What a find. Thin crust with delicious toppings. Clever combinations that really work. The sliced peach one with hot honey is unique and unbelievably tasty. We also had the lemon one with ricotta which was light and very very good. Just the right pizza with this heat. Chopped salad was basic yet was elevated with the crunchy garbanzos. And to my surprise the ranch was made with dill and I cannot believe two of my faves are together in one holy dressing. Yes. It's that good. Needs to be consecrated LOL. I could go on and on. Man, I don't use Yelp very often so reading some of these reviews really made me yell at the screen lol. Loved the one where the guy was complaining a SLICE didn't stay hot enough to make it across town to his wife's work. Come on, DCS, stop being a slave to the laws of thermodynamics! Is there a bigger oxymoron in the history of the world than the term, "elite yelper"? Pizza here is awesome. The chick that was working the counter was super friendly and warm. Just got good vibes being in there. That says a lot. The pizzas are massive too and at a good price. Slightly more expensive than Pizzava down the road, but way better and way bigger. (No hate Pizzava. Love yall). However, I begrudgingly agree with a couple of the annoying AF complainers that the pizza was a tad underdone. Just slightly. And it isn't the biggest deal because the dough here is some of the best dough I've ever had. Like, literally even just the all crust bites are good. And I spent most of my adult life in San Francisco, so I know ball. This has become tied for best normal pizza in town with, Smiling with Hope. If it was cooked a hair longer, it might even surpass them. Which is cool because my favorite non normal pizza is R-Town. This company now has a monopoly on my pizza consumption. Here for normal. There for when I want to put on my white rimmed sunglasses, bleach my tips and eat a chonky big boy pizza in flavor town. Just go here. It's dope. Play some games next door while you wait. I mean, what's better than pizza and a fricken arcade. The answer is nothing. The dream of the 90's is alive in Midtown. I dunno, do what you want I guess. We were evacuees from the Hawk fire and spent 4 nights in hotels. We heard that Dough Cheese Slice was offering a free slice of pizza and a beverage. My son and I went and had a nice lunch that they comped for us. Not only was the pizza extremely good but their humanitarian grace was up and above the norm. Tried one of Reno's newer pizza spots that's been getting some local buzz, and it definitely has that laid back Midtown hangout feel. The space is compact, super casual, and the arcade games give it a fun neighborhood vibe that makes it easy to settle in. We went with two 18 inch New York style pies, the Midtown and a Tomato option. First impression, you can tell they're using solid ingredients. Everything tasted fresh, which is always a good sign. Where it lost me a bit was in the bake. Parts of the Midtown came out a little too dark, with a crust that leaned more crunchy than that classic foldable, chewy texture. The flavor also skewed on the saltier side with a bit of extra oil. The Tomato pie was the vegetarian pick, and options are a little limited if you don't eat meat, so just something to know going in. This one had a lighter, slightly sweet flavor with a hint of spice, but it didn't have as much depth as expected. The toppings were chopped pretty fine, which changed the texture, and it ended up tasting more like a simple cheese slice than something super herby or garlicky. Pricing sits in the $20-$30 range, which feels a little high at first, but these are full 18 inch pies so you are getting a decent amount of food. Still, for that price, you want the bake to be more consistent. Overall, it feels like a spot that's close to hitting its stride. The foundation is there with quality ingredients and a cool concept, but refining the crust would really pull everything together. I would be open to giving it another try down the line, especially to see how it evolves. read more

Service was friendly. Interior is clean but a little chaotic because the arcade has direct access. Expect to wait 5-10min for a slice of pizza but that may improve as the location matures. The pizza itself was good, not great. However, I will definitely return to give it another chance. The world needs more local slice shops. read more

Best.Pizza.Ever. Honestly though, this place has kinda ruined all other pizza for me because other pizza aspires to be as tasty as the pie from Dough Cheese Sauce. Tiny little weak slices of pie looking up to a slice from Dough Cheese Sauce like a child having a poster of a superhero on their wall. It isn't the pizza Reno deserves but the pizza it needs right now. I'm not even hungry right now but I'd gladly wolf down a classic slice right now if I had more. read more

Im a Newyorker, kind of a gatekeeper on Pizza. This place has a nice touch on their pizzas, usually I complain about ingredients you wouldnt usually find on pizza, BUT the White Pizza here is FIRE. I wouldve never thought lemon slices would be good on a pizza, they sild me on this alone. Service was great and friendly, olace was clean and inviting. Wow! This thin NY style pizza is delicious!! My new favorite! Love the plain cheese pizza and the classic pepperoni pizza. My only suggestion would be sturdier paper plates for dine-in orders as it soaked through 2 regular paper plates and likely would have ruined my clothes if I had set the plate on my lap. read more

The service was great. However the pizza wasn't great. We have wanted to eat here since we discovered they just opened. We finally made it! The pizza is all sitting there and the turnover was low so we got old pizza. Old meaning not just made. So when they reheated it, it made it hard and the cheese was hard. No happy gooey cheese. I found the perfect venue when I hosted a birthday party at Press Start Arcade. Daisy, the Event Coordinator, was amazing! From the moment I reached out for information, to the frequent communication and support leading up to the event, and finally to the big day she was always approachable and available to help. She made the success of the party easy and everyone had an amazing time! All the staff I interacted with at Press Start were friendly and professional. With Daisy's help, I was also able to preorder pizzas and brown butter knots from the connecting restaurant, Dough.Cheese.Sauce. The food was awesome! New York style pizza is the best and they didn't disappoint. The pizza slices were huge, which was perfect for a bigger party. The flavors were great and I love how they offer multiple different sauces for those who prefer non-red sauce options. The brown butter knots and the pizzas were all delicious and well received by my guests. Everyone (including the surprised guest-of-honor) are continuing to talk about what an amazing party it was thanks to Press Start Arcade! Our first time here on a weekday for lunch. Parking on the street was plentiful at this time of day but I imagine at night it's a different story. Inside seating is very limited and only one table outside so unless you're doing takeout it would mean eating standing up. But the pizza might be worth it. The thin crust tasted very good. I ordered the Tri-State with pesto, garlic, pecorino and vodka sauce - it was a little messy but good. The plain cheese pizza was solid and so was the Midtown loaded with red sauce, pepperoni, sweet sausage, hot soppressata, mushroom, onion bells, and olives. We will definitely be back! read more

Bravo! So yummy!!! Our new favorite pizza! Ordered 1/2 Niagara/ 1/2 White Pie lemon ricotta. The Niagara with peaches and hot honey was delicious as the white with lemon and ricotta. Good ranch! Finally, a worthy NY style pizza spot in Northern Nevada. I had high hopes for this place as it's the same ownership as R-town and they make a solid Detroit style pizza - they did not disappoint. As a former New Yorker (Brooklyn), I can say this is the best NY style pizza you'll find in the area. And yes, I've tried all the other places. 100% will be going back, again and again! The only thing I would change is the cook time. If the base could be almost the same doneness as the crust it would be near perfect. read more

Really solid NY style pizza place. Slices are good size, and I only need 1-2, to be full. Therefore, I think the prices are solid for the premium ingredients. Inside the store is no frills, with just a couple seats and some outdoor seating. Can take the pizza and eat at the arcade/bar next door, or take it to go. Service was quick and friendly. Went here tonight and honestly, it was a pretty big letdown. My entire reason for stopping was to surprise my wife with something new. I ordered two Midtown slices and two white pie slices. While I was waiting for mine to be heated, three different people came in after me, ordered single slices, and somehow got their food before I did. They first brought out the Midtown slices. I asked about the white pies and was told they were "heating up now" and would be ready shortly. About 10 minutes later, they finally called my name.  Once everything was ready, I took the order to go and headed over to my wife's work. My car was parked right across the street, and as I drove off, I opened the box and grabbed a Midtown slice. The crust was warm, but the toppings were almost refrigerator cold. Eating a cold slice from the refrigerator at home is one thing, but getting one like that just minutes after leaving the restaurant is pretty sad. As for the white pie I've seen on TikTok, it was basically garlic cheese bread with lemon on it. It was good but not something I'd ever order again. When I dropped the pizza off to my wife, I explained what happened and told her to make sure she heats the pizza up before eating it or she would likely be disappointed. When I got home, she texted me and said she heated the Midtown up in the microwave for about a minute and said it was perfect, she said the dough was really good and the toppings were excellent.  Even though this was my experience, I would definitely go back and give them another try. Mainly due to me being an R Town Pizza guy. However please note that that's the only reason why I would give them a shot again. As for recommending them to someone, I think I will hold off for now and wait until I give him another try. read more

I have had pizza in every corner of this country. I have slaved over fermentation and the perfect dough, and have had old Italian mentors but this is some real deal stuff. When you take a bite of something so iconic and it manages to make your face hurt from the smile it brings you know you have taken a trip back in time. I can't imagine that I will be filling a pizza craving anywhere else. Amazing pies! We tried the Gabagool, the Brighton, and the Deli and all were 10/10. The ranch was crazy good, heavy on the dill which I personally love. The staff was very welcoming and polite and answered all our questions. The barcade attached (not sure if this is a separate business or not) was really fun too (sign said 21+ after 7pm on a Friday). The only "downside" is that there's not a ton of seating inside so make sure to plan accordingly if you want to dine in. Looking forward to coming back and trying their other slices! read more

Yup just as I thought, the pizza is great. Got the deli slice and it's one of the best New York style slices in town. The dough has a great chew, meat is high quality and the sauce is perfection. Also got garlic wings. They were ok. Not crispy enough and not a ton of flavor. The garlic knots were pretty good. I will definitely go back to get more slices. I don't normally leave reviews but i felt compelled to after a my second bad experience. As stated in some other reviews the dude with the long hair behind the counter was extremely rude for no reason. My first experience with this place was the pizza was great, the experience on the other hand was one of the worst. The staff are not friendly at all, we were hungry and decided to eat our pizza at the little table/bar inside. half way through our meal an employee came and grabbed our pizza that wasn't finished to throw it away. they were not busy at the time and there was plenty of room for other people, it was very weird. The second experience i had was the attitude of the guy with long hair behind the counter just being rude to customers and treating people with zero respect even his fellow coworkers and blatantly ignoring questions. I like the pizza but the attitudes i could deal without, doubt ill go back again, there are plenty of other places to get a good pizza. read more
