Luckily the other flavors were on point to make up for the disappointment. Also, service was subpar. The cashier was incredibly friendly to the patron ahead of me but I didn't receive the same treatment. For example, she offered a bag to the customer and bagged all her items, but I had to explicitly request one and she just slid the bag across the counter for me to bag my items myself. My sandwich was decent but frankly the only reason I left satisfied to any degree was that I had an app coupon to use; I would have felt absolutely fleeced if I had paid full price. Service is pretty unenthusiastic, and I get it, who is excited to be working in quick-service food? That said, many locations are friendlier, and Firehouse seems to be another victim of the competitive marketplace for hiring good staff. The one standout nice thing about this location is the tables out back, which are great to hang out at on nice days. It's a shared pavilion but so long as you come at a non-peak dinner time it is still relatively quiet. I may still return if decent app coupons come my way, but Firehouse these days is always at least three or four spots down my list of sandwich spots to frequent.
