We've been using Dragon Air Services for about 18 months, and I won't consider using anyone else. I found them after an unpleasant experience with another local HVAC company we had been using tried lies and scare tactics to manipulating us into purchasing a new system that we did not yet need. Not only were they dishonest, by saying our system was leaking CO into our home, which that was not true, but they also tried to price gouge us. Our system was 19 years old and they most likely would have been success in pulling this fast one if their quote was anywhere near reasonable. I found Dragon Air after calling around for a second opinion. They came out with tools that measure CO and verified that we were not leaking CO. About one year later that old system finally gave it up so I called Dragon Air back out. They gave me a quote that was so freakin superior to the one their competitors had given me. I was able to purchase a two stage 17 SEER system for the same amount of money the other company wanted for a single stage 16 SEER system. Our second old HVAC system just went out last month. I again called Dragon Air and had our second system replaced. This time we went with a variable speed 18 SEER unit. It is so much better the old system. Our attic has limited space available for air ducts. Dragon Air added what they could which greatly improved the system's ability to keep all our rooms comfortable. Will be switching to Dragon Air. After a new AC install by my current company, for 2 plus years had been asking my current AC company to fix the issue with the condensation line-there was always water in the overflow pan and I was concerned eventually it would leak through. My current company kept telling me it's because the new systems put out so much water that can happen and the lines can get clogged (so they would blow out the "clogged line" with an air compressor). The problem was I have two separate units and never had the issue with the other which was also a new install. Tried Dragon Air because they helped me out in a pinch approx 2 years ago in moving an air duct when my company was unavailable. I called Dragon Air again because was getting no where with my current company and Dragon Air immediately figured out the problem was the condensation line was never leveled appropriately when my current company installed the new AC system which resulted in the condensation flowing back onto the coils which in turned would result in drainage into the overflow pan. Dragon Air fixed it quickly and never tried to sell me or swindle me on a more expensive repair. They won my loyalty and I will be switching to Dragon Air. read more

This team saved us! Saved my marriage, saved my sanity! House was at 90 degrees. Called dragon air Sunday around 4pm. Got a call back in 10-15mins. Danny came out on an emergency call out within the hour around 5pm. He determined compressor was bad after comprehensive testing. A very fair after hours callout fee. An hour later the Company owner Dragan was personally onsite to discuss our options - including checking the manufactures warranty. He went back to his local plano store 7pm and delivered us a portable window unit for our bedroom overnight. Dragan and his team was back here 8am Monday morning with one of his brand new Silver 16 American standard units he had setup in his store for customer display. By 1045am it was all done and invoiced. The house is now almost back to normal temp at noon today. About an hour later I got an email with the invoice and I have to say the entire episode was about as pleasurable as a heater repair can be. I was in need of a new company to take over preventative maintenance of out HVAC. We contacted Dragon because of all the 5* reviews and they really are top notch. They came out this morning to do preventative maintenance on our heater and, low and behold, it didn't turn on. We specifically scheduled them to do the maintenance before it got cold so it could be fixed if anything didn't work. They showed me that the gas valve was getting gas to it and the electrical signal to turn on, but it simply wasn't so it needed to be replaced. I expected them to schedule a service time next week, today is Fridays. Instead, they said they'd be back this afternoon. It was unfortunate that I was informed the heat would not come on in my home and I didn't know who to call to solve the problem. Actually, I did, but my friends and family were unavailable to assist this time---so I had to go back to the drawing board. Great ol' yelp led me to dragon air and the customer service and responsiveness was impeccable. Dragan answered the phone immediately, explained there would be a $75.00 trip charge and told me he'd have someone (his brother) out within 2 hours; and he did. Aleks, his brother, continued to keep me informed during the diagnostic phase and informed me the "minor" issue was fixed with no additional monies needed--chyeah! I had an appointment and they worked around my schedule to come. They arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. They had to go get my part and they again worked around my schedule by to come back and install the new part. They were very polite, well spoken, explained the problem clearly to me and wore shoe covers in the house. Dragan and Aleks were completely awesome to work with on my HVAC. When I bought my home, I knew the HVAC would have to be dealt with in probably 1-3 years. Everything seemed to be okay at the springtime maintenance earlier this year (or as okay as things can be on a 14-year old HVAC unit), but in mid-May things started to go downhill due to its age. They allowed me some time to do my own research, and gave me a fair quote. When advising you what new system(s) would be best to replace your old one, they take into account everything about your home (windows, doors, square footage, etc.) and they also asked what temperatures I typically like the A/C set at. They are very thorough in their assessment and don't try to sell you something you don't need. Because it hadn't been too long since my spring maintenance appointment, Dragan even took a bit off the quoted price for me (which was much appreciated!). It was easy to get the replacement date scheduled. Both guys are extremely informed about all things HVAC; they patiently answered any and all questions I had. The team covered my Brazilian red cherry wood stairs and wore booties in the house. They got started around mid-morning and were done by dinner (I have an extremely small/tight attic to work in, but they handled it like champs -- never complained). For both times, Dragan was very responsive through Yelp in securing an appointment. The maintenance appointment was non-urgent, but the latest appointment was more of the "I need help...soon!" type. Both times they did not disappoint. I'm already seeing the energy savings from the new unit, and so far so good -- ah, it's great to be cool again. Financially I was prepared for replacing the HVAC, but it still stings when you have to do it. There's no other company I'd rather work with for something like this. The gentleman who answered the phone kindly and patiently walked me through about 30 minutes of troubleshooting to see if we could get the air conditioner to work before they sent somebody out. Unfortunately, we were not able to solve the problem, but they were able to get somebody out to my house quickly the next day. The guys were here on time, they were kind, clean, and fast working. After one A/C company gave me an extremely high quote to replace a leaking evaporator coil, I decided to get a couple other quotes. Dragon and the team made recommendations on options, giving us high, medium, and low range models. We ended up going with the medium range models for both units. Dragon's service is fast and professional. Our AC stopped cooling this Thursday. We thought it might be a refrigerant problem. The technician came and told us a small part just needed a replacement. The total cost was $125 (diagnostics)+$150 (replacement). The technician was very professional. The temperature was extremely hot on Friday (106 F), but he managed to wrap up everything in less than 30 minutes. We gave him some coconut water, and he didn't ask for tips. It is reasonable to ask a few tips to work in such hot weather, but he did not do so. read more

At first I was a little hesitant on the quote but it's mainly because I didn't understand the amount of work and items that needed to be replaced. Within an hour of calling them, Jeff was at my door and quickly diagnosed the issue (turned out to be the same issue the other folks found) and provided me a quote for less than the other guys. Not only this, but Jeff took time out of his own day to check on the warranty for my unit with the manufacturer to try and save me some cash, swing by to oversee the repair, and make sure everything went smoothly. He's also checked up after the fact to make sure things continue to run properly. I made a point to avoid calling big chain companies and only call what appeared to be honest, local businesses and I am glad I did. Called Dragan and his brother Alex came out in a few days and resolved our pressing issue (optimizing our AC performance which was running long every day while temps were just in the 90s). We still have an issue with the heater turning on right now, but obviously with it being June in TX, it's not exactly a huge concern right now. Dragan said they'll set up another appointment in a few months to come fix the issue. Anyway, when they came out, they cleaned off the external HVAC unit, checked things like the pressure and everything else, and made sure it all was in good shape before leaving. As a result, I saw via historical log recorded that our daily AC use dropped about an hour or 2 on average over the next week. I had an issue with our HVAC. We have AHS warranty and they give you a choice of a few contractors, but sometimes they don't look so hot. In this case, I opted to bypass our warranty service and find a better option with hopes the issue would just be a quick fix. The Dragon Air guys came out within a couple hours. The technician was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem quickly. Unfortunately, it was going to be an expensive repair so I opted to use a contractor from the warranty service for that.
