I come here at least 4 times a month cause it's so good. However, they recently made a change to how the small bites are served. Previously, they were made fresh to order and SO SO GOOD. Now, they pre-make it and serve it buffet style. This causes the rice cakes to be stale, and the crispy chicken and pork to be lukewarm. They don't taste fresh anymore. I large part of us coming to this hot pot place was due to the fresh small bites. I'll have to reconsider coming here cause the quality is going down. I wish management highly considers going back to how the small bites were previously served: made to order and fresh. Until then, I'll be looking for a replacement and recommend that my friends do the same. read more

I would consider our family as regulars here and come to this location often with friends. The managers and workers here usually recognize us. We haven't been here in a few weeks so the family was craving dPot so we went this past Friday. My go to broth is the Pho which my kids love as well, along with the fried pork belly sides. Unfortunately on our visit they said they stop serving both. While very disappointed we still enjoy the rest of the food and will come back but not sure how often anymore. Also they installed an ordering pad at the table which was very efficient. Please bring back the Pho broth and fried pork belly!!! read more

My family and I love eating hot pot. We eat here regularly and I love that each individual can select their own flavor of broth they want to cook with. Food is always fresh and plentiful. Service is always a hit or miss here. There are times servers check on us and there are other times no one comes to check in on us. On those times, I'm looking around and waving down for someone to attend to us. The place is pretty clean and they can get busy during prime dinner hours. Will I continue to eat here? Yes. Dpot Unlimited Shabu is hands down one of the best spots in Irvine! This is the place where you truly "come hungry and leave stuffed"! The selection is fantastic. They have some really great meat options, veggie and seafood bar. What was very impressive was their steamed meat options! They have plenty of small bites to add. The food here constantly fresh and well-stocked with everything you could possibly want ! Let's not forget the different options of noodles & sauce bar! My fav new shabu place!! I'm sorry for always overlooking it whenever I see it but I gave it a chance today and it WOWED me. For an AYCE experience it was amazing and particularly enjoyed: -cold soba -fried pork belly!! with rice on the side -half pork belly and half beef steam stacker -the premium toppings like thick glass noodles and quail eggs at the serve yourself bar -the lil refreshing slush at the end of the meal Parking was easy with a big shared lot and I had only to wait 10 min in a weekday night. If you're trying to figure out what makes this hot pot restaurant different than others, it is the steamed meats. I was skeptical at first but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised on how delicious it can be, flavorful, tender, and superb all around. We came during a weekend for dinner and had to wait about 30 minutes. Because this is located in the Woodbridge plaza by the AMC (formerly dollar theater - yes, I remember those days), there's plenty to do while you wait. Service was fast and we got our meats and broth within a few minutes of ordering. We got the bulgogi broth (kind of sweet, if you enjoy sweet broths) and mala broth (I'd say a 5/10 spicy level). Of all the meats, I recommend the rib eye, tender and melts in your mouth. There's also "small bites" of fried pork belly and chicken karaage. I recommend the latter. The interior is spacious but you should wear what you would wear to a kbbq because your clothes may smell like food afterwards. read more

ORDER dinner (3.5/5) i got the spicy seafood broth and my friend for the bulgogi broth. both were flavorful; the spicy seafood had the perfect kick to it & the bulgogi reminds me of sukiyaki broth. as for the meats, we rotated between the various beef options, which were all super tender. the sauces were so good, i liked the sesame and ponzu sauce as is. my only and biggest complaint is the selection. for basically $40 a person after tax, i expected a wider variety. the "buffet" area is very small, i feel like if it was busier, there would be a wait there. i also tried the cold korean noodles, which i'll definitely pass on next time. SERVICE we waited less than an hour at around 8pm on a saturday. unfortunately, you can only join the waitlist once you're there. there was a little bit of a wait before someone took our order, but afterwards the staff were attentive and checked up on us every now and then. They offer a few different flavors of broth and a selection of high quality meats. I love enjoying both their shabu shabu meat as well as the meat in the stackers. This place is delicious! I came here with a group of friends to catch up on a cold November night and it was stellar. They had a variety of broth favors to choose from. I started with the Doenjang broth and it was light. After a round of beef going through it, I asked them to add the pork broth in to kick the flavor in a bit. Keep in mind that this is AYCE so your broth will evolve as more items join the party. Love how the menu is straightforward. I was surprised that they had Steamed Shabu on the side for you to choose from. That was my first time around and I loved it. Small bites were also nice since it was made to order and not sitting under a lamp. Service was prompt and friendly. A nice touch was their self-service seafood options for those who are pescatarian. You also have noodles, veggies, and typical meatball selections as well. One thing I wished they could improve somehow is the sauce bar. Think there was only one and the line can get a bit long. They had a good selection of vegetables and seafood, and of course unlimited top blade (they do have pork, lamb, and chicken if you're adventurist and want to go beyond beef). One unique plus is their option for "STACKERS" which is cooked beef and/or pork slices (thin slices) served on a bed of shredded cabbage. This is typically served early on so you have something to start on while you wait for your broth to heat up and the veggies to cook. The absolute best AYCE hotpot. Sat us down in 5-10 min and it was pretty busy. The place is very tidy and theyre quick to get any extra dishes out of the way. Staff works very hard and is constantly checking on you. The AYCE grabbing area is amazing. I love quail egg and that was an option there. I got a seafood soup with chicken and definitely enjoyed everything I got. Our server was Danny and he was extremely polite, patient, and thorough! Located in a plaza so parking is plentiful. We arrived around 7 pm on a Friday night and had to wait around 30 mins for a party of 4. Menu is online and you order with a server. We were allowed to select 5 meat option and 1 stacker at a time. The stackers came cooked already. I do not recommend getting the blue lemonade. It was small and not that good. Not worth $5. Table is also kinda cramped for 4 people with sides, meats, broth, and the stacker. Seafood broth was okay, not very spicy. The bulgogi broth was sweet, for my brother it was too sweet for his liking but my dad and I enjoyed it. The beef broth is your typical beef bone broth. We tried everything on the meat selection except chicken. My favorite were the wagyu galbi eye and rib eye. They were really soft and flavorful. Service is quick. They always have someone walking around so easy to order your meat. The meats come out pretty fast but the stacker have to wait a bit. They have a sauce and side bar were you line up to grab what you want. My favorite sides were the bok choy, mushroom, rice cake, udon, kimchi, fish ball, and dumpling. They have a pretty good selection. There were also napa cabbage, spinach, shrimp, ramen, clam, mussel, sweet potato noodle thick, glass noodle, and blue crab. I visited dPot based on recommendations from my friend and I was neutral about it. I feel like for the price, I expected a bit more from the restaurant. I think we paid about $44-50 in per person, but I think I could have eaten at somewhere cheaper for the same quality of meat. The sauce station was really really small. I think I waited about 10 minutes for it to be my turn to get the sauce which is not a pleasant feeling. Everyone was gathering around the sauce bar which makes it a bit dangerous, so I wish they make it a little bigger. The meat was mediocre but doable. I was so disappointed to find out that they no longer serve the fried pork belly. This was one of my favorites.

Always a solid experience at dpot! Parking is easy and I've never had to wait more than 15mins to be seated. I love how dpot has SO many options to choose from. Huge fan of their "stacker" and now their new cold soba noodle dish! The crispy pork belly used to be my favorite but lately hasn't been as crispy as when I first tried it. I love how the portions aren't too big so you can try out more of the meat options without being stuck with a giant plate of it. The bussers are so on top of it, and you'll rarely ever have a stack of dirty dishes on your table because they are quick to clear it. Such a steal and always a good time! read more

I came here on a Thursday with some friends to try their lunch special (Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM-3 PM), and even though I forgot to take pictures, this might be my new favorite lunch special spot. They offer eight different broth options, and I highly recommend the spicy Thai broth and the spicy pork broth, both were super flavorful and perfect for shabu. For the lunch special, you can choose from four different meats, and my personal favorites are the prime top blade and the wagyu galbi eye. The restaurant itself is very open and spacious with plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors. I especially love the large windows that bring in lots of natural light, which makes the space feel bright and comfortable. The staff were attentive and kind, and a fun touch is that they offer ramen packets you can add to your shabu pot, which my friends really enjoyed. Personally, I loved loading up on all the veggies, mushrooms, and udon. Parking here is also easy and convenient, which is always a plus. Next time, I'm looking forward to trying their unlimited soba noodle option. We didn't order it this time because the staff mentioned that everyone at the table has to order it, but it definitely sounds worth trying.
