Came here on a Sunday morning (815am) with my family (6 of us) and waited for about 20 minutes. The restaurant was cute inside. They were busy inside but service was slow which would explain some of the slowness with the line. Our waitress took about 10-15 minutes to come take our order after we sat down. Drinks and food didn't take too long but we had tried to ask for some things and she ran off before we could finish our request. She didn't seem happy when I asked for something when she got back. She ultimately never gave me what I asked for and I had to ask one of the bussers. Maybe she forgot... She didn't come back to our table until it was time for the check which also took a very long wait. Our waters were never filled despite there being two bussers roaming the restaurant non stop. We were quite disappointed with the service. Food was okay. Nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary. Oatmeal was on the thicker side. Scrambled eggs were on the dryer side. Steak was cooked fine. Given this experience, I would not come back. Service was slow and the server didn't seem to care for us. I know it was busy and people have bad days but this ruined our experience. Also we had called to ask if we could make reservations (never having been here) a few days before and the person who answered the phone gave a snarky reply.

This place is great: I understand how it's continued to thrive over multiple decades. I've only been for breakfast, but the food is all solid diner fare. The food came out very soon after ordering, and was well-prepared. I got eggs over easy with patty sausage and home fries. The home fries are well seasoned and not soggy nor fried to the point of being dry. The housemade bread and the muffins are very tasty: definitely worth the extra few bucks. My son got the waffle and it was deliciously buttery and sweet, with a wonderful texture

Came upon this cute restaurant in google just passing through town. The restaurant had a homey feel in a unique location. The food was delicious. The sausage gravy was excellent. The waitress said to try out the famous berry pancakes and it did not disappoint! Would recommend!

Very gross canadian bacon and a burnt english muffin.

I gotta take out egg sandwich because they were very busy. The canadian bacon was pretty gross and unchewable. The english muffin was burnt also.

Another successful visit, and by successful I mean a full stomach at a reasonable price. Popped up to Mt.Snow for some early bird runs. Conditions were poor and all the Jerrys were starting to show up so left early and treated myself to a top notch breakfast. I definitely enjoyed the french toast, will try the raisin bread slices next time!

Such a fun classic diner experience. This place is the cutest. It's situated right on a river with cool views. We stopped here while visiting friends in the area. We enjoyed many coffee refills and conversations. Service was quick and kind. We got all the classic diner food - scrambles, waffles, etc. it was all perfect! This is definitely a small town staple! We will be back!

Dots is a must visit every time I'm in Wilmington! A great spot for breakfast and lunch with all of your favorite diner classics and more! Great food and fair prices! The service is always fast and attentive. It's a smaller spot, but they can accommodate bigger groups. If you're not seated for breakfast by 10am, you can expect there to be a wait. I highly recommend checking out their specials. This time we tried the cinnamon bun and it did not disappoint! I had a classic breakfast of an omelette and their whole grain bread they make in house. Add this to your list if you're heading to the Wilmington area!

Good home cooking in a true diner setting. Great wait staff and always a tasty and filling way to start the day. Parking can be tough when the town is busy but we got lucky today!

What a meal!! Pumpkin raisin pancakes were awesome! Bacon was thick!!

My wife and I were staying nearby for a weekend getaway. The day before we had driven an hour to a destination breakfast restaurant near Killington that was highly recommended by a friend. That place was excellent, in our opinion Dot's was better. Dot's exudes local community charm. They had flooding issues during a 2013 storm and completely renovated. They maintained the charm. They also knew how to turn tables, although crowded the wait was reasonable. The waitress was very nice and we got to enjoy the counter experience. The food was outstanding! Served hot and quickly, I went with a "hungry man" style meal. Eggs, pumpkin raising pancakes, toast, bacon, and home fries. Each part was outstanding. The pumpkin pancakes were amazing, loved the raisins. My wife enjoyed her omelette. I can see why this is a community institution. We'll look to return when we're back in Vermont.

The old tavern feel and decorations were nice. And to look outside, you can imagine the feel when the snow starts to fall. For lunch we ordered the tomato soup and the onion soup. Anna our waitress made the recommendations. The soups were delicious, the onion cover been a little hotter but it was still delicious! For lunch we got the Italian meat bowl. The only one that was working was at the bar. I wish she had placed us closer to the bar section before putting us in the very back with no air flow. Too bad they didn't have outside seating because it would have a lovely evening to dine outside. I was determined to have some clam chowder while in Vermont. The one here was too salty. It also had bacon bits which probably added to the salt content. For my entree, I ordered the chicken piccata. Again, I thought the dish was too salty. But I will say that my plate was filled with a large portion of the chicken, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. I'm not sure whether it was the large size of my meal or the fact that I was too warm to finish. So we took the remainder back to the hotel for another day. He ordered the ribeye and it too was a large portion that he did not finish. The meat was perfectly cooked with juices. We would have loved to linger as our evening was coming to a close and we had no other plans but after hearing other customers say it was too warm in the restaurant, we decided to head back to the hotel early. Service was wonderful though.

If you told me I'd find some of the best seafood of my life in landlocked Southern Vermont, I…read moreprobably wouldn't have believed you--but Anchor Seafood House & Grille is the real deal. This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.

It was off-season in the area so many places haven't been busy. Luckily they asked if we were okay with the bar. Most definitely okay with the bar! We actually got pretty good attention when sitting at the bar. I ordered the Broiled Seafood Sampler because I like seafood and anytime I can get a variety in a dish, I'll go for that. The sampler consisted of haddock, salmon, scallops, and shrimp. The dish contained plenty of the fish and only two pieces each of the scallops and shrimp. The dish was not what I was expecting because of the crumb topping and creamy sauce. It was fine. We definitely got a good portion and the linguine with garlic and oil was fantastic! It was definitely garlicky, just the way I like it.

The cheese fondue was substantial, served with bread, apples, cornichons, cocktail onions, chunks of ham, two different kinds of sausages and assorted potatoes, all gorgeously presented on wooden slab. The French onion soup, which we shared as an appetizer was also delicious. Great wine and my fiancé sampled the Vermonter cocktail, a potent concoction of bourbon, sweet vermouth and angostura bitters. Very strong and flavorful! We finished the evening with a slice of apple strudel, complete with a sparkler candle for my belated birthday. Great presentation! The decor and atmosphere here is stunning with fur throws over the seat backs, roses, candlelight and Alpine themes like antler wall sconces. Bathrooms were very clean and decorated with cute retro skiing photos. After we praised the fondue as exceptional, our server offered to bring out the owner so we could meet her. Our whole experience here was very strong until the end of our meal when then service slowed down, which the server explained was due to a large party upstairs, so it took awhile for us to get our dessert. Not a huge deal. While the owner was great to chat with, she then asked if we wanted to enjoy our dessert at the bar so they could seat a larger party using our table and the one next to us (awkward, especially after spending over $200 on dinner, no thanks). Also, we did not appreciate the 2.5 "operational fee" added to our check! Were it not for these last two points, this would have been a five star review because the atmosphere, food and drinks were great!
