Delicious food. No matter what you order. I recommend the barbecue spare ribs with pork fried rice and shrimp egg rolls.

I have not been enthralled by the available Chinese Takeout in Tampa, and the one closest to me that I was used to... closed. So this is probably the next closest. I did not order ahead, as I wanted to check them out first. I arrived, saw that there was no entry... called and placed an order for General Tso's Shrimp, with white rice. I asked that it be packaged with sauce on the side, and in a way that it would not make a mess... I was on my motorcycle and planned on carrying it in my saddlebags. Ordering was easy, and I paid the meal easily also... credit cards accepted. Order arrived quickly, and I got it out of the interesting dropbox they use to prevent Covid transmission. Pretty good idea, actually. Loaded it into my saddlebags and zoomed home. Got home, checked it out, took photos and then sat down to eat. It was hot, shrimp were faily crispy, sauce was adequate with a tiny bit of spice to it. Rice was good. Broccoli was perfectly cooked! Portions were LARGE... lol. More than enough for one person. It was as good if not better.. than most of the takeout places I have found in Tampa. Pretty much satisfied with it... it was a good lunch! I will eat here again, when I am too lazy to cook what I want... lol! Next time will ask for more heat in the sauce though. read more

The service was great, person at the front was quick and friendly. Having said that, I'm super let down by the order, asked for extra sauce for dumplings, was completely fine with paying for it. It wasn't in the order. It was takeout, so I'm not going back for sauce, but it really soured the experience. Haven't even had them cause it was so frustrating to see them without the extra. Speaking as a sauce person, it's truly enough to ruin the meal. Food might be fine, I can't say, but to my fellow sauce peeps - check your orders before you go. read more

whenever I want Chinese food, Hong Kong restaurant comes in mind. the restaurant is mainly for Togo although there are few tables in the dining area. I don't think it's good ideas to dine in there. No ambianc, No atmosphere eating there but the foods are plenty and GOOD. Services are fast and professional. highly recommended read more

I'm so glad I found this spot! During the pandemic they were operating through a window and I'd often see a line on the weekends. I finally decided to give them a shot when their dining area opened and I was NOT disappointed. Fast casual Chinese food isn't a challenge to find in Tampa, but I haven't been satisfied with any of the ones I've tried. With Panda Express across the street, it's easy to over look Hong Kong Restaurant. But their serving size is generous, their food is delicious, and you can order and be out of there in 10-15mintues! I love their General Tso's Chicken, and they package their Sweet and Sour Pork with the sauce separate to keep the chicken crispy which is a nice touch. Ok so this place has that good Chinese carry out. Not spectacular but just good. Their shrimp egg rolls are pretty tasty I love a good egg roll. We got beef and broccoli not a fan just of the taste. Shrimp fried rice was good. The orange chicken was good too many orange peels not a deal breaker. The steamed dumplings were good too. I would definitely order again. Complete garbage service! Tried to Uber Eats but waited for hour and a half while they were cooking food! Turns out they didn't have Uber Eats credit card and Uber driver had to call support service and figure for them! Once food came it was cold and order was missing a lot! Chicken nuggets taste like McDonalds nuggets and garlic chicken was missing garlic, Mongolian beef has more onions than meat. I would never never never never never never ever ever feed this garbage food to street dogs. read more

I've lived in the area for the past 10 years - this place has always seemed kind of sketchy but was the only place open and full of patrons too! Ordered a shrimp egg roll and an order of fries - came up to $4.60-something. Gave my card but the young girl got a quick whispering to by an adult lady employee and told me she'd have to charge me .30 cents to meet the charge minimum of $5.00. Kind of taken aback to ask to be charged and not get a product in return. The girl couldn't be more than 15 so I told her I would be charged for nothing, so I just added a drink to my order. Since every Chinese place is basically the same, I really judge them on their pick-up time, the temperature of the food and quality of the food. I called in my order, got there a few minutes early and everything was ready. I feel like no matter what you order at any Chinese restaurant, it's ready in ten minutes. The staff inside spoke pretty good English and got me in and out in a few minutes. When I got home my food was still hot and smelled/looked just like it should. The portions of most of my food were about normal size except for my pepper steak, which just lacked size for the price that I paid. Everything else tasted good and we were satisfied with our choices. As far as price is considered, it is about the same as every other Chinese place in the area and the selection is a wide variety. read more

I've been ordering from this location for years, and for inexpensive Chinese take out, this is probably what you're looking for. The food is very consistent, which in my opinion is what people look for in a Chinese take out joint. There are a few seats inside, but it's a bit crowded and the decor isn't the most flattering, so just order to pick up and enjoy at home. Lo mein, General Tso's, Szechuan Beef, they have all the classics you're probably looking for. One dish that I gave a chance on that I enjoyed quite a bit was the Singapore Mei Fun, a mixed chicken and seafood dish with rice noodles and just a touch of yellow curry. On the downside, as another reviewer mentioned the English spoken by most of the employees isn't the best. I find that for the best results I show up in person (because they cook up everything rather quickly) and order face-to-face, then take a small walk to the Publix next door for any drinks I might want. By the time I return, my food is almost always ready right there and then or at most takes another five minutes. read more

For quite a while has been our favorite. The fried rice is the only real equivalent of genuine fried rice we've ever found. Love that the chef honors our special menu requests. Don't know if they have a new cook or what but our last two visits were not exemplary. Chicken Mei Fun had many tough ligaments included; Orange Chicken was hard and tough, more dough than chicken, perhaps yesterday's?; Beef with Chinese Vegetables ended up being bok choy, celery and carrots (for the Chinese vegetables). The beef was impossible to chew it was so tough! Agree the egg rolls are not desirable, no filling, mostly greasy fried dough. The fried rice, a family favorite, had an unusual grease flavor and texture. The Chicken Teriyaki sticks remain excellent even though the price went up and the portion decreased. Hoping this will get cleared up and they return to their normal excellence. Great people! Always smiling and helpful! We'll return and try again but they gotta fix the issues. read more

Not bad. I ordered shrimp egg foo young and fried rice. Was hesitant because of the location. They were pretty busy but that's probably because of the day. Overall it was pretty good.
