Last they installed a tile shower and it also turned out good but what I don't appreciate is when you bid out a job you got to be upfront with your customers. We agreed to a full water tight tile shower installation from start to finish. 2 days before the job was about to be completed he brought up the fact that we would need to spend a additional 1500-2000$ to his sub contractor for the shower glass doors, which he knew would be needed for a proper installation but chose not to be upfront about this very major detail when we originally went over the contract. So now my shower is still leaking with curtains on it until we can afford 1500-2000$ for glass doors as it leaks every time I use it with a curtain. Never pay for a job upfront because stuff like this ends up happening to the home owner and you lose all leverage one the money is paid up front. California is a state that typically only allows contractors to ask for ten percent down until the job is finished and the state recommends this for this exact situation. Also didn't appreciate the rude comments made to me multiple time over this matter.

I had to have stairs completely redone because prior guys work was shoddy and stairs were unsafe. Shane took a look and told me they would have to take out everything and redo. Shane scheduled a date for about 3 weeks to replace carpet upstairs and redo entire stairs. I moved the smaller things in 3 bedrooms. Louis and David moved all the heavy furniture and put it back. Louis and David showed up daily at the appointed time and worked all day, only stopping for lunch. They were both great. They kept me informed of what they were doing and cleaned up each day. They provided great customer service. They took note of details and did an excellent job. I now feel safe walking on my stairs. They even worked Saturday to complete the stairs . They got a day behind because i had to have a sub floor installed. They worked all day Saturday and finished up Monday morning. Shane checked progress of work on a daily basis. Everything looks beautiful. They were all very easy to work with. I would love to work with them again. Great job Houston Floors, Louis, David and Shane.

However, the other company stated the work could be done in one day which concerned us. Steve stated the work (3 doors each installation) would take 2 days. They also guarantee their installation for life. What we've learned- often the hard way- is that everything depends upon the installation, attention to detail, or the prep.
