Seems like pub food is very popular down by Carlsbads/San Diego. Karl Strauss brewery is also within 5 mins distance. All American food menu - large portions and relatively tasty. No complaints. Service was a little scattered - served without utensils or napkins... or plates... or drinks... but the staffs were friendly.

Rode down to Carlsbad for lunch and stopped into Draft Republic. Definitely a sportspersons mecca as well as good food, beer, and service. Ordered the Draft Republic Sliders (3 slider combination; 2 beef with american cheese, pickles, nashville fried chicken with coleslaw) with fries and a garden salad. Washed down with a Blonde Ale Pure Project (Tropical Mist).

My family and friends and I love coming here for dinner! Although it is more of a sports bar with an arcade, they do have some full restaurant seating options. Their food is amazing here as well. Honestly everything I've ever ordered has impressed me every time. I recently had their blackened shrimp chop chop salad and it was divine. Their vinaigrette with feta cheese really brought all of the different flavors of the salad together. Shrimp was perfectly blackened too! Some of my favorite apps include their brussel sprouts, buffalo cauliflower, buffalo and sweet chili lime wings, bang bang shrimp, and onion rings. All of their pizzas and especially their spicy bbq chicken Mac and cheese are just delicious. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with any option you can order off their menu!

What a great sports bar! Came for the FIFA game - definitely a great place to catch future matches. Multiple large screen TVs all around- so no matter where you sit, you'll catch the action. Watch all the action with a great drinks and food menu. We had the giant pretzel - which did not disappoint. Very large, airy and chewy - served with both a cheese sauce and a honey mustard sauce. Extensive beer menuVery attentive service, regularly checking on us to make sure we were good. Also, very dog friendly. They call it an outdoor patio - but it's covered and feels like it's inside. Enjoy !

Our server- Mia was super friendly and helpful, that made the frst visit very enjoyable. Huge selection of good beer and many holidays promotions, even the fun golf stimulation room has Wed half off, and it's a great deal!

Well, we were going to go to the burger joint that you can get In and Out of really quickly, but we had a gift card for Draft Republic so decided to give that a try. It had a cool sporty vibe with lots of TVs showing various games which was entertaining for us. As luck would have it we arrived a few minutes before Happy Hour was ending. Score! The hubby ordered Happy Hour salad, and the pretzel bites to precede his meal. He liked the salad, but I had the pretzel bites and they were soft, warm, and pillowy and the beer cheese dip was out of this world! I also ordered the $20 Happy Hour deal which included a smash burger, a small salad, fries (I upgraded to onion rings) and a beer. Everything was fantastic. The burger was so tasty and it was a nice touch to get the salad AND a side. The hubby got the chicken Parmesan - two huge pieces of well prepared chicken and a good amount of spaghetti. Needless to say, we took half of our meals home, which was a bonus. Our server was Carlos and he made sure we were taken care of. He even made sure my burger meal came out at the same time as the hubby's main dish, even though it was a Happy Hour item. Gift card or not, I'm looking forward to going back and trying more things.

Our first and last time here!!!!! Waitress was nice I'll give them that. But the food- holy moly the food. I got a $23 surf and turf sandwich which seemed like the bread just read about surf and turf online. Very little meat no veggies and no sauce on stale but somehow greasy bread . . Fries were the star of my show but the ketchup was chipotle and after asking for more it had a very different consistency. Small salad was just that a pedestrian tea cup salad with a vinaigrette and stale croutons. Quesadilla seemed like someone took a scoop of fatty meat and cheese and place it in the middle of the tortilla leaving the outer edges sad and dry. Beer list was okay- some great breweries but only their flagships. I will say $10 for a pint of space dust is insane. It's not good exotic or expensive- it's just over 9%. The ambiance left much to be desired as our table conversation was drowned out by high volume awful poppy music, a table full of teenagers throwing ice at each other and their parents two tables over screaming across the table. The cherry on the top a a surprise 5% feet to cover increased cost. Ummm. I just paid $22 for a quesadilla with about $2 worth of ingredients $23 for roll that pretended to be a sandwich and $8-10 a pint for generic beer. What increased cost is not covered?!? Do yourself a favor and wait for a table at Karl Strauss or Yard house.

Got to watch the Australian Open on one of the many TVs there!

Came here as part of a wedding group, and they were able to comfortably fit us all! Service was fast and friendly, and there are lots of TVs everywhere (we watched the Australian tennis open). There is an arcade and golf simulators for those who are so inclined, and the food was great! We had sliders (beef, friend chicken, and pulled pork), mac and cheese with friend onions, and French fries--all were simple but delicious!

We came here on a whim for my husband's birthday. Service was AMAZING. Management was super helpful. One of the games wasn't working and my 7 year old tapped the card repeatedly not understanding it wasn't working. Totally drained the card. Our sever immediately got management to fix it. We had an absolute blast! Our server was Gage, but everyone was so helpful it was hard to tell who our server was. Definitely come during the daytime/early afternoon. No crowds. Just fun!!

it's saturday night. we don't have a reservation. they tell us the wait is over an hour. what do we…read moredo? we wait. and thank jebus we did, because this ended up being one of the best meals i've had in a while. we started with the prawn. we each got one, and given that they're $10 a skewer, our bill started off STRONG. the prawns were perfectly roasted with hints of mezcal and prickly pear. the candied habanero or whatever garnish of death was on there totally kicked my ass in terms of spice. in true Asian fashion, we ripped the heads off and sucked all the goodness out of them too. no shame. you don't waste the good stuff. then the cornbread showed up. the group collectively agreed we'd pass on this one next time. for me, the goat cheese threw me off, but that's entirely on me because i hate goat cheese and still knowingly ordered something with goat cheese. i played myself. there was absolutely nothing wrong with the dish, but compared to everything else we ate, there wasn't anything particularly standout about it either. but then. the fucking broccoli showed up. it is literally charred broccoli with chermoula, lime, and peanut. that's it. BROCCOLI. and after taking one bite, i learned that broccoli could, in fact, be life changing. suddenly i was a new woman. a woman who wanted nothing more than to sit there and stuff her face with massive amounts of broccoli. unfortunately, i couldn't because we still had dishes to taste. and so i moved on to the pork belly. when people describe something as "melting in your mouth," they are specifically referring to Campfire's pork belly. because that's exactly what it did. just melted all up in my mouth and lit my taste buds on fire. normally, i find pork belly prepared this way a little heavy and can only stomach a few bites, but i could have eaten the entire dish. but of course i didn't, because i'm a lady. and the octopus was about to show up. and show up it DID. i don't like celery, and this dish had plenty of it, but because it was shaved super thin, it was actually super palatable. the octopus was incredibly tender, and there were little bits of chorizo throughout that gave it the perfect balance. also, love me a good chimichurri sauce. and finally, last but truly not least, the chicken. a whole ass half bird, charred to perfection with roasted red pepper, kumquat, and fennel. apparently i like fennel now??? i didn't even know i liked fennel like that, but here we are. if i hadn't already been stuffed to the absolute brim, i could have destroyed this entire dish. the chicken was juicy and tender, and paired with the fennel, you're almost like just having a healthy dish??? LOL. although we went in with every intention of ending the night with s'mores, our bodies simply said no. there was no more room at the inn. see what i did there :P so instead, we left and went on a very long walk to digest all the delicious goodness that was Campfire. i cannot wait to go back. mostly for the broccoli, which is a sentence i never thought i'd write in my life. and this time, i will absolutely be making a reservation.

Oh, Campfire, I'm glad you're still here and still have a special place in my heart. That said, my…read morelast two visits have been underwhelming. I always order the same dishes: the porridge bread, roasted broccoli, and ribeye for two. Since nothing else on the menu particularly interests me, those dishes are generally good--but when I'm spending $250-$300 on dinner for two, I expect the food to be exceptional, and it just hasn't been. I also haven't found the cocktails especially impressive in recent years. Campfire helped bring craft cocktails to Carlsbad, and my husband and I still reminisce about drinks like the roasted beet and charred corn. Unfortunately, the current cocktail menu hasn't made the same impression. Campfire is worth trying if you've never been, but as a local, it's no longer a restaurant I look forward to visiting regularly. These days, I'd probably go about once a year.

I had the lamb burger special and it was truly to die for. If I hadn't worried about being too full I could have eaten another because it was so good. I think this should be a regular menu item. It was cooked perfectly and it was truly mouthwatering with all the toppings. Usually I hate buns but this bun was so soft and squishy and NOT dry that I gobbled it down. It came with a side and I was a little disappointed because it lists the sides on the menu and a side salad was one of them but when I got the bill it was extra for the side salad. When I asked she said there is an upcharge for the side salad (which was not noted on the menu). But the salad was great too so no problem! One friend had the pizza which I would not rate as an amazing pizza (I am an East Coaster so I am a pizza snob) but my friend loved it. They had some very cool toppings for their pizzas too. If you are going to go for a really good pizza I wouldn't go here. Come here for the other stuff on the menu. My other friend had the fish and chips and loved it. The portions were all very good sized. I am looking forward to returning - especially if I can get that lamb burger again.

For a restaurant at this level--and at these prices--I expected the coffee to be much better. We ordered off the menu on day one and ate outside, and we ordered their Weekend buffet ($25) on day two and ate inside. Both breakfasts were made extra special by our wonderful server Digna. We were so lucky to enjoy her fun personality, engagement, and overall charm on both mornings. On Day One, I ordered something I had seen on menus for years, but never tried before. My Chilaquiles ($22) were" a savory bowl of Boraccho beans, queso fresco, avocado, eggs, red onion, bathed in a guajillo chile sauce". I thanked Digna who taught me how to pronounce it. I loved the taste- the sauce and the tortilla wedges, sliced avocado, and egg. What a feast. On Day Two I went with the buffet and went straight to the big pile of smoked salmon, red onion slices, chive cream cheese and mini bagels. The salmon was high quality thinly sliced, just the way we like it. The buffet also had everything you want in a buffet- hot dishes, pastries, yogurt, and fruit. The fruit was great-plenty of watermelon, assorted melons, and berries. I did find it odd that when I went to toast my bagel, I saw they only had one toaster with four slots. Unfortunately, the two left slots did not work, so restaurant patrons were lining up to toast their breads one at a time. I mentioned this to one of the staff, and his response was "Yeah, we know." Anyway, that indifferent reaction was more than counterbalanced by the fantastic food and Digna's 1,000-watt personality. And what's the origin of Digna's unique name? I asked her and she said her mother named her after a street in her home town.

Oh how I'm going to miss you. This location will be closing November 13th and I had to make a trek…read moreone last time to visit where it all started for me. Stone was the one that started my love for craft beer. From the first day I came to visit, I was in love. It was the beautiful Biergarten and the amazing staff. Same is true today as everything from the service to the food was fantastic. This location is so grand! I had reservations, but noticed that bar seating was available and I just love the bar because you can hang out with friends and start a conversation with your bartenders. I ordered a couple of IPAs and they were great! For a light snack, I ordered the Yellowfin Ahi Poke Nachos which came with wonton crisps, marinated cucumbers, scallions, wakame seaweed salad, furikake, sriracha mayo and avocado crema. It was the right amount of spice and paired well with the IPAs I had. Come enjoy the beautiful location, enjoy some beers and great food along with the friendly staff one last time before this wonderful location closes. You won't regret it! There's ample parking available and don't forget to visit the gift shop to get some beers to go and Stone merchandise - especially the one that says Stone Escondido on it. I grabbed a shirt for the memories!
