This photo gives no justice but this is the best burger in town! Regular Cheese Burger with jalapeños. Always big, juicy and fresh!

I came by to do an online take out order of garlic fries & fish burger. It was packed and ready when I arrived. Tons of ketchup packets with the garlic fries. It was surprisingly delicious! I did not care much for the fish burger. It was two fish strips in the burger which made it hard to eat (maybe a fish sandwich with a long bun would be better for this?). Seems to have lots of batter and not much fish plus very bland. I would order something else here besides the fish burger..

This place has the nicest burgers that I've seen in a small destination sit down. It's limited seating but very intimate if you want support small business, this is one of those places you might want to consider. Everything is fresh on site. My tater tots were freshly fried super crispy delicious. And I just ordered a single cheeseburger and it was absolutely great. There's something about a good hot grill that just makes a burger so fantastic. The bun was fresh and soft and very light and really accented this burger. Very affordable for those on a budget. They serve it up quick no nonsense very down to earth and actually took a friend here and he actually enjoyed it and felt he was taken out to a nice restaurant. So it is no frills but sometimes that's what makes this place so special.

I got a double decker with mushrooms, and some garlic fries. Delicious!! No complaints whatsoever! The garlic fries are just like the ballpark. Crispy, garlicky and seasoned with just enough salt. The burger was juicy, seasoned perfectly. Fresh veggies in the burger as well. Service was polite, and food was made quickly, or at least faster than I expected it to be made. It's a little place so seating is bare minimum.

It's very good place to get burgers and wings. We definitely going again very clean and good service.

This is a workplace staple if you're looking for a quick burger. A standard burger is about $10 and you can do add-ons like avocado, mushrooms, cheese, or jalapenos for about $1 per. I usually opt for the western because it comes with bacon and bbq sauce. The potato buns are soft and you can request how done you would like your burger. I also like to get a side of garlic fries as well. Besides burgers they also make really good Buffalo chicken wings. Neighborhood favorite, but they do sometimes mess up on orders, at least when I used to work closer 2 years ago. But glad to see they made it through the pandemic.

Double Decker is a convenient and quick option for lunch or dinner. I ordered their cheeseburger for pickup through the Yelp app. It was ready on time and staff was friendly. Inside seating is available on the top "deck". The restaurant as a whole is a cute idea, its polygon appearance stands out among the nearby buildings.

I tried their Classic burger yesterday. Omg, I was blown away! The burger was SO juicy and delicious. Angus beef on a toasted brioche bun - what more could you ask for? My son kept sneaking pieces of my burger so next time he needs his own burger. We will definitely be back! And the prices are affordable, not overpriced.

My hubby and I both love Double Decker. I really love their namesake burger made from Niman Ranch beef, topped with cheddar and Swiss cheese. Goes amazingly well with fries or my favorite, onion rings. We stumbled into this little joint with the hideaway upstairs sitting years ago when we went to City Hall to file for our marriage certificate, and to meet one of his BFF who worked at City Hall. So this place held a lot of memories for us. At the time, we came here because we didn't know much about the Hayes Valley area. Little did we know I would be working nearby a few short years after that and eating around there. The owner and staff are always friendly and accommodating. Great vibes.

Not sure why people are judging based on Keith Lee's review solely, but this place is pretty nice if you're looking for a quick meal. I went here for the first time with a friend, the man behind the counter was kind and service was quick. The restaurant is definitely casual and no-frills, but clean and homey. The burger I had was the Double Decker burger, it was very filling, yummy, and worth the 10.95! The garlic fries were also very good and I would definitely come back again. :-)

Ordered takeout from Double Decker and it was ready on time with no waiting in line to pick up! The garlic fries are so flavorful and I could smell them through the bag AND through my mask. I love the idea of BBQ sauce on a burger and it was cooked how I asked. And of course the price is pretty good for an SF burger joint. Will definitely go back again!

Expensive mediocre burgers. Medium taste like medium well. Fries were acceptable. If they change the oil, it will taste much better.

"Smish Smash I was taking a bath, long about a Wednesday night, yeah!!!" Okay I'm no Bobby Darin,…read morebut I am quite the aspiring burger aficionado and the smash burgers being handcrafted at Smish Smash are some of the best and most affordable in the entire city of San Francisco! And when Food & Wine Magazine calls this burger one of the most exciting in the U.S., I for one was implored to take notice and visit! Located on the first floor of Saluhall on Market Street in downtown San Francisco next to the IKEA store, Smish Smash started as a pop-up six years ago by owners Am y Han and Victor Donado. Just last year they opened their first stand-alone location on the first floor of Saluhall, which to be quite honest has struggled to keep their other vendors open. Thankfully, Smish Smash has had the benefit of being on the first floor with a view of Market Street, not to mention a great word of mouth thanks to their exceptional smashed burgers that has not only many burger lovers coming in, but quite the number of delivery drivers coming in to pick up burger orders galore. What brought me here to Smish Smash was the fact that a friend and I had theatre tickets at the nearby Golden Gate Theatre and we decided that we needed something quick and delicious before we walked back to the theatre to sit for almost three hours of a show. They suggested that we try this amazing and fun burger concept that was garnering significant buzz and so meeting up at Saluhall was the way to go as they had complimentary WiFi access and plenty of clean and open seating. The menu at Smish Smash is of course filled with burger options with no fewer than seven on their regular menu and a rotating special menu items including items with chili on them including fries, hot dog, and chili in a bowl, not to mention a couple of extra burgers to boot. Each of their burgers on their regular menu has the option of ordering it as a single or double smash burger. Since it was my first time, I ordered a single version of their Cheeseboiga, which had yellow American cheese, pickles, caramelized onions, and mac sauce. My dining mate ordered a single version of their Wow Burger which was topped with white American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and s2 sauce, which is a combination of mayonnaise and relish, with an order of a side of Curly Fries which were cooked in beef tallow, our total bill was 33 dollars before taxes and gratuity were added in. It wouldn't take too long for our order to be custom made by their team and we enjoyed every last bite while sitting at their communal dining inside the Saluhall. The most noticeable thing that I noticed about the smash burgers at Smish Smash was the fact how thin their smashed burgers were, almost paper like thinness, which made for a unique dining experience. But what was lacking in overall heft of the burger was more than made up in terms of overall juiciness and flavor of my overall burger, of which came out clear on the grease and flavor on my fingertips as I ate every last bite. So good was my experience at Smish Smash that a return visit mere a couple of months later was in order when I attended a show at the nearby Orpheum Theatre. With complimentary WiFi and water available to customers, this time I ordered their Smish Smash Special which was their Dac Biet smash burger which was their signature grass-fed smashed beef topped with white American cheese, sliced onions, jalapeños, cilantro, Thai basil, alfalfa sprouts, lime and pho aioli. This particular smash burger, which cost 16 dollars, was a little on the healthier side as the sprouts, onions, and cilantro overpowered everything, but the flavor profile did make it feel as if I was enjoying a bowl filled with pho noodles with all the fixings. I appreciate what Smish Smash is trying to do, as an up and coming entrepreneurial business from pop-up to permanent business in an area that could seriously use the support, I am all in with what Smish Smash is offering up on a daily basis, good affordable trendy smash burgers that makes burger lovers coming back for more and then some! Easily one of the best smash burgers I've had in the bay. I got the cheeseboiga single. Shoe string fries had the best crisp. And take it from me - please don't skip the banana pudding! Service was prompt, and met with a smile. She was patient while we took a while to decide our order. Also, keep a look out for specials. I noticed the special signs right after i placed my order. Food also came out just as quickly. I hope they add more food spots in this food hall! Ambiance is modern, clean. (And there's a Photo Booth!) we will be back!!!

Diners tip: the burger comes with onions, and we both asked for them to be grilled. This is definitely the way to go. The burger is very generous in size, snd delicious. Perfectly seasoned, well-made, and it is that taste sensation that we all crave when eating a burger. The fries were tasty and lightly seasoned, and if you can get through the entire burger and the fries, you get a gold star. Sushi-grade ahi tuna, sliced avocado, green cabbage and cilantro slaw, green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and spicy mayo, all in crispy taco shells. On paper it reads like a fusion experiment that shouldn't work. In practice, it's surprisingly cohesive. The shells held up through delivery, the tuna tasted genuinely fresh, and the spicy mayo brought just enough heat to keep things interesting without overwhelming the fish. The avocado was generous too, which is worth calling out since that's exactly the ingredient a lot of places quietly skimp on. Three tacos were substantial. I was surprisingly full. Worth noting: they packaged these in a sturdy cardboard box that kept everything upright and intact. For tacos on DoorDash, that matters more than people think. Ahi tuna tacos aren't something you see every day, and that's the point. This is Gott's leaning into California roadside in the best way: quality sourcing, an unexpected creation, and execution that holds up even on DoorDash.
