Leaf-peeping drive via Dorset quarries. Stopped in Dorset Bakery for a quick snack. Terrific coffee and blueberry muffins, plus friendly service.

Sit for Coffee, grab a cupcake with a friend, have a lunch with a colleague, gather with family for a cozy breakfast or lunch. From great coffee to homemade cupcakes, cookies, pastries, cakes, breakfast to lunch and more! This is THE place to go!! Kind staff, indoor & outdoor seating. Indoor is cozy and comfortable. Ample seating inside as well for 40+ people (I counted chairs ). You can't go wrong!

I am so glad I turned around to eat here! Inside is super clean and welcoming. The coleslaw was amazing!! Dogs are allowed on patio as well. Not a lot of seating options inside but has a big patio. Dogs are allowed on the patio.

Very alert and helpful waitress Ruth. Chef Sheri created the outrageously good fresh Garganelli mushroom blend pasta, with Marsala cream sauce, better than anything we've had in France, Italy, or Switzerland. Ask Ruth bout wine choices for the entree, either a resplendent by Erath Pinot noir or a Joseph Mellot sincerite.

I know there's a new chef, and unfortunately the difference was noticeable. My favorite salmon dish came out undercooked and mushy, so I couldn't eat it. My friend's medium-rare steak was overcooked. I also ordered a glass of wine that was forgotten. After reminding our server, she told me they were out of it, so I ordered something else, but it didn't arrive until I was almost done eating. We were also surprised that the bread, which used to be complimentary, is now an extra charge. I'm hoping this was just an off night, but after this experience I can't recommend the restaurant the way I used to. It's disappointing to see a place I always looked forward to and confidently recommended fall so far below the standard it once had.

They still have specific male- female bathrooms which could be made available to both or 100 of the new sex orientations. My only problem is their hours. Most breakfast places seat diners during their open hours. If it says 1:30pm then the staff can get out by 2:30. This restaurant tends to push people away - who are there for brunch - at about 12:15. Not sure the owners know how much business they are actually turning away since it's not apparent that once someone has been turned away over an hour before their end of day never bother to return. Also now that tips aren't technically taxed I would think employees would like a full day of work. Perhaps they need 2 shifts of wait staff and/or open for breakfast at 8:00am rather than 7:00. I moved to Manchester 3 yrs ago and have been baffled by the shortage of people willing to work full time or employers willing to add part-time workers on their busy days (Friday through Monday) There must be a way to keep staff and accommodate early afternoon brunch (10-2pm) diners. Manchester is basically a resort town that has kept its small town feel - which is a positive - but most restaurants in the area depend on seasonal diners. (Ski season, Fall foliage (leaf peepers, Summer equestrian, musical, play events and quiet during "mud season" so many businesses take a break some time during April/May. Manchester is an odd duck of a town - more New England than upstate NY or E. Pennsylvania. Some old locals insist on calling lunch - dinner and dinner supper which just confuses anyone who isn't a member of the DAR. (Daughters of the American Revolution) I have friends here who had relatives come over on the Mayflower - it was obviously a VERY crowded boat.

Stopped in on Saturday midday thinking I was going to get a latte and maple creemee. However when I get there, I saw some guys drinking beers at the bar which piqued my interest so I took another look at the menu. Why not get an Affogatotini? Caffeine and a maple creemee all in one! This was DELISH! The girls that work here are so nice. I visited twice in the same day and both times this place was swamped. They took it in stride and still had a smile on their face while working through the line. The Maple Reserve offers ice cream / creemees, coffee, pastries and serves alcohol. They have a little area where you can also buy pure Vermont maple syrup, jams, sauces, small kitchen accessories, etc.

I saw one woman chilling on her laptop who had bought 3 things for herself: a cup of ice cream, some sort of cocktail, and a boba drink. She looked like she was loving life. Made with espresso from locally roasted coffee beans, the affogato with maple creemee was absolutely divine. They drizzled more maple syrup atop the creemee. It wasn't too sweet and just perfectly creamy, as the name suggests. I was pleased to see that there were many gluten free options, including the waffles, which come on sticks like popsicles. Would make the 3 hour trip just to try those one day. The Maple Reserve is definitely Aya-approved.
