I came here for the first time during lunch and was sad to hear they recently got rid of their salad bar. I mourn Sweet Tomatoes regularly because where can you find a good salad bar these days? We were told they discontinued the buffet because they weren't getting enough business to sustain it and had to throw away a lot of food. The inside is beautifully decorated, but it was empty when we arrived at 1pm on a Saturday so it felt a little weird. A few more groups did come in after us though so we weren't completely alone. One party left upon hearing there was no salad bar. There was only one worker acting as host, waiter and busser, which I assume is due to lack of business. It took us an hour to get our entrees due to the added wait time of only one worker taking orders. His handheld machine used to taking orders also stopped working halfway through and he had to write done the rest of the orders. Then he came back and found out none of the digital orders went through and had to retake half of our orders. He told us they hired a new chef from out of town and are putting the finishing touches on a new menu with a grand opening soon. This building has been home to several different restaurants over the years and despite what I think is a good location, I fear it could be cursed. The food was good and I enjoyed my meal. I hope their future plans work out and they are able to stay open.

Happy Mother's Day dinner for me! In case you don't know Dosan has changed it up....for the better! In my opinion I loved the soup and salad bar, But.....the new high end plated meals are AMAZING! The seasonings are perfect! The veggies cooked perfect, the garlic mashers, so yummy! Make sure you the menus carefully we order extra sides we didn't need. Everything is competitively priced for the area, cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is still friendly and welcoming. The chef came out to our table to make sure everything was good. We had fire shrimp appetizer, crusted salmon, with mashed garlic potatoes, veggie medley and rice with a side of salad. I can't wait for my next trip I want to try the ribeye steak with veggie medley, and garlic mashers! Sounds perfect ! Happy eating in Clovis

Giving Dosan a 3-stars because the space itself is honestly beautiful. The outside is what first caught our attention, and the inside is just as nice--very clean, stylish, and it definitely looks like it should be a popular spot. But every time we drive by, there's barely anyone there, and after visiting, I understand why. They really need better marketing and more of a clear identity. We didn't even know what kind of food they served until we walked in. It feels like they're trying to be high-end, but the restaurant has a bit of an identity crisis. We later found out it used to be a buffet, and now it seems like they're trying to rebrand without really creating enough buzz around it. They need promotions, events, maybe even live music--something to bring people in. The menu is extremely limited, and there's no kids' menu at all, which was frustrating for a family dinner. They ended up handing us the lunch menu just to compensate. My daughter ordered the Alfredo pasta, and it honestly didn't taste like Alfredo--it mostly tasted like oil. Adding Parmesan helped a little, but it was still disappointing. The bread was decent enough. I ordered the cod with rice and asparagus, and it was okay--probably the best part of the meal--but nothing that made me feel like I'd come back for it. The waiter was kind and doing their best to answer questions, so no complaints there. Overall, it just felt like a restaurant with potential but no real direction. Nice atmosphere, decent service, but the food and overall experience didn't match the high-end vibe they seem to be aiming for. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

Came during my hour lunch because I wanted something healthy and found reviews online about their salad bar. Took some time to be greeted but once I paid $15 for the salad and soup bar things went quick! They have lots of options for salads, a wide variety and lots of dressings as well. They had 2 soups at the time and I went with the pozole they had! It was pretty good for a place in clovis like this. The waitress came back and told me all about the happy hour and other things they offer since I didn't have time for the full experience! I'd love to try to meat station and other side they have. I'll definitely be coming back here when I have more time to sit and eat! (Nice vibe inside and a good replacement for sweet Tomatoes)

First time here and it was a good choice! The ribeye was flavorful and cooked just right. The risotto had sweet corn in it and it was creamy. It was delicious! The basmati rice was fluffy and perfect. The chocolate mousse was fluffy and creamy. It was the perfect ending to my meal. Mona waited on us and she was very attentive. Great service! The restaurant is clean and has a lounge area separate from the dining area. Great place to go with friends!

I would give Dosan FIVE STARS for ambience! The open dining area has comfortable booths surrounding the periphery of the room. The ONLY place in FRESNO/CLOVIS area, that plays low volume, instrumental jazz in the background. It's a pleasant and peaceful environment. Truly a unique and peaceful atmosphere. They also have a patio, that could be enjoyable in the evenings. We were here two days after the opening, so one must give them time to get up and running. They had various pickled items on the salad bar (yellow cauliflower, cucumbers, and large radish slices) and a good variety of greens. The potato salad was delicious! The pasta items and wedge potatoes were VERY tasty, however, they were not 'hot' . . . They will have to experiment on tweaking their heating elements, as those items were just lukewarm, as well as my carved turkey. At the carving station, you can ask them to 'assemble' a sandwich for you! My husband came back with a pastrami sandwich that he enjoyed. Dessert consisted of a variety of; cookies, brownies, muffins, and rice crispy bars. It was $25 each for all you can eat, and drinks are separate. Service is friendly.

Went on opening day expecting first day hiccups. $25 for the all you can eat buffet and another $9 for one trip to the carving station. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The gentleman at the carving station was very polite and agreeable. Everything at the salad bar was fresh and delicious. Dressings were good. Besides the salad bar, the best items were the house made pickles, mustard, pepperoni pizza, and Italian wedding soup. There were many things that could be improved. Overall, almost everything needed more seasoning, including salt. The meats were a disappointment. The pastrami was juicy and tender, but barely had a hint of pastrami spice. The turkey and beef were dry and mealy. The au jus had a layer of oil on the top. The sauerkraut and grilled onions were kind of flavorless too. The mac and cheese looked amazing, but tasted like nothing. Corn bread was dry and crumbly and biscuits were rock hard. The red sauce for the pasta tasted like tomato paste. The desserts were just ok, nothing special. All in all, $9 for the carving station option would be a great deal if the meats were better, and $25 for just the salad bar is not a great value. We may go back again, but not for at least a few months.

This place was very clean, open and airy. The service was excellent. You can see in my photos what we had - of course, we had to trade small slices with each other of our food: it was all very good, especially the chicken panini. They also have a soup and salad bar. They had a special going on for $5 margaritas. I plan on going back.

The restaurant itself is nice, comfortable, nice atmosphere. Staff extremely attentive! The food is ok. Not bad, but not great. I won't go there again due to the cost. $24.99 for the buffet and $4.00 for a soda. If it was $20 including a drink, yes, I'd say it's worth it.... Maybe.

Probably the worst dining experience I've ever had . The food other than the salad bar was terrible. Not recommending to anyone.

    How much is for buffet?

It was $25 for the buffet and like $4 for the fountain drinks. You can get wine and other alcohol as well.

I found parking easily and was immediately greeted on entering. The restaurant is fairly spacious with additional tables to the side. Inside was bustling! There are giant menus on the wall above the register with mostly drinks, sandwiches and "burgers". I ordered the grilled pork sandwich. After I ordered I saw more menus on the counter with so many more offerings. Several things caught my eye like the garlic fries with bulgogi - what?! And banh xeo. I will be back! I took my sandwich to go and took a bite while stopped at a light. OMG!!! This was such a good sandwich! I could have eaten two - to be fair, it is on the smaller side haha! It was so difficult to not devour it on the ride home. The meat was wonderfully marinated and there were enough pickled veggies, jalapeno slices and cilantro for me (I'm ridiculous about wanting more fresh veg) It was made so perfectly. I have to mention that it was under $10 so I was not resentful of the smaller size. I reluctantly shared a few bites with my daughter who also loved it. I thought I took a pic of the banh mi but I guess I got distracted! We will definitely be back.

I only tried their BBQ pork banh mi, and while it looked promising, it wasn't quite what I expected. BBQ PORK - BAHN MI ($9.75) :: The pate was salty and overpowered the whole sandwhich. The pork itself tasted a bit gamey, lacked of flavor, and seemed slightly stale. The breading didn't give that nice flaky crunch. I personally think that it's a bit pricey for this size too. The sandwhich is long and small; it's not worth for what you paid for. RATE: 1/5 FRENCH FRIES ($5.50) :: Their fries is pretty good. I love the coating on the fries. It gives that nice crispy crunch. There's nothing special here. It just taste like regular fries. The amount that they give you is definetly bang for the bucks. RATE : 5/5 SERVICE :: Love their service but not the wait time. It was pretty empty in there but it took them a good 15 minute to finish my order. RATE : 2/5 Overall, the shop has a lot of charm, but the bahn mi just didn't hit the mark for me personally. Don't forget to grab their fries, it's great for the snacks. I would definitely come back to try their other dishes. The only reason that is holding me back a bit is their priceing is just a bit pricey from anywhere else though.

After reviewing the menu selection, it felt like I was waiting for a while just for a staff member to acknowledge us. Instead, the workers were standing with their backs to us , and left us standing there for a while. In fact , I was so confused I was looking around for a kiosk to order my food. The next thing that I didn't like was the price of our lunch. 45.00 for one sandwich , two small cups of soup , two fountain drinks , and a dessert. Seems pricey for a sandwich spot. I get it - this is a step up from Subway. However, for what I spent - I expected more. Finally, the dining room tables were grimy. I had to clean off our own table before the food arrived. I felt like this was inexcusable considering the amount of staff standing around not doing much. Here is what I did like. The menu has a nice variety of hot or cold sandwiches, sides , and desserts. Everything sounded so good. Today, I opted for the Monterey chicken sandwich. While the flavor was good, it ate a little messy. I had chicken pieces falling out and cheese oozing out of the bottom. I don't think I would order this again- there appears to be better options to choose from. The baked potato soup was really good ( salty but delicious)! Hands down , the best thing we tried was Gary's chocolate cake. That cream cheese frosting was heavenly! Heads up- this cake is super sweet ,and a little goes a long way. Feel free to share this dessert. I am coming back to try more menu items- I may have just ordered the wrong sandwich today.

I ordered the 6-inch tuna with lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapeno, and banana peppers, along with a drink. By the time I had filled my drink and walked back to the pickup counter, my sandwich was already done! Apparently, online orders have to be made close to the pick-up time so they sit for too long. So, if five or more people order a sandwich for pickup at 12:30pm, your ass is waiting and walk-ins get taken care of first! They gave me a large tuna portion for my sandwich. It was very fresh and not too heavy on the mayo either, which can create a drippy sando. Loved all the toppings except that they put pickle spears on their sandwiches and not pickle chips... why?
