I had been having issues with my phone for 2 weeks , no service, not being able to make/receive calls or texts. I spent countless hours on the phone with metro with no resolution every time. Honestly, I thought about giving a 3 star rating because I had to wait so long for my phone to get fixed. The guy at the front told me that the tech would be in around 4 so I dropped off my phone around 3:30 since I had other errands to run. The same guy at the front told me the process would take about 1-2 hrs so I called back at 6. He said it wasn't done and to wait for another hour. This repeated until about 9pm. However, the tech was gracious enough to stay past closing time and fix my phone. When I went back later that night to pick it up, it looked as great as the day I bought it. That's why I give it 4 stars. In terms of wait time, I'd give it a 3 only because I kept being told to come back in an hr. In terms of professionalism (how good the phone looked after), I'd give it 5 stars. The work was incredible. It looks like I just bought it. In terms of friendliness, I'd give it 5 stars as well. The staff are all very friendly and even gave tamale/taco recommendations for me and my friends. I would definitely go back for services on my phone as they were helpful, had fair prices, friendly, and had pretty good customer service. __________________________________________________________________ Ok....so update...I originally gave this place a 4 star rating....however....not long after I repaired my screen, it broke again. Yea, that had to do with my own darn clumsiness. However, the reason I changed my rating from a 4 star to 2 star is because they used really cheap glue, which made it impossible to repair my phone the next time the screen shattered. Basically...if you're looking for a cheap fix, this isn't a bad place, as prices are cheap, and they do a pretty good job. First of all, I I want to say how thankful I am to the staff who work here. Everyone here was so friendly, from the moment I called the business seeking their services to the moment I left their premises, and very professional. I did not have an appointment, but needed my phone fixed ASAP as I was going out of town and I work weekends sometimes, nevertheless, they helped me get my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone fixed that same day within an hour! Mind you I had called several places, but they wanted me to wait 3 to 4 days, because they needed to order the screen, since they didn't have it in stock. I was so grateful when I found Dr. Cellphone by 8th street wireless, because they had the part in stock and could help me the same day and for a reasonable price of $130.00! Other places were trying to charge me 150.00 to 180.00 it was ridiculous! I must say Sharone Dividi and his staff are excellent at what they do and I definitely recommend this place to anyone with a broken screen. They fixed my phone and even went past their closing hours to ensure that I was able to pick it up and go home with a brand-new beautiful fixed phone. I reached out for help at Dr. Cellphone to see if they could fix an old broken android phone that I used years ago. I wanted to get it fixed to recover the data within the phone because of the sentimental value. When Sean first saw it, he was honest saying that he could try looking for a solution it but that he couldn't assure it since it was a challenging problem. Sean did his best to diagnose it and try to fix it, but since it's an old and relatively obsolete phone, and it was never a popular type of phone, the blueprints for it weren't available. Sean took his time troubleshooting, hunting down parts for it, and he even consulted with other several specialists but in the end the phone was beyond repair. So, although my cell phone was not repaired, I really appreciate all the work and time he spent attempting to rescue the data within it. When I offered to pay for his efforts he declined any payment, reminding me that at Dr. Cellphone they won't charge if they can't repair the issue. read more

I don't often give 5 stars, but this time it is well deserved. Sean is top notch and won me over with his customer service skills. I was referred to 8th street by another vendor on the westside of town. It was a far drive from Santa Monica, but I was assured it would be worth it. Not only did Sean have the cheapest quote I had received to repair my Galaxy 4 screen, but he also was able to complete the job in less than 30mins. He also threw in a screen protector at no charge. But where he went far and beyond the call of duty, was when I returned 2weeks later with a new issue. My phone was having reception issues, it wouldn't retain a signal for long. I took the phone in to Sean to see if it was perhaps an antenna issue from the screen installation. Not only did he check the antenna, but he spent an hour going through possible scenarios and trying different solutions for the phone. Even though we knew discovered the screen was not an issue, he worked hard to get to the bottom of it. He replaced several parts and after process of elimination he figured out that it was a motherboard issue, and that I could just send it back to Samsung for relatively cheap. He was honest and didn't try to up sell me to another option. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism and will definitely be a repeat customer. read more
