I don't know why I used to think Din Tai Fung wasn't a great place for vegetarians, I was completely wrong!!! They have a surprisingly good variety of vegetarian options. The vegan bao and spicy vegetarian wontons were absolutely delicious. Don't miss the chocolate and mochi Baos for dessert, they're so good! The ambiance is beautiful, and the service was excellent as well. One tip: add your name to the online waitlist before heading to the restaurant. It can save you a lot of waiting time, especially during peak hours. Definitely recommend!

We came here for lunch today. Luckily the wait wasn't too long but plan on usually having a long wait or make a reservation. Parking was easy in the underground lot. When we got there we checked in with the host and only waited about 5 min (I had put us on the waiting list here on Yelp). Service was great even though the place was packed. Our server was friendly and attentive and the food arrived quickly. We got a lot of things including the baby back ribs, pork chop fried rice, noodles with chicken, spicy shrimp and pork wontons, garlic green beans, pork xlb, and chocolate mochi with sea salt foam. My favorites were the ribs, pork xlb, green beans and chocolate mochi. The pork chop fried rice was a bit too bland for me but my husband and kiddo loved it. Overall we had a great meal and had a bunch of leftovers to take home. Make sure to get the chocolate mochi dumplings - they're amazing!

Din Tai Fung is by far one of my favorite dim sum restaurants that I've ever been to! The quality, flavor, and consistency of their dishes just can't be beat. My personal favorites are the pork and chicken xiao long bao (soup dumplings), sweet and sour pork baby back ribs, chicken dumplings, braised beef noodle soup, and the shredded kurobuta pork fried noodles! While the food is great, my most recent experience I was left a bit wanting in the drinks and service area. The lychee mojito was presented well but the flavors were lacking. For the price, I probably won't order drinks here again. I was also a bit disappointed that we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated despite having a dinner reservation. I'll be back again for the food, because it is so good, but I definitely recommend visiting at lunch time for less wait and better service. Dinner time seems to always be a bit chaotic and overbooked even with a reservation, particularly at the downtown Bellevue location.

We had such a wonderful lunch; it was our first time here and only our second time ever having soup dumplings. What a delicious experience- we got Pork soup dumplings, shrimp & pork spicy wontons, garlic green beans, & their new dish fried noodles with skirt steak. I also ordered a Cucumber gimlet which was refreshingly delicious. Total was around a hundred. Josh & Matt were great; really taking the time to explain the menu to newcomers and reviewing best way to eat them. My husband said the facilities were very clean. Overall great experience, would definitely return if in the area.

Overall: 5 stars Very excited that there was a DTF in Bellevue, and clearly was everyone else because after checking in for the reservation, theres a large crowd thats waiting in the lobby for more than 10 minutes, but unlike the NYC location, there's no dedicated place to sit. The food is very flavorful and delicious, and of the higher quality US locations. Truffle Xiao Long Bao - Expensive, but delicious dumpling with a thick slice of black truffle inside, in addition to more chopped into the filling to ensure that the truffle note is cleaely primary. Deliciously worth it. Chicken Soup - Deep and restorative soup that is clear yet flavorful with pure and clean flavors. The chicken is tender and I love drumstick and wing joints in the soup. Shrimp Siu Mai - Interesting wrapping method of siu mai that actually makes it look better when the top is enclosed by a whole shrimp. I was impressed by how juicy the filling was, as it had more soup than the soup dumplings. Iceberg Lettuce - Cooked well to retain good texture without being obnoxiously hard. The garlic and cooking wine are infused into the lettuce for an impressively flavored dish. Oolong Old Fashioned - Great drink and great syrup that are indidivually well flacored and well made. Unfortunately for me, I had to ask for the drink to be extra extra sweet and I still could not taste tea flavor once the syrup was mixed in as whiskey is an overpowering flavor. That said, the tea flavor is prevelant and delicious standalone. Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: E Service: +1 Menu: +2 Insta/Yelp/Beli: @amei_eats Insta/TikTok: @ameizing.race

I wanted to finally check out the new Bellevue Din Tai Fung for my birthday lunch, and the space is absolutely beautiful. The restaurant is thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated, and feels much more upscale than your typical lunch spot. It was completely packed during our visit, but the service never missed a beat. There seemed to be plenty of staff on hand, and we were checked on frequently throughout our meal. We're longtime Din Tai Fung fans and usually visit the U Village location. This time around we felt that our dishes were a bit saltier than usual. It may have just been an off day, as we've always had consistently great experiences at other locations. Din Tai Fung always hits the spot though. Great food, attentive service, and a beautiful new space make this location well worth a visit.

This place is always a 10/10 location compared with other locations in the state. After remodeled they attracted more people! So the line is WAYYYY LONGER NOW! So either you have to wait for 2 hours or wait at the bar line if you are over 21 it might be slightly shorter but still a wait. So I highly recommend to make reservations!! Their food are always THE BEST! And you can't find any place that can replace DTF! I highly recommend to get the chocolate XLB with the sea salt cream. Also get the rice cake before they take that item out!!!!

    Frank L.

5 Stars black pepper beef tenderloin. Just do it. No way you won't like it . Top 2 must order item this and XLB. Service remains top, along with prices unfortunately, yet people still come despite losing a paycheck during each visit. For the most part it is worth it, but how sustainable. Din Tai Fung is the standard for every restaurant in the world to follow. No bigger money making machine with widespread locations while keeping quality consistent.

Just like every other Din Tai Fung; it gets busy and i highly recommend to make a reservation in advance. Its a very nice restaurant and very professional staffs and great foods. But i dont think its worth waiting for more than one hour. But if you have the time; by all means its your choice. We made reservation and got seated within 5 minutes. We did not get much since it was just the two of us; but all of themm tastes great. We order shrimps siumai but they brought the sticky rice siumai instead but we still eat em anyway and it tastes great as well so no complain. What we got: Sticky rice siumai (3.5/5) Its good; but not mind blowing good Green bean w/ garlic (3.5/5) We tried it because if all the hype; its good; but nothing to be hype about; its green beans and garlic; the draw is that its simple, easy to eat, and addicting. Pork ribs (4.5/5) My favorite out of all the dishes we got. It has lots of flavor. Cucumber salad (3.5/5) While its a good refreshing dish; i think it lacks a punch; its very lightly seasoned cucumbers. Xiao long bao (4.5/5) This was really good! Very light and easy to eat; could continue eating more. Overall Its a good dim sum restaurant w/ high end vibes that matches the price. Super busy. Get a reservation!

Din Tai Fung in the newly remodeled location is absolutely beautiful and huge! The place is modern and elegant. They have great seating options for small and large groups. Every single dish we ordered was amazing! We love ordering a feast every time because everything is so delicious! We got our favorites, including pork and chicken xiao long bao, spicy chicken wontons, cucumber salad, string beans with garlic, and chicken fried rice. We finished it off with chocolate dumplings with sea salt cream. The food is so good every single time I go; I'm amazed by the quality and service! I highly suggest stopping by here! Every time I've been here, there's typically a wait; however, you can join the waitlist online and shop in the mall while you wait!

We decided to have an early dinner on Friday since we got off work a little early. Without a reservation, we wanted to test our luck with Din Tai Fung in Bellevue, knowing they're usually busy. We arrived around 4:30 pm and were pleasantly surprised to be seated within 10 minutes. The server was extremely friendly, and we really enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance. We ended up ordering more than we could finish, but we didn't mind--variety is always important! We tried the crab soup dumplings, steamed vegan dumplings, shrimp and pork wontons in chili oil, beef noodle soup, shrimp and pork potstickers, pork chop fried rice, garlic green beans, and garlic broccoli. Everything was delicious, though the green beans and broccoli were slightly on the saltier side. The beef noodle soup was superb, with tender beef and a perfectly flavored broth. The wontons weren't as spicy as expected but still tasted good. The rest of the dishes met our expectations and were just as satisfying. For this location, it's probably best to make a reservation, but if you're feeling spontaneous like we were, try going during off-peak hours. We'll definitely be back!

We went on a Wednesday around 6:30pm and had no wait to get seated. The restaurant has parking that is shared with many other vendors along a line, and I can definitely foresee parking becoming a issue during busy hours as there aren't a ton of parking spots - just to note during peak business hours. We were the only diners during our visit, so service was focused entire on us - I personally felt that the service could have been better as the waitress made us feel a bit rushed when ordering. The ambiance is casual dine in, with Chinese inspired decor. The lighting was a little bit off as it was pretty dim with a fluorescent color - unfortunately felt a bit like they were at closing time with the ambiance vibes. We ordered three dishes, which I'll review down below: Lions Head Meatballs ($25): I've had lion's head meatballs at another Chinese establishment on Eastside, and these are decent meatballs in comparison for very slightly cheaper. Tender and nice light flavor, it is nice that they are supplemented with bok choy as they are quite hearty. Salted Egg and Shrimp Tofu ($20): I think this was my favorite dish out of the three. Better quantity and the salted egg gives a nice creamy and subtle savory flavor, and goes nicely with rice. Tofu is cooked well, and there is a small scattering of shrimp throughout the plate. Shanghai Style Braised Kaofu ($15): A cold Shanghai kaofu is a classic dish that I've tried many times, and I think a restaurant should serve if they are Shanghainese. The kaofu has nice flavor - not too sweet and not too salty with a pleasing spongey texture. I only wished that the quantity was bigger for $15 - the spoon for scale really gives the impression of how large the plate was, and underneath the initial layer of kaofu you see in the picture, there unfortunately wasn't any more, just other components like bamboo shoots and woodear. Though most of the dishes had good flavor, the pricing was steep considering the amount of food you get for the price you pay. I left still feeling a bit hungry as Shanghai dishes are usually lighter and don't fill you up as much. Though there aren't too many other Shanghai restaurants to compare to on Eastside, I'll probably put Shanghai House at like a 3.5/5 in all things considered.

Really solid selection of dumpling dishes, including a very good version of pork soup dumplings…read more(xiao long bao). The three of us came here on a Tuesday holiday for lunch (after checking to make sure they were open). It wasn't too crowded inside and we got seated right away. Water was brought immediately, and one paper menu with pen was given to make our choices (similar to a dim sum place). One thing to notice right away was that everything was under ten dollars (with most under eight), encouraging one to try different things since most are shareable. That's what we did, and most it was quite good. Beef-stew Noodle Soup ($9.95) - on the smaller side but definitely appropriate for the price, with a bit weak beef broth (flavored with star anise and other chinese spices) that was oily. It used small chunks of beef with a lot of gristle around (probably from the shank), which I think is the absolute best cut of beef for this dish). The noodles were OK. Definitely satisfying considering the Seattle winter weather. Pork Xiao Long Bao ($9.25 each) - comes in eights and are the typical (smaller) size. It was expertly handmade, which makes the price very reasonable. Interestingly, the pork and crab version is the same price (which if one frequents DTF knows is unusual). The skin was thin with the top not too thick, the pork sausage inside was flavorful and the soup gelatin was tasty. It's a very good version of XLB, and deserved the two steamer baskets that we got (and devoured) Chinese Crepe ($7.15) - this was a special, with a egg and flour batter wrapping around crispy won-ton chips, covered in a dark house special sauce. It looked interesting (and I love omelets) so worth a taste, but we wouldn't get it again. Pork & Shrimp Potstickers, pan fried ($7.15) - probably my favorite dish this time. Definitely worth the pan fried style, with a beautiful dumpling 'skirt'...beautiful to look at, and enjoyable to eat too. The pork filling is consistently good here. Q-Bao: pan fried pork buns (9.95) - really interesting...combines the dough and breadiness of a chinese bao, with the filling of a potsticker, and then having the bottom pan fried. It was OK. One thing I really like about Dough Zone are the simple accoutrements at the table: soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil...all high quality. For the soup dumplings, little ramekins of ginger are given, but instead of it being sliced, the ginger is crushed, letting it mix even better. My wife really likes it with the XLB, and will ask for it at other places...so far, Dough Zone is the only place that does it like this. Service was OK throughout. It was well staffed, and they weren't very busy so food came out right away hot. They did finally refill the water towards the end of the meal. Paying was at the table and was quick and easy. Founded in 2014 in Bellevue, WA, this is one of two locations in Bellevue (and one of fourteen in WA). There are also three locations in OR, five in NorCal, and four in the Houston, TX area. One of the benefits of having so many locations close together in the Seattle area: can optimize the consistency of the product by prepping much of it in a central place, which reduces costs as well (which I believe is passed down to the customer). There is a lot of competition for this type of cuisine in this area...Dough Zone's continued expansion seems to indicate they are doing things right.

Noodle Nine delivers a genuinely authentic dining experience that feels like stepping into a slice…read moreof everyday Asia rather than a polished, commercialized version of it. From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.

I've been influenced! I've seen this restaurant on my feed for a while and finally tried it. Wow…read morethis was delicious. The space is minimally decorated, very small, but the food makes up for the lack of pizazz. There was a lady at the front window hand wrapping dumplings, it was a chive and pork wonton. We ordered that, pan fried wontons. It was good but the highlight of the meal was the Shanghai king dumpling and the braised pork on dry noodles. Wow those are amazing. Definitely worth the hype! Be sure to give yourself extra time because there was a wait to be seated on Saturday lunch. And it's a small place.

This is closer to a 3.5 than a 4, a decent experience…read more I came here a couple weeks ago for lunch and have been curious about the place since it was in the same area as Zhangliang malatang and had a good amount of people inside. The space is small and a little narrow, so seating can be pretty limited. My parents and I were lucky enough to grab the last table, and we ordered 4 items: the dry noodle with scallion oil and braised pork chop, the secret dumplings, large wonton, and salty soy milk (dumplings and wonton aren't pictured). I was most curious and most disappointed by the scallion noodle and pork chop. The portion size seemed too small to justify its price point, and I felt the pork chop tasted dry. The noodles however, had a great flavor, so if I were to try the place again, I'd only go for the scallion oil noodles. The dumplings were amazing. They were a little pricey but worth the cost, and worth the restaurant name. The dumplings were larger than most dumpling places I've been to, and the meat and soup inside were super flavorful. The wontons were also good, though it can't beat the pan fried dumplings. The salty soy milk was a very unique experience- it was thicker, rich and flavorful than other salty soy milk soups that I'm used to. It almost has an umami, seafood-ish taste to it. Though I'm not a big fan of soy milk, I enjoyed this dish more than expected! After our meal, we got to choose some magnets to take home, which was a creative and sweet gift. For the overall price point, I don't think I'd be coming here regularly for a meal. I may drop by for choice items like the pan fried dumplings!
