Place is amazing! Great food, service, coffee and the homemade bread is next level. Highly recommended. California Eggs Benedict is my jam!

There are some places that live up to their reputation. This happens to be one of them. They have battled back from the hurricane and amazing flooding of 2011, and are better than ever. Sure some of the quirky things I grew to love such as the completely sloped floor are gone, but the new Dot's is great. Expanded seating area - bright - clean - etc. If you come at peak time on the weekend, get your name on the list, enjoy a coffee that they provide outside, and anticipate how delicious breakfast is going to be as soon as you can get in. Favorites on the menu for me are the Cajun Skillet, and the banana pancake. The banana pancake isn't quite as legendary or cult followed as the berry-berry, but it's my favorite. Caramelized rings of banana engulfed in batter.....delicious. Served with REAL VT syrup - as it should be. Not in the mood for breakfast, their sandwiches are great also. Don't forget their multi-year award winning chili. Don't miss Dot's - it's one of my favorites. read more

Amazing I have never been to dot's before and I'm so mad at myself for having never came. Everything was amazing. Our group has some dietary restrictions of vegetarian, lactose intolerance and gluten free and they help work with us. They made us something that was not on the menu. Dot's is the best restaurant in the valley. The place is always packed for breakfast on the weekends, so be prepared to wait, but they serve coffee outside while you are waiting. The breakfast burrito is fabulous, but it is very spicy. If you go during the week before 9am they have a breakfast special for $4.95. My kids love the pancakes, which come with real VT maple syrup (it comes in a cup on the plate, the stuff in the container on the table is regular supermarket type syrup). For dinner, my favorite thing to order is the Turkey Blue Plate Special: turkey, gravy, homemade mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and a veggie. You also can't go wrong with any of their soups or their award winning chili. Truly the only thing I've ever had that I haven't loved is the fries. I think they make their own hand-cut fries and they just aren't as crispy as I like. read more

Absolutely rude and disrespectful woman running the counter. We sat for 15 minutes at least before we were even ask if we needed coffee. Great service , very tasty food. Fresh baked bread with butter while you wait for your main dish. Had the French onion soup, husband had the meatloaf platter. Both were fantastic. Stays open later than most other food places in town. Definitely recommend! read more

This is a homey local restaurant serving American fare; they will serve breakfast into the afternoon but not indefinitely. The food was amazing, if a little expensive (mainly because they try to locally source everything. A lot of places in Vermont are like that). Four of us ate there and each of us was completely satisfied with our food. The portions are large and the quality fantastic (watch out; the chili is a bit spicy if you, like me, are a spice wuss). I would absolutely eat here again, and recommend it. As I understand it, Dot's has a bit of a story to it in recent years: apparently when the 2011 floods hit, Dots' was completely washed away and the owners weren't going to rebuilt it, so the town banded together to rebuild it for them, it was so beloved. read more

Dot's is a great spot in the heart of Wilmington VT (they also have a location a few miles up Route 100 closer to Mount Snow. It has pretty standard diner fare (eggs, pancakes, french toast etc.), but everything tastes great and there is a sense of community in the restaurant. This location was destroyed during hurricane Irene, and it is great to see that it has been rebuilt and the lines are once again out the door. This is a true gem in Southern Vermont. read more

Escape the ski crowds closer to the slopes and come cash in on some fantastic comfort food. The presentation and delivery is very "diner" - but what comes on the plate is wholesome home cooking. Took over 2 hours to receive our food with no one else in the restaurant. All 6 people in our party were disappointed in the food quality. Got the meatloaf and the bottom was burnt. Despite how long everything took our waitress once never acknowledged it or apologized, which would have gone a long way. read more

We were truly saddened by our experience here. After calling ahead, we were assured the wait would be manageable. We were seated quite promptly and then waited over an hour for our soups, then another forty five minutes for our meals. One of our plates was burnt, another soggy instead of crispy and fried, and a third with a vegetable side that was barely edible. The waitstaff, while friendly, did not update us regarding this extraordinary wait for service nor was there acknowledgement or apologies that our entire dining experience took over 2 hours. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this establishment to anybody in the area. read more

This place is awesome after or before a hard day of skiing/riding. They have awesome chili and some pretty good sandwiches for dinner/lunch, and amazing berry pancakes for breakfast. I was in Wilmington for 4 days and I think me and my friends went to Dot's for three of them. Besides having good riding fuel, Dot's has a small town cozy atmosphere and friendly waitresses. The only criticism I have is that they do not have enough waitresses so you might have to wait a while to order or be served, but when your on vacation you should try to ditch your fast paced NYC lifestyle and just enjoy yourself. read more

Brought family here after a long day of skiing. The restaurant is nice and clean, nicely renovated. The waitress was nice enough and attentive. Ordered the "famous" chili and wasn't that impressed. Daughter had stuffed scallops and raved about her food. I had the shrimp scampi and the pasta was a bit mushy. Son ordered chicken parm and wouldn't take two bites. Husband had the meatloaf and liked it. So I guess it depends on what you order. Vanilla milkshake was of course delicious (how could you go wrong?). Nice place, good food, big portions. Very casual and home-y feeing. Being from down south, not sure if this is just the typical for up here but it seemed to be a little over priced. So this is a diner, so the 4 stars is comparing it to other diners. On a summer Thursday lunch the place was packed. Our waitress was brisk and efficient. I got the apple wheat pancakes, which were SO good. Real apple that was an apple and not a jar before it was in my pancake, and of course real maple syrup. The corned beef hash was canned, but prepared to a nice crispness. My dining companions had sandwiches which looked above average for diner sandwiches. read more
