This restaurant is lovely. My mom and I had been passing by for a while since we live nearby and were dying to try it. The ambiance is classy and comfortable. They have really neat chandeliers that are cool to look at The service is great. Friendly and accommodating. ("If there's something that you want but don't see on the menu, just ask and we can probably make it for you!") But... THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE! The specials are flavorful and exciting, and nothing beats homemade pasta!! I've been here twice and ordered the papardelle and the lasagna, both were fantastic. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. We were so excited to order the burratta only to find out they ran out of it. 3 hours into opening for dinner they ran out of food! Then during dinner we ordered 3 sides, one of which was mashed potatoes. They ran out of mashed potatoes, and our server forgot to put in the order for the other 2 sides! So we got no sides. He was really old so we didn't make a fuss about it. For the prices this place charges, one expects a more upscale experience. It definitely wasn't. I'll give it 3 stars because whatever food we did end up getting tasted good. Considering he forgot to place the order with the kitchen for our sides, we thought he might comp our dessert or something, but that didn't happen. The delicious bread comes with a small bowl of fresh olives & olive oil to dip. Great start! The appetizer we ordered was whole bellied baked clams. Perfection. I had the spinach & ricotta gnocchi & my daughter had the home made pappardelle & I tried that as well & both amazing (melt in your mouth). Desert apple strudel w a scoop of vanilla. The meal was to die for & we will definitely be back!! The owner Tony made us feel like family and the waiter Jeff ran after us b/c he wanted to give us a try of the PB chocolate cheesecake. Took several of my business associates from Pierce & Pierce here after reading a dazzling review in the New York Times. The oysters were superb, but at one point my colleague Patrick turned to me and asked if Ivanka Trump was sitting over at the table in the corner, and I had to laugh, because why would Ivanka Trump be here at Dorsia, c'mon, think Patrick. But I digress, there is an idea of a Dorsia, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real Dorsia, only an entity, something illusory, and though Dorisa can hide its cold gaze and the maitre d' can shake your hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense Dorsia's lifestyles are probably comparable: Dorsia simply is not there. It is hard for me to make sense of Dorsia on any given level. The restaurant is fabricated, an aberration. It is not a noncontingent human being. Its personality is sketchy and unformed, its heartlessness goes deep and is persistent. Dorsia's conscience, pity, hopes disappeared a long time ago (probably at Harvard) if they ever did exist. I've eaten at this restaurant a few times and I have never been disappointed. Family owned with a lot of character. You'll need a reservation for the weekend. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable; service was impeccable. Start with a Strawberry Basil Martini and an order of Zucchini Blossoms or an Eggplant "Meatball" (it's a vegetarian meatless eggplant ball, but you would never know the difference). Their fresh Pappardelle pasta is delicious. Also try their Ravioli of the Moment, it's fresh and features different fillings. I haven't tried any of their desserts, I never have room. We have dined at this restaurant twice and absolutely loved it both times. I got excited for the stuffed squash blossoms each time! The fresh-made pasta is fantastic, with great texture. Pappardelle is my favorite. The service was also fantastic both times. I will continue to recommend this restaurant to friends and will be back! Great bar ( we LOVE eating at a great bar and this one is top notch), food is innovative but familiar, delicious and interesting and the service is impeccable. I am a creature of habit and prefer to always order the same thing especially if it's amazing ie. Ravioli, Veal Chop, fresh pasta or seafood but here I am ordering new things and enjoying them each time. I grabbed a quick dinner on a Friday Night. No reservation but they were able to seat us because of a cancellation. Staff was friendly and attentive. We skipped the appetizers and just went for the main course. I had Veal Marsala. It was tasty and well prepared. Also tried Spicy Broccoli Rabe' as a side which was very good. The Scallops got a good review as well. If I had any complaints it would be the cocktails were a bit pricey at $13, and the valet parking was probably unnecessary in a small strip center. read more

went there a few weeks ago, we had a party of 8. Had a reservation and when walked in the hostess, who i believe is owners wife was not pleasant. We were seated since we arrived first and waited about 10 minutes before rest of our party joined and you would have thought maybe some water to the table would have been nice, but nothing. I had the veal chop parmigiana which i will say was good but it was $42. I mean i understand value but it wasnt $42 worth of great veal chop. Along with the veal chop came linguine that i ordered which came in a tiny bowl, maybe there was two fork fulls. My wife had veal piccata and same size bowl of pasta. Ok her mail was $30 but lets be real, for those prices dont you think that more than two fork fulls of pasta is fair? When it comes to your father's 90th birthday you know everything has to be just right. Well Dorsia, Antonia, and all the staff rose to the occasion. This intimate place has the "chops" of any larger restaurant but here you are treated like family. Every need is immediately attended to. And the food was delizioso! The eggplant meatball is meatless but is a must have. It really tastes like a meatball. The flounder francaise was fresh and prepared to perfection. My dad thoroughly enjoyed the chicken marsala. At 90 the man usually has some complaints. I mean nothing is ever perfect. Well last night there were no complaints... None! The pasta and veggies were cooked just right and the sauce was homemade. I was going to stay home and wait for my fiance to call, but when my best friend's fiance said we could get in here, I couldn't say no. It looks exactly like Barcadia on the inside, but I could be wrong, I was on a lot of lithium. Because of the coronavirus my husband and I do not want to go out for lunch or dinner. I called one of my favorite restaurants for dinner and asked if they have take out with curb service. They said yes. I ordered dinner and the time I would like to pick it up. My order was ready at my designated time. One of the waiter came out to hand me my order with gloves on. The dinner was still hot when we returned home (approximately 20 mins) and was as delicious as it would have been if we were in the restaurant itself. read more

This place was recommended by a friend, and went not having much in the way expectations. Was very pleasantly surprised. It's located in an unassuming location, on federal highway in Boca, and small but nicely decorated, including funky chandeliers with wine glasses. The hostess was great, very pleasant and accommodating. We had to wait a little for our reservation as it was crowded, and she checked on us a few times, offered different options for tables, and then checked on us during the meal: really tried very hard to make sure we were taken care of, and her efforts were much appreciated. There is a small bar, seating for about 8, and you can eat at the bar if you wish, we had an appetizer there while waiting for a table. Service was good, courteous and welcoming. We had the grilled calamari over peppered grilled pineapple appetizer with a type of chutney that was amazing; the squid ink seafood past with tomatoes, garlic, shrimp and calamari was great other than the calamari was slightly chewy; the burned garlic side with olive oil and garlic was outstanding. Wine list and cocktails were ok, adequate. Even though it's a small parking lot, they have complimentary valet parking. We enjoyed our experience very much and will be back. Middle of the road prices, just what you'd expect in a restaurant this good (It's getting interesting). 4. Did I say it's not noisy? (Oh what a relief it is to be able to talk without shouting. (I'm getting to the food...patience). 5. The menu...everything from melt-in-your-mouth ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers, to goatcheese/mushroom filled chicken, to remarkable bucatini, finished off with house-made cheesecake and mousse cake (screw the diet). I always go for the rotating ravioli as the chef always has a creative and unique take. The wine menu is succinct but well rounded. They called us day of at 6:30pm to tell us that we didn't return their call by 7 o clock ; when we called back at 7:15. We just got off work. I'm sorry. It's a Wednesday. We work, we CALLED, AND CONFIRMED 2 days earlier. Are you kidding me?!?? The only thing this woman offered us... was to show up, & we can hopefully find seating at the bar, or an outdoor table would be open.. I'm disgusted, I'm outraged. At least offer disgruntled customers another option. A bottle of wine at the bar, a free appetizer, anything to make up for YOUR MISTAKE. I had the pleasure to dine at an fine Italian restaurant last night. We have been living in the Boca/Delray area for the last 4 years and we finally found a restaurant that feels like you're in An intimate Italian restaurant in Roma. Most everything is prepared on premises. The sauces are not over done. There is subtlety in the foods. Pasta are home made, everything we had was made with special care and any additional food specifics can be accommodated, because it's all made fresh!!! We started with the house speciality, eggplant meatballs as our appetizer. Perfect sauce and great meatball too. Then had soup and salad, very fresh and one of the specials of the day. We shared a bucatini pasta dish. Perfect sauce and slightly al dente. Followed by a great main dish of Snapper Livornese and my wife had a prosciutto wrapped chicken. Very special night, great staff and the owner checked in often to see how we enjoyed the meal. Treat yourself to something extra special, you will not be disappointed. I'm on the verge of tears by the time we arrive at Dorsia, since I'm positive we won't have a decent table. But we do, and the relief washes over me in an awesome wave. With me is my supposed fiancé Evelyn, her cousin Vanden and her boyfriend Stash (both artists), Timothy Bryce, Luis Carruthers and Courtney Rawlinson. Right as the appetizers arrived I was trying to explain to Bryce that there are a lot more important problems in the world than Sri Lanka to worry about. Well, we have to end apartheid, for one, slow down the nuclear arms race, stop terrorism and world hunger. We have to provide food and shelter for the homeless and oppose racial discrimination and promote civil rights, while also promoting equal rights for women. We have to encourage a return to traditional moral values. Most importantly, we have to promote a general social concern and less materialism in young people.
