We had to say good bye to our furry family member and we couldn't imagine a better way to do it than through Dr. Marchi. A few days before, we checked out Dr. Marchi's reviews and decided that he would be the one we would call when the time comes. Unfortunately, the time came quickly and we had to call him last minute. He picked up and he was able to make time for us although he had other appointments already booked close to my requested time. He came within about an hour and kindly explained the procedure. We were so nervous that we even forgot to offer him to sit down while he was explaining the procedure. But when we saw how he treated our dog, it calmed down our nervousness. He was petting our dog gently, making sure our dog feels comfortable. He let us know every time he was going to proceed with the next step and didn't make us feel rushed saying our last good byes. After our dog passed, he gently placed him on a stretcher, covered him with blankets, and carried him outside. Before Dr. Marchi drove away, he promised to take a good care of our dog. One week later, we picked up the ashes which came in a nice plastic box with our dog's name on it. Shortly after, we also received a heart warming card from Dr. Marchi. I really didn't want to have to euthanize my dog but his health declined really fast, he couldn't walk anymore and refused to eat and drink. We called Dr. Marchi's office the night before and they were helpful with even recommending other places that can do an emergency one. Unfortunately everything was closing so we had to wait until the morning. I spent from the whole morning with my dog anxious for what I knew was coming. Dr. Marchi arrived and explained and gave us time to say goodbye before giving the first shot. He then asked if we wanted to say any last words because the one he does the second shot my baby boy would pass either in a minute or so or it could be 10-15 minutes. We have him the okay and my baby passed away within a minute. He made us feel comfortable and had a calming vibe. I really appreciate his gentleness and kindness in such a difficult time. Saying goodbye to my 13 year old Golden was really tough. When it was her time, I was debating whether to bring her to my regular vet or using Dr. Marchi, who was referred to me. Making the decision to euthanize a beloved pet is heartbreaking, even when you know it's the right thing to do. When my husband and I recognized it was time to say goodbye to our sweet Cobie girl and end her suffering from Lymphoma, we knew we wanted to do it at home and make it as peaceful as possible for her. It took a lot for me to even call about putting my cancer stricken dog to sleep. But when I did I spoke directly to Dr. Marchi and he was very easy going and walked me through how the procedure would go. There was no pressure and his schedule was very accommodating. When he and an assistant arrived, they text 20 min before to let us know they were coming, they were very respectful and extremely kind to my family and both my dogs. They definitely understood the gravity of the situation. My other dog and 2 children were present for the procedure and the doctor was very patient and accommodating. There was no rush. We were allowed as much time as we needed to say goodbye. We pet our dog and had hands on her all the way until the end. The sequence of events that was to occur was explained to us very clearly ahead of time and again as it happened. We felt this was absolutely the best way to honor and love our pet and thank her for her years of being with us (I'm tearing up writing this). We had to say goodbye to our sweet, 12 years old cat because of lymphoma that had spread to his kidneys. Both veterinarians I saw gave me the same advice: euthanasia was the most humane thing to help him. Because of Covid-19 restrictions, and also because my cat was always terrified at the vet's office, we wanted him to be at home with our other cats so I looked for someone who could do euthanasia at home. We called and emailed three places and I decided that it would be Dr. Marchi. I don't regret it. Dr. Marchi was perfect, he was calm, compassionate and understood my anxiety. He was also very gentle with my cat, which made me feel better. He reassured me every step on the way, answering my questions and giving me some advice even on a Sunday / Mother's Day.
