I don't know how long it takes for their pizza to get cold, but it takes them longer than that to bring you a plate, settings, and red pepper. After waiting about 15 minutes, I just got up and left, the pizza was cold. And to look at the pizza, they used very little sauce, and very few pepperoni. I've eaten here before, plenty of times, and this is not their pizza. It was basically a glorified cheese, crisp, a very cold, glorified cheese, crisp. The funny part is, I can see the employees, seeing that I left, thinking what a jerk, and not one of them, noticing, no plate, no Settings, no red pepper, just a cold cheese crisp. And by the way, the guy that came out of the kitchen to drop the pizza off, just threw it down in front of me and walked away, he was kinda snotty and shouldn't work hospitality. Greek salad is phenomenal! It's chopped and the dressing was perfectly balanced tart and citrusy. The pot pie crust is perfectly crisp and the filling was really well seasoned, not too moist and had the perfect amount of herbs. Tried the Doughbird in Arcadia for Restaurant Week last year and got hooked! Followed Arvand over to this North Central location once it opened. Arvand is a fast and amazing bartender and offers genuine suggestions/input. Bartending duties aside, he is a stellar person; super knowledgeable and humorous and remembered us after only one visit and several months had passed. It is always such a fun and enjoyable experience sitting at the bar with Arvand; I always learn something and leave feeling valued. Some of my favorite menu items: The Bourbon and Bells is savory with the perfect hint of sweetness and the espresso martini is actually the best in town IMO. I have literally been on a scavenger hunt for the last year to find the best espresso martini in Phoenix metro and Doughbird has held steady in my first place slot. The shishito peppers are charred just right and that umami sauce is so decadent and savory I could drink a glass of it. The pizzas are delicious and the gluten free crust is one of the better GF crusts I've tried and is actually way better than some other places around town's regular crust. read more

Came to Doughbird for an early lunch before my flight. It was not so crowded when we arrived so we were able to put in our appetizers, the mozzarella sticks and buffalo chicken wings - which were delicious! Our server was amazing and very attentive. He let us know that there was a bigger party that just walked in and if we wanted to order our entrees we should do so. We ordered the spicy Hawaiian pizza - fair warning, it is only "spicy" because of the jalapenos. But nonetheless, it was amazing and stayed hot for a very long time even though we didn't dig into the entrée until abut 10 min after it showed up. The set up inside is beautiful. The emerald green and gold trim on the chairs really makes the place feel like luxury. The plants around the bar really tie in with the green to make it greenhouse like. I would love to see this place during sunset. If you do come on a hot day, and get seated outside, do not worry, there are misters lining the outside of the restaurant that keep you cool. I will definitely be visiting Doughbird again when I visit AZ! Hopefully it stays Doughbird as there have been many restaurant changes at this location the past few years! read more

It is definitely a loud atmosphere, and we were seated near the middle of the restaurant by the bar area and it was probably even louder in this area. Not a great place for large groups that are trying to talk across the table. Service was great, servers were quick, kind and helpful. Food took a bit to come out, but nothing crazy. Overall, pretty unimpressed with the food for the price/hype, didn't taste like anything special for the pizza. As far as the chicken and fries go, I'd just as soon go to a Raising Cane's, which isn't to say it wasn't good...just not worth the price and overall experience. We came here for the potato wedges. They font serve them anymore, since October 2024. Bummer. That being said, their Copper Hat pizza is top notch. Really really good. Paired with the Sangiovese, you can't go wrong. Their bbq sauce also is tasty so we got some to go. Prices were alright - $20 for the pizza but $17 for a glass of wine. A bit steep. I'm giving this a generous 4- Id say this place has potential and would more exactly like to rate it 3.5-3.75 stars, but I I always round up in these cases. I think this replaced what used to be Bevvy. This is a great location in the uptown Phoenix area, but there does seem to be turnover every few years and I am not sure why. I came here over the weekend to catch up with a couple friends. We were seated at a booth facing the bar. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, brought our drinks (a bunch of diet sodas all around) out and took our orders promptly. I have had the pizza at the Indian school location, so I was excited to try their rotisserie chicken this time. I also was intrigued by the pepperoni chip appetizer. The wait for the apps and entrees was noticeable- about 15-20 mins before the pepperoni chips came out. Also, small note, one of my friends asked if there was any complimentary bread, and our waitress ended up bringing out some pretty delicious cheesy bread sticks with the pepperoni chips and the buffalo wings. However, at the end, my friend noted that the bread she brought out was the truffle cheese appetizer, and it was $14. Note a huge deal for a group party, but if there's no regular complimentary bread, I think he would've preferred that she just said so instead of upselling one of their apps. The pepperoni chips were ok- for some reason, I had expected them to be battered/fried, not just plain fried, but that's on me. I did enjoy the buffalo wings - great spicy sauce. As for our entrees, my friends split the hawaiian pizza and I had the half chicken with fried brussel sprouts. I tried the teriyaki sauce, which isn't a normal go to for me, and it was tasty. I also enjoyed the brussel sprouts. However, again, the entrees took another 15 or 20 mins to come out after the appetizers. And it was a bit interesting, because we noticed a lot of staff just standing around watching the games on tv (I know the cooking is out of their control, but it still had me wondering why we were waiting so long between each course). All in all, I'm glad that my friends picked this spot, I've always loved this part of town, but I do think there's room for improvement, especially in terms of wait time after being seated. Another minor note, soft drinks here are $4.50 (unlimited, I'm assuming, since she did refill us a few times), but that's steeper than I was expecting- I personally rarely order soda, have only started recently this month, but always thought it was usually $2-3 at a restaurant and the rest of the group expressed similar sentiments. I am an out of towner and whenever I am in Phoenix I have to stop at doughbird. I have been to the Arcadia doughbird a few times but this is my first time this location. Such a cute vibe. Did I specifically go to this location to try the mozzarella sticks? Yes. They were pretty good, didn't spare on the cheese which I am here for. This place was great! I went for a friends birthday and this restaurant was the perfect place for it. I got the carmelized cauliflower and it was AMAZING. My only critique is that I was not filling and it didn't come with sides, and for that same price you could get something else and take extra home. My friends who got pizza raved about it- they were big and looked so good. The servers were super kind, but didn't check on us frequently and forgot one of the tables dishes. Thought it would be cold... but surprisingly if was very warm. Nice space . Not sure about the TVs outside. ( kind of reminds me of a sports bar) Ordered cocktails ( some Mocktails as well). I find that a $13 drink had so much ice. 4 sips... done. Disappointed. Ordered the Brussel sprouts and mozzarella sticks for appetizers. The Brussels were wonderful. Highly recommend. Love the open air design. Menu was easy enough so we went with the Truffle Cheese Bread, Chicken Pot Pie, and the Chilean Salmon with a side of Mac and Cheese. Please try the dang cheese bread! A slight hiccup with service early on, but quickly rectified and we had not 1, but 2 managers came by to apologize for the issue and to make sure my husband and I were well taken care of for the rest of the evening . We perused the menu, but we were both in the mood for pizza. I ordered the Copper Hat and my husband went with the Aviator. Copper Hat has prosciutto, arugula, goat cheese, medjool dates and pistachios. It may sound like an odd combination, but it works. I will admit that I didn't actually taste any pistachio, but the flavor was amazing. Salty prosciutto and sweet dates with the creamy earthy bite of the goat cheese and the slight peppery arugula - an unbeatable combination! My mouth was so happy! The Aviator is a meat lovers paradise. Pepperoni - crispy and spicy. Nueske's bacon added a nice sweet bite. And of course sausage, tomato sauce and mozzarella. He was certainly in paradise! Bottom line - the pizza here is delicious! I've been to the Arcadia location before and brought pizza home which we enjoyed, but hot and fresh was even better. This location is beautiful and much more convenient from home, so between the food, service and location - we will definitely be back. I ordered the chicken pot pie, which was excellent--flavorful and savory, with a buttery crust, a rich cream and chicken base, and no pesky peas. Easily the highlight of the meal. It's also a generous portion, big enough to share between two people, which is a nice bonus. I also sampled the sausage/mushroom and Hawaiian pizzas, both well-executed with fresh toppings and a great crust. Of the two, the Hawaiian stood out. I don't usually like Hawaiian pizza, but they pulled it off well--the ham was high quality, the pineapple was thinly sliced and cooked just enough to avoid overpowering the dish, and the jalapeño slices added a subtle heat. Came here again on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy. We usually get the normal pizza but this time we were feelin freaky and wanted to try the Detroit style. If anyones tried the truffle cheese bread and noticed the thickness of that bread, the Detroit style is very similar if not the same to that. It wasn't too overpowering but it was great for us bread lovers, it comes with 4 slices and we shared it between the 2 of us and were surprisingly full. I've been to the location on Indian School where i've enjoyed the pizza and other menu offerings in the past. I was really in the mood for a burger, but the one here only had shitty reviews on Yelp, so I'll leave a positive one! :) It's actually decent and huge. It's a standard pub burger cooked to your preference and comes with a ton of skinny fries. Service was quick and great -- Alex was very attentive.
