I was in need of a new company to take over preventative maintenance of out HVAC. We contacted Dragon because of all the 5* reviews and they really are top notch. They came out this morning to do preventative maintenance on our heater and, low and behold, it didn't turn on. We specifically scheduled them to do the maintenance before it got cold so it could be fixed if anything didn't work. They showed me that the gas valve was getting gas to it and the electrical signal to turn on, but it simply wasn't so it needed to be replaced. I expected them to schedule a service time next week, today is Fridays. Instead, they said they'd be back this afternoon. I sent Dragon Air an online request for assistance on a Tuesday, I was called back by the tech a few minutes later and an appointment was made for the following morning. He arrived exactly at the time he said. He and his partner made quick work of the issue and then spent several minutes with us pointing out things we could or should do in the future to help make things more reliable. About an hour later I got an email with the invoice and I have to say the entire episode was about as pleasurable as a heater repair can be. Hats off to Corbin Nicholson and Braden Barger who were both friendly, polite, extremely helpful and just all around NICE. All that and it didn't even cost that much. This team saved us! Saved my marriage, saved my sanity! House was at 90 degrees. Called dragon air Sunday around 4pm. Got a call back in 10-15mins. Danny came out on an emergency call out within the hour around 5pm. He determined compressor was bad after comprehensive testing. A very fair after hours callout fee. An hour later the Company owner Dragan was personally onsite to discuss our options - including checking the manufactures warranty. He went back to his local plano store 7pm and delivered us a portable window unit for our bedroom overnight. Dragan and his team was back here 8am Monday morning with one of his brand new Silver 16 American standard units he had setup in his store for customer display. By 1045am it was all done and invoiced. The house is now almost back to normal temp at noon today. It was unfortunate that I was informed the heat would not come on in my home and I didn't know who to call to solve the problem. Actually, I did, but my friends and family were unavailable to assist this time---so I had to go back to the drawing board. Great ol' yelp led me to dragon air and the customer service and responsiveness was impeccable. Dragan answered the phone immediately, explained there would be a $75.00 trip charge and told me he'd have someone (his brother) out within 2 hours; and he did. Aleks, his brother, continued to keep me informed during the diagnostic phase and informed me the "minor" issue was fixed with no additional monies needed--chyeah! Definitely recommend them and if another issue occurs, I'll definitely give them a call but hopefully that is no time soon! read more

Like others have mentioned here, I wasn't sure if all these positive reviews could be real?!! After one A/C company gave me an extremely high quote to replace a leaking evaporator coil, I decided to get a couple other quotes. I researched A/C companies online and decided to give Dragon Air a call. They were really upfront about possible issues with my evaporator coil and gave me options. Of course my A/C went out in the middle of the grueling, hot Texas summer! Braden was able to come out that day to evaluate and was able to repair the next day! Dragan and Aleks were completely awesome to work with on my HVAC. When I bought my home, I knew the HVAC would have to be dealt with in probably 1-3 years. Everything seemed to be okay at the springtime maintenance earlier this year (or as okay as things can be on a 14-year old HVAC unit), but in mid-May things started to go downhill due to its age. They allowed me some time to do my own research, and gave me a fair quote. When advising you what new system(s) would be best to replace your old one, they take into account everything about your home (windows, doors, square footage, etc.) and they also asked what temperatures I typically like the A/C set at. They are very thorough in their assessment and don't try to sell you something you don't need. Because it hadn't been too long since my spring maintenance appointment, Dragan even took a bit off the quoted price for me (which was much appreciated!). It was easy to get the replacement date scheduled. Both guys are extremely informed about all things HVAC; they patiently answered any and all questions I had. The team covered my Brazilian red cherry wood stairs and wore booties in the house. They got started around mid-morning and were done by dinner (I have an extremely small/tight attic to work in, but they handled it like champs -- never complained). For both times, Dragan was very responsive through Yelp in securing an appointment. The maintenance appointment was non-urgent, but the latest appointment was more of the "I need help...soon!" type. Both times they did not disappoint. I'm already seeing the energy savings from the new unit, and so far so good -- ah, it's great to be cool again. Financially I was prepared for replacing the HVAC, but it still stings when you have to do it. There's no other company I'd rather work with for something like this. The gentleman who answered the phone kindly and patiently walked me through about 30 minutes of troubleshooting to see if we could get the air conditioner to work before they sent somebody out. Unfortunately, we were not able to solve the problem, but they were able to get somebody out to my house quickly the next day. The guys were here on time, they were kind, clean, and fast working. Dragon and the team made recommendations on options, giving us high, medium, and low range models. We ended up going with the medium range models for both units. Dragon's service is fast and professional. Our AC stopped cooling this Thursday. We thought it might be a refrigerant problem. The technician came and told us a small part just needed a replacement. The total cost was $125 (diagnostics)+$150 (replacement). The technician was very professional. The temperature was extremely hot on Friday (106 F), but he managed to wrap up everything in less than 30 minutes. We gave him some coconut water, and he didn't ask for tips. It is reasonable to ask a few tips to work in such hot weather, but he did not do so. read more

200% satisfied with our service with Dragan as he went above just replacing our furnace & system. At first I was a little hesitant on the quote but it's mainly because I didn't understand the amount of work and items that needed to be replaced. When I saw everything that was done today I definitely feel that he gave us an extremely fair price. During our walk through he pointed out one off issues or adjustments he took care of at no extra charge to ensure that we were taken care of. He even gave us an extra filter and made an extra platform so that it would be easier to change our filter in the future at no extra charge (that was surprising)! My downstairs AC system had gone out and I hadn't actually realized it for about a week since the weather had been so nice. I called a different HVAC company who came out, took a look, found the issue, gave me a quote to fix it, and left all within about 5 mins. The quoted price was quite high so I started calling around for a second opinion just to cover my bases and noticed Dragon Air had some stellar reviews online, so I gave them a call. Within an hour of calling them, Jeff was at my door and quickly diagnosed the issue (turned out to be the same issue the other folks found) and provided me a quote for less than the other guys. Not only this, but Jeff took time out of his own day to check on the warranty for my unit with the manufacturer to try and save me some cash, swing by to oversee the repair, and make sure everything went smoothly. He's also checked up after the fact to make sure things continue to run properly. I made a point to avoid calling big chain companies and only call what appeared to be honest, local businesses and I am glad I did. Called Dragan and his brother Alex came out in a few days and resolved our pressing issue (optimizing our AC performance which was running long every day while temps were just in the 90s). We still have an issue with the heater turning on right now, but obviously with it being June in TX, it's not exactly a huge concern right now. Dragan said they'll set up another appointment in a few months to come fix the issue. Anyway, when they came out, they cleaned off the external HVAC unit, checked things like the pressure and everything else, and made sure it all was in good shape before leaving. As a result, I saw via historical log recorded that our daily AC use dropped about an hour or 2 on average over the next week. Dragan and his brother know their stuff, they show up on time, and they charge a fair price for the work they do. Definitely keep them in mind for HVAC work. They are fantastic! read more

I had an issue with our HVAC. We have AHS warranty and they give you a choice of a few contractors, but sometimes they don't look so hot. In this case, I opted to bypass our warranty service and find a better option with hopes the issue would just be a quick fix. The Dragon Air guys came out within a couple hours. The technician was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem quickly. Unfortunately, it was going to be an expensive repair so I opted to use a contractor from the warranty service for that. When your heat goes out in the middle of the night and your wife wakes up shivering, there's only two choices -- call someone or fix it yourself. Fortunately, I'm kinda handy so I checked the filter, the connections, the Ecobee and then disconnected everything and replugged everything in and it worked... ...for about four hours... ...and then it shut down again. And this time, I couldn't get it back on. It's a Trane system and the board appeared to be the original from 50 years ago. I'm not sure if that's even possible but it looked pretty old and some of the connections on the board looked burnt. I probably could've replaced the board myself but this is one of those things that if I got it right, I was a hero and if I got it wrong, maybe my house blows up. So I called DRAGON. He answered his own phone and was very friendly. He was also the only guy who could come out the same day which was nice because my wife was already cold enough BEFORE losing heat :) He only charged $75 to come check it out which I think is very fair. He tried everything to get it going and didn't mind that I sat next to him in the attic watching and learning from him while he checked the connections and power with his voltmeter. In the end, he did determine I needed a new board and offered to pick one up and come by the next morning to replace it. The cost was like $450 for parts and labor. I didn't even bother getting a second opinion. Dragon was friendly, responsive, helpful, prompt, communicative and is the actual owner of the company (yes, his name is DRAGON!). I couldn't have been more impressed by how DRAGON runs his business. There are plenty of HVAC companies out there NOT doing it right. Why not call the guy who DOES IT RIGHT? read more

Our upstairs AC unit started acting up and eventually stopped cooling the home. We assumed it was dead and asked Dragan to come out and take a look. We expected the worse and anticipated having to spend $$$ on a new AC unit. Dragan patiently explained all of our options and we decided to replace the motor on the unit instead.
