired with clashing, old flavors and misfit curry sauce was too much to handle. Thankful the server comped it, but it shouldn't have to be that way. As a chef I am not confident in their quality control. HMU if you want a deeper consultation to fix these issues.

Large chunks of crispy pork belly and a generous portion of noodles and a sweet Thai chili sauce to go with it. Overall, a unique experience to take friends to! :)
Took myself on a solo date to doodle noodle bar. I sat at the bar alone and ordered 2 appetizers, spring rolls and wontons. They were good but average - nothing to brag on. Drink was cute but not strong at all. This place is super aesthetically pleasing. I didn't get any good pictures of myself here since I came alone, but I highly suggest having a mini shoot since that is what you're paying for the aesthetics lol.

Absolutely love coming here! There's a variety of items on the menu from soup, stir fry, rice bowls, vermicelli, milk teas and more. I got the chicken pho and there is SO MUCH you get- so it's definitely worth the price ($15 which was really reasonable in my opinion). This was perfect for the gloomy weather and the little cold I came down with. We tried the krab rangoon and the fried tofu which were both good as well! I love the crunch to the rangoon and it was balance of filling to size. Everyone else in my family got the Vong Way which they all really enjoyed. You can also swap out things in the bowls (ex- if you don't want chicken in the vong way you can swap it out for tofu, which is what my parents did). Our waiter was super kind and helpful and kept checking in on us. Inside itself it cute with all the doodles on the walls and floors. Even in the restrooms had doodles. read more

Not tasty, chicken tasted old. Was hoping for a better experience. Definitely have GF options. The portions are huge. Restaurant wasn't as clean as I would have liked. I will definitely not return. read more

This 2D cafe is very similar to the one in Orlando. I love the ambiance drawing on the wall. Everything like 2D cartoons. The picture perfect restaurant create opportunities for good photo op. The menu is very similar to Orlando store. I like the short rib. But this time, I have the oxtail pho. This pho has oxtail and slice beef. Highly recommended. We also got the pan fried dumplings to start. This great one to have and share. The other main dish is the fried pork belly vermicelli. This dish is not recommended since the fried pork belly is tough to bite. Overall we have good experience. Food is also good. Service is good. read more
There's a cute little local spot in the Westchase neighborhood of Tampa called Doodle Noodle Bar . The staff is friendly and helpful, the service is quick, and their Hei Hei Bowl is pretty good. They also have a full bar! The 2D cartoon graphics decorating the walls were unique and fun. Rumor has it that all of the drawings were sketched by the owner's cousin. We ordered the following: Pan Seared Chicken Dumplings Beef Jerky Hei Hei Bowl (GF) Cow-a-Bunga Bowl Kirin Ichiban Beer Iced Thai Tea (ask for them to make it less sweet) I wanted to give a score of 3.5. The main reason for this is that the food is average to slightly above average for my taste. Also, I have food allergies and sensitivities, so my dining options were extremely limited. read more
Trendy spot with decent noods! Located in west chase this fun spot has a lot to offer for a quick bite in a nice shopping area. Stopped in here on a whim and I wasn't disappointed! The food was flavorful and really enjoyed the indoor area. Plenty of fun areas to take some pictures if you looking for a new trendy shot! I will say I wasn't a fan of the alcoholic drink I got, wasn't very strong which is an opinion thing for me when I'm looking at their signature drink menu, but it was tasty! Solidly good pho! Randomly discovered this place when searching around for a noodle shop - I've been to one 2D cafe before so that's all I had to compare it to, and I'd say this lived up to what I expected it to be. Solid oxtail pho, could've used a little more flavor in the broth but the portion was HUGE with a good amount of protein and noodles. Enough so to have leftovers the next day. Great rangoons. Very attentive team members checked on us multiple times to make sure all was well. The ambiance is really fun and I especially loved all the fun book titles on the wall leading to the kitchen. Even my five year old nephew loved his noodles and will probably ask to come back! read more
Everything about this place screams Instagram post. The environment is adorable, everything is drawn and designed to look like it's in 2D. The service was wildly fast and super friendly. I had seen the location on Instagram and knew I wanted to try multiple items so we loaded up on 3 appetizers and each of us ordered our own pho. (We tried chicken and oxtail). All three of our appetizers were great and I'll order them all again, but the star for me was the pork roll. The pho was super good, I personally could have used more spice. (Please note: they have sauces on the table too so this can be adjusted). Drinks: you have to try their milk teas and lemonades. They are SO fun for photos with the black/white backdrops everywhere. Whoever designed the environment definitely has a sense of humor, look for the puns in the details of the wall while you wait for your food. This is worthy of becoming a regular at. read more
Been dying to try Doodle Noodle Bar and finally did tonight! We ordered pho and ramen noodles and it was . The atmosphere was so unique and was so well done, like eating in a drawing. Lauren was incredible too from when we ordered to anything we needed from our meal. We will definitely be back for the doodle noodle experience again! PS, the fire sauce is super spicy lol. read more

This place pleasantly surprised me. Walking in it felt weird but very clean. The place is all black and white with cartoon drawings all over the walls. It looked pretty trippy. You order up front and no one comes around to the tables so that was disappointing. There were plenty of gluten free options. I ordered the ox tail pho and the spring rolls and they were just phenomenal. I will be back for sure! read more
Super fun animated 2D restaurant serving Asian inspired dishes. When you walk in you can review the menu then go to the counter to order and receive your number for your table. Friendly staff to help if needed- Great variety of menu items, I was shopping after so nothing I need to take with me. Appetizers and dessert it is! Chicken Pan Seared Dumplings- YUM! I could have ordered another. Very crunchy edges and flavorful inside. I also ordered the beef jerky- sweet and savory! Definitely for sharing too sweet for me to eat alone. I also ordered the deep fried donuts for dessert. These were good I preferred the Strawberry for toppings out of it, the chocolate and the bavarian cream (I ordered all 3 on the side). My friend ordered the crab rangoon and veggie egg roll. I'm not a huge fan of crab rangoon but this one looked good - I had to try and YUM! Not too much on the filling- very crunchy outer shell, I didn't try the veggie roll but she enjoyed them. Just one thing that set differently for me was our food came out at different times. Our drinks came out last?? - Passion Fruit Lemonade - good as well not too sweet for being lemonade, they ran out of green tea, that's an option as well!- I seen a couple where his came out then about 5-7mins. (it was a long min.) hers came out? I would think his would be cold by the time hers arrived?!? Threw me off a tad All in all I will return to try a bowl! Now for the inside- you gotta check it all out- bathrooms too- amazing art and graphics to feel of a home in cartoon life. It's fun! After seeing it nonstop on Instagram, I finally made my way over to Doodle Noodle Bar. My friend and I walked in and lucky for us, there was no line or wait. I didn't know it was a spot where you order at the counter then sit, just a heads up if you're expecting table service. Service was ok. No one came to check on us during our lunch. We also found ourselves lost simply looking for utensils.. this is where you realize colors matter! Ha. For food, I ordered the House Noodles + Krab Rangoon with the Passion Tea as my drink. I love noodles, so I was excited to take a bite. Unfortunately, my noodles were bland. I tried adding the chili flakes and the Sriracha but nothing elevated the dish. Then the Krab Rangoon was mostly 90% cream cheese, so this was also a skip for us after two bites. The passion tea was my favorite item and I would definitely reorder it! Overall, the vibe is cute and makes you feel like you're in a cartoon. I personally won't be coming back because the food didn't live up to the hype for me but would recommend if you're in the mood to grab a Insta-worthy shot and a yummy tea. Rating: 2.5 read more
Doodle Noodle Bar was fun to check out in the Westchase area in Tampa. It's an area we haven't been to in a while so nice to see some different businesses. Doodle Noodle Bar has inside and outside seating. The best place is inside so you can see all of the art on the walls. It's all black and white so make sure if you want to take pics to wear something bright so your pics can pop. I was happy to see they have a counter service to order. The owners also have a restaurant in Orlando that is called Twenty Pho Hour and when I went you had to order on the iPad and it took forever. Maybe bc we went when it first opened. I'm glad we didn't have to do that. I ordered the bubba shrimp bowl and beef jerky. Since this is Asian fusion they have Laos Sausage and Laos Beef Jerky. I liked my bubba shrimp bowl and asked for more sauce. The beef jerky was especially tough which i know beef jerky is but not the ones at Laos restaurants. I think the service was ok. Since it's counter service, they don't really have any service when you sit at the table. They come out to deliver your food but if you need something, make sure to chase them down when you see them. Bc it's a bit of a task Definitely check it out to see the art and get a bite. I think this is def a fun little diff place. I wanted to like this place. It looks cool, right? That's the best thing about this place. Everything else is either mediocre or disappointing. I got some spring rolls. They were tiny, about the size of my pinky coupled with a generic sweet chili sauce. It was a lack of lackluster for what you pay. The drinks are pathetic. I came for lunch and was embarrassed for the restaurant. I got a tiny plastic cup loaded with ice for $10. It tasted ok but was practically void of alcohol. I can't imagine it's any better for dinner. I got a bowl of pho. Apparently, the sides of bean sprouts, lime, jalapeño, etc, which are supposed to come with pho have to be requested. Or, in my case, I had to request it twice because it never came out with the pho. The pho was fine. It wasn't bad Overall, I had a disappointing lunch for 2 people with drinks for more than $70. First off, the atmosphere is very cool. I love the 2D art of the entire restaurant. I ordered the dumpling bowl and used Offline. Food was plentiful and delicious! They also immediately knew what Offline was and were very pleasant. read more
Doodle Noodle was super fun to visit. The inside is like being in a real life cartoon! Everything is 2D! You order at the counter and take a seat at a table with a number. The pho ranges from about $15+ and they have boba teas and other fun stuff! I loved the teas they were super good. I do think it was over priced though. The pho took a while to come to the table and they were out of bean sprouts to add to it on the side, which was a bit disappointing. Overall it was good. I would try something different next time it was a bit bland. I would probably try a Ramen dish. Super fun place I would recommend to try it once! read more

Ive dined in for the first time in a while. Inside the store was quite dirty. We were the only ones in store and when we walked in, it looked like all the employees were just chatting amongst themselves while the store looked a mess. 30 minutes went by still waiting for our food, a new family came but instead of taking their order right then they decided to clean instead. our food took way longer than needed. We were planing on dining in but only got to 20% of our food before packing up. One of the staff members previously used the bathroom and clogged it and making the restaurant smell horrible; also they got my drink wrong three times in that onesitting. being there was just overwhelming, letdown after letdowns it was extreme,especially with us being the only ones in the restaurant pretty much. I will not be eating here again, unfortunately . read more

This is definitely a cool place to hang and take pictures! I would recommend going, at least once it's a cool idea. However, they have a lot of young kids, running the counter in the kitchen and even management. I'm not sure if that's the best idea. The food was really mediocre, I had to throw a bunch of spices and Sriracha in the mix. I'm happy that they had the trio spice tray, and the Sriracha readily on the table. The items for the food aren't expensive at all. They range from a dollar to four dollars. And they give you a lot of food already and there's really no need to add extra noodles or anything like that. read more
The ambiance is beautiful, something I've never seen before. A whole restaurant to look like you're inside doodle book. Once we got there, there was a line extending outside the restaurant. I like to see busy restaurant because it shows people like it and the business is doing good. I ordered the Too Many Dumplings and I'm no Pho expert but this seemed more like ramen than actual Pho. Great food, service, and atmosphere! Can't wait to try more from them. Went here with family on a Sunday night. The restaurant had a steady flow of customers but we were able to walk right up and order. We ordered quickly at the counter and the person who helped us had wonderful food and drink suggestions. Our food came out quickly after we found our seats. Everything was fresh and flavorful with large portions. I was able to take home leftovers that made for a nice lunch the next day. My favorite dish was the house noodle bowl and I liked my drink that the staff had recommended. My only critiques are that if the restaurant was busier we would have had to wait outside which would have been a challenge for older family members. We also sat close to the front and felt a little crowded due to limited space at the counter where you need to order. Overall good experience from a newer restaurant in the area! read more

Came back to try again and brought our family that also has been wanting to try this place. Have to say that aside from the decor, I'm still just not impressed. And I think that was the consensus from all parties at the table. We went in on Easter Sunday so they were only 2 other customers when we arrived. Ordered something different this time -- the veggie pho. We also got the egg rolls, peppa pig bowl, oh so goood, Princess peach and Thai tea to drink. The pho was very bland, I added some of the hoisin sauce at the table to give it more flavor. Egg rolls and the drinks were the winners! read more
