I order cadalaic drink & it was fire. They have hookah and I was hype about that. I ordered the blue Burberry & blue & it was good. The hookah girl was slow asf, I was getting impatient. I ordered the fish fried basket, creamy Mac & cheese, greens beans. I was mad that my Mac was cold, send it back, & I still wasn't impressed. I will say the fish is good & I was impressed. I have several things to say about this establishment. The food was extremely mid, and none of my party enjoyed their food. Do not get the fried French toast, I repeat DO not!!!! It tastes like a funnel cake, and it's impossible to finish. The lamp chops were TINY, and not worth it. The grits were disgusting. The potatoes were okay. Now to the service... where do I begin... it was scorching hot inside. It was so hot inside the hostesses and the servers were walking around with fans. We all left sweating, I don't see how this business is able to be open. The plastic forks that they give out to cut through the THICK French toast or lamb chops made absolutely NO sense. My group and I were excited to find a cajun eatery in Austin. When we arrived we noticed there were only 2 servers and one bartender. The tv's were off and the machine for frozen drinks appeared to not be working. Our server did the best he could and let us know it would be a wait because there are only two servers. It took about 30 minutes for our food to come out and when it did it came out in pieces rather than altogether. We tried the fish and french toast, the fish was tasty but the french toast was hard and over cooked. I ordered the chicken and waffles, the chicken was tasty but the waffles were dry and lacked flavor. The lamb chops were really small and grits were ok, both came out luke warm. The berry and Henny mimosas did not have much flavor. The saving grace were the sweet potato wings and how well our server performed under pressure. I'm not sure i'll return. I'm very disappointed with how inconsistent the quality of the food is. My first time trying this place I had the Swamp Fries and everything was fresh and delicious. My second visit, I had the Swamp Fries and a pound of Crawfish. The Crawfish were over cooked and chewy and the Fries were drenched with sauce, there were no crawfish included, a sprinkling of crab and I was given grilled shrimp instead of fried. Today, (because I'm a glutton for punishment) I ordered Swamp Fries again, and again I was disappointed. I checked to make sure my order was correct before I left and on the surface it appeared to be. However, when I got home and bit into my food the actual French fries tasted weird. The texture was that of fries you reheat in the microwave and they were either black, burnt or brown. I've tried to support several times and I ALWAYS tip, as one should, but I won't be returning, nor recommending. You will definitely enjoy the 5 cuisines and the atmosphere way better at Cajjun eats more than any other restaurant/bar . They have a dj that's always on point. They have hookahs and signature drinks that will have you twisted !!! It's the ultimate spot for date night or Ladies , especially if you like to dance !! I am only going to give the review based off the food. I ordered through Uber eats cause I'm tired from the ride.. Most of my order is incorrect. I never received my green beans. I got the seafood Mac and chicken but it came with no seafood. Now I will say... that Mac was awesome... taste just like grandmas backed Mac n cheese. We also got the large Cajun grits. It wasn't much shrimp in it and I had to call back cause I seen no other seafood in it but it was supposedly in the sauce. Even though it was lacking a lot of things. It was really good. I think i would prefer to drive to this place and make sure my order was done right the first time. It doesn't rule me out from going again though. I'm glad to have another Cajun option in the city and especially one owners by BIPOC. I'd heard much about the place and seen pics from friends but finally had the opportunity to try them. It's good! I tried the Cajun pasta with chicken, shrimp, and sausage. I also tried the seafood grits. The grits seems. But on the salty side. This could be just my personal taste because I usually eat pretty clean these days and perhaps I'm just not used to the sodium content anymore. That's said, this food is RICH rich... very RICH lol! And the portions are huge. The pasta entree could literally feed at least four people no cap. I can't comment on the wait time directly since I used a third-party delivery service. This was my first time attending Cajjun Eats with my husband. We both had the lamb chops and they were seasoned to perfection. Me and my husband were arguing throughout our visit there and on the brink of divorce, but our server, Cori saved our marriage with her positive outlook and sense of humor. Thank you so much to Cori for her impeccable service and outlook on life. My 3 kids won't have to deal with the trauma of split Christmases and having to go back and forth between my and their father's house because he doesn't even know what kind of towels are the good towels. Talking about a good vibe this night was perfect. I enjoyed the music and margaritas on St. Patrick's day. The DJ was playing all the right sounds for the evening. I ordered from the specials menu and had crawfish with corn and potatoes. I also had a chicken wing appetizer. Sorry to say I didn't get a picture of the wing but it was seasoned to perfection and came out steaming hot. My crawfish made me do the happy dance in my seat. The dipping sauce was great too. My first visit was yesterday evening. The hostesses and staff were very attentive and understood that is was hot. We were checked on and asked if we wanted water often. We ordered food and received it hot and fresh in a good amount of time. I ordered the chicken protein bowl. It was well seasoned and I had plenty left to take home. The drinks were delicious and the music was jammin! The only reason it's not 5 is because it's outside under a covered patio in the Texas heat. I will definitely be returning soon. Came for the Thursday night dj, comedy, and poetry night. Was able to get seated pretty quickly even though the place was about full. Quick service, and most of the food came out pretty quickly, too. Ordered sticky lamb chops and did not receive a lot of napkins at first. Would suggest delivering more napkins and perhaps wet wipes for those types of orders that include the sticky sauce. That sticky sauce is too yummy for me to not have my hands all over it while I was eating my chops, lol. Also, I was not a fan of the toilets in the women's bathroom being filled with tissue, but otherwise, it was an enjoyable experience. Really loved the live entertainment & the Thursday reverse happy hour special (1/2 off cocktails 8pm-11pm). Even though the food and entertainment was neat, I'm giving this place 3 stars because when I cashed out and received my receipt, I discovered that I was charged full price for my order despite ordering during happy hour. It took about 20 mins for the issue to be resolved. Additionally, I ordered a salad, and the waitress forgot to add it to the order. We went on a Saturday afternoon and they had a DJ playing hip hop and R&B. Ok I'm glad to see this atmosphere in the Austin area. They are totally understaffed. I came with a party and about 6 of us ordered food. My friend, who ordered her food first, got her food almost an hour and half later. It was forgotten. I had to talk to the waiter and host to get them to check on her food. I purchased the fish basket and it came in about 25 minutes. It was bland. I know I wouldn't ordered it again here. But I've heard their chicken is fire and that's what my friend ordered so my next trip will be for the chicken. The drinks are good. I ordered the hurricane and the suicide (that came with a Henny shot). Sunday funday comes with a dj and a turn up crowd so probably should leave the babies at home. This was my first time at the new location and I was extremely happy with the experience. The hostess and waiter were excellent. I tried the Fish & Waffles combo and they was delicious. The waffles were the best I had in the area. You would think that was the standard, but you are wrong. The fish was off the chart. They were tender and the batter was seasoned to profection. The lamb chops looked like popsicles super small and not worth the price. The wait for the food was super long then for it to be nasty was such a disappointment. Brunch Time! Dropped in for a food truck bite with a friend. The entire scene was great, plenty of seating and the music wasn't too bad. We had the Bayou grits and the chicken and waffles from the brunch menu. The service was ok but the food was lacking in flavor and warmth. I realllyyy wanted to like this spot from looking at the IG posts and food options. But here goes. 1. The place is displayed as a venue, which is not the case. I walked up a little confused because it is an all outdoor patio (including outdoor restrooms/porta-potties) surrounded by other food trucks and a grocery store. 2. I ordered my food, they ask you to tip ahead of getting the food which I did of course because I was in the industry for awhile (mistake #1). 3. The girl informs me that they did not have water nor drinks so after ordering my food I had to go inside an adjoined grocery store to purchase my drinks. (The liquor was not set up yet even though I came about an hour after the opening time) 4. I ordered the breakfast platter. Simple....eggs grits French toast bacon etc. About 30 minutes after waiting (there were only 3 ordered in front of me waiting) I approached the counter to ask about my order. They told me another 5-10 minutes. 5. I go back to the seat. 10 minutes pass. The cook comes out and says "we are out of bacon that's what has been taking so long". Excuse me what?!? At this point I ordered 40 minutes ago and you're just now coming out to tell me you're out of bacon? Just give me something else. Why didn't your order taker know this? So many things wrong here 6. The reason I'm leaving this review is mostly due to the lack of customer service nor care from the OWNER who was sitting smoking hookah with his girlfriend in the corner. I tried to reason with him being from the industry and all he said was "well we aren't used to being open on Saturday sorry". People please stop opening restaurants and you have no idea of how to run a restaurant including customer service and set up. I was so over it I left. I had such high hopes for this restaurant. I came here for a day party on Juneteenth and was told that the DJ wouldn't be on until 5pm. That should have been clearly advertised. I waited an hour for my food and only got my food because I asked the manager about it. Someone who ordered the chefs special got their food before me even though they ordered after me. I ordered a $13 dollar crab cluster that was pitiful looking. I would have done better getting them from Publix. The corn and potatoes had no Cajun seasoning on them even though I was told by the cashier it would have it. If you do come here stick with the fried food. read more

The bartender advised that the kitchen was in between transitioning between brunch and dinner! So we decided to order appetizers and the bartender came back to advise that they can't take orders until 4:45. The fact that the kitchen staff is unable to make appetizers demonstrates that there is problem on the kitchen! WTH. Other observations noted is that some of the employees sitting at the bar. In addition, one of the owners acting as a patron and not being concerned with the inability to serve customers in the restaurant and the transition between services. So this past Sunday myself and 4 others came from out of town to experience this restaurant for a birthday. Music was good when they played a song longer than 15-25 seconds. Service was extremely poor and drinks were watered down. The main issue is we all ordered together (1 salmon appetizer and salad. 2 fried Wing platters and 2 pork chop platters) Salmon came out within 15 mins, pork chops came out about 35 mins later, a chicken platter 5 mins after that and AFTER everyone had received their items but me and had eaten mine came out a total of 1hr and 17 mins after my party had received their meals. No it was not packed, I spoke with my waiter and manager and still nothing accommodation was made. extremely poor service, will not return read more
