Always appreciate the food and service we receive at Dos Amigos. It's a nice and clean Mom & Pop Mexican restaurant. Their food is fresh with great flavor. . Tonight we ordered their Chicken Fajitas (Sautéed onions, bell peppers and tomatoes, with tortillas, guacamole, and sour cream on the side) and Camarones Dos Amigos (Sautéed shrimp mixed with onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, and cilantro mixed in a special sauce). Both were served with rice and beans. The entrees were well sized and the sides were also large. We both had a lot to bring home. I had a very tasty Cadillac Margarita. My significant tried a shredded beef hard taco. Definitely give them a try! They also offer their fresh made salsas (hot or mild) for sale. We've bought it often, it's really good.

Found ourselves on E Trent and looking for a place to have dinner. Dos Amigos is not a trendy fancy looking establishment on the outside but we thought to check it out anyways. Kinda run down and out of the way, but... it looked inviting. One of those places that would serve tried and true good food. Just a few customers were there and we were greeted by a sweet woman immediately. Take a seat anywhere, she said. Quick to bring chips and salsa and attend us. We ordered a fruit margarita and Taquitos appetizer. I had the fajita taco salad. Hubby had Carne Asada Plate. Both were served up fresh and timely. Check out portion size in photos. Delicious. The guacamole was incredible. I usually don't go for it. But this was a bit different and light with some pico mixed in. We enjoyed our little find down by the tracks. Prices are good as well. Check out dos Amigos. You won't be disappointed.

Covid time dine-in review: Not a Mexican food aficionado by any stretch but lunch at Dos Amigos was fresh and tasty and seemed authentic. This is a family-owned restaurant on E. Trent and we were served by the owner, Juan, who was soft-spoken and kind. Some tables were blocked to facilitate social distancing. Juan and the cook behind the counter were wearing masks (although they did occasionally slide down their noses, Covid problems amiright). The free chips and salsa were really good. My friend had a veggie burrito and I had one of the lunch specials, three cod tacos. Our portions were very generous. Burrito was huge and full of freshly sautéed vegetables. My tacos also had nice ingredients fresh veggies along with the fish (fried) and came with large sides of rice and beans. Both entrees came with guacamole and sour cream. Good flavors, fair prices. And we took plenty of leftovers home.

I have driven past this place for years and have always wanted to try it. I got chicken enchiladas and it came with beans & rice. Chips and salsa also came with it which was nice and the chips were nice and crispy not stale, and the salsa was mid. The chicken enchiladas were also very mid! With that being said it was mid in a very good way! Everything was $13 and it was a very good portion size. I will definitely be a returning customer. If you want mid Mexican food for a good price and good service this is your place.

The reason you go back to a place is because you liked it (thank you, Capt Obvious). Been over 10 years since the last visit, but it was as great as it was in memory. Madre/Padre y la familia joint in a tough location, but they have persevered. As strange as this might seem, if you are over 40--and you have a loving other--this is an okay place for a quiet date lunch. The booth we sat in had hand-hewn wooden bench seats which were pretty cool, and were comfortable despite my bony a**. Anyhoo, great gringo Mex and enjoyed with my beautiful wifey. I love how they give you two distinctly different complimentary salsas with your meal; one wicked hot, and one nice and mild for the tenderfoots. Pictures will tell the food story. And it was a good story...

My wife and I were out doing chores driving to get groceries and we decided to eat before we shop... crusin down Trent and I said pull in here! Dos Amigos!! The place was empty... so we sat down anywhere .. the waiter tended to us promptly and brought out chips and salsa... the hot salsa was dynamite... heat that carried with a light lime flavor... it was hot.. some of the best salsa I've had... it was good... I decided to try a new avenue besides my usual enchilada dinner.... I had a burrito #9 on the menu it was huge. Covered in a sauce it was stuffed with ground beef and peppers sour cream beans on and on it was a great choice! I was so stuffed when we got to winco to shop I asked my wife if we could take a 15 minute power nap which actually turned into 30!! It was good food.. great little restaurant and the waiter was nice and food came quick .. I recommend this place!!

Based on some of the reviews my wife and I decided to give Dos Amigos a try. I ordered the California Burrito and my wife ordered the Chicken & Rice Burrito. The California was very fresh tasting but it was a bit lacking in the amount of carne asada inside. I am told that the chicken and rice burrito was pretty good but nothing that knocked her socks off. Although a few other writers noted very good rice and beans I found them to be pretty standard and nothing out of the ordinary. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. No issues there. If we were in the area and had a hankering for Mexican food we would likely drop in to try other options on the menu. After this visit I would say overall this is a pretty standard, decent place to get your south of the boarder food fix. Just nothing special.

Was a 10/10... now extremely disappointing…read more I hate writing this because the first time I came here, it was honestly a 10/10. The food was amazing, the people were great, and I was excited to come back. Yesterday, my girlfriend and I planned a date night and decided to order from here again. Since we have kids, we did pickup. We drove about 25 minutes, then waited another 25 minutes because the line was packed which I didn't mind because the food was that good the first time. But this time? Completely different experience. I ordered a bean burrito with cheese... and it had no beans. Just rice and cheese in a tortilla. Then the nachos, honestly, for $27, this was unacceptable. Dry chips, unmelted cheese, some tomatoes thrown on top, no meat, no beans just thrown together with no care. It looked and tasted like an afterthought. What made it worse is the lack of accountability. I tried calling multiple times last night and again this morning no answer. Calls just ring or don't go through. I even tried calling from different numbers. Nothing. At this point, it's not even about the money it's the principle. Mistakes happen, but not being able to reach anyone or have them make it right is frustrating. I really wanted to keep supporting this place because the first experience was great, but this completely missed the mark. If you go, just be aware the quality and consistency might not be what you expect.

UPDATE see my original review below. I just read through all…read morethe comments and actually saw some after I wrote my review saying the same thing customer saying the same thing about the same food and how is bland and it apparently this restaurant does nothing about these reviews and doesn't listen to us as customers. I have absolutely no confidence that this restaurant is gonna survive. I would bet you that they're operating on a negative profit margin every month right now. And even with that they just still don't get it that they have to change their food and up their game. It looks like what other people are saying on here is that their sauces are not authentically ground from the peppers and everything that normally people do when they make Mexican food. That the meat is horrible. That they are not seasoning it so whoever's doing the cooking obviously is not somebody that knows how to cook and taste their own food. How can you make chicken like that for a burrito for crying out loud this is all you do in life is put chicken and burritos and tacos but you don't ever taste the meat? You can't tell that it's like not juicy? It has no flavor? It taste like you froze it and then microwaved it or put it in a crockpot without flavor? I just don't get it. You can see my original review below. And just like I said before it looks like this restaurant does not ever read the reviews because what you will see is that this review of mine will be on here for years and they'll never be any response online openly from the manager to address this issue. I'm on a road trip from California so I have Mexican food all the time there and so I decided to have a chicken burrito from this place. I ordered takeout and if they said, do you want sour cream on it I said yes I just said go ahead and put everything on it. I just want a good chicken burrito so I got this chicken burrito inside of this package and the tortilla was soggy and it was not like a grilled tortilla like toasty. The chicken meat inside of it was absolutely dry, overcooked, and really bland. It almost tasted like somebody had thrown it in a crockpot for eight hours and left it cause it just soaked all the fat out of it. It wasn't tender or anything. I was strongly suggest that that would be a number one priority at this restaurant is to not serve that kind of chicken meat. It's not good in any way shape or form. The only kind of chicken meat you should be serving out that chicken in the burritos is fried grilled in your kitchen right before right when you make the burrito and then cut it up and put it in the burrito and it needs to be juicy and not overcooked which means that you cannot freeze the chicken. Now that I think about it, it taste like the chicken was previously frozen, which took some moisture out of it and then it was crockpot ted which took the rest of the fat out of it, and then they served it in the burrito. It failed in all the categories, and I don't understand that if somebody's gonna put this much money into a restaurant why they would serve something like that. On my road trip I actually had a burrito from that gas station called Maverick or Mavic. The burrito at that place was superior than the one I got from this place. It should not be that way and I'm not saying this to be mean I'm being very honest about it with a ton of experience growing up in California with Mexican food all the time. So what I'm saying is I also noticed that I pay a little over $15 for this burrito. Isn't this Montana? Why am I paying above California prices for this burrito? I get the same level of burrito and grilled meat flavorful and good for $13 and something change in California in an expensive city. So tonight, I was very disappointed. I got a burrito that had meat in it that was not prepared right that was bland in a soggy tortilla where it was like pulled chicken and it was barely edible. On top of everything I was overcharged. Let me think? In California people that would work in that restaurant would have medical benefits and get paid a minimum of $20 an hour. With that taking into account, the burrito is about $13.50 in California and it was prepared better. Is there some reason why this burrito was over $15? I was really shocked and I just don't understand it. I would never come back to this place again if I lived here. These are just my opinions and I'm being truthful and I'm not saying this. I'm not your competitor. I'm just somebody traveling through that has experiencing this type of food their whole life. There is much better out there and you gotta step up your game or you're gonna wind up going out of business like a lot of restaurants.
