    Small buffet area

Came in on a Saturday night for the buffet. Adults eat for $12.99 kids under 6 free. We came in around 7 pm - buffet is over at 8 pm. At first glance I was skeptical by how the buffet looked, but we were told we could order any pizza for the buffet. We ordered a total of 3 pizzas and 1 dessert pizza. The pizza comes out fresh and is good I'll admit. The areas they lost points from me was the cleanliness. The buffet is at the front by the register and a lot of times the workers are standing and talking over the pizza. We also saw them boxing Togo orders using the pizzas that had been sitting out at the buffet; even saw one of the workers using her bare hands to do this. I wouldn't order Togo from this place. If I dined in again- I would order the pizzas for the buffet so they would be made fresh.

(+) Price for AYCE buffet is $12.99 (+) Kids 6-11 $4.99, 5 and under FREE (+) They can make pizza by request (+) Workers are nice and courteous (+) Good variety of different food options (+) Arcades and machines as well as outdoor area for kids to play (-) Salad bar could be better kept/stocked This is my first time to a Double Dave's, but we enjoyed our visit there. We came in on a weeknight. Kids getting to eat at a discount/free is very enticing for young families. The AYCE hearkens me back to the old Cici's Pizza days. Nothing fancy, just a nice casual, family-friendly setting at a locally owned pizza spot. We will be back soon enough.

Decent pizza at decent prices. We ordered the 18" speciality pizza (around $30) for 4 adults and it was plenty. The dessert pizzas might be the best value of all. Only $6 for a medium sized pizza and the chocolate chip one was really good. Cute spot with live music and a pretty good looking buffet for $12.99. Arcade machines were a hit too.

This was our first time ordering DD in Missouri City, however I have stopped by during normal business hours for business purposes. It's nice to see the senior bridge club members meet here in the mornings. I have seen it during busy times and watched them attend to customers. We eat a LOT of pizza on our home and have been bored with chain store pizza. This was why we wanted to try DD. Have to say, it did not disappoint! Loved the deep dish crust, hand tossed crust and the pepperoni rolls. The ingredients taste fresh, the pizza was made to order and my family truly enjoyed the meal. I placed our order online for a later pick up within 2 hours and it was ready within about 10 minutes of the scheduled pick up time. This is a family friendly environment, friendly and well kept. We will definitely be back!

Have you ever heard of Cut and Shoot Texas? What about Why Arizona? That's just a couple of questions that were asked at tonight's trivia game. I met one of Double Dave's employees last week at the restaurant next door to Double Dave's. He invited me to come out to Monday night trivia and also told me that they have a buffet every day including evening buffets on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. Tonight, around 6:45, I walked into the pizzeria not knowing what to expect. The establishment was a bit on the small side so I don't think it would be ideal for too many large groups. The buffet consisted of a full salad bar and about 4-5 different pizzas to choose from. I was only here to play the game but decided to order 2 of the $2 pizza rolls with marinara sauce just to sample the food. It took about 10 minutes to get the food which wasn't bad. I dipped the roll in the sauce but didn't expect the sauce to be cold. It was also more bitter than I expected; not like a typical pizza marinara. I hate being wasteful so I thought that the 2 containers of marinara was a bit too much for just 2 small sized pizza rolls. It was now 7:00 and the game was starting. At first, I had a difficult time trying to connect to the game on my phone. So by the time I was able to connect, the trivia host was already moving on to question number 4. She did however make us aware that she would be reading the questions a little fast to speed up the game. Good thing was that, the questions remained on the screen and she gave us about 5 minutes to submit answers; so it was fair. We played 7 rounds which lasted about 1 1/2 hours. I enjoyed my time here surrounded by friendly staff and repeat customers. The employees have somewhat of a "work family" vibe. Will I be back? I sure will AND I'm bringing my friend with me!

Twice it's been great, twice it's been meh but definitely not bad. Portions are fine, the sauce distribution or remembering to put sauce on the side is inconsistent. Twice I did not ask for it on the side, and it was drowning in sauce and not enjoyable. The service though? Every time the staff is so nice. Even if I'm coming to pick up - they're kind, say hello and have a great day, and I appreciate the experience from start to end each time. The restaurant is very clean, plenty of areas to sit even when it is busy during lunch, I love the soda brand they use (local and uses real cane sugar), and their juices are delicious every time! Since they didn't give us the bread that comes with the bowl, my husband bought the pita chips which we found to be nothing but fried bread with tons of salt. When I went back and asked if I could get bread that wasn't fried, they informed me that the bowls were supposed to come with a piece of bread, but yet the girl who was fixing, my bowl told me that it did not come with pita. From the jump, the hostess greeted and seated us quickly, and our server was absolutely fantastic--attentive, friendly, and on point the entire time. We started with Hibiscus Margaritas, quickly upgraded to a pitcher (zero regrets), and jumped into appetizers. The roasted red pepper hummus with parmesan crisps surprised me in the best way--really good. The Brussels sprouts and lettuce wraps were the clear standouts, an easy 10/10 and the main reason I'll be back. Some other apps were hit-or-miss for my taste, but that happens. The vibe was relaxed and clean, with a nice buzz once the Friday after-work crowd rolled in. The manager checked on us multiple times, gifted us their house-made potato chips (Chef's Snacks--crispy and addictive), and even gave us appetizer coupons after hearing we work at a school and were scouting a spot for a happy hour social. That kind of genuine hospitality goes a long way. Solid drinks, strong food highlights, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Lazy Dog definitely earned a return visit.

But from the looks of it it didn't seem like seperate businesses, just 1 kitchen crew working all of the menus. Not sure if that's how it will always be or not? But I was lucky enough to catch there other give away, 50% off everything. Food- ecided to go with there smash burger and there parmesan wings. I ordered at there kiosk, which was pretty easy to do so. They have a ton of add on's. The burger was yummy from cheeky buns. The wings were alright. Service- originally when I ordered I got a text saying 18 minutes wait time, but it was ready in less than 10. I guess they wanted to over estimate rather than under, I respect it. The downside is that they charge you extra hidden costs like tap water and a whole lot of many other things. I would have bright my own purified bottled water from Costco that cost a a fraction of what they charged. The prices didn't not align with what was reflected on the menu from scanning the QR code and they were not upfront about it until we got the bill. The menu states that one of the orders came with brown rice so that's what we ordered, but they tagged in extra $2.50 for that on our tab. With the patacon, there was lack of transparency that you would be charged extra for each additional ingredients which was not started on the menu and they don't tell you until the very end when it shows up on the bill. Lack of consistency. 3/5 We also ordered the pabellon plate, It came with plantains (the best part about it), black beans, brown rice according to the menu through the QR code.
