    Hunan vegetarian chicken.

Chinese takeout with a great vegetarian selection. I was on a road-trip and decided to check this place out. I'm not one to shy away based on location, but do note that it's not in the best part of Norfolk. This is a take-out place, although there are a few small tables. I assume they're just for staff and/or customers to wait at. I ordered the Hunan Vegetarian Chicken and it took less than 10 minutes to be ready. The portion itself was very big and I could barely eat half of it. The dish had a solid kick of spice to it. Not too much, but keep this in mind if you're not too big on spicy foods - it's certainly not mild. The imitation meat was good and had a very soft texture, which I liked, because at some places vegetarian chicken can be quite tough. The meal included a nice variety of vegetables, including plenty of broccoli. All in all, I'd definitely come here again to try other things. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. As for the prices, they're also good. Most lunches come to about $6 and dinner portions are around $10. Special items are higher, as expected.

Drago City has good food, great value, and they deliver!!

I don't understand why it this place doesn't have more stars?!? I'm new to the area, so I'm getting my usual places all set up. This is the first Chinese food I've tried here. It is WONDERFUL. The food is inexpensive, well flavored, comes in generous portions, and it's prepared quickly. The staff (owners?) Are friendly and although they don't speak super good English (uhh, NOT a priority for me at a Chinese place!!), they are helpful! Like other reviews, you may not want to eat IN the restaurant as it's not the nicest place. They deliver and you can get it to go!! Very good food at a great price!

My first time here, ordered via phone as I left ODU they said ten minutes I was there in five minutes I paid and food was ready! Good timing, great service, location is by the food lion plaza. I ordered one item the shrimp chow Mein (expected thin, crispy noodles) nope didn't get that. Apparently once I called cashier explained it's just cabbage in a white/clear sauce it tasted fine I just felt like it was more of a soup with a whole lot of celery cabbage and onions! Good amount of shrimp very bland seasoning but somehow flavor was ok. My meal came with a side of rice that was good! The crispy chip/noodles it came with were very stale as they were generously put in my bag! This is a TO GO spot don't stay and eat it's not pretty! I'll use them again for a Chinese fix as their menu is better than Kin woks and they're on my way home from work. Lo Mein INSTEAD of Chow Mein next time.

Used to love getting vegan food here, but they changed owners and got rid of mostly all the vegan food. Wish they would bring it back.

I called earlier in the day to see if we should make reservations, but was told they wouldn't be busy. Well, we got there and while they had plenty of tables at 6:30PM, but 7PM that place was completely packed! They had lots of carry-out orders happening too, which all made the kitchen a little slow. We ordered many dishes to share and all started coming out one after another over the next hour until the beef & broccoli was the last dish. Again, I attribute the slowness of the kitchen to their being so busy. At least all the food that came out was very fresh, tasty, and piping hot. Some interesting items that were quite good were their potatoes and green peppers. This dish is something I've never seen before but was pretty good! It features long julienned potatoes that they clearly soak in water before wok'ing with the peppers - that was all that was in the dish, but it was still tasty. Their Fish in Chili Oil & Bean Sprouts was really tasty and fresh! The fish is flounder. Their spicy wontons in chili oil were very popular with our group too. Service here was friendly too and helpful. Like I said, we tried many items, so many more than I just outlined and all were nice. I'd definitely return for a slightly more elevated Chinese menu from what you get at the typical Chinese-American joints.

That was reassuring, busy is usual a good sign that the food is good. The location is great, close to the beach. The food was nicely packaged in sturdy containers and not styrofoam! It is one of those things where one place might have great fried rice, one has great egg rolls, and another has great lo mein. Overall the food was good as I went with the General Tsos combo that comes with regular fried rice but for a small upcharge if you want to change the rice to pork or shrimp. To me it is still unusual as I thought ham fried rice was just a normal thing that comes with a dinner combo along with an egg roll. Not anymore. I ordered an eggroll (2 per order) to go with the meal along with a teriyaki stick. The teriyaki stick (you get 2 per order) was pretty good and not dried out to the point where it could pass for jerky. The chicken in the dinner was good and not overly breaded. It was supposedly spicy but trust me anyone could handle this spice. Good spot to quench your hankering for some American Chinese food. Parking can be a bit iffy with a few spaces in the front on the street shared with other restaurants but the same holds true for the spaces behind the building.
