My family and I ate here today. Hubby & I had the chicken tacos that the owner's mom (Carlos) used to make for him as a child (after school). They were killer!!! Our daughter had the black bean soup. It was perfect...sooo good. I love spice so Carlos brought me over some crazy hot stuff...3 kinds of hot sauce. The food isn't spicy but if you want to add it, they have it. The food was decent although everything was a la carte even the chips and salsa; They were good so there's that. I had the chicken enchiladas which looked like they were covered in split pea soup. The sauce was tasty but there was so much of it I had no idea what I was eating. The chicken was fine assuming it was chicken. The tortillas were straight out of the package. They didn't even warm them up before wrapping the chicken(?). I have to say overall it was the WORST enchilada dish I've ever had. It just wasn't enchiladas. It was basically cold chicken tacos doused in an emulsified tomatillo sauce. I added a side of beans and rice which were perfectly fine, but again not included. When you're paying $20/30 plus for a dish you'd think they'd include something cheap like rice and beans with the dish. The ENVIRONMENT: It was cold and drafty in the restaurant. I noticed many customers wearing their winter coats while eating. The staff didn't seem to be particularly happy to be at work. Although, they did an adequate job. The chicken in the fajitas was cut too thick and had a strange, almost plastic taste. Service was terrible - with only 3 tables filled (no surprise given the food quality) and plenty of staff, the time for service was WAY too long. At a venue where restaurants need to provide at least decent food to stay in business, this place would either amp up the game or close. In PC, there's always a sucker to walk in and pay the price. Modern vibe in the Canyons Plaza with well executed Mexican food with a fresh twist. We sat at the bar and shared the Barbacoa Nachos and Tortilla Soup. The soup was nicely executed and tasted very fresh without the overpowering tomato tang often experienced at other establishments. The Barbacoa Nachos was a shareable plate but surprisingly very generous as we thought it was appropriate for a party of 5! We enjoyed the food and attentive service so much we forgot to take photos! We ordered two skinny margaritas and had lots of ice and not too much alcohol. I get the " Utah" pour but give me a break! My son ordered the Barbacoa tacos and liked them. My husband ordered the tortilla soup and was good. My husband and I shared a fajitas with chicken and carne asada. The tortillas tasted like a package of mission tortillas. The chicken and carne asada had no taste. We couldn't tell if the chicken was under or overcooked but was very hard to cut and tasted awful. The chef came out and offered to make us new chicken. By this time we were just really disgusted with everything. We left with paying $ 135 including tip. Not worth the drive, or money. Moral of this story. Don't go! Had a side salad and all it was just lettuce cut up with dressing - not even croutons, nor tomatoes. The tacos were ok. The "chef " went to many tables with certain patrons to see how everything was but not once stopped by my table - although he passed by several times, but failed to acknowledge us. Then he and two other managers? stood chatting by our table / but again never acknowledged us. I asked our server who he was and that's how I found out he was the chef! Checked out this new place while we're in town over Labor Day weekend. We chose this place because a person in our group is vegan and I could tell easily from the menu what was vegan/what could be made vegan by request. Super rare to find this in Utah explicitly shown on a menu, so this was great. Service: We had a reservation booked for about a month ahead. When we showed up the two women at the host stand seemed very unenthusiastic. One of them walked us to a booth inside, not even asking if we wanted inside or outside. She said the outside was full, which was odd because the whole right side patio was completely open..the table she brought us to was a 4 person booth for 5 people. Immediately after sitting down I knew we weren't going to fit 5 adults in this booth comfortably (2 being 6ft tall men), and they are raised so you can't just pull up a chair. We asked another very kind waitress if we could move to a table meant for 5 people that was right next to us, and she said of course. The host came back around and was visibly irritated we moved. Very odd all around. Hope it was just a bad day and others don't encounter the same experience. Our waitress Michelle came over and was a breath of fresh air. You can tell she's been in the industry awhile and knew what she was doing. Took drinks and food right off the bat, knew the menu well, even recommended against a drink because it has been sent back and she didn't want us to order something we may not like. She brought out the drinks promptly, made sure we always had water and what we needed, and checked up on us consistently. Michelle is what every new restaurant in town needs to succeed! Food: Overall, the food was good, but nothing I would write home about. It's in Canyons so we expected elevated resort prices, but they still seem high for what it is. My sister order the Cauliflower molé dish that was vegan and it was just steamed cauliflower in a sauce, nothing special for $28. My Mahi fish tacos were less than this. The guac was $18 for a very small serving size as a shared app. Just a basic guac you would get at a Chilis. I could maybe understand if you were doing table service and making it on the spot, but even the custom table side guac in Scottsdale at the Mission is less than this. Overall: It's a nice addition to the Park City area, and if you have people in your group that have food allergies or avoidances they clearly label what they can order. It's nicer than the fast casual places but not formal dining like some of the places on Main. A decent option for aprés ski in the village. I think the pricing needs to be reevaluated overall though to truly make this somewhere we would come back. We got more for our money with apps, drinks, and 6 sushi rolls at YukiYama downtown than we got for tacos here. read more

Ambiance is nice, margaritas are tasty...but, the margaritas are pricey for being served in a small whiskey sized glass. Chips and salsa is just ok. Ordered a Caesar salad that was inedible. It was made with shredded taco lettuce that you could tell had been sitting in a warm prep station all day. Did not resemble Caesar in flavor, couldn't quite grasp the taste but not good at all. Also grossly overpriced for the size of a side salad and all that comes on it is smelly powdered cheese and a tablespoon of corn. Barbacoa tacos were average. Tj, a manager, informed us this was a good place to go with kids. HOWEVER, if you plan to visit while the manager, Fausto, is on duty and you have children with you, it may be advisable to reconsider. We had an unfortunate experience where he wrote down our number on a piece of paper, instead of the iPad, and informed us that we would have to wait for over an hour for seating. After spending 30 minutes outside in the snow with four children, we returned to find numerous open seats. It appeared that Fausto had not even entered our reservation into the system. Another staff member promptly seated us upon our return. When I attempted to discuss the issue with Fausto, he remained engrossed in his tablet, failing to make eye contact, and offered a cursory apology. However, I must commend the other staff members, including our waiter, the bartender Karen who was with our other group, and several others. They were all exceptional. The food was also excellent, with the fajita steak prepared to order. Aside from the initial incident, we also observed Fausto behaving discourteously towards several employees on multiple occasions. They seemed short staffed and my guess, is a poor manager. read more

I would understand if it was high season and crazy busy. Waitress did not check in until later. After realizing that she did not place the order, apologized and placed the order with a rush on it. The best I can say for this restaurant is its convenient location. However, the food is simply awful. I ordered the tortilla soup and it tasted like canned spaghetti-o's tomatoe sauce. My husband and daughter-in-law shared a caesars salad and camote con mole. Both were tasteless and poorly prepared. Even though the waiter knew they were sharing he failed to bring an extra plate or divide the salad into two sides. My son's fish tacos were OK and my grandson enjoyed his fried chicken fingers and corn. The waiter convinced us to give the tres leches a try which we did. It was good, but by no means the best we have ever had. In spite of sending the soup back after both my husband and I tried it I thought for sure management would comp it or the dessert, but no such luck. The bill came to $180 for 4 adults and 1 child (no drinks). I definitely do NOT recommend this restaurant. read more

What a major disappointment. Wrote a review for our first visit shortly after they opened and it was a great experience. Tonight could not have been much worse. Food was still generally good--but overpriced. "New menu" came out this week according to the waitress. New = 15-35% higher prices for the same menu items. That was strike one. Strikes 2-5 were service related. I'll give the short version. Seated immediately at 7:00...waitress arrived promptly and took drink orders. 7:24-two cocktails arrive. Still no water. No return visit from waitress. 7:26-waitress returns for first time and is surprised that we aren't overjoyed. We placed orders before she left. Nachos, soup and salad, 2 orders of tacos. 7:56 half of the food arrives followed a little later by the rest of the meal. By this point, the waitress had switched us to another server, but nobody informed us of that. New waiter was great, but still agonizingly slow. Highlight is that the food is still pretty good. But not $165 good and two of the meals had items missing. Really want to like this place. But I won't be back anytime soon. Look forward to the shoulder season when they hopefully return the prices to non-busy season levels. read more

Convenient location if you are parking in the Canyons village paid parking lot or in the Pendry garage. Next to Pendry and within about 200 feet of the ski lift. Less crowded than the Pendry Lounge bar. Not a bad place to meet friends for apre ski. Expect resort pricing. Whiskey and coke for $16. Chicken Nachos for $22. Service was good. A place where you can have conversation without having to raise your voice. Family friendly. 4 stars for convenience and service. 3 stars for prices and the Nachos which had a generouse amount of chicken but was not served with any salsa or pico. Nice presentation but missed the salsa. Able to get a table for 5 at 3:30 without a wait. read more

We are disappointed by the food and service this time. The food is not ok. We ordered some items for 2 people. carne asada beef was dry... shrimp taco was ok. The corn on the cob was good. We order some dishes to go for a friend including a side salad and the didn't put the dressing on the side. You can imagine how terrible it tasted. It is a proper protocol for restaurant to pack to go salad and put dressing on the side, right?! This restaurant is not a cheap Mexican restaurant. Our bill for 2 people dine in without alcohol and dessert and not include the to go order, the bill was above $100. With this price range, I have certain expectation and this restaurant does not meet the expectation. There's room for them to improve. read more

The atmosphere is a 10/10 the food is a 3/10. The attention to details from menu design to bar design to finishes to plating, all done wonderfully. The food, salty, bland, dry, etc and Mexican food is pretty hard to screw up. We also had several cocktails, I'd give those a 5/10, drinkable, but not memorable. Came here when they first opened and the food was decent, service was really poor. A year later, we stopped in (today) to try it out for lunch and sad to say it's gone down hill. The food was maybe a 4/10 and gave me a horrific stomach ache (and pretty certain food poisoning) for 24 hrs. I couldn't eat anything until the next day. The tortillas tasted like they came out of a mission tortilla bag and weren't even cooked. The service has gotten worse, we asked for our check after waiting for 15 min without any service and the waiter handed it to us without a word and have it back to us after charging our card without saying anything. 2 orders of chicken tacos and $75!!! Horrific. Zero service, terrible food quality. Really really disappointed and will not be back. read more

Dos Olas is the most unprofessional restaurant I have ever experienced. I never leave negative reviews on Yelp because I know how hard business owners work and how difficult customers can be but this place is so terrible I had to do it. First of all they never answer the phone. I called three weeks before I wanted to eat at the restaurant t and could never get through. By the time I got through a week prior, there was no longer a 5pm reservation for my family. The host on the phone told me to just walk in. Unfortunately we were too able to walk in until 540 upon which we were told the restaurant was fully committed and they could put us in a waitlist. After checking in after 30 minutes the host told us to wait ten more minutes and he could get us a table. After which we waited and then he told us someone came in and we could no longer be seated. All in all we waited over an hour and had no table. Then we proceeded to order take out. After they charged our card, after a few minutes they told us it would be a 40 minute wait for take out. That was simply too long for my family and we asked for a refund. The chef/owner said that a refund was not possible and that we had to wait regardless. Finally after much complaining they agreed to ask their "finance" team for a refund. And then to send us off they bagged all our food raw and said we could take it home. Wow hard to believe.
